Allen, Presenter November 8, 2014 INTRODUCTION When Jesus died, the middle wall of partition (the veil) that separated us from God because of our sins, was rent in two from top to bottom. The rent veil signified that we were no longer alienated from God because of sin. He destroyed the works of the devil and the sin issue. Through his blood, he paid the debt for our sins. Now, we can freely walk and talk with God again. We can come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16) Even more significant than access to God was the fact that we became the family of God. 2 Corinthians 6:18 states, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Jesus established an open door for us. He provided a sense of family when he tore down the veil that separated us from God because of sin and introduced God as Father to us. Now we have a heavenly family and we are of the household of God. You are royalty and joint heirs with God. You share in the inheritance that is yours because of your relationship with God the Father. You do not have to be bound by poverty, sickness, sin nor death. You have been set free by the blood of Jesus and his wonderful sacrifice of himself. (Excerpt from 40 Days of Prayer, Dr. Debra Allen) John 10:9-10 (KJV) Jesus said: [9] I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. [10] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Regarding Jesus the Word says: Isa 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. 3 Our access is through Jesus Christ. Everything we will ever need, His hand has already provided. Now it is time to activate our access card of faith to release unto us everything that has already been provided. Faith is an action word. Faith simply put means believing that God is able. Believing is an action word. Nothing that we want to receive from God is passive. It requires aggressive faith and aggressive believing. We must have trust and complete confidence in the Creator. There is not an issue with having faith because our Creator has given to each of us a measure of faith. With the measure of faith given you can obtain and gain access to all the promises of God and the power of God. Paramount to activating our faith are some life changing scriptures. Meditate on these scriptures and hide them in your heart and confess them out of your mouth. They are the keys to receiving from God. I. HAVE FAITH IN GOD. It is the same as having the faith of God or having Godlike faith. II. YOU CAN HAVE WHAT YOU SAY. The same power God used to create the world and all that therein is rests in you. Say what you need to happen and it will-when you release your faith in the words that you say. Mark 11:22-23 (KJV) Release Your Faith [22] And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. [23] For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Going through the open door requires faith. Receiving the promises of God require faith. Believing God for supernatural provision is by faith. Operating in the realm of power and dominion require faith. So, I conclude that everything we need is received by faith; therefore, we must have a lifestyle of faith. Faith must be at the core of our being and our actions. Faith open doors. Faith walks. The word confirms: Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) [6] But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV) [7] (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) So, by faith-walk! 4 Romans 1:17 (KJV) [17] For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. IN TODAY S SESSION, YOU WILL GAIN AN UNDERSTANDING OF HOW THE OPEN DOOR WORKS: Promise Provision Prayer Power THE PROMISE [7] And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; [8] I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Revelation 3:7-8 (KJV) The key to receiving in this season is in verse 8. God has set forth the open door for those that have kept His word and has not denied His name. This is His promise to us. Throughout history God has given to great and precious promises. To build our faith, we read of the faithfulness of God to fulfill those promises. It ignites in us faith to believe, faith to receive and faith to take God as His word. Let s explore. ABRAHAM Gen 17:2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. Gen 17:3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, Gen 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Gen 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. Gen 17:6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. Gen 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. Gen 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. 5 Gen 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; Gen 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. ISAAC Gen 26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; Gen 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; JACOB S OPEN HEAVEN EXPERIENCE Gen 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. Gen 28:13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; Gen 28:14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Gen 28:15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. Gen 46:2 And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I. Gen 46:3 And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: TRANSITION & REPOSITIONING FOR THE FULFILLMENT OF A BLESSING Gen 46:4 I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes. Jacob obeyed. Obedience is also a key to receiving from God. THE PROVISION The tithe is a covenant with God that gives you access to the provisions of God. Mal 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Mal 3:11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 6 Deuteronomy 8:18-19 (KJV) Power to get wealth [18] But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Psalms 103 states the Benefits- 1Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle s Psalms 78:22-25 (KJV) God s supernatural provision in the wilderness. [22] Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation: [23] Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven, [24] And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven. [25] Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full. Isaiah 45:1-3 (KJV) Provision for Cyrus to live in God s place of I WILL. [1] Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; [2] I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: GOD WANTS US TO KNOW THAT HE PROVIDES ALL. [3] And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. WHEN GOD STATES I WILL IT IS A DONE DEAL. There is nothing that anyone can add to or take away from God s promise of I WILL. Finances must be the number one strategy that Satan uses to keep us burdened, bound and oppressed. To remove or lift the burden, speak the Word of God to it. Scriptures that I find that may help include seeing our financial state through the provision of Jesus: 2 Corinthians 8:9 (KJV) [9] For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. 7 Philippians 4:19 (KJV) [19] But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. John 10:10 (KJV) [10] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) [20] Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Luke 6:38 (KJV) [38] Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Remind Satan of the promises of God by speaking the Word. Also, you make sure that you have seed in the ground (Luke 6:38) so that you can reap a harvest. Give! PROVISIION FOR HEALING First, let s establish it is Jesus will is to heal. Acts 10:38 records, How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Jesus did good upon the earth and healed all that were oppressed of the devil. He destroyed the lie that Satan fixed in the heart of man, stating that sickness is of God. I contend that if sickness is of God, why pray for healing. Everyone who is sick should just say thank you and live with the sickness. But Acts 10:38 clearly states God s will is for us to be whole otherwise Jesus entire ministry was against the will of God. The next point of clarification of the will of the Father concerning healing can be found in the prophecy recorded in Isaiah 53:4-5 which states the following: Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. We are healed is written in the present tense even though it was recorded in Isaiah thousands of years ago. Before Jesus ever went to the cross and offered himself as a sacrifice on Calvary, it was recorded that the sacrifice would accomplish our healing. Every sickness or disease known to man or would appear in the future was covered by the blood of Jesus and his death cries out we are healed. If before the foundations of the world Christ chose to come, He would bring the will of the Father with him. Isaiah saw it and spoke boldly of Christ s death and the redemptive power of his death, burial, and resurrection. Healing is decreed as ours based on the sacrifice and blood of Jesus. 8 Healing is a component of the redemptive plan of God. Christ, our redeemer, demonstrated the will of God to heal throughout His ministry on earth. Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV) [13] Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: [14] That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. HEALING BELONGS TO US. PRAYER Mark 11:24 which states: Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. The moment you release a prayer to God believe Him that it is already answered. Why? Because what you pray for and the answer are the same. Luke 11:11-12 explains: If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? [12] Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? The reply would be no. If you in the natural would grant the right request, why not God, our heavenly Father. Don t beg God! It is a lack of faith on your part to ask God over and over again for the same prayer. God is not hard of hearing. He can respond to the request the moment you make it or there may be some lapse of time between the prayer and the answer. We make time an issue. Time is not our enemy; time is our friend. I believe time works with patience in us to produce character and virtue. The only part that is pertinent is what part or role do you play in the petition of prayer. Believe. When you pray, believe it to be so. Have confidence that God will bring it to pass. You may ask, how do I know whether God will or not? I find comfort in these scriptures that I will share with you: 1 John 5:14-15 (KJV) [14] And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: [15] And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. John 14:13-14 (KJV) [13] And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. [14] If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. Take comfort in knowing that God will and wants to come through for you. God answers prayers and grants you the desires of your heart. Ask in prayer believing that it is so even as you have believed. 9 POWER Everything is about power. What is power? If I defined it according to the dictionary it would read: power >noun 1 the ability to do something or act in a particular way. 2 the capacity to influence other people or the course of events. 3 a right or authority given or delegated to a person or body. -ORIGIN Old French poeir, from Latin posse 'be able'. Just flowing with the dictionary, power represents the right or authority given or delegated to a person or body. From that perspective, the power that is within you and me is the supernatural power delegated or given to us by God Almighty. I contend that we are unaware of what great resource lies within us. We have established previously through scripture that the power is within. Next, let us examine incidents of disciples acting upon the WORD, command of Jesus with power. To do this understand they operated either in delegated authority (exousia) in the Greek or in miracle working power (dunamis). Delegated authority. Jesus sent seventy disciples out by twos to go into the cities and prepare the way for him to come. They went forth with power and returned with a good report and said, Lord, even the devils are subject to us through thy name. (Luke 10:17) Miracle working power. Jesus explained, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power (authority) to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power (miracle working ability) of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:18-19) Power also means to have dominion. Jesus said for us to have dominion over serpents and scorpions (demonic influence) and all the power of the enemy (satan). This power restored us to kingdom dominion as originally intended by Father when He created Adam and told him to have dominion and subdue the earth. Jesus life demonstrated power. Faith is the key for accessing the power to live the victoriously life Jesus provided free from poverty, sin, sickness and death. Deliverance is yours now. Walk through the open door.
