8 (Chancel Window) Transfiguration of Jesus Matthew 17:5 Christ, the central figure, has Moses on his right representing the law, Elijah on his left representing the prophets, and three disciples below, Peter, John, and James, witnessing the Transfiguration. The three circles in the arch above contain symbols of the Trinity. The gold in Christ s robe and throughout represents the glory of God, the brown humanity, the purple kingship, and the red the blood of Christ and the martyrs.
