10 1 CHAPTER 9 THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE Ephesians 6:10 11 (KJV) 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. All believers must be constantly clothed with the armor of God and be aware that the devil is out to destroy them. You must remember that his job is to steal, to kill, and to destroy. He and all his evil forces are constantly attacking God's people. The devil will do everything in his power to keep you from understanding that you have power and authority over him and that he is a defeated foe because of what Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior did for you and me. He is out to steal that from you and you must have the knowledge of your power and authority over Satan. Remember, God's word does not fail. The enemy will bitterly resist you. He will concentrate all his forces against you in an intense warfare in his attempt to destroy you. If attacks against your spirit are successfully resisted, then assaults will come in your mind, body, family, or circumstances. You might as well get ready for them because they're coming.

11 2 The authority of the believer over Satan is a great fear to him. The spirit prayed through Paul that the eyes of people would be open, that they would know the full provision that has been made for them and their safety. People who endeavor to teach these truths are often attack by Satan and his evil forces. The devil will try to defeat you in any way that he can. The believer must be constantly arrayed with every kind of armor that the Bible provides. Ephesians 6:10 17 (KJV) says; 10 Finally, brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

12 3 There are several different parts of this armor and it symbolizes certain spiritual attitudes, which the believer must maintain. Wearing this armor, the believer is protected and unhampered in his ministry of authority. All he needs to be concerned about is that he keeps his armor bright and well secured about him. First, we have the girdle of truth, which represents a clear understanding of God's word. Like a soldier's belt, it holds the rest of the armor in place. Second, there is the breastplate of righteousness. It has a twofold application, for first of all Jesus is our righteousness. First of all, we put him on. It also indicates our active obedience to the word of God. Third, our feet are shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. This is a faithful ministry heralding the word of God. Fourth is the shield of faith. We know that a shield is a covering for the whole body. This indicates our complete safety and refuge under the blood of Calvary, where no power of the enemy can penetrate. Fifth, there is the helmet of salvation, which is referred to in 1 Thessalonians 5:8 (KJV), as the Hope of salvation. The hope of salvation is the only helmet that is able to protect the head in these days of turning from the truth.

13 4 Then finally, there is the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. This shows that the word of God is to be used in an active sense. The other weapons are more or less defensive ones. Ephesians 6:18 (KJV) reads, Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, ad watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. We are ready for the prayer fight, now because we have on the armor. Praying in the spirit gets the job done. 1 John 3:8 (KJV), He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Colossians 2:15 (KJV), And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Jesus victory was our victory. He did nothing for himself. He did it all for us. He defeated Satan for us. He spoiled his power for us. He destroyed his work for us. He conquered him for us. Satan who is totally defeated, tries to hold his master, the church, which is the body of Christ, in bondage. According to the New Testament, the church is given power and authority over an already defeated Satan. You don't have to let Satan rule and reign over you any longer. Confess that you are a victor. Arise from his bondage. Then you should be sure to hold fast to your confession

14 5 of faith without wavering. For he is faithful that promised Hebrews 10:23 (ASV). Maintain your confession of God's word. Every believer can become Satan's master. You don't have to wait, you can do it today. When Jesus arose from the dead, he left an eternally defeated Satan. Always think of Satan as an eternally defeated foe. Think of Satan as one over which Jesus and you in Jesus name have entire dominion and authority. The sicknesses and diseases of your body were laid on Jesus. You need never bear them again, because he has borne them for you. All you need to do is believe this and begin to confess it. Absolutely refuse to allow sickness to stay in your body, because you are healed with his [Jesus] stripes. If Christians would believe this, it would be the end of so-called chronic ailments in their bodies. Always remember: Satan is a deceiver, a liar, and a thief. Sickness, disease, and infirmities, all were laid on Jesus. He bore them. He carried them away, leaving us free and well and healthy. We should rejoice in the celebration of ours. Redemption has not become a reality to many. It has been only a theory, a doctrine, or a creed, Satan has taken advantage of this lack of understanding by God's children.

15 6 We are redeemed from all the power of Satan. That means we are brought back from the hand of the enemy. We are born again. We are a new creation. We are freed from the kingdom of darkness. We are no longer slaves of Satan. Sin and sickness no longer rule over us. You are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. How can you glorify God in your body when it is weakened by disease? It is just as impossible to glorify God properly in your body when it is full of sickness as it is to glorify God in your spirit when it's full of sin. Tell the devil, Satan you are a liar. I know I am redeemed, because I have accepted Jesus as my Redeemer. I am no longer dwelling on your territory and you have no legal right to trespass on my property. It is no longer yours, neither is it under your jurisdiction. I have been redeemed from your authority by the Lord Jesus Christ.

16 7 CHAPTER 10 YOU HAVE THE POWER John 10:10 (KJV), The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. Jesus said in Luke 10:19 (KJV), Behold I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. John 10:10 (KJV), I am come that they [God s children] might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. The enemy has been walking on us to long. It is generally thought that the devil is bigger than everybody, that he is running everything. He is the god of this world, but we are in this world, not of this world. Paul stated plainly in Romans 5:17 (KJV), For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. One translation says shall reign as kings in life through the one, Jesus Christ. Are you reigning as a king in this life? My bible says that we can. Are you living the abundant life, now? My bible says that you can.

17 8 The Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Luke 10:1 2 (KJV) 1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2 Therefore said he unto them, the harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Luke 10:8 9 (KJV) 8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: 9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. Luke 10:17 20 (KJV) 17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. Although the casting out of evil spirits and destroy the works of Satan is very important in our ministries, the

18 9 most important subject we as ministers is to deal with is winning the lost into the kingdom of God. We now know that beyond question, Satan is the author of sickness, disease, and pain and our Heavenly Father is the author of life and health. We now know that every Christian has power and authority over Satan, demons, and every evil spirit that Satan sends out. You need never fear Satan again or his evil spirits, he is totally powerless to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Every believer has authority over Satan, in Jesus name, if they only know it. Many Christians are defeated and allowing Satan to run over them because they've never understood that Satan is eternally defeated. SATIN Although Satan is the God of this world, 2 Corinthians 4:4, and he has many fearful and dreaded names, he is also the author of all our miseries and sorrows, our diseases and pains, of death itself. He is the king and ruler of all demon spirits. He rules the dark hosts of hell, yet Jesus defeated him and gave us power and authority over him and all of his hosts. He can only harm you if you don't know that he was eternally defeated and that you have power and authority over him. Once he knows that you know, that he is eternally defeated and that you have the power and authority over him, he will fear you and be afraid of you. You do not need to fear him! Some of Satan's names: the wicked one, enemy, the devil, accuser, accuser of the brethren, the adversary, and

19 10 is compared to a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. The Dragon, the old serpent which is the devil and Satan. A murderer, a liar and the father of lies. The tempter, the prince of devils, the prince of the power of air, the prince of this world, the corruptor of minds. Demons are evil spirits without bodies. They seek for a body to possess. Sense they have no bodies of their own, they must wander through the land seeking a body [Matthew 12:43] in which they can enter and find expression to carry out their evil mission. The human body has been created in the likeness of God; therefore, demons seek as their highest price to enter into a human body. But when they cannot find this most prized possession, then a body of an animal or something else will do. But they cannot rest without being in possession of somebody through which they can find expression. We can now understand why, when Jesus went to cast out the legion of demons from a maniac, the demons begged, saying, send this into the swine. And being cast out of the man, the demons entered the whole herd of swine and they all ran into the water and were drowned, see Mark 5:13. This story shows us how demons resist giving up their prize possession, the body in which they occupy. Luke 9:1 (NIV), He [Jesus] give them power and authority over Devils. In Mark 16:17 (KJV) Jesus said, In my name they shall cast out devils.

20 11 Another story that demonstrates the same thing is found in Matthew 12: Matthew 12:43 45 (KJV) 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. We see from this story that it s possible for demons to seek reinforcements and to reenter the person out of whom they have been cast. We can now see the importance of a person who the demon was cast out of too consecrate completely to Christ and to understand that they have been given power and authority over the evil spirits. Even though Satan may send legions of demons to attack you, when you understand that you have the power and authority to cast them out, you can easily defeat them because you have power and authority over all Devils. The Bible says, When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him Isaiah 59:19 (KJV).

21 12 I want you to understand about the devil and evil spirits but to not fear them because Jesus eternally defeated them and he gave to his children power and authority over them. Whether there is one demon, 10 demons, or a legion of spirits, they must all obey the command of the believer when it is given in Jesus name.

22 13 CHAPTER 11 SPIRITUAL WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING Colossians 1:9 (KJV) is almost unknown: that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. This is for us today, it belongs to us. The struggle for faith will have ended and our prayer life will be like the masters. See Colossians 1:9-12. Colossians 2:9 10 (ASV), 9- for in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily, 10- and in him ye are made full, who is the head of all principality and power. He is not only our fullness, but we are his fullness. The word fullness means completeness or perfection. We have received of that fullness. We need to understand and see what masters we are of demonic forces. They are beneath our feet. God always gives us the victory in Christ Jesus our Lord. This is the hallelujah chorus of the new covenant. And it never becomes real until we begin to confess it, begin to tell it to the world, what you are in Christ Jesus our Lord. Every believer must fully comprehend this and understand that Satan is eternally defeated and that every Christian has power and authority over him and all of his evil forces.

23 14 We speak wisdom, however, among them that are full grown: it is not a wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of his age who are dethroned, in their master and head Satan, see 1 Corinthians 2:6. This wisdom for the full-grown is something that we need to know about. Many of the believers in the church today are in their infancy, they maybe babies in Christ Jesus. Many of our leaders have never passed beyond that childhood stage. They are still dominated by the senses. God gave him to be the head over all things for the benefit of the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all, in all. We are that fullness of him. John 1:16 (KJV) reads, Of his fullness have we all received God put all things in subjection under our Lord's feet and it is sometimes difficult to fully comprehend it. He tells us that the same ability that was wrought in the dead body of Jesus when he raised him from the dead is at work within us. The same might, the same resurrection power that was wrought in the dead body of Jesus is ours today. But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwell within you, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall also quicken [make alive or strengthen] your mortal bodies Romans 8:11 (KJV). He also made him to sit at his right hand in the Heavenly's, far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. We must also understand and keep in mind that we were raised together

24 15 with him, and he made us to sit with him in the heavens; so representatively, we are seated on the throne of God with Jesus Christ. He is the head and we are the body. We are then members of the body of Christ. So if Christ the head is exalted, the body is exalted also with it. If he has been given all authority, that authority belongs to the church, his body. It is for the benefit of the church. If he conquered all the forces of darkness and left them paralyzed and broken before he rose from the dead, it is as though we had accomplished that mighty work. Hebrews 9:12 (KJV) tells us that this is an eternal redemption. Not just a redemption for the day in which we live or in which it was done, but that Satan is as much defeated today as he was when Christ arose from the dead; that he is just as subject to the name of Jesus as he was when Jesus conquered him himself. If we can fully understand [comprehend] that the Lord Jesus Christ defeated Satan as our substitute and that his defeat is eternal, our redemption then will become a reality. When we know that the Lord Jesus Christ, our substitute, is the one that defeated him and he set it to our credit so that in the records of the Supreme Court of the universe says that we are the masters of Satan, and that Satan knows that in the name of Jesus, we are his ruler, and when our hearts can know this completely and that it is an absolute fact, then our faith will rise up and great victory will be ours.

25 16 In the book of Ephesians, Paul prayed that our eyes may be opened and enlightened, and that we may know what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his ability on behalf of those who believe. It is reckoned to us and set to our credit. When we can fully comprehend this and take it in, our minds will become fruitful with this mighty unveiling of what we are in Christ today! The 22nd and 23rd versus of Ephesians 1 (ASV) say it so clearly: 22- And put all things in subjection under his feet, and he gave him to be head over all things for the benefit of the church, 23- which is his body, then all these wicked influences and demons are beneath our feet. We are the masters of them. The Lord did not defeat them for himself. He defeated them for us. He did not fight the battle for his glory, but for our good. Adam had sold us out but our Lord Jesus redeemed us, defeated our enemy, and put him beneath our feet. We must fully comprehend this and take it in and begin to act accordingly. Since knowledge has taken the church captive, bound our leaders and holds them captive, very little is known of spiritual wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. The sin consciousness that destroys our faith will disappear completely when we receive the exact and perfect knowledge of our redemption and our righteousness in Christ.

26 17 Paul says we must have this in order to walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the exact knowledge of God, made powerful with his ability, according to the might of his glory, and to all steadfastness and long-suffering with joy. What mighty men and women of God this would make us. We are to give thanks unto our heavenly Father who has given us the ability to enjoy our full share of the inheritance of the saints. We have now passed out of the childhood stage, into the full manhood and womanhood of Christ Jesus. What mighty men and women of God this will make us, when we know the reality of being delivered out of the authority of darkness, and translated into the kingdom of the son of his love; in whom we have our redemption and the remission of our trespasses. You have now been delivered out of the authority of Satan. Satan has no authority or legal right to reign over you. You are the absolute master of Satan's forces in the name of Jesus Christ. It's important that you see that you hold exactly the same position that Paul held, and you have a right to do as is recorded in Colossians 1:28 (ASV), admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ. This is speaking here of the new creation man.

27 18 This is talking about all born-again new creation believers we have become masters over Satan. We are overcomers. We reign with Christ. I hope you can see that with this life and with the power and authority over Satan that has been given to us in the name of Jesus that your prayer life should shake the very thrones of darkness and completely destroy the works of Satan, think of Satan and his evil forces as being beneath your feet, conquered, defeated. Take your place as an heir and a joint heir with Jesus Christ.

29 20 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. The wicked forces of evil are out to destroy as many individuals as they possibly can. John 10:10 (KJV), The thief [Satan] cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I [our Lord Jesus Christ] am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. There are two great powers that are engaged in a lifeand-death struggle over human beings. Our Lord Jesus Christ and Satan. 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV), Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 John 3:8 (KJV), He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. SATAN AND HIS EVIL FORCES Satan is the god of this world. He is the prince of nations. He is the author of all our miseries and sorrows, of our diseases and pains, of death itself. He is the king and ruler of all demon spirits. He rules the dark host of hell. See 2 Corinthians 4:4.

30 21 Satan's main purpose and desire is to destroy human life and to bring sorrow to the heart of God our heavenly Father. His names tell you a lot about him. He is called the wicked one. He is called the enemy, and the devil. Devil means accuser-defamer or accuser of the believers. He is called the adversary and is compared to a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. He is described by a group of names almost too hideous to contemplate; the Dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan. He is called by Jesus a murder, a liar and the father of lies. He is called the tempter, the prince of devils, the Prince of the powers of the air. The prince of this world, the corrupter of minds. DEMONS Human spirits are from God, and we live in a body. Demon spirits are from Satan and they have no body in which to dwell or express themselves. Demons can be wicked, hateful and destructive. They have personalities like humans but they need and desire a body to dwell in. My body is simply the house my spirit lives in. Someday my body will die and return to the dust, but I [my spirit] shall never die. I shall return to God from where I came. Demons long to find expression, but cannot do so until they are in possession of a body. Since Demons have no bodies of their own, they must wander through the land seeking a body in which they can enter and find expression to carry out their mission of evil

Their greatest power is to defile, to destroy, and to abuse people through other human beings. God also uses humans to spread his gospel and his message of love, to bless, to inspire, to encourage, and to lift those who need his divine help. His message of good news must be reported by human lips. God uses human instruments to minister to the human family likewise; Satan uses human instruments to destroy the human family. The human body has the broadest means of expression, having been the only creation made in the likeness of God; demons therefore seek as their highest prize to enter into human beings. However when they cannot find the most prized possession, then a body of lesser expression will do. However, one thing is certain, they cannot rest without

32 23 being in possession of some body through which they can find expression. Mark 5:2 13 (KJV) 2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: 4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. 6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, 7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, what have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. 8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. 9 And he asked him, what is thy name? And he answered, saying, my name is Legion: for we are many. 10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. 11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. 12 And all the devils besought him, saying; send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

33 24 13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand) and were choked in the sea.

34 25 CHAPTER 13 GOD S WORD DEFEATS SATAN 1 John 3:8 (ASV), He that doeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinned from the beginning. To this end was the Son of Man manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Jesus did his part of destroying the works of the devil. After he left the Earth, he sent the Holy Spirit, and gave us the use of his own name and this wonderful revelation, the New Testament, that we, his representatives here on the Earth, might go on destroying the works of the devil. The sin, the sickness, and the disease that is in the church today are there because of our not taking our place in Christ. They are prevalent in the church today because we have never exercised and became experienced in the work that Jesus said we were to do. Do you think he would have given us John 14:12 14 (ASV) if we were not to use it? 12- Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto the Father. He meant that we would do greater works than he did because there are a greater number of us.

35 26 Our work is that of destroying the works of the adversary, Satan. The weapon we are to use is found in John 14 (KJV), the 13th and 14th verses, 13- And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14- If you ask anything in my name that will I do. The word ask here means to demand. His name is to be used in the sense that we see it used in Acts chapter 3, by Peter who spoke to the impotent man at the gate of the temple saying, In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk. This is not prayer. This is casting out demons in that name. There is healing for the sick in that name. There is power to break disease and sickness in the hearts and lives of men in that name. Can that name of Jesus keep us from sickness? Can it keep us from want? Can it keep us from poverty, fear, and the dread of hunger and cold? These signs shall accompany them that believe; in my name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. In the early church, it was utterly independent of circumstances. It didn't mean the whole church. It meant the apostles who understood fully the use of the name of Jesus. Men could be sick then by broken fellowship and because of a lack of knowledge, just as they can be today. The early church, that is the Gentile portion of it, had never had any revelation from God. It was utterly new raw

36 27 material. The Jews were in worse condition. They were covenant breakers, as the modern churches are today. The most difficult to deal with today are the most religious. If there was sickness in the early church, it was to be expected, because they had no precedent, no example ahead of them. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. We are his instrument to do his work. We are to destroy sickness in the church. Our new slogan is: no more sickness in the body of Christ. His word is to become a reality in the lives of man. The fact that he bore our sins and took sin away by the sacrifice of himself, and that he made provision for the remission of all we have ever done or said, proves that we should not be sick or in bondage to sin. He made the sacrifice for sin, the things we have done as a result of the sin nature. The new birth wipes out everything we have ever done. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ASV), Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation: the old things are passed away, behold, they are become new. Romans 8:1 (ASV) becomes a reality. There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. The people who are in Christ Jesus are sin free, disease-free, condemnation free.

37 28 Let us then arise, take our place, and go out and carry this message of deliverance and victory to others. It is very important that we grasp clearly 1 John 5:13 (ASV), These things have I written unto you, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, even unto you that believe on the name of the son of God. We have God s nature, which gives us a perfect fellowship with the Father, a perfect right to use his name, a perfect deliverance, and freedom from Satan's dominion. 2 Peter 1:4 (ASV), Wherefore he hath granted unto us his precious and exceeding great promises; that through these ye might become partakers of His Divine Nature... John 14:14 (ASV), If ye shall ask anything in my name that will I do. Romans 6:14 (ASV), For sin shall not have dominion over you If sin cannot lord it over you, disease cannot lorded over you, because they come from the same source. The nature and life of God that have come into you will give you life and health. Psalm 91:16 (ASV) With long-life I will satisfy him, and show him my salvation. We all admit that the 91st Psalm belongs to the church. It could not apply to the Jews, but it does apply to us.

38 29 Psalm 91:4 7 (KJV), 4- He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5- Thou shall not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6- nor for the pestilence that walk in darkness, nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7- A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. There is protection from earthquakes, cyclones, from pestilence, from sickness, and much more. The life in the vine is in the branch. As soon as the branch is wounded, the vine pours life into the wounded branch so it can go on and bear fruit. So, the life of God pours into the body of Christ and he pours life into the church members with sickness, disease, and want, so they can go on and bear fruit to the glory of God. These things put us into the realm of the supernatural. We are linked up with Christ because he said, I am the vine, and ye are the branches John 15:5 (KJV).
