1 This course will consist of 9 4 hour classes of instruction and discussion Between classes there will be a short quiz and consultation (sending 2 pictures) of what was covered that week in class. First class, just how to take a good picture. Then there will be 2 classes of Mock Consultations. The first will be Iridology and the second will be 2 hr Iridology, 1 hour sclerology and 1 hour pupil tonis. Each student will be expected to send in 2 people s eyes 4 eyes the week before class. Last class will be a review for the test. A pretest will have been filled out and we will cover common misconceptions. The Steps in Becoming an IIPA Board Certified Iridologist Take the Core Curriculum by a IIPA Certified Instructor Complete the course and get at least an 80% or better on quizzes and test Complete 10 Iris case studies. (Your first 2 we will do together in class) with at least 80% or better proficiency Receive you Certificate of completion Submit a copy of the certificate and a copy of an anatomy and physiology certificate of completion Request the Certification exam from IIPA Arrange a proctor to be in attendance during the exam. The test will be sent to them. A clergy, a librarian etc. Arrange a time and location with that proctor Take the open book exam in 4 hours. 2 Why IIPA? Give credence to Iridology Standardized information To integrate European and Modern American Iridology terminology. Do studies to prove what is true and what is a fallacy Google list the definition of Iridology as: (in alternative medicine) diagnosis by examination of the iris of the eye. Four Studies of the Eyes (EyeOlogy) Pupil Tonis The study of the size, shape and characteristics of the Pupil (Class 8) Iridology The study of the Iris (the colored part of the eye), including its mark, toxins and variation of the fibers which indicate, genetic weaknesses, inherent strengths and weaknesses. Which gives insight to where the person needs to relax, build or stimulate tissues in the body. (Classes 2-7) Rayid Associates patterns in the iris with personality traits Time Risk (Not covered in this course but recognized by IIPA) Sclerology- The study of the sclera s (the white part of the eye) texture, color and blood vessels. Indicating how diet exercise, stress and lifestyle is affecting the body. Iridology Genesis and History Later Ignaz Von Peczely Mid 1800 became a doctor and notice things in the Iris of his patience. There are many charts since Ignaz. You can purchase them online. I provide for you a very simple chart included in this class. Ledge has it that as a child Ignaz, born in Hungary had a pet Owl that broke its leg. He noticed that it developed a dark mark on the bottom of the Iris on the side the leg was broken. As it healed, the line disappeared. He would record/draw the difference along with the symptoms and developed the first Iridology chart. 2

Iridology can lend insight to our body s imbalances, genetic weaknesses, possible toxins and lends information on how best to cleanse those toxins out. You can NOT diagnose using the Iris because: A diagnosis is the identification an illness by examination of the symptoms Iridology indicates weaknesses, toxins or imbalance; for instance Emphysema and Asthma both stems from a lung which is less than perfect.. However, it is impossible to by iris alone determine which health condition from which the person s suffers Diagnosis is an inefficient way to help people choose what can help them regain their health. Same named disease might respond differently in different people. It is against the law Is Iridology a diagnostic tool? Remember Iridology is to help someone understand how to develop a healthy lifestyle It should not be used to alarm. Include strengths and comfort Should not just be a way to sell supplements. IIPA is trying to uniform the terminology to break that language barrier. Relationships Laughing, Loving, Hugging etc. Age Even the most diligent people notice a decline during the aging process. How we treat our body is paramount is improving this part of the equation. Suggestions on How to Take Pictures With an Iris Scope Please follow the guidelines below to ensure a good quality picture of your eyes: Examples 1) Need at least a 5.5 pixel camera (the higher the number, the better) 2) Take the picture about a foot away from the face so that not only the eye is in the picture, but some of the face as well. Most people make the mistake of getting too close 3) Most cameras have a setting with a flower on it it is made for close ups. Check your camera s instruction manual to find the setting for close up pictures. 4) It s important to take the picture away from any outside light, glare from light coming in the windows or artificial light from lamps or overhead lights. It s best to take the picture in a hallway. 5) Use a flash. If you have very light blue eyes, sometimes the flash cannot be used. 6) Pictures need to be clear and light. 7) No cropping or altering pictures 8) Typical pixel size is 1500 x 1500 or higher 9) The person should be looking straight ahead 10) If the top of the eye and the bottom of the eye do not show, then spread the eyelids open so they do. 11) Save as a jpeg, to MarysHerbs@aol.com 5
