[ 2 John 1.8 NKJV ] Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. God is GREAT REWARDER and LOVES TO REWARD His people!...paper with over 30 verses that speak of God being a Rewarder!!! BUT... we are warned that we could loose our Full Reward - FULL / PARTIAL / NO... Reward - God wants us Finish Well so we may have Full Reward We have been studying HONOR s REWARD HONOR Valuing something valuable, precious, weighty....such as gold, don t put gold in a junk drawer Appreciation Esteem Respect - The antonym of honor is DISHONOR - Not to show respect / don t value (gift) / treat as common, ordinary, or menial

2 - Jesus was dishonored in His hometown... Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief. Matt God Honors Those Who Honor Him 2 [ 1 Samuel 2.30 NLT ] Therefore, the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I promised that your branch of the tribe of Levi would always be my priests. But I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me. - God has set up His Spiritual Law of HONOR When we Honor... God / His Word / Commands...we can then expect to be honored Today.. Talk about honoring AUTHORITY...God wants His people to Honor Authority - Webster Dictionary (1828 version): HONOR: to revere, respect; to treat with difference and submission, and perform relative duties to. - When the rest of the world withholds Honor... God wants us to Give Honor! - It s easy to have low regard of authority in today s society... But your s and my heart must be established in Truth! [ Romans NLT ] 1 Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. 2 So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. - Not Suggestion... COMMAND - These refer to Civil Governments... Not only government leaders but Delegated Authority

3 3 Bible speaks of 4 divisions of Delegated Authority #1 CIVIL AUTHORITY [ Romans AMP ] For this same reason you pay taxes, for civil authorities are God s servants, devoting themselves to governance. 7 Pay to all what is due: tax to whom tax is due, customs to whom customs, respect to whom respect, honor to whom honor. - Honor them... we Honor God! #2 SOCIAL AUTHORITY [ 1 Timothy 6.1 ASV ] Let as many as are servants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine be not blasphemed. - Today this would read... Let as many as are employees under hire count their employers or bosses worthy of all honor. - Let as many as are students under education count their teachers worthy of honor. - Athletes... #3 FAMILY AUTHORITY [ Ephesians NKJV ] Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise: 3 that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth. Amplified Version...[ Ephesians AMP ] Honor [esteem, value as precious] your father and your mother [and be respectful to them] this is the first commandment with a promise 3 so that it may be well with you, and that you may have a long life on the earth. - The Reward is Long Life - To receive that reward, we must give Honor to those who raise us. #4 CHURCH AUTHORITY [ 1 Thessalonians NKJV ] Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. 13 Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other.

4 GOD TELLS US TO HONOR EACH AREA OF DELEGATED AUTHORITY... In doing so we HONOR God! GOD IS THE ONE WHO ORDAINS ALL AUTHORITY 4 [ Romans 13.1 NLT ] 1 Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. - The Greek word used is tasso : to assign / ordain / set God is in Control!! - Not Elected... ORDAINED by God - The WEST has most difficulty with KINGDOM Principals... Because we have a democratic mindset - If we relate everything to God with a democratic mindset... We will not connect with Him ALL LEGITIMATE AUTHORITY IS FROM GOD - When we oppose God s ordained Authority... We oppose Him!!! I remember when Bill Clinton & Barack Obama became president... - Depressed!! - Very critical What does God s say to do??? [ Romans NLT ] 1 Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. PRAY FOR LEADERS - Revering - Pray for Wisdom

5 - Pray for Salvation - Pray Protection Play music... 5 What about very wicked and harsh Authority?? - Did God appoint them?? - Are we to Submit to them?? - TRUE... There are wicked authorities Bible say... All authority is from God.. but not all authority is godly - There has been many Ungodly Authorities in Bible - Pharaoh... Cruelly treated Jews / Killed their babies - Where did he get authority??? But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up... Exodus 9.16 / Romans Nebuchadnezzar... Destroyed Judah / Plundered temple and homes - So disobedient to God... became madman I will certainly bring my servant Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, here to Egypt. I will set his throne over these stones that I have hidden. Jeremiah King Saul... Who hunted David 14 yrs / Ordered killed 85 Priest I regret that I made Saul king, for he has turned away from following Me and has not carried out My commands. GOD set up... every one of these Rulers...Not the people!
