In fact, every day is a good day to praise the Lord. Before the day comes, we do not know what awaits us, but, regardless of what it brings, we have decided to praise the Lord. In fact, whether the day is gloomy or rosy, the Lord is the same and He should be praised. It was so very exciting to study James. We learned so much, and Bible class was exciting. We can't forget: - Basic Training James 1:2-4 - Speak the Word James 1: Be Patient James 5:7-12 Usually, we come out of a book with a catchy saying like, "Rejoice and hang in there." Now we are in I Peter. This book gives us a lot of encouragement and reminders. Chief among them is that God knows! Already, we are using words to focus on achieving what God is conveying to us. We also already have a catchy saying, "Do right and do good." When I think of the Book of James and Peter this comes to mind: "When trouble comes, rejoice and hang in there because God knows. Because of God s care, we can trust Him: Your Father knows what you need before you ask him (Matthew 6:8).

Jesus was sent to save the lost and bridge the gap between man and God since the fall, but He still took the time to meet the immediate needs of people He encountered.

Of course, God cares about the little things in our lives, because everything is little compared to God! Luke 12:7 says, Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. God takes the time to keep up with how many hairs we have now that s a God of detail! Throughout Scripture, we see that God is interested in more than just the highlights of our lives as His children. He cares about every aspect of who we are, because we are His creation made in His image (see Genesis 1:27). He cares for all of His creations, including plants, animals, and the environment. If God even meets the needs of birds who are not made in His image, who have no will to choose Him or reject Him, how much more will he care for our needs in detail? Because of God s care, we can trust Him: Your Father knows what you need before you ask him (Matthew 6:8). Throughout Jesus earthly ministry, we see that He was interested in the specifics of people s lives. Jesus has always been more interested in quality than quantity. Jesus was sent to save the lost and bridge the gap between man and God since the fall, but He still took the time to meet the immediate needs of people He encountered. In Matthew 14:18 21 we see a clear picture of Jesus compassion on the hungry crowds. One meal in the lives of so many is but a detail, yet we have an amazing account of His earnestness in providing a heaven-sent meal for over 5,000 men, women, and children. God does indeed care about the little things in our lives, because He cares about us. Compared to Him and His glory, our whole lives are made up of those little things. Psalm 139:17 18 says, How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them, Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I am awake, I am still with you. This is one way the devil manages to destroy humans physically, mentally and emotionally.

Lions are accustomed to their victims fleeing, but standing firm and facing them bewilders and confuses them. In most cases the charging lion will stop short and turn away. Lions spend most of the day relaxing and sleeping, storing up their energy for the time they go hunting. Humans should learn a lesson from this behavior. It is tragic that humans frequently expend their energy and resources fighting each other and forget who the real enemy is. This is one way the devil manages to destroy humans physically, mentally and emotionally. We forget that our most insidious and treacherous enemies are Satan and his demons, who are the unseen rulers of this world. The Christian life requires that we fight the good fight, finish the race and keep the faith in order to receive the crown of righteousness that God has promised to those who have loved His appearing (2 Timothy 4:7-8). Part of finishing the race and receiving the crown of righteousness is standing firm and steadfastly facing our enemy, Satan the devil. 4 1 Peter gives persecuted Christians a powerful reminder that they have hope in the midst of their suffering. From the time of Abraham, God's people were a misunderstood minority and should expect to face hostility because they live under King Jesus' rule. However, they are chosen by God, and their persecution is actually a gift because it offers them a chance to show others the surprising generosity and love of Jesus, which is fueled by hope in His return and victory over evil. Peter is hopeful that their imitation of Jesus and demonstration of His upside-down kingdom, which includes baptism and service, will give power to their words as they bear witness to God's mercy and show people the beautiful truth about Jesus.
