2 THE SEASON TO BE HEATHEN Christmas is a strange sort of festival to be found in a Christian society. Its title gives it a pseudo-christian appearance, and church veneer attempts to cover its pagan core. But, under those disguises is a beast which annually devours the fruits of man s labor and breeds license in the heart of both adult and child. I dare say that Daddy gets a bigger kick out of telling the lies about Santa than the kids get from having to act dumb about it all for the bribe of receiving gifts. Christmas appeals to the pagan spirit. It is Humanism at its best. It is worship of lust, indulgence, revelry, and greed. Bars, department stores, living rooms, even bordellos are the shrines which facilitate the Solstice worshippers with all their trappings of Christmas trees, parties, booze, gifts, and live red Santas. TV sets are the preachers. The offering plates are the teller windows or ATMs at the banks. The tokens of worship: credit cards. But that is here in Australia. This society has developed its own peculiar Christmas traditions. What of other societies in other lands? As usual, the broader the analysis of the subject, the more objective we can be. The following article from The Smithsonian Magazine should help people see Christmas from a little different perspective one that immediately seems pagan in nature, and yet held by a people who consider themselves Christians. This brief account of the way they celebrate their Christmas tradition should give many Australians reason to reflect upon their own. The warm, cheery spirit with which people claim to be infected at this time of year can take on quite different trappings. What makes one people warm and cheery in one land might appall those in another land, even though the traditions stem from a common stock. Toward the end of December, nearing the Winter Solstice (the death and rebirth of the Sun ), pagan roots are strong.... Ben Williams In the Mountains of Styria, a province in southeastern Austria, ancient pre-christian customs remain an integral part of the folk-loristic life of the people. Bad Mitterndorf, a village high in the mountains at the eastern end of the Central European Alps, is the only place where the Eve of Saint Nicholas Day is still celebrated in its original, mysterious manner. (Although The Netherlands traditionally also has Saint Nicholas Day). The stark winter comes early in these parts. Centuries ago, when the people of the area were mainly pastoralists, they had to slaughter many of their animals at the beginning of each winter because there would not be enough hay to sustain the livestock through the cold months. The slaughter included sacrifices to ancestors and other spirits. After Christianity, the sacrifices to the spirits evolved into the gifts to the children, and one night every year the supernatural beings, accompanied by Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of children, took to the streets. At this time of year, the deep valley, surrounded by high mountains, fills with shadows by the middle of the afternoon. Soon the last rays of the sun cast an amber glow on the mountain walls that loom to the south. Night falls suddenly. On December 5, the eve of Saint Nicholas Day, the streets of Bad Mittendorf are deserted. The snow muffles almost every sound and a hollow quietude fills the valley. A conspiracy of emptiness comes out of the darkness, and from behind the curtains, children stare out at the moving shadows cast by the swaying street lights. The rattling of a chain from a nearby stable or the squeaking of a door any inconsistent noise brings fear and anticipation to everyone, especially to the children. Suddenly from afar comes a rattling and a stamping, and in the next moment a horde of wild creatures with horned masks charges around the building corner and down the main street, roaring and swinging chains and birch twigs from side to side and shaking bells that are attached to their furry bodies. Outside the village they join the many odd figures already gathered there. The children tremble and families get ready to watch as the procession moves through the village to the market square. Creatures in straw costumes, each with two long, antenna-like sticks on their heads, lead the procession. They walk in a stately manner and rhythmically crack their whips in a motion of sweeping the path. They represent cornfield demons, and their origin is unknown. The medieval Nachtwachter (night watchman), with his halberd, lantern, and signal horn, follows the figures in straw. As he did in days long past, he calls out the night s safety warning. Next comes a rider on a white horse, wearing a feathered headpiece and a fur coat. In North European legends, riders of white horses were thought to possess supernatural powers of good and evil. Saint Nicholas himself followed; walking by his side is his companion, known as Bartel. Bartel is dressed in furs and wears bells at his belt. On his back, he carries a whole basketful of gifts. In one hand Bartel carries birch sprigs with which he punishes bad children. Saint Nicholas rewards good children with gifts from the basket. With his long sparkling white beard, mitre, red chasuble, and golden staff, his appearance is regal beside that of his unruly-looking companion. In the fourth century, Nicholas was probably a bishop in Asia Minor. Although his life is not documented, his legend and popularity grew, and as early as the sixth century, he was already popular as a saint in the Eastern Church. He became the patron saint of sailors, children, travellers, the poor, trade groups, cities and eventually all of old Russia and several other countries. In the eleventh century, when Italian sailors reportedly brought his bones to Italy, his cult had already spread to the Western Church. His fame and popularity reached the Austrian Alps in the twelfth century. Among the celebrants in Bad Mittendorf procession are a priest, an angel, and a figure personifying Death. Death has a white wooden skull, wears a black costume with a skeleton painted over it, and swings a scythe. There are 2 #343

3 many others in the procession: a beggar with a crooked stick, the blacksmith who plays tricks, and a white she-goat that symbolizes fertility. A herd of devils representing the whole hierarchy of hell follows. They are ferocious, noisy, horned figures who chase people or flog with branches the bystanders who line the streets. There is laughter, roaring, yelling, and the constant sound of bells and cracking whips. As the figures proceed, they disappear into the houses where they give theatrical performances. At the end of each performance, the Nachtwachter blows his horn, and the procession reassembles and proceeds to the next stop. At the market square, the strawmen gather in a big circle, cracking their whips to a steady beat, while from a wooden platform, Saint Nicholas delivers a message to the audience and questions the children about their prayers and their behaviour, rewarding them with some gifts from his companions basket. Most of the children also receive presents the next morning, mostly fruits and nuts and pastries that look like Saint Nicholas or animals or devils. On the stage in the square, the beggar calls for the priest, to whom he confesses his sins, putting his vices in as nice a light as possible. The priest then asks the beggar to renounce his sins. Oh no! says the beggar, I don t want to spoil my fun. It s too soon. I have time! But Death, who has been waiting in the background, in a mechanical marionette-like movement, strikes him down with his scythe. The devils, confined to one corner where they have been making mock charges, now break loose with animal-like movements, fall upon the victim, and drag him off the stage to hell. A few more devils appear on the stage with a special message that reinforces the Christian moral. Later, the marketplace becomes a whirlpool of movement as performers and audience mingle and chase each other about. And then, almost unnoticed in all the activity, the creatures of the procession disappear. They remove their costumes and masks and return them to the house of the Strick family, where they will be stored until the next year, when unknown men, selected in secrecy, will again wear them on the eve of Saint Nicholas day CONTEMPORARY SALVATION, EASY AND DECEPTIVE by Ed Somerville Since much of today s Baptist, Pentecostal and Evangelical churches feel that their main mission on earth is to get people saved so they can go to heaven and not burn in an everlasting hell, I think it s time to take a closer look at both the methods and results of their efforts. One term that is used most frequently today is, Accept Jesus as your personal Savior, a term not mentioned in the Word. As much as I can find out about it, is that it was not used before the 20th Century. That would mean that the Christians of earlier years never went through that now popular ritual. This was at a time when they were grounded in the Word of God and knew at an early age from the prophets and the New Testament writers that He was the one promised not only to redeem (buy back) His people but New Video: VACCINES, VIRUSES AND AUTOIM- MUNE DISEASE. There is good evidence that many of the diseases that affect people today are not natural diseases, nor are they accidental. If you ve had suspicions that flues, cancers, heart diseases, and autoimmune disorders are being introduced through the medical/pharmaceutical industry, then you need to watch this video. I don t offer many health field videos because most of them are not well-researched. They were almost all the sons (and daughters) of God from an early age, and they knew it. After Peter preached his sermon in Acts 2, they asked him What shall we do? He told them two things, Repent and be baptized for the remission of sins. Peter as well as the other apostles preached from the Old Testament, as there was no New Testament till much later. They preached fulfilled prophecy and the Israelites were converted rapidly when they could see that the things written thousands of years before, came true in their lifetime in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus the Christ. His free gift of salvation cannot be stressed enough, along with true desire to please Him by following His absolutes. The late Dr. Francis Schaefer said years ago that the absolutes of God had all but disappeared. It has been replaced by pietism, emotionalism, tolerance, diversity and humanism. Many pastors today use stress to motivate them to come to Jesus and keep them from burning in hell. They even use what are called alter calls with music, to accomplish it. Billy Graham used this for many years with dire results. These methods were never used years ago to intimidate people to believe on Him. Salvation is your key to the kingdom and to be joint heirs with Jesus our redeemer. Many of today s pastors preach sermons on Lordship, make Jesus the Lord of your life, with much needed sermons on personal Christian living, but the Christians of yesteryear also believed in the Kingship of Jesus, which is missing in the churches today. The battle cry of the American Revolution was no king but Jesus. In one of our well-known Christmas carols are the words, Born is the king of Israel. How can any Christian believe that this refers to the people they are told are Israel, when they boldly proclaimed in Luke 19:14, We will not have this man to reign over us. They never accepted Him as their king, and never will. It appears that at some future time Israel would not know their heritage or their miraculous history as Isaiah alludes to this very thing in 1:3, The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider. This could not possibly apply to the people called Jews today, as they erroneously, deceitfully and repeatedly claim they know who they are. It is our pastors who have been blinded in part until the fullness of the nations (Gen. 48:19) be come in. (Romans 11:25) For any honest Bible student that has not been programmed into the new religion of Judeo-Christianity, in reading the New Testament would have to admit that the obsession and His number one mission on earth was His Kingdom. His first recorded words uttered to the people were in Matthew 4:14, Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. In his model prayer, the Kingdom was mentioned twice, while there was no mention of salvation or going to heaven. Jesus spent His last forty days on earth with His disciples explaining things pertaining to the Kingdom. He did not tell them what methods to use to get people saved, or how to build large churches. To promote the popular hermeneutics of today, much emphasis is put on John 1:11, He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. This is used to give the impression that His sheep would not follow Him, so He had to go to a non-israelite people. Jesus said in John 10:27, My Ph #343 3

4 sheep know my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. Israel is the only people on earth that were ever called His sheep. Did Jesus, the Alpha and Omega, who knew the end from the beginning, issue a statement he could not fulfill? Maybe they should read the next verse, John 1:12, But as many as received Him, to them have He the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name. The last part of the verse covers a lot of people who have been written off by the self-righteous Evangelicals of today. Yes, His sheep, the Israelites in Judea in spite of being heavily influenced by the Jewish Pharisees like our people are today, did receive Him by the thousands as recorded in the Scriptures. No He did not fail to keep His promise, that His sheep only would hear His voice and follow Him. Our pastors are still blinded in part as written, as they still don t know who the sheep are who followed Him for the last two thousand years. You would think, since Jesus foremost ministry on earth was centered on His kingdom, it would be preached from hundreds of thousands of churches nationwide. But if you were to mention it to the average Christian today you would be met with a confused response, like you were in a cult or a Jehovah s Witness. Their minds have been deceived into thinking they are going to heaven when they die and they have no interest in His Kingdom or what He has planned for us. The enemies within our gates have their own plans to set up their own counterfeit kingdom on earth while the Christians are destroying themselves by helping them do it. They like the idea that the Christians have no interest in the kingdom of God, only a spiritual place off in the sky. The enemies of Jesus have been planning this for over 2,000 years. Years ago a radio preacher giving a study on heaven, and trying to give a description of this place in the sky supposedly mentioned in the Bible, found it hard since there is no description of this intangible place in the entire Word of God. He read the entire fifth chapter of Revelation as an attempt at making it appear as if it pertained to that mystical place they call heaven. In reading it, he went from verse nine to verse eleven, leaving out the tenth verse, which reads, And hast made us kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. That is an intentional deception, and there is nothing in the entire chapter that implies anything he was trying to accomplish. King David, who God said was A man after mine own heart, had this to say regarding those who have just died, On that very day his thoughts perish. I m sure that today s Judeo-Christian professors and pastors would love to set him straight by informing him that he is more alive in heaven now, than the day he died. We were told thousands of years ago, way back in Numbers 6:27, And they shall put My name upon the Children of Israel: and I will bless them. After the house of Israel was taken captive by the Assyrians because of their going after other gods, He said they would not be called His people any more, but Sons of the living God, Hosea 1:10. Who are the people today that have God s name and blessing put on them with the words of Numbers 6, and who today are called the Sons of God? A disciple is one who studies the teaching, believes the teacher and helps spread his teaching. Two hundred years ago Christianity was a way of life, an ethic. They were able to govern themselves with the Bible as the final word. In the last half of the 19th Century Christianity began its rapid change to turn the faith of our fathers into a religion. Many of the things taught by our pastors were never ordained by Jesus. He never mentioned anyone going to heaven when they died, nor is it ever mentioned in the prophets. Why didn t the writers of the New Testament ever mention when one died, He went to be with the Lord, He s in heaven now? There is a verse found in Psalms115:16 that sheds much light on this skewed belief. The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord s: but the earth hath he given to children of men. That would be us. Another verse that has been used deceptively to promote the idea of a place in the sky for us, is John 14:3, I will come again, [to the earth] and receive you [on the earth] unto myself: that where I am [on the earth] there ye may be also [on the earth]. The rapture theory was never mentioned by Jesus or the prophets. There is not enough Biblical evidence to even qualify it as a theory, much like Evolution. Jesus never mentioned anyone burning in hell for eternity; and Paul confirmed it when he said the wages of sin is death; as that was the price paid for it. Today s preachers, instead of elaborating on what Jesus said about His Kingdom, they prefer to preach about things that never crossed His mind. It s no wonder why so many of today s Christians have such a negative attitude and so little regard for His Kingdom. Jesus said, If you love me keep my commandments. There are many today that call themselves New Testament Christians as well as others, who have rejected His Laws and commandments and most of the wisdom contained in the prophets who told our past as well as our future. I think it is time that all these people that have Accepted Jesus as their personal savior, should seriously ask themselves, has Jesus accepted me. You cannot accept Jesus without accepting His Word, the Law and the Prophets; not just the parts that fit your interpretation of eschatology. Because of all the convoluted doctrines they have accepted, along with having rejected most of the law and the prophets, it would seem that they have compromised their salvation by going along with the new Judeo-Christian religion that has all but destroyed us. Had we followed His Laws on usury [and not allowed private bankers to lend our currency into circulation as debt] we would not be in debt 19 trillion dollars. And if we followed His Laws on warfare we would not be mired down in two mid-eastern wars over ten years, with no end in sight. The same is true for His other Laws. Another term that has been made popular is, I m a born again Christian. It s almost unbelievable that they would have the audacity to use the verses in John 3 to imply that they must be born again to go to heaven. If you take the time to read them, you can plainly see that He was talking about the Kingdom of God, a literal place right here on earth. Not a spiritual place in the heavens. The New Testament is full of warnings to the Christians and admonitions to the pastors in this age. We are told that there would be wolves in sheep s clothing [symbol of the 4 #343 Int l Phone

5 Fabian Society], meaning deceivers would be among us. This couldn t happen because we are too smart to be fooled. We are warned about believing Jewish fables. We would never fall for Jewish fables. They would come saying Jesus is the Anointed and deceive many. They would never deceive me. The time would come that if it were possible they would deceive the very elect. That s not possible. The words woe unto the pastors is repeated many times and the strongest admonition against them is, they are all dumb dogs unable to speak. I think all pastors have one thing in common, they all feel these verses refer to other pastors. Jeremiah 50:6. This was written for a time when His lost sheep would no longer be called Israel, but Christians - or Sons of God, as foretold. My people have been lost sheep: Their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place. Everything good that has happened to this country has started in the pulpits, and everything bad that has happened to this country has started in the pulpits. One thing that is conspicuously and intentionally missing today in the Judeo-Christian churches, is that God deals with nations and holds them accountable just as He does with individuals. When He brings His curses upon a nation, as He has said He would, for the disobedience of His Laws, the righteous suffer along with the with the unrighteous, just as they always have, as He is the same yesterday, today and forever. I am aware of the fruits of the great Christian faith in earlier years, and now I see the fruits of the new Judeo-Christian religion that watched this once-great cityon-a-hill turn into that of Ancient Rome. By their fruits ye shall know them. I feel certain, that what God said to the prophets in Isaiah 23:22, would definitely apply to our pastors today. But if they had stood in My counsel, and had caused My people to hear My words, then they should have turned them from their evil ways and the evil of their doings. Since we in Christendom are the only people that fulfill all the identifying marks of Israel (The Marks of Israel, Sheldon Emry, $), and the only people He gave His perfect Law of Liberty to, we are the ones that God holds responsible for the demise of our nation. Oh Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself. Hosea 13:9. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge and my people love to have it so. The Bible Says: Fear not little flock for it is your father s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32. And we shall reign on the earth, and His Kingdom is forever. Revelation 5:10, Isaiah 9:7 and Luke 1:33. Today s Churches Teach: Fear not little flock for it is your father s good pleasure to take you to heaven when you die, then bring you back to earth for your resurrection, then after a period of time, take you back to an intangible heaven in the sky to spend eternity. In popular Christian preaching, writing and radio, the word christ is used more and more in the New Age fashion as a name in the place of Jesus. Often teachers and writers make a direct transposition of Jesus to christ when scripture verses are quoted. The word christ is popularly being used in preaching, books and on radio as a name in a way that is often scripturally invalid. That is partly due to newer socalled translations. Christ in scripture may or may not relate to a person, but it is not a name! In order to bring the Biblical position out it is necessary to be a little technical and say that there are four main forms of the Greek word that is commonly presented as christ. These four forms are christos, christo, christon, and christou, being the nominative, dative, accusative, and genitive cases in Greek. There are also other grammatical forms which modify them. These forms and modifications have not been translated; rather they have just been transliterated, and thus create a problem. To illistrate the misuse, we might say, A tin whistle is made of tin and therefore a fog horn must be made of fog. The false assumption is obvious. If tin and fog were the different forms of the word christ we can then see that we must wrest scripture if we were to use them either as being both nouns or both adjectives. In many of the about 217 out of 555 times where christ is found without a Jesus or a Lord the word is a verbal adjective. When used as a adjective christ is a characteristic of the associated noun [as canned in canned carrots, carrots being the noun]. Also, it is necessary to consider whether the associated verbs are active or passive. To place a capital C in christ in some places is deceptive, mis-translating and the use of the word deceptively changes the meaning of scripture. For example, in Galatians 3:16, commentaries have copied each other for centuries with a false explanation to try to say Paul did not mean what he said. What Paul said really is, Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is anointed - [not Christ ]. (The one here is Isaac, i.e. In Isaac shall thy seed be called - Romans 9:7 and Hebrews 11:18) It is popular to use the verbal adjective Christ as a name or a noun and it is used to replace the words, Lord Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ where these are used in scripture. In the words, His name shall be called Jesus for He shall save His people from their sins we are told what His name is. Jesus Christ means Jesus the anointed or consecrated One. What our translators do not make clear is whether or not there is the definite article the before the word christ. This omission came from the Latin Vulgate. Frequently we hear things like receiving Christ and making a decision for Christ as if christ is a name, something as if it were a surname for Jesus. In this way #343 5

6 there is increasing conforming to the New Age usage and possible association with the New Age christ. It is Jesus who must be received as Saviour. It is at the name of Jesus to whom every knee will have to bow. His name shall be called Jesus for He shall save His people from their sins - [Matt. 1:21]. [a side-note, This shows that these Israelites were His people before they were saved. They did not become His people through being saved! something popular doctrine refuses to admit]. Matthew 1:16 does read,...mary, of who was born Jesus who was called Christ. In these verses we have called which might look in English as being from a common origin, but the first is kaleo which means to name by name, and the second is lego which means to declare. Here Jesus was declared to be the anointed [christ] ONE. So, Christ may be a title, and not a name. Christ as in Jesus Christ is an appellation which distinguishes Jesus from anyone else having the same name - Jesus. Jesus as The Christ is definitive. There are places in the epistles where christ does not apply to the person of Jesus, and as soon as we make a misapplication, we have another Jesus and another doctrine. If we make Jesus Christ and Christ Jesus mean the same, then we have to watch that we do not have another Jesus and to teach another gospel - [2 Cor. 11:4, Gal. 1:16] - with its Let him be accursed who does this. The word christ does not necessarily have any connection with salvation or regeneration in the popular acceptance. It has reference to anointing or consecration of something which may or may not be an individual. The meaning is, to appoint, consecrate, or to separate by anointing. Jesus was consecrated by holy spirit (power) at His baptism - [John 1:32-34] and this is confirmed in Luke 4:18, which quotes Isa. 6:11, and Acts 10:38]. When Paul speaks of another Jesus this must be considered. They are the wrong ones and the individual use of the word christ does not give identification. King Saul was the Lord s anointed. God does grant powers and authority to personages or governments for His purposes. This does not mean to say that God approves of them or that they are godly, but they may be the powers that be ordained of God - [Romans 13:1-6]. Comparing the Old Testament with the New The Old Testament Hebrew equivalent of christ is massiach, out of 39 times it occurs it is used of the Lord Jesus only in two chapters of the entire Bible where it translated as Messiah. The way Messiah is popularly used gives the impression that it is found in many places through the Bible. When used as an adjective, the adjective describes what in particular is anointed. The anointing with oil was used in connection with consecrating things and people to God. It was required for all kings and priests and was a requirement of office. NOW He that establishes us with you is Christ AND HATH ANOINTED US is God - [2 Cor. 1:21]. (The one establishing us together with you into anointing and having anointed us is God). 3. Know ye not that ye ARE the temple of God, and the Spirit of God DWELLS in you - [1 Cor. 3:16]. 4. Whereby ye sealed ARE sealed unto the day of redemption - [Eph. 4:30]. This is why Paul could tell us that, The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we ARE the children of God - [Rom 8:16]. The word here for children is teknon and not huios so the we relates to people who are born that way at natural conception. These children have not yet been adopted or placed in the position as sons. Some Examples of the Wrong Use of the Word Christ. One: In 1 Corinthians 14:4 we find the words, They drank of that spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ. [i.e.anointed]. Our translators have put capital letters in Rock and Christ to create a belief. But rock is in the feminine form. Jesus and Peter were not feminine and neither is the rock upon which Jesus builds His ecclesia! Jesus is the Cornerstone and the foundation is the Prophets and the Apostles. For more than one reason christ cannot possibly mean Jesus here in the New Testament. Two: We read in Hebrews 11:26 that Moses esteemed the reproaches of Christ [i.e. anointing] greater riches than the treasures of Egypt. Christ here in the New Testament could not mean Jesus as Jesus had not been born at the time Moses lived! We cannot say that Moses must have received Jesus [in the popular usage] into his heart. Three: When Jesus said, Many shall come from the East and the West and shall sit down with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of Heaven - [Matthew 8:11], then we make Jesus to be wrong if in Christ means those who believe in Jesus. Yet the churches insist that in Christ means those who believe in Jesus and that if we are not in Christ then we cannot be raised from the dead. In what way could Abraham, Isaac and Jacob be in Jesus since they lived long before Jesus was born? Look at this and see that in christ has a different meaning. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were in the anointing. Isaac and Jacob were partakers of the Spirit anointing [christ] which had been renewed in Abraham and Sarah. Were Isaac and Jacob born again or born from above? Jesus said, Ye must be born again = anothen = from above/origin. 7 time, not Jesus! We need to know these things just like Nicodemus needed to know them! What we need to know is that the time of being born [gennao] from above, of water and spirit, is at the time of natural birth. These are the ones who have the capacity to hear and see the Kingdom of God, and have opportunity to respond. The popular churches completely ignore the tense of this passage to maintain a false doctrine. Four: Using the A.V. we find a frequent use of Christ in 1 Corinthians 15: In vs 18 if we make Christ mean Jesus, then we might say, Those having fallen asleep in Jesus are perished. This then immediately contradicts vs 12 which would then say that when Jesus was raised from among the dead, all the others remained behind. This in turn would mean that dead people cannot be in Jesus at any time or in any manner! Five: We find the word Christ un-translated in a number of places in the New Testament when quoting the Old Testament. For example, in Psalm 2:2 we find the nations taking counsel against the Lord and His anointed people [plural]. In the N.T. His anointed is transliterated as His Christ - [Acts 4:26]. Here the plural people [in Hebrew] are twisted to appear to mean Jesus in a singular sense. But the people being opposed were the Israelite apostles and the Israelite disciples. There is an and in both verses. Psalm 2 terminates with the final triumph of both Jesus and those of His people (only) who put their trust in Him. Six: Look at these two verses: Acts 4:26-27 The kings of the earth and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against his Christ, for of a truth, against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations, and the people of Israel were gathered together. Now we have different parties, the Lord, and his christ, and thy holy child Jesus. This is a quote from Psalm 2:2 where it says his anointed instead of his christ. Note: the people [laos] of Israel here are not teknon or huios of Israel, that is they included the mixed multitude among Israel. When we translate the form of christos properly when it is an adjective, [it means a consecrated, or anointed something or people], all these scriptures make immediate sense and they become consistent. As soon as consecrated people [christ] are somehow transferred to the person of Jesus, then the meaning is lost. Worse than that, it is changed to error. Christos Without Iesou. ( Christ without Jesus ) Where we find Christ without Lord or Jesus it helps to look at the translation being aware of the problem and each time seeing if Christ means: [a] The consecrated or anointed One, or [b] The consecrated or anointed People, or [c] A consecrated or anointed something or other party or group, - in each context. This does matter! Sometimes is used on its own, and at times it is combined with Jesus and Lord. To say that the words are always interchangeable is a presumption and an untruth. A reading of Bible translations does not make clear the differences between: 1. Christ. 2. Christ Jesus. 3. Jesus Christ. 4. The Lord Jesus Christ. 5. Christ s. The original Bible translators/authors had reasons for making such separations! We have to admit there must be a reason why the Apostle Paul chose to leave Iesou [=Jesus] out with some passages whereas he chose to put it in with others, and why he used all the above variations which have quite different meanings. Critical Doctrines It has been pointed out that the word christ is sometimes an adjective, and being so there is no justification for taking this as a noun in these contexts or where the grammar does not permit it. This in turn has great doctrinal bearing. This may be why the word christ is not translated even in recent translations. The consequences are too difficult for traditional doctrine! In Galatians 3:14-29 we find Jesus Christ, Christ Jesus, Christ, and Christ s. Why these variations? R.N. Phillips of Australia translates part of Galatians 3 separating these words - [quote]: Verse 26 And if ye belong to an anointed [people] then are ye Abraham s seed, heirs according to the promise. Now before anybody rises up in wrath and indignation, let me agree at once that Iesou is the same for the Dative form as for the Genitive form, so en xristo Iesou has two possible translations: 1. In an anointed [one] Jesus... [which simply means Jesus Christ ]. 2. In an anointed [people] of [belonging to] Jesus. [unquote]. Then Mr. Phillips asks what excuse there might be for not translating the word Xristo/s/ou, pointing out that a transliterated word means nothing in another language. He also points out that checking this with a concordance will only repeat the errors of the translators, and I might add, many commentators. (CIM: This is also something that is true of baptism. Looking it up in a concordance will only repeat the error of the translators. This Hebrew concept can be best studied through use of the Septuagint, which uses the Greek language to express Hebrew thought). If we want to keep on choosing a translation which is not in context, or omit translating words to prove a point then we must be making a mistake. This is trying to make the verse fit the theory! One of the reasons as to why the latter translation is not acceptable was given to the author by a Greek expert as being, because the Gentiles are not Israelites. But, the so-called Gentiles that the Apostle Paul addressed in scripture WERE Israelites of the dispersion - [e.g. 1 Cor. 10:1-5 where these brethren of the same kin had fathers who were all baptized unto Moses and went through the Red Sea]. Those so-called Gentiles could be nothing but Israelites. Thus the latter translation must be right in this context. It is understandable why the first translation is accepted almost universally. Firstly, it is because of the misuse of the un-translated word Gentile. (a word only found in English translations). Note well that the word #343 7

8 translated as Gentiles from both (Masoretic) Hebrew and Greek is also used of Israelites. Secondly, because the word christ has been transliterated or made always to mean Jesus Christ by translators from early times. These are the problem. Other problems follow on from this. A look at the original covenant will help to confirm what the New Testament is fulfilling. Who Are The Seed To Whom The Original Covenant Was Made? Addressing Abraham, God says in Genesis 17:7,...and I will establish my covenant between me and thee, and thy seed after thee in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be a god unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. Here we have to note some important things. If Jesus is the one seed, then ALL GENERATIONS between Abraham and Jesus have been dis-inherited from the covenant! If we like to say that this promise was made only to Abraham and to Christ, then it could not have been also confirmed to Isaac and to Jacob; thus it must include those living between Abraham and Jesus. Romans 15:8, For I say that Christ became a minister of the circumcision concerning God s truth, in order to confirm the promises made to the fathers. The fathers (of Israel) cannot be multicultural! Scripture says the promise was made with the Fathers and not to Christ [as a person]. We are told that Jesus came to confirm the promises made to Himself, are we?? So we can immediately see a connection between christ [with a small c ] and The Fathers. The connection is NOT with Christ -[in the way it is commonly taken to mean Jesus]. Nowhere do we find any promise in the Old Testament making the covenant with Jesus as the Christ. So, the fulfillment must be taken the way the Scripture gives. It is fulfilled in the seed of the Fathers. Looking again at Galatians 3:16, Now unto Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds as of many, but as of one, and to thy seed which is christ. We can see by this statement that there is a limitation of the promise to just two parties, Abraham and his christ seed. His anointed Isaac and Jacob seed. If christ meant Jesus, it would mean that God was limiting the promise to Abraham and Jesus only. The Nestle/Aland/UBS/Westcott and Hort Greek texts provide the basis of translations such as the NIV, NASB, Living Bible, NAB, NKJV, RSV, GNB, Phillips, NW, NJ, and NC. Westcott and Hort are said to have been spiritualists and various editors of many versions since the KJV were and are among those who would deny the it is finished of Jesus. There are demonstrable lies in their introductions and notes about manuscripts. There are lexicons by fellow-travellers who are anything but godly. Thayer, for instance was a Unitarian. Kittle was Hitler s mate. The so-called New Greek Texts have provided a blue-print for the antichrist s one-world-religion. This is a goal of the New Age movement where the christ of the Bible [majority texts] are made to conform to the multicultural christ of the New Age. The NIV, for instance, omits christ in places, e.g. Acts 16:31, Acts 20:21, 1 Cor. 5:4, 1 Cor. 16:13, 2 Thess. 1:8, etc. The Lord Jesus is omitted in 2 Timothy 4:22, or the Lord Jesus Christ is omitted in Ephesians 3:14, etc. The Lord is omitted in 2 Timothy 4:1, Titus 8 #343 Phone + 61 (0) :4 etc. There is no improvement in later translations and modern language versions, the trend being towards more and more New Age semantics. This in turn enables more and more people to be led astray into believing the Christ of the Bible is the same as the christ of the New Age. Now New-Agers can say, See there it is in the Bible, that is, the New Age doctrine is also found in the corrupted modern versions and paraphrases. We have different words translated as earth and the ground, countries and the land, as also occurs with the words translated nations, families and kindreds. Although an extensive technical (Masoretic) Hebrew language exposition is beyond the scope of this article, there are things that need to be pointed out. Originally Abraham was told to go from his father s house to an eretz that God would show him. If eretz here is the whole earth, then Abraham must have gone to another planet! Abraham was told all the Earth which thou seeth, I will give thee. He was told to arise and walk through the earth. Did he walk across the whole globe? So we have to ask if this earth is the whole earth, or the promised land. It is not all the eretz s of all the races on earth. Abraham was told to get himself out of his present earth and to go to THE earth. There are many references which give confirmation of the meaning. THE earth does not mean the whole globe, but rather that portion belonging to the particular area or person under consideration. Contrary to popular presentation, we must note that in Genesis 12:3, the them in I will bless them is plural, whereas the him in I will curse him is singular. The Hebrew allows for two possible translations of be blessed, namely: may be blessed in, or by, association with thee, and may bless themselves [as the RV footnote says. Some awkward questions could be posed here if it was to be taken that all nations had the meaning of every race on earth; 1. If those who curse Abraham are cursed, how could those so cursed be part of all nations which were to be blessed? 2. Were the Egyptians blessed or cursed through Israel s presence during their captivity and also in the Exodus? 3. When the Children of Israel went into the Promised Land, they were told to exterminate all the Canaanite nations. Was that not an unusual way of blessing the Canaanites? After all, they were supposed to be part of all nations. Likewise Amalek was to be exterminated. 4. In Deut. 23:6, God commanded Israel that they should not seek the peace or the prosperity of the Ammonites and the Moabites right up to the end of the age. Ezra 9:12 indicates similar treatment of the non-israelites in

9 the land. This is hardly a blessing on those nations, is it? 5. When the House of Israel was in captivity in Assyria, did this make the Assyrians blossom? 6. When the House of Judah was in captivity in Babylon, is there any evidence of Israel being a blessing to Babylon? 7. In prophecy why are all the forecasts concerning non- Israel nations always detailing them as being servants to Israel and for them to perish if they refuse this destiny? This is so right up to the end of the age. 8. The promise to Abraham was to ALL nations without any exceptions. ALL cannot include those who are cursed and those God says that He hates. Hence all means all the nations of Israel. Throughout Scripture, Israel was to dwell alone and shall not be reckoned among the nations [Numbers 23:9]. Prophecy sustains this to the end. Daniel 7:27, And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve him. Isaiah 60:12, For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted. Zechariah 14:16,17, And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came up against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. Israel and Judah were scattered among all nations, but are these other nations to be blessed? Jeremiah does not agree. Jer. 30:11,...though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee... - Jeremiah repeats this in Jer. 46:28, addressing this to Jacob. In all these Scriptures we can see the unique place of Israel among the other nations. This continues after Jesus returns and Israel reigns with God over the other nations. Finally there will be no more death. What a blessing! So why on earth should I do anything to encourage further catastrophic demographic growth in that country? Where is the logic? There is none. To prove my point please permit me a couple of hypotheticals for you to consider. What would have been the reaction from the homosexual community if a heterosexual mayor anywhere in America had requested homosexual leaders submit their writings and speeches for inspection by the city s government? What would have been the reaction of the Islamic community if a Christian mayor had requested copies of the speeches and communications of the Imams in the various mosques in the city? Why would no mayor in America even consider such a blatant attack upon either of these two groups? The answer is easy and obvious. It is a four-letter word.... FEAR. All of our institutions fear both the Muslims and the homosexuals (even as small minorities). The officials know that if either group would launch such a venomous attack that no elected official would survive. The hypothetical mayor in this hypothetical situation would long ago have been forced to resign. Will the Christians gathering in Houston this Sunday demand the resignation of the lesbian mayor? Why not? Why are our institutions no longer afraid of the Christians? Population statistics reveal that Muslims make up less than 1% of the American population [that s still too many!] Government statistics recently showed that the homosexual population makes up 1.6% of the American population. Let those numbers sink in. Why do both groups make Christians cower and run for cover? Government doesn t fear Christianity because American Christians no longer fear God. Christians have tamed God. They have domesticated Him. The Lion no longer roars... he meows. Jesus has become as compliant as the family s pet. The Name of Jesus should be synonymous with power. His presence should send shock waves throughout the nation. It is like the electrical outlet sticking out of the wall of my office. To the untrained eye it looks like nothing more than a wall ornament. But inside that three-pronged socket dwells invisible power. I can t explain exactly how it works but I know enough about it that I don t dare poke a metal stick into the socket. Something powerful lives inside that box İ love the electricity but I have a healthy fear of it. My respect for that power keeps me from treating it carelessly. I have never seen anyone actually be electrocuted by it, but I do know that it has that capability. The dictionary calls that dunamis power. Dunamis power is potential energy. Properly applied it can power an entire city. Be careful with electricity. a Mr. Fix It friend of mine once told me. Electricity can be a great friend but if you are not careful it can really bite. I have learned to show it much respect. Bite... I thought to myself. Power... electricity... bite... dunamis. Be respectful to the hand that feeds you, I remember my father telling me. 11 thoughts turned to God... He is a lot like electricity, you know. He has great power and is often a very good friend. But like electricity, He has the ability to bite. God is loving, caring, and full of Power. Omnipotent. He created electricity... and everything else. But God, like casually handled electricity, can also kill. Why do we have such great respect for electrical power and so little respect for the power of God? What has caused us to be so comfortable with the holy ghost power socket? We have lost the fear of Him. We think he doesn t bite. We think that He has been defanged. We think that the Lion of the Tribe of Judah has lost His teeth. Like a domesticated Tom-cat we think He has been neutered. We love His power. We love the way He feels when we bask in His warmth during praise and worship at church. We love to feel the power of God rush throughout our body. We love to have Him touch us... much like a body massage... it makes us tingle. But we don t want Him to pinch. We don t want Him to bite. We want Him to soothe our aches like a cozy hot-tub. We have Tamed the Tiger of the holy spirit and put Him on a leash. We no longer fear the power of God. Because we so rarely see it, we think He has blown a fuse. The church is treating the Lion as if he was a pussy cat. Christians are being taught that all Jesus wants to do is sit on your couch with you and purr. He loves everything and everybody. He has no enemies. He has no claws. He has no teeth. The Lion, indeed, has been tamed. All types of power are dangerous. Electrical, hydro, chemical, mechanical, and wind are friendly once they are harnessed. Natural power that is controlled makes life easier for us. But God s power is super-natural. It is controlled only because He controls it. Super-natural power supersedes natural powers. If natural powers can be deadly, how much more deadly can super-natural powers be? Unlike electricity, God cannot be harnessed. God cannot be controlled. God cannot be tamed. God is a spirit. His power is invisible and all power is His in heaven and in earth. There is not a lion tamer in the world that can tame God. He doesn t fit in a box. He won t jump through hoops. He won t sit down and beg. The God of the Old Testament didn t die and He didn t change His stripes. Today s church acts like Jehovah was born again in the New Testament. Read the Bible. God does not sleep. God does not wink at sin. God does not give in to the edicts of man... He can not be separated. God, like electricity, can be calamitous. God is a Lion. He roars. He bites. But, let me share just 3 of those reasons with you. They are: 1. It is pagan with a spirit of antichrist. 2. It is direct disobedience to Jesus the Christ our King. 3. It prevents God from healing our Nation. Books have been written which prove to the most casual reader the heathen roots of this day and season we call Christmas. That Christmas was originally a Pagan festival is beyond all doubt... Upright men strove to stem the tide, but in spite of all their efforts, the apostasy went on, till the Church, with the exception of a small remnant, was submerged under Pagan superstition. 1 There were three major pagan feasts around December 25th which are the roots of our present-day Christmas. First was the feast of SATURNALIA, or feast of Satan. The Concise Oxford Dictionary says Saturnalia was observed in December as a time of unrestrained merry-making extending even to slaves. Work stopped; schools closed; war was never declared; and gifts were given. Same as today. Saturnalia was hardly over when the new year s festival of KALENDS began. In the middle of this period of general gaiety, there was a day set aside for special reverence to the Sun whose apparent rebirth on the Winter Solstice had originally provided the excuse for all these widespread pagan jollifications. This day was known as Dies Solis Invict, Nati; the Day of the Birth of the Unconquered Sun, and it fell on what corresponds to 25 December in our calendar. 2 And finally we have YULE. The very name by which Christmas is popularly known among ourselves -- Yule-day --proves at once its Pagan and Babylonian origin. Yule is the Chaldee name for an infant or little child; and as the 25th of December was called by the Pagans, Yule-day, or Childs day and the night that preceded it, Mother s night, long before they came in contact with Christianity... 3 It included great slaughtering of cattle and riotous parties much like today. Now you can understand why so many non-christians celebrate Christmas and New Years with drinking and carousing in the days leading up to them. The pagan spirit has not changed It is not the spirit of Jesus but the spirit of antichrist a spirit of drunkenness and riotous parties and ungodly behaviour. Antichrists and ungodly nations of our day take time to celebrate Christmas (or Winter Solstice as it is called in some nations), this alone should be reason enough to avoid it. So with this information alone, why would any Christian continue to celebrate this heathen holiday? Possibly because of the emotional attachments and memories one has developed from childhood? Or perhaps its the fear of further alienation over so many other issues. Yet, our Saviour told us that if we are not willing to be separate even from our own family when necessary, we are not worthy of His kingdom. In Matthew 10:37 He said: He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. #343 11

12 A true Christian is a disciple, and a disciple is one who is under discipline. Our discipline should be the Word of God. Our King told us to observe only those things that He commanded us to observe. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you... (Matt. 28:20a). Tell me, where is His command to observe His (supposed) birthday? You will search the Scriptures in vain but will find none. We are told to commemorate His death and remember His sacrifice for us, not His birth. Paul emphasized in 1 Corinthians 11:2, to...keep the ordinances as I delivered them to you. We should remember Him as our King and Saviour. He is no longer a baby in a manger but the King of Israel: King of kings and Lord of lords. It is the world that desires to keep him as a helpless baby. Perhaps some well-meaning parents may say: But we only keep Christmas because it is so much fun for the children, we re not REALLY worshipping Santa Claus and the tree, or those heathen gods! Let me pose some final questions for you to consider in your heart: 1. Have you considered that children understand things DIFFERENTLY than you might think they do? 2. Have you considered that your acting out the rituals of pagan Baal will teach them to do so also? And thus begin another generation of the same rituals? 3. Have you considered that the emotions generated by Christmas rituals may well affect the ENTIRE LIFE of the children God has given you to teach and protect? 4 Why talk about conspiracies and the Beast of Babylon if we can t stop our involvement in the biggest Babylonian holiday of the year. Even Jewish merchants love the Christmas season in spite of their hatred for Jesus our King. The farther you look the more you can see a fleshly, carnal, selfish motive (spirit) behind this observance. And, have you considered that it is lying to your children to tell them that Christmas is Jesus birthday when it isn t! We don t know when Jesus was born. About the only thing we do know is that it was not in December! Paul warns us about another Jesus, another gospel and another spirit (2 Cor. 11:4). The Jesus of Christmas is the Judeochrist (the false Jewish Jesus). The Christmas story comes from the gospel of world brotherhood and (selfishness) and the spirit is the spirit of antichrist. Don t tell me that you believe that our King will heal our land and bless us individually if we don t first purge ourselves of such heathenism. John ended his first epistle, Little children, keep yourselves from idols (false worship). Every Christian prays for our land to be healed and turned back to the God of the Bible. When we are confronted with our own personal behaviour as it may affect this healing and turning back, we have no choice but to stop our idolatries. Our forefathers...were people with a mission; singleminded, they worried lest devilish influences cause them to stray from the accomplishment of their purpose on earth, which was to work and prosper and thereby glorify God. 5 The Puritan colony of Massachusetts passed a law that anyone found observing any such day as Christmas or the like, either by forbearing labor, feasting or in any other way, shall be fined five shillings. Many early Americans who refused to work on Christmas either went to jail or paid heavy fines. [work on Christmas day! Now they re living separately and may even divorce. No one thought this could happen least of all, them. It s sad to see any marriage run into trouble and break up. But it s a particularly sad phenomenon that an increasing number of married young adults who have been born and raised with the teachings of the Bible have begun having serious marital problems. Anecdotally, I know of a few who have even divorced. You probably know of some yourself. What s going on in such situations? When two lives commit to become one in marriage there will be big adjustments. But are those in today s Millennial generation those in their teens and 20s dealing with a particular mind-set and set of expectations harmful to lasting marriages? 13 Our modern Western culture teaches us that to have a good life, we must reach for the stars, pursue our dreams and be all that we can be. It says that for us to be happy at the end of our lives, we have to be able to look back and see that we ve tried everything that seems good and pursued every dream and opportunity to its fullest. In other words, the ultimate goal of life is the self-fulfillment of our own desires, wants and dreams to have checked off everything on our bucket list. My generation those now in their 20s and getting married has been bred with the lie that self-fulfillment is the ultimate and highest attainable goal in life, and therefore by extension that love the kind you fall into exists to give us what we need and want. Therefore a good marriage is one where both parties get what they need. We may not even realize what has happened to our thinking and values. We ve been taught to think in a selfcentered way as we pursue the ideals of the well-lived life. We rationalize that of course God wants me to be happy, while we kick the can of responsibility down the road just a little longer. This belief in self-fulfillment pervades our generation so deeply that it s almost as if it were in our blood. But in that version of attaining happiness, marriage is downgraded to only a part of the fulfilled life another contributing factor to one s own personal fulfillment. Extended Adolescence Concurrent with the rise and acceptance of this pursuit of selffulfillment is the increasing delay of maturity the extended period of adolescence. Today many people delay marrying until their 30s, using their 20s as the decade to check off as many things as possible on the list before reality sets in and responsibility drags them down. The attitude could be summed up as, Getting married at 22 seems an awful lot like leaving the party at 9:00pm. The party is the pursuit of both self-fulfillment and romantic/sexual experience. Taken together, the quest for self-fulfillment and the extended adolescence intertwine into an idea that one should experience as much as he can while he s single, so that he can get a sense of what he values and who he is and therefore have a better chance at finding the one. The one is the person who will make him happy and whom, theoretically, he will make happy. They will be highly compatible. Their chemistry will be undeniable. Their love will come easily and naturally so easily that all that will be required is for them to fall into it. Finding the one or not Regrettably, the one is a lie handed down by Plato and Greek mythology that makes individual choice only a bystander in the drama of dating in order to find the one with whom it all just clicks. In that drama, however, there is real danger that the moment trouble arises (their love doesn t come so easily or their points of view don t align perfectly or their respective bucket lists change or their personalities change or whatever it may be), both parties can t help but wonder, If this is so hard, maybe I married someone other than the one for me. True love isn t focused on self But true love is not the pursuit of fulfilling one s own needs, wants and desires. True love is a sacrificing of one s own life for another. It is putting one s own wants, needs and desires in second place (or third, or fourth, or farther down the line). Marriage is a commitment each of us makes to our Creator and our spouse. Marriage partners are to be heirs together of the grace of life (1 Peter 3:7). In other words, we are to work together to help each other attain our ultimate goal of God s Kingdom (Matthew 6:33).If both don t share that commitment - don t even get started on dating. We are to encourage and help each other to succeed in this life s endeavours, but with that to grow in grace and knowledge so that we can stand before Jesus the Christ at His return (Luke 21:36). To do this we set aside self-fulfillment in favor of what the other needs. It involves making one s life the definition of service in living for the other. It entails setting aside childish shortcomings, avoidance of responsibility and foolish distractions and striving to emulate the perfect love and example of Jesus the Christ. To be clear, by no means do I recommend that we shouldn t experience life to its fullest, that we shouldn t pursue our dreams or that we shouldn t seek self-fulfillment. Nor do I mean that we shouldn t find out what type of person will make a happy, fulfilling marriage the most likely for both parties (i.e. be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers is a good starting point. 2 Cor. 6:14). Or that we shouldn t have a list of goals to pursue and live to our fullest potential with the talents God has given us. I don t mean to imply any of that. None of the things mentioned are bad or good in and by themselves. Knowing firmly who you are and finding a compatible person with whom you share your life makes the Christian walk much more enjoyable and fulfilling. Finding a truly fulfilling life To live a truly fulfilled life is to look back at the end of it and see that more of your time was spent serving God than not that you sacrificed your needs and desires and dreams in deference to His will and the needs of His children (Abraham s seed), and your children, having made your life the definition of service. We do not exist to check off the bucket list and to look back and think, Wow, what a self-fulfilled life I ve had! It is not our destiny to live a personally satisfying life and then die. Nor is it to marry the person who makes us happy until he or she doesn t anymore and then try to find somebody else who does. No, we exist to become like Jesus the Christ s loving character. We exist to learn what true love is an outgoing, service-minded devotion and care and to exercise that love to ward all of God s children (Abraham s seed). In marriage, it is to put personal needs, desires and dreams in #343 13

14 third place behind those of God and one s spouse. It means making the hard decision not to do what feels good, but to instead do what s right. We exist to look back and say, Wow, I would ve never dreamed of how much God used me to fulfill His purpose! May this focus guide you in marriage and in all of life! Love Is Something That We DO Several years ago country singer and songwriter Clint Black recorded an insightful song that he titled: Something That We Do. The lyrics apparently stem from his own experience of staying married to his wife for more than 30 years now. Love isn t something we find. Love isn t something what we have. Love s not just something that we re in. Love isn t someplace that we fall. All of these phrases are followed by the real truth: Love is something that we do. In other words, real love is a choice a choice to act in a certain way. Real love is much more than just a feeling. Real love requires effort, time and personal commitment. EUROPEAN FAR RIGHT REEMERGES During the last few years, threats to the survival of the euro have proved a principal factor in stirring up right-wing in opposition to European Union policies. Fairly recently Marine Le Pen s Front National Party made substantial gains in a local election in the South of France. Also a Flemish far-right party has recently emerged in Belgium with an anti-immigrant program opposed to EU freedom-of-movement laws. Its leader seeks independence for Flanders with its six million Dutch speakers. Geert Wilders of the Netherlands Freedom Party seeks to form an anti-european [more correctly anti-brussels] alliance with Le Pen s French right. Nigel Farage, the leader of the UK Independence Party is now a credible force in London s politics, hoping his party will win big in the European Parliament elections in The right is also stirring in Germany. Greek right-wing hostility to Brussels has markedly increased in the wake of Athens economic meltdown during the last few years. The title of a Financial Times article by Gideon Rachman urges readers to Watch Out for the Rise of a European Tea Party (Oct. 21, 2013). In contrast, a Reuters article by Paul Taylor carried this title in The International New York Times: Center-left is Now Adrift in Europe (Oct. 15, 2013). Whether all this right-wing political activity will lead to extremism remains to be seen. Clearly the European right definitely bears watching. n Courtesy The Good News - address above. How often do you hear media talk of Far Left, or Extreme Left, or Left-wing Extremists. It seems that we can have Centre-Left, but I have never heard of Centre- Right. The establishment promotes the idea of the inevitability of Communism through its perversion of the terms used in describing the political spectrum (see chart 1). We are told that on the Far Left of the political spectrum we find Communism, which is admittedly dictatorial. But, we are also told that equally to be feared is the opposite of the far Left, i.e. the far Right, which is labelled Fascism. We are constantly told that we should all try to stay in the middle of the road, which is termed democracy, but by which the Establishment means Fabian (or creeping) socialism. (The fact that the middle of the road has been moving inexorably leftward for eighty years is ignored). Here is an excellent example of the use of false alternatives. We are given a choice between Communism (international socialism) on one end of the spectrum, Naziism (national socialism) on the other end, or Fabian socialism in the middle. The whole spectrum is socialist! This is absurd. Where would you put an anarchist on this spectrum? Where do you put a person who believes in a Constitutional Republic and the free enterprise system? He is not represented here, yet this spectrum is used for political definitions by a probable ninety percent of the people of the nation. Chart 1 depicts a false Left-Right political spectrum used by Liberals which has Communism on the far Left and its twin, Fascism on the Right with the middle of the road being Fabian Socialism. The entire spectrum is Socialist! Chart 2 is a more rational political spectrum with total government in any form on the far Left and no government or anarchy on the far Right. The US was a Republic with a limited government, but for the past 100 years we have been moving leftward across the spectrum towards total government, with each new piece of socialist legislation. There is an accurate political spectrum (see chart 2). Communism is, by definition, total government. If you have total government it makes little difference whether you call it Communism, Fascism, Socialism, Caesarianism, or Paraohism. It s all pretty much the same from the standpoint of the people who must live and suffer under it. If total government (by any of its pseudonyms) stands on the far Left, then by logic the far Right should represent anarchy, or NO government.
