Laurie Lalko Introduction Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. John Adams Therein lies the problems we have had with the U.S. from the beginning. Because the real America (not what has been fundamentally changed, but the America of the Founders and the America that is and has been the hope of millions as the beacon of freedom) was meant to be just one step away from anarchy, not one step away from despotism. Each American has the most rights of any society that has ever existed. Such a system can lead to successful government only when applied by a people with a strong moral foundation and that means a firm reliance upon God. Even atheists and agnostics normally have a moral code that is based on Judeo-Christian principles. Our Founders were Christians and they used the Scriptural principles of the Bible to guide them into declaring Independence and forming a Union unlike any before which incorporated Biblical principles in its goals, organization, and execution. That system worked well, though even among the Founders, there was dissent and problems. As with most things in life, the farther away from the point of creation of a bold idea, the more degraded its execution has become. That is why frequently those who would become American citizens have a better understanding of what America is, and is intended to be, as well as the true fundamentals of American governance, than those fortunate enough to have been born here. We find ourselves now on the verge of losing the Republic because instead of moral leaders who fear God and take oaths seriously we are too often governed by ignorant, selfish, prideful individuals who are in power for themselves. That is like giving a loaded gun to a two-year-old having a temper tantrum: it can t end well. Many scared Americans keep looking to what is wrong in the Constitution that could have led to such problems so that there can be new laws to fix the situation. There is nothing wrong with the Constitution of the United States of America. The fault, my fellow Americans, lies in us a people who have drifted away from morality and religion into the whirlpool of political correctness with the 4
false god of tolerance pulling us into destruction. This degradation of our society has been ongoing for more than a century, with more people being seduced into anti-american sentiments by the lies that have been fed to the public in ever increasing doses. There have always been many Americans who have devoted their lives faithfully to the true America and service to God and man, but they are not the norm anymore. Frequently they are even mocked even by political officials as well as the mainstream press and popular entertainment. This degradation of our society has resulted in serious problems. It has become crystal clear that we cannot afford to ignore politics. Nor can we rely on those who took an oath of office to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Plato was correct: Those who refuse to engage in politics will be governed by their inferiors. If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin. Samuel Adams We know that time has come. People cry out: Where is our Washington? as in the first president, not the city that disgraces his memory. Washington didn t want to be Washington. Our Washington must come from among us, but we do not need a single man to equal the Washington of our founding because we were born to a great Constitution and we have what we need it has been paid for by the blood of thousands over the centuries. What we need is for each of us to live up to the requirements of true American citizenship: to become as moral as we can so that we will learn and embrace true American principles. And morality comes from our relationship to God. We need to understand that there is a right and a wrong, that the universe is under the control of a Higher Authority, and that we will answer for what we do and what we fail to do. Those who have been indoctrinated in how atheism is more logical than religious belief bristle at this notion. Why is it more logical to believe that something (and a pretty amazing something) comes from nothing which is the foundation of atheism? Suddenly the universe just appeared. After that, there are all manner of other unreasonable mental gymnastics that have to be engaged in to support 5
Laurie Lalko atheism. As there is no God and there is no purpose or meaning to life except to survive at all costs, we are supposed to believe that there is a need for people to pass on their DNA, and that that explains not only the sex drive but altruistic acts where a parent will sacrifice his life for his child or a soldier for his country. How irrational. In a purposeless life in a meaningless universe there is no logic in caring about what becomes of one s DNA. Things don t spontaneously appear from nothing (God has no beginning. God is like the expression of infinity no beginning, no middle, no end. If someone is scientifically and logically minded, infinity is an awesome concept, but it s not illogical. It should not be hard if one can claim to accept the concept of infinity to embrace the concept of God. That is logically consistent and even though ancients, such as the Greeks who developed logic, didn t know the God of the Bible they had a sense of an eternal and didn t regard that as an illogical concept.) With the belief in God (the God of the Bible), life still has some mysteries, but makes a lot more sense than without such a belief system. We learn that the Great I Am is in relationship (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) in Himself and that He so loved His human creation that He sent His only Son to become man and die for our sins. This shows that God loves us. It also shows He acknowledges that His creation, Man, is sinful, and will make mistakes, which is what sin is a mistake. God provided us with rights and responsibilities. The Founders believed this. Jefferson noted And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure if we have lost the only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? (Notes on the State of Virginia, 237, via God gave us rules to live by and He gave us free will so we may choose to not live by His rules, but we will suffer the consequences of such choice. For those who don t get it, remember that if sin were not tempting, we would not sin. So nonsense about how some people are born that way as an excuse for anything be it lust for power, drug addiction, or sexual problems ignores the logic of the fact that if the wrong thing were not attractive, then people would not choose it. 6
The most common fault, and sin, is that of pride, and that largely explains how we arrived at this unfortunate mismanagement of America and also gives us the key to how we extricate ourselves from the mess of our creation. The first step is to admit the fault lies with us, not with the Constitution. The next step is to humbly ask God to forgive us and guide us back to the Constitution, which is the most moral form of government, and the true expression of free will. God had a hand in the creation of this most amazing country and government and it is His desire that we live up to the principles of our founding, which express Scriptural guidance for living on earth. If we sincerely pray for wisdom, guidance, and protection it will be granted to us, but enough of us must do this to counteract the bad choices and inaction of the millions for so long. Let s go over the basics of the true America, ignoring the lies that we were taught in the indoctrination camps (AKA public schools), and the meddling of judicial activists, and the perversions of politicians. With a clear and accurate understanding of the key elements of our Founding documents and wishes of our Founders we can see the road to saving this country. This is something we, the people, need to do. It is fine to have someone spearhead the movement, but the old pick a leader and let him and a few others do all the work is an attitude that needs to die. We are supposed to be governing ourselves and that means we have to devote some time and effort to political issues because the correct order of power in America is: God, the people, the state, and the feds are a dead last. What we have morphed into is a Godless country ruled by usurpers in the federal government who have spawned unconstitutional, counterproductive structures to micromismanage us into the mess we have become. That needs to end because America is on life support and the time has come to save the country or the best hope of freedom dies from those unwilling to do some work for the benefits they ve received and will continue to experience. Any parent should care what kind of world he is leaving his child. Any young person should be willing to work now for a better life. Any older, childless person should be willing to pay back for the blessings he has received because even this corrupted America has been better than the vast majority of other countries. That s simple truth, witnessed by the desire of millions, sometimes at the literal risk of 7
Laurie Lalko death, coming here. Those who are politically correct, PCers, are destroying the U.S. Every PCer who screams that multiculturalism is the way to go and all societies are equal launches a direct attack on every immigrant who gives up everything to make it to the land of freedom. That attitude is spitting on every service member who has put his life on the line to defend this country and protect those of us who don t do military service but reap the benefits of their sacrifice. PCers are riddled with disrespect and contempt. This multicultural PC attitude is also an offense against logic. In much of the world, females are still property not in a bogus women aren t paid fairly and can t join some clubs whiny way but in a very real way where they literally can t show their faces, are denied an education, and where if victims of rape, they are blamed and murdered for it in the twisted belief that they have shamed their families by being victims. This includes small children well under the age of ten. This is not about lustful women who get caught in the act. Only an immoral person will claim that a mere child is a seductress. No, there is real sexism out there and it leads to lives of bondage and degradation and very possibly death by stoning or beheading. To pretend that kind of culture or society is the equal of one where every female has the rights of every male is insane. There are many, however, who are so fixated on their own agenda that hypocrisy doesn t bother them in the least. They will say anything, do anything, to have power so they cry for women who are second class citizens in the freest country ever and sacrifice without hesitation women and children who really are abused and enslaved by their cultures. That is where the end justifies the means leads because a just outcome can never come from unjust means. It defies logic. Further examination of other issues of political correctness prove it to be a morally bankrupt, intellectually bogus view point and people need to be clear about that. We need to refuse to be battered into stupidity by adolescent shrieks of all the -isms out there from sexism to racism to every other division someone came come up with to achieve his own manipulative agenda. We also need to shoot down the false god of tolerance. Tolerance is not a virtue. In fact, it is a vice. Two extremes can t peacefully coexist. That is why it s not possible to have a truly free society with people within it who are property. That is why the cancer that 8
slavery is ate at our society and its legacy left scars we have yet to fully heal. That is why other cultures that want to impose their will and their intolerant beliefs on us cannot be tolerated: they are a poison to us. If someone wishes to live in a society where women and children are property, they need to live elsewhere. That system cannot exist in America, even in selected areas. There is no virtue whatsoever in pretending that tolerating such evil, for that is what it is, is a good thing. There is nothing wrong with being proud of an actual virtue, such as equality, which is found in the true America. As Ronald Reagan observed: The ultimate determinant in the struggle now going on for the world will not be bombs and rockets but a test of wills and ideas a trial of spiritual resolve: the values we hold, the beliefs we cherish and the ideals to which we are dedicated. That the threat is now primarily from within doesn t alter his observation. After all, didn t Lincoln warn us what could destroy the U.S.? At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide. So how do we reclaim our country? The answers are actually fairly clear and easy; the process is hard and long. It s going to take real commitment, but it can be done. What follows are the key elements to RESTORE AMERICA. 9
