In 2007 we all had to make the choice concerning where we would spend the subsequent three years of our lives. Contrary to popular opinion, we chose to come to a school which has rules that our modern culture would deem unnecessary or unrealistic. These guidelines, though difficult at times, were God s tender way of developing discipline and character within us. God s heart is that we learn and know Christ above all else. We have learned not to serve rules but to serve our precious Lord Jesus, who in turn enables us to abide by His precepts. We are called by God to follow Him despite this world s pleasures (Hebrews 11:24-27). As we continue to exercise faith in Christ Jesus, God will do more in and through our lives than we could possibly begin to imagine. This is for God s glory! Sometimes it is scary not knowing what will ensue, but our loving Father who has brought us this far will likewise carry us the whole journey long. We have learned that intimacy is the key to maintaining a vital relationship with the Lord and in our intimate time with the Lord is where we get our strength, wisdom, and grace for each day. As we spend time with Him, in His presence, we are changed into His image by the Spirit of the Lord. When I search for words I can not find them, but I can say it has been my privilege to serve such a holy group of people. Sometimes the fire burned hot, seasons were intense, but in the end God has been faithful to us. There were times when we felt like giving up because of our inadequacies and it was in those moments when Jesus showed us that nothing will be impossible with God. Let this confidence you have in Christ be your strength as He leads you to do the impossible for Him in this lost and dying generation. Remember His charge for us to rise up and diligently seek Him. God has done a great work in all of us, and He has transformed us. To know God is the best thing about Mount Zion. The next best thing is being a part of an army of young people God is raising up. May the fruit of our bond together last our whole lives (Psalm 133). My sincere prayer is that brokenness would surpass the Mount Zion experience to lives truly broken for the Lord Jesus. I love you all from the bottom of my heart. I am filled with hope of what God is about to do. No eye has seen, no ear has heard what the Lord has prepared for us, His bride. (John 14:2) Dear Class, Oh, my goodness! Three years have just flown by. I remember back to the first year when we came in, full of questions, fears, maybe even other agendas. Our second year we grew and were learning to lead, teach, preach, share our gifts, and acknowledge our inadequacies. Now, here we are, third year, knowing who we are in Christ, fully acknowledging we are human and still fail; but embracing the truth of the message of the Cross with all we are. I have seen you all grow so much! Never forget what made you come to Mount Zion; and never forget what made you stay: His love, His drawing power, His voice, His beauty, His overall splendor. Let us make the decision to run forward to whatever God has planned for us. Hold on, do not forget what you have learned and I will see you at the end of the race! 5 The Internship T he internship is the time when the student puts into practice the classroom training from the past two years. It is when the students are exposed to full-time ministry and learn all that encompasses the ministry work. Many walk away with a greater understanding of their position in Christ, as they have learned that without Christ, they can do nothing. There are many testimonies of changed hearts as they ve experienced first hand the necessity to preserve that intimate relationship with the Lord. It is in His presence we are changed (II Corinthians 3:18), and also prepared to effectively minister in the love and power of Christ. The internship is definitely a time of seasoning and maturing in every student s walk with the Lord. It is from this place that many have laid down their lives to continue in the service of the Lord.
