2 Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. 권능을주시니라

3 These twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them: Do not go in the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter any city of the Samaritans; but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 이방인의길로도가지말고사마리아인의고을에도들어가지말고오히려이스라엘집의잃어버린양에게로가라

4 And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

5 How may we better understand the spiritual The Biblical implications way of transferring regarding the of transferring authority from of authority one to from another. one to another.

6 We can easily search the Scriptures and find accounts where authority was transferred to another person. For instance, God spoke to Moses and instructed him to lay hands on Joshua to transfer his authority and leadership to him. So the LORD said to Moses, Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him So let s look at that Scripture account first.

7 You shall put some of your authority on him, in order that all the congregation of the sons of Israel may obey him. and hast put of thine honour upon him, so that all the company of the sons of Israel do hearken. 네존귀를그에게돌려

8 Moses did just as the Lord commanded him; and he took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.

9 Then he laid his hands on him and commissioned him, just as the Lord had spoken through Moses.

10 When Moses laid hands on Joshua the Spirit of Wisdom came upon Joshua. Here we see that it was through the laying on of hands. Now Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him Deuteronomy 34.9 모세가눈의아들여호수아에게안수하였으므로그에게지혜의영이충만하니이스라엘자손이여호와께서모세에게명령하신대로여호수아의말을순종하였더라

11 Is there something more that we need to understand About our hands? About the anointing? 기름바름 About the consecration? 성별함 About commissioning About Honor?

12 Let s take a look at another Scripture account where authority was transferred to Aaron and his sons.

13 For Aaron s sons you shall make tunics; you shall also make sashes for them, and you shall make caps for them, for glory and for beauty.

14 You shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him; and you shall anoint them and ordain them and consecrate them, that they may serve Me as priests. You shall anoint them and ordain them and consecrate them, that they may serve Me as priests. 기름을부어위임하고거룩하게하여

15 For Aaron s sons you shall make tunics 속옷 ; Exactly how was Moses to accomplish you shall also make sashes this anointing and Ordination 띠 for them, and of Aaron you shall make caps관 for them, and his sons? for glory and for beauty. First we need to understand the word anoint and ordain as used in this passage. You shall anoint them and ordain them and consecrate them, that they may serve Me as priests.

16 Exactly how was Moses to accomplish this anointing and Ordination of Aaron and his sons? Literally to fill their hand.

17 anoint ordain The word anoint and ordain [consecrate] has as its meaning the word χεῖρας (pronounced cheiros) which means hand.

18 More specifically the usage of the word χεῖρας (cheiros) implies that something is done to the hand so that it is consecrated or dedicated for some specific use.

19 Interestingly the YLT has picked up on this Greek word χεῖρας (cheiros).

20 The YLT actually reads: and thou hast clothed Aaron thy brother with them, and his sons with him, and hast anointed them, and hast consecrated their hand.

22 When I first read this verse I was still not clear on the concise meaning or what was actually being accomplished with Aarons hands.

23 For expediency 편의상 I will drop in the Greek words then translate them for a quick explanation of the point I am trying to make.

24 καὶ ἐνδύσεις αὐτὰ Ααρων τὸν ἀδελφόν καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς And you enter] [that s all/these ones] [Aaron his brother and his sons αὐτοῦ μετ αὐτοῦ καὶ χρίσεις αὐτοὺς [The same/you shall] [also anoint/smear or rub on substances such as salve or oil them]

25 καὶ ἐμπλήσεις αὐτῶν τὰς χεῖρας καὶ ἁγιάσεις [and you fill] [theirs] [their hands] [and you dedicate as holy] Ordain 안수하다 Consecrate 성별하다

26 αὐτούς αὐτούς, ἵνα ἱερατεύωσίν μοι [that he may] [execute the priestly office in the presence of God] "filling of the hands of Aaron and his sons" so that their hands are smeared with oil (filled and anointed 기름을바르다 ) for the work of the priestly service (consecrated) for carrying out the priestly responsibilities.

27 During Jesus ministry he consistently ministered through the laying on of hands. Jesus laid hands on the children to bless them. He laid hands on the sick and healed them. 안수하고

28 One of the synagogue officials named Jairus came up, and on seeing Him, fell at His feet and implored Him earnestly, saying, My little daughter is at the point of death; please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will get well and live. please come and lay Your hands on her, 오셔서그위에손을얹으사

29 Luke records that While the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and laying His hands on each one of them, He was healing them. laying His hands on each 손을얹으사고치시니 일일이그위에

30 The Scriptures record the Apostles were laying their hands on believers: " And these they brought before the apostles; and after praying, they laid their hands on them" 안수하니라

31 Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.

32 When they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit.

33 For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

34 Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. 그들에게안수하매

35 And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money. Acts 8:18 시몬이사도들의안수로성령받는것을보고돈을드려

36 Ananias laid hands on Saul and he received his sight. 안수하여

37 After Ananias laid hands Saul who later became Paul, he in turn laid hands on Publias and many others and they were healed (Acts 28). And it happened that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and dysentery. Paul went in to him and prayed, and he laid his hands on him and healed him. 그에게안수하여

38 Paul also laid hands on twelve believers in the Ephesian Assembly and they were baptized in the Holy Spirit, spoke in tongues and prophesied (Acts 19.6). 안수하매

39 Paul plainly stated to the Roman assembly that he longed to see them to impart some spiritual gift so they may be established. We now understand how he was to impart this spiritual gift through the laying on of hands. Romans 1.11

40 Paul repeatedly encouraged Timothy not to neglect the spiritual gift in him that was bestowed through the laying on of hands from the eldership. 안수받을때에

41 And again he reminded Timothy to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in him and given through the laying on of hands. 안수함으로

42 Just from these few short accounts recorded in Scripture we see that Spiritual Blessings, Healings Baptism in the Holy Spirit and Authority are all transferred through the laying on of hands.

43 This is why you cannot go to college to become a preacher. Apostolic anointing is transferred from the Holy Spirit to you through the laying on of hands. Not from an academic instructor.

44 There is more to this anointing and consecration and ordination, Lets look at that.

45 It is like the precious oil upon the head, Coming down upon the beard, Even Aaron s beard, Coming down upon the edge of his robes

46 Then you shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him.

47 Getting back to our initial question

48 Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.

49 How may we better understand the spiritual implications regarding the transferring of authority from one to another. The Biblical way of transferring of authority from one to another is through the laying on of hands.

50 Jesus likely transferred authority to the disciples through laying on of hands in the same manner they ministered the Holy Spirit and healing to others.

51 The doctrine of Laying on of hands is significant for the Christian who has received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

52 For that person, they have most likely experienced and received the baptism" through the laying on of hands.

53 Laying on of hands was how Jacob conferred the blessing upon Ephraim and Manasseh.

54 The laying on of hands MUST be led by the Holy Spirit. Use the gifts in subjection to the Holy Spirit, because it is the Holy Spirit who imparts the healing the gifts and the authority. Without the Holy Spirit it is dangerous.

55 Remember Jesus could do no mighty work in his own home town because of their unbelief. Mark writes: He could do no miracle there except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.

56 Let s look at the transfer of Spirits occurring through the laying on of hands

57 And you shall bring the Levites before the tabernacle of meeting, and you shall gather together the whole congregation of the children of Israel.

58 So you shall bring the Levites before the Lord and the children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites.

59 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord, like a wave offering from the children of Israel, that they may perform the work of the Lord. 여호와께봉사하게하기위함이라

60 Then the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the young bulls, and you shall offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to the Lord, to make atonement for the Levites. 안수하게하고

61 Then Aaron shall offer the bull of the sin offering which is for himself and make atonement for himself and for his household, and he shall slaughter the bull of the sin offering which is for himself. 자기와집안을위하여속죄하고

62 The Scapegoat Sins/Unclean Spirits of the People

63 Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats, one lot for the Lord and the other lot for the scapegoat.

64 Then Aaron shall offer the goat on which the lot for the Lord fell, and make it a sin offering.

65 But the goat on which the lot for the scapegoat fell shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon it, to send it into the wilderness as the scapegoat.

66 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh 하여거룩하게하거든 그육체를정결하게

67 How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

68 For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant. 첫언약때에범한죄에서

69 The Scripture that reads: Lay hands on no man suddenly (1Tim 5.22) should have more of a clearer meaning in light of other passages such as Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do cast your pearls before swine(matthew 7.6). 1Tim 5.22 Matthew 7:6
