JOHN S Children s Chapel is offered for ages ten and under during the Gospel and Sermon, with infant and toddler care in the nursery. We enjoy a family worship service and Children s Sermon on the second Sunday of the month. During the season of Advent, our worship begins with a prayer and the lighting of the Advent wreath. First Sunday of Advent: Faith God, we are blessed with the gift of faith, and we thank you for that gift. As we light this candle, help us to trust in you and say yes to you with all our hearts. Be on guard so that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of this life, and that day catch you unexpectedly, like a trap. For it will come upon all who live on the face of the whole earth.
