2 Now the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. Then the other disciple [John}, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. Then the disciples went away again to their own homes. John 20:1-10 The Shroud of Turin has endured every examination known to modern science including visible and ultraviolet spectrometry, infrared spectrometry, x-ray fluorescence spectrometry, thermography, pyrolysis-mass-spectrometry, laser microprobe Raman analyses, and micro chemical testing. Its bloodstains, from wounds uniquely consistent with those suffered by Jesus of Nazareth, are composed of hemoglobin and test positive for serum albumin. To date, no testing of any kind has proven that The Shroud of Turin is not the authentic burial cloth that wrapped Jesus Christ in His tomb. Yet, despite the overwhelming evidence of its authenticity, the Shroud of Turin remains the most controversial and emotional ambiguity in the history of the world.
