2 Welcome! Dear, Girl, let me just tell you how absolutely off the charts excited I am to welcome you into this place on the Mary Kay career path. It s a place of LEADERSHIP & OPPORTUNITY and an avenue to live out your DREAM LIFE and change many other lives in the process! You have joined a small number of women who have achieved this level of success in their business. You are already the envy of most in your Unit and I know that no one arrives here without determination, a warm spirit & a genuine love for people. With that being said, LEADERSHIP is a serious position. Those who follow you will be counting on you for guidance, support & to lead by example. Being a leader in Mary Kay means others will entrust their deepest dreams to you, share their vulnerabilities with you and will depend on you to be reliable, trustworthy & available. Leaders in the Lauchlan National Area are known for holding a moral/ethical standard of the upmost respectable integrity. It is my desire that the DIQs in our Area would behave and conduct themselves in a way that would make Mary Kay Ash proud. It is the highest privilege and honor to move through DIQ and into the Sales Director position in our National Area. Please know that I only want you to submit your commitment form to Mary Kay, Inc if you share the level of commitment that is required to lead women. While in DIQ, you will be groomed to lead women, which has many ups & downs it s not for the faint of heart. DIQ shows a woman what s she s made of! 3 DIQ Commitment Form Initial each statement; return to Leah (this is separate from the official DIQ form on intouch): I will uphold Mary Kay s values, principles & traditions abiding at all times by the Go-Give principles & will operate my business with integrity and the highest standard of ethics. I will sit down and plan the numbers & my schedule at the very beginning of each month so that I am in front of enough people to accomplish my goals and I will share this plan with my director for feedback. I will communicate with my family the intensity of this season & we will decide on a common goal (or what s in it for them) for the entire family. I understand that DIQ is not the time for a vacation, a new dog, moving or any other large transition in life if it can be helped (lol!). I understand I am setting a new bar of positivity for my team. I will not allow gossip around me. If it s not positive, it s negative. I will reach up to my Director for encouragement. I will be coachable and take advice from my director and will initiate communication with her. I understand this is my baby and I am responsible for taking ownership of this goal, knowing the rules, tracking my numbers, etc. I will NOT play hide & seek with my director & I will respect her time I will return all calls/texts/ s/voxes in a timely manner. I understand my place on the scoreboard does not equal my worth as a person. I understand the DAILY commitment to booking (selling & sharing appointments) that will be required. I understand group appointments on my datebook for the month is what it will take to set up a month strong at minimum. I will commit to listening to training audios/read empowering books daily so that I will develop my confidence, knowledge and leadership skills. I am committed to attending every weekly Meeting (with guests). I am willing to be the example of enthusiasm, work ethic, and possibility for my sister consultants. I understand that buying product just to hit a goal is never OK. Thus, I am committed to leading by example with a strong personal retail sales business and will own the skill of tracking & managing my MK money. I will develop mature BIG GIRL courage in my business & not take NO personally. I understand that leaders in MK are expected to be at the four large events each year & I will explain this to my significant other in advance (January Jumpstart & Leadership Conference, Career Conference (March), Seminar (July) & Fall Advance (Oct/Nov)). 5 Truth Is... TRUTH is... our life as we know it is a direct result of the thoughts we think and the words we speak which leads us to the ACTION we have taken thus far or choose NOT TO TAKE. So many leaders WANT success but TRUTH is, they are not willing to PAY THE PRICE because they are limited by their THINKING which ABSOLUTELY LIMITS THE ACTION THEY TAKE...If you speak to any successful leader they will tell you that there is a PRICE FOR SUCCESS...you can label it your dream, purpose, calling, the FIRE that burns within, either way, it is DEEP inside of all of us and it is a CHOICE to walk in it or walk away. God does not change his mind about our destiny He is not going to put a dream in a leaders heart and not give her EVERYTHING it takes TO FINISH. TRUTH...God never quits on us WE QUIT ON God because it got too UNCOMFORTABLE. SUCCESS WILL NOT COME AT BARGAIN PRICES...which means that YOU WILL BE INCONVENIENCED, YOU WILL BE UN- COMFORTABLE, YOU WILL MAKE THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU THAT have LIMITED thinking VERY uncomfortable, YOU WILL HAVE TO WORK HARD, YOU WILL HAVE TO SUMMON FAITH that you did not know you even had and YOU HAVE TO make the DECISION that your PURPOSE and YOUR PASSION is BIGGER than ANYTHING that LIFE is throwing at you. YOU CAN'T BE IN NEUTRAL. TRUTH is...you must DECIDE if you want be on the sideline of life while continuing to make EXCUSES about this or that or GET UP AND FREAKING FIGHT. NOBODY follows the person who quits or makes excuses; they follow the leader who WINS and CONQUERS her DEEPEST FEARS because she is the REAL DEAL and anyone who is in her presence KNOWS it. YOU CAN'T FAKE PASSION OR VISION...YOU EITHER HAVE IT AND WANT IT OR YOU DO NOT and VISION can only come from God because He knows exactly what we are created for. Don't get to the FINISH and have regret and say "GOSH I WISH I HAD"...it is NOT EASY, IT IS NOT CONVENIENT, and you may ask, Is it WORTH IT?... OH YES YES YES IT IS!!! Seriously I look around and ask myself, where are the leaders with PASSION and CONVICTION about who they are and where they are going? Seriously, is it that easy to toss a leader back and forth like the waves of the sea? Actually, it is easy if the leader is DOUBLE MINDED and not CLEAR about WHAT SHE WANTS... however it is NOT POSSIBLE to STOP a LEADER who KNOWS that she KNOWS that she KNOWS what she wants and what God has placed in her heart. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE BROUGHT TO THE EDGE before you will SEE God SHOW up. I have NEVER seen ANY GREAT LEADER coast into the FINISH LINE...if you coasted then you didn t tap out YOUR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL. YES it is painful to BIRTH a DREAM however when we allow ourselves to be SQUEEZED it is the SQUEEZE that brings out the EXCELLENCE that God created us for. Consider it the GREATEST COMPLIMENT in the WORLD when you have a MEN- TOR that PUSHES and SQUEEZES you because they see something you can't see YET and consider it a GIFT FROM GOD...so if you are WISE you will RUN TO those who stretch you and EMBRACE all that you are so your MAGNIFI- CENCE is EVIDENT at the FINISH LINE!
