After most of three decades working in our office as secretary, receptionist and administrator, Liz Garland will retire at the end of March She will continue to volunteer on Monday mornings to keep her foot in the door so to speak and Kathy Middleton will take over Wednesday duties. We will mark the occasion with fun and festivities yet to be determined. THANK YOU From Frances Beresford who is now recovering from recent heart surgery. She thanks everyone for their caring thoughts, wonderful cards, and prayers. Frances is doing very well and the doctor is thrilled with her progress. MAY GARAGE SALE VOLUNTEER NEEDED Friends. We are thrilled to announce that we have a good leadership team in place for the May Parish Garage Sale, BUT WE DO NEED SOMEONE TO COORDINATE THE CLEAN UP afterward. We do have ways and means to dispose of left over product but require someone to take responsibility to this vital role. Please contact the office if you can assist at Thanks a bunch. LADIES BREAKFAST In celebration of Valentine s Day, the men are cooking! Please signup to attend the Ladies Breakfast on Sat. Feb. 8 coffee is on at 8:30 and breakfast is served at 9 a.m., precisely! Come enjoy a hearty breakfast. Bring a friend! 6

Please speak with the wardens or Ken for more information about any of these. Also, our AGM is fast approaching and we are looking for your annual report! The very best way to send your report is via office@colwoodanglican.ca Please make sure your report is in to the office well before Jan. 25 th! The deadline has now past! OUR NEXT ADVENT ADVENTURE DINNER & KARAOKE Saturday February 22 nd 6:00 p.m. Come out and join us for dinner and Karaoke. Dinner is $18.95 (does not include tip) and will include tea/coffee, soup, salad, and your choice of a roast beef dinner, chicken dinner or veggie pasta. Please join us on this adventure. You don t have to get up and sing, but you do need to have fun!! Sign up sheet in the Narthex or phone Joan and bring a friend (or two)! CONFIRMATION AND RENEWAL OF BAPTISMAL VOWS So... how about being confirmed or reaffirming your baptismal vows, as a way of rediscovering your faith? Bishop elect Logan will likely join us on Sunday, May 25 th and it would be great to have twenty or so parishioners present themselves for this special ministry. Talk with if interested.
