2 Sunday School Classes - Sunday school starts at 9:15 AM. Each Sunday we have Sunday School classes for our youth and adults. Any younger children attending during the Sunday School hour can see Donna Freed for classroom information. Time: TBD Saturday Men s Group: Meet at Franconia 6 AM STAFF UPDATE Our secretary, Elaine Derstine, is planning to retire early this summer. We are looking for someone to take her place as secretary. Must be personable. Computer skills are required. Knowledge of Microsoft programs Word, Publisher, Excel are beneficial. This is a part-time position of approximately 25 hours per week. Invite friends! ENCOURAGING THE BODY Invite friends and family who need encouragement. The Feria family will be worshipping with us on August 5. Al, Nicole and their family will be sharing during the adult Sunday school hour about how as a family they have faced change and adversity through various transitions and are able to talk about it to encourage others. Al Feria will be sharing the sermon during our worship service. COMPASSION FUND In recent months, Covenant has helped a number of persons with financial need through our Elders Compassion Fund. It is a blessing to be able to assist persons in this way; however the Elders Fund is now at a level of needing to be replenished in preparation of assisting in other future needs. If you are able to assist us with a restricted donation for the Compassion Fund, please designate "Compassion Fund" with your restricted contribution amount noted on your offering envelope. Thank you!

4 SERMON SERIES We began a new sermon series June 3rd. The series is The Storyteller. The following is the parable we will look at each Sunday. June 3rd: Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:1-23) June 10th: Parables of the Treasure and Pearl (Matthew 13:44-46) June 17th: Parable of the Persistent Widow (Luke 18:1-17) June 24th: Parable of the Great Banquet (Luke 14:16-24) July 1st: Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30) July 8th: Parable of the Laborers (Matthew 20:1-16) July 15th: Parable of the Tenants (Matthew 21:33-46) July 22nd: Parable of the Sheep and Goats (Matthew 25:31-46) Sunday School Sermon Discussions beginning July 1st. For the month of July the adult Sunday School class will be discussing the sermon from the previous week. We encourage you to read the Scripture text before class. The evening will also consist of some music and the sharing of a life story with Tyler Hunsberger interviewing Sharon Hunsberger. You won t want to miss his story. As a infant Sharon was thrown out by his mother, with the garbage in the cow pasture to be stomped on - only to be rescued by his brother. Eventually he was adopted and met his wife Gladys. Hear his story of struggle, toil, tragedy and inspiration. At the close of the evening everyone will be invited to make their own Ice Cream Sundae to enjoy while mingling. This will be a very informal evening, and one we encourage you to invite friends who are not interested in attending church.
