A special welcome to our guests worshiping with us this morning, we are glad you are here and pray that Jesus Word will touch your heart in some special way. Please sign in the Record of Fellowship as it is passed down your pew during the service. Please include your name and address, so we can thank you for joining us this week. If we can be of service to you, please let us know. OFFERINGS AND TITHES Offerings are our special gifts given to the Lord on special days or occasions or whenever we are moved to do so, for any reason. Tithes are those monetary gifts we return to the Lord on a regular basis as first fruits. We do this in response to His love, and for all the blessings that He gives to us each day. If you are a visitor today, feel free to give an offering to the Lord, but do not feel you need to do so. We pray that the Lord will continue to lead you to give your offerings and tithes in your home congregation. TO OUR GUESTS AND VISITORS Trinity s congregation confesses that the Sacrament of the Altar is the true Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ under the bread and wine, instituted by Christ himself for us to eat and drink, as a means of receiving the gift of salvation that He won for us on the cross. Participation in the Sacrament is a declaration of fellowship that is evidence of oneness in faith and doctrine; for this reason Trinity practices close communion. In faithfulness to our Lord s Word and in Christian love, only members of Trinity or of a sister congregation in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod may commune this day. All first time LCMS visitors are requested to announce your intention to commune prior to the service with Pastor or an elder. Let us pray that our Lord would, through His Holy Word, bring about unity in doctrine, faith and life. ~ 2 ~

3 PRAYER BEFORE WORSHIP (LUTHER S MORNING PRAYER) I thank You, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, Your dear Son, that You have kept me this night from all harm and danger; and I pray that You would keep me this day also from sin and every evil, that all my doings and life may please You. For into Your hands I commend myself, my body and soul, and all things. Let Your holy angel be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me. Amen. 4 P Beloved in the Lord, Moses was commanded by the Lord to receive gifts from the people for the beautification of the sanctuary. Everyone whose heart was stirred and whose spirit was moved supplied an offering to be used to the praise and glory of the Lord. Exodus 35:21 Since the Lord has taught us in His holy Word that everything is sanctified by the Word of God and prayer, it is fitting that we seek God s blessing on these hymnals for use in His holy house. 8 JR. YOUTH GROUP J.A.M. is in need of one or two adult leaders for the year. Please think about volunteering to help the kids achieve their goals this year. QUARTERLY VOTERS MEETING & CHURCH POTLUCK OCT. 20 TH There will be a quarterly voters meeting and church potluck will be held after the education hour on Oct. 20 th. Please join us as we work through some church business and enjoy church fellowship afterward. FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT OCT. 26 TH The Sr. Youth Group is hosting a family movie night at the church. For the adults, we will be watching Luther and for the kids, Veggie Tales Jonah and the Whale. We will start with a potluck dinner at 5:00 pm. The Sr. Youth Group will bring the popcorn for the movie. CORN MAZE OCT. 27 TH Our JAM outing for October will be to the Corn Maze in Harrisburg. We also want to invite all families of the congregation to attend with us. We will be leaving after the education hour. Cost is $5/each if we have at least 20 people going. Interested in carpooling?
