We come before You today as those who need your help with faithfulness. We long to hear the words, Well done good and faithful servant, yet our service to You has fallen short. We have often despised or overlooked small yet great opportunities to bless others. O give us the strength of your Holy Spirit that we might set our hearts more squarely on the goal of unwavering commitment to your Lordship in all of life. 7 Max Collins, Marsha Osburn s dad, is doing well with cancer treatments. His next scan is June 26 th. Brittney Harrison, Rob Osburn s cousin in Washington State has cancer. Ronnie Weaver, recovering from a stroke, little movement on his left side. Joyce Weaver, health issues. Don Hamilton, Cookie s husband, is on dialysis. Charlene Booth s great grandson, Matthew, is suffering seizures. Iris Efird, continued strength and increased mobility with right arm and leg. Maynard Waller, Lacy Williams brother with throat cancer; Dot Williams, declining in health. Liam Debord, Hunters grandson, fighting brain tumors. Prayer request? Please write it down on the blue pew prayer card, & place in the offering plate. News & Events Darryl is away on study leave today, working on his final project for his Doctor of Ministry. He will return to the pulpit next Sunday. We welcome Heath Burchett as our guest speaker today. We would like to welcome Amy Hamilton as our new Director of Children s Ministries! If you have any questions regarding children up through 6 th grade, please ask Amy. Questions regarding youth (7 th through 12 th grade), ask Darryl. Due to the heat, Children s Church will meet in the SHINE Classroom across the hall from the choir room for the summer. Nursery for both Sunday School and Worship will be in the New Connections Room on the 2 nd floor of the education building. Summer Stories continues this week for youth and adults (7 th grade and above) during the Sunday School hour (10:00-10:45). The women meet in the Drummond room, and the men meet in the Session room. Adult classes that meet during the year will continue to bring breakfast items to the fellowship hour (9:30-9:50). SHINE continues this week for children four years old to 6 th grade in the classroom across from the choir room. There will be a new member s class next Sunday, July 12 th at 4:00 p.m. at the Evans (2203 Glenwood Street). Please talk to Darryl ( ) or Mary Lee if you would like to join us.
