Message From Our Pastor Father Joseph Tabigue Our gospel this Sunday is taken from the last chapter of the gospel of Luke in which the Risen Jesus is telling each one of us, You are witnesses of these things (Luke 24:48). Jesus commissions you to witness to the world that he rose from the dead by your way of life as his disciple; as a Christian believer of the One True God. Your faith in the risen Christ needs to be revealed wherever you are, in whatever you do and whomever you are with. Alleluia. Amen. May Crowning Sunday, May 6 th 9:00 am Mass Representatives from our Sunday School classes will crown the Blessed Mother. During the month of May we honor our mothers. We espcecially remember Mother Mary by crowning her with Springtime flowers. Join us in honoring Mary as our mother during this time honored tradition at Our Lady of the Rosary Church. May Crowning is sponsored by the Our Lady of the Rosary Guild. CCD Confirmation Practice Monday, April 30 th, 5:00 pm Due to Artwalk, the CCD Confirmation Practice that was scheduled for April 29th has been canceled and rescheduled for Monday, April 30th at 5:00 pm. Please join us in praying for our Confirmation Students as they prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Gathering Youth Meetings Wednesday, April 18 th, 6:30 pm You are invited to join us for a High School, Jr. High and Young Adult Ministry formation meeting with Bob Schrimpf of the Gathering. Our Parish s parents, grandparents, teens and young adults are welcome to give input, make suggestions, and be a part of this exciting new opportunity at our Church. 3 Easter Lily Intentions for the Living or the Deceased Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Let us rejoice! Our Parish goal of $34,000 for the 2018 Annual Catholic Appeal, Sharing God s Gifts, has been exceeded by 21%! As of Tuesday, April 10, 2018, 139 families and individuals have blessed the Diocese of San Diego with $41, Funds raised in excess of our goal will be returned for use in our sacred Church. Your gifts make work possible that impacts so many in our Diocese: those who attend Catholic school, formation of new priests, evangelization of Young Adults, and being the consoling presence of Christ for those who are imprisoned. Fr. Louis, Fr. Albino and I appreciate your generosity. It is evident that each of our Parishioners live the scripture that has guided this year s ACA.
