3 Thank you for choosing to be our CCL Prayer Ambassador/Leader for the 12 O clock Prayer for a Godly Nation (12PGN)! We are very happy and encouraged by your decision to be our volunteer and to take action by conducting 12PGN activity in your home, school, place of work, church, and in other places where people can pray. Through your valuable help, you will be promoting God s activity for our nation. This Activity Guide will provide you with all of the information you need to plan an interesting and successful event. CCL is the longest running prayer fellowship group in the country. CCL was organized in 1968, by Constitutional Convention Commissioner Dr. Greg Tingson (Known as the Billy Graham of the Philippines) and Governor Leon O. Ty. With varied membership represented by government officials, professionals, religious and business leaders, meeting for truth and faith in Christ and invoking God s grace to all. CCL Baguio - Benguet Chapter was launched last June 21, We meet regularly every 1 st & 3 rd Thursday of the month in selected venues in Baguio City, at 7:30 AM. Capitol Christian Leadership Forum (Breakfast Prayer Fellowship) presents an Address Speaker and a Spiritual Guideline Speaker followed by time of prayer for our city, country and other issues at hand. 3

4 INTRODUCTION Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice. Psalm 55:17 We in CCL believe that unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it ; (Psalm 127:1a). Let us therefore ask the Lord in earnest prayer to be the one to build our nation according to His will and purpose. Prayer is one of the most important works we do in CCL. This prayer initiative the 12 O clock prayer shall be the clarion call for our countrymen to participate in building a godly nation. PURPOSE: To prepare the hearts of our countrymen for God s activity in building a Godly nation. To watch and pray for our leaders in government, business, religion & other sectors. To promote a united voice among prayer leaders in the country. To enlist prayer warriors in cities & municipalities in preparation for the 12PGN RALLY on December 12, 2012 in Baguio City. Also for the Congress for Building a Godly Nation on October To promote and perpetuate prayer as part of the nation s way of life. The 12 O clock Prayer for a Godly Nation (12PGN) is Capitol Christian Leadership (CCL) initiative and is an integral part of CCL movement for building a godly nation program. This initiative is spearheaded by CCL of Baguio-Benguet who shall also host the first Congress for Building a Godly Nation on October 2013 in Baguio City. ABOUT THE ACTIVITY The 12PGN activity mobilizes our present CCL memberships, sympathizers, supporters, partners and all those wanting to take part in this prayer activity. We encourage everyone to participate in the 12PGN. Through your role as Prayer Ambassador/Leader, we believe that many would be inspired and challenged to pray for a godly nation. 4

5 ACTIVITY CHECKLIST: Choose a date and time for your prayer activity Fill out the Materials Request Form (2 weeks before your planned prayer event). Secure or book a location/ venue and hosting party Pelase (home, school, work place, church, etc.) Make your invite list (Guests and Speakers) Send out invitations and promote your prayer activity Finalize your 12PGN Program If possible have some food items donated for snacks or refreshments. (optional) Equipments if possible for documentation. The 12PGN Activity is a gathering of people (small or big group) where they come to learn about our organization and the 12PGN initiative. Organizing and hosting this activity is easy and effective to achieve our purpose for the nation. The activity includes discussion about issues in our city or country that we can pray for. A simple program is included in this guide as a sample that you can use. This is also an ideal place to ask for voluntary contribution for this project. Prayer verses from the Bible is also included here for you to use. The CCL Prayer Ambassador/Leader Role CCL will provide you with a variety of materials, as outlined in this Implementation Guide, for your activity. As the organizer/host, you will help plan the activity and provide a comfortable venue for the event and your guests. As CCL Prayer Ambassador/Leader you will share your prayer experience with your community and describe why you support the 12 O clock Prayer for a Godly nation. A time of PRAYER will be the main focus of the event. You or someone from your team may also present the challenge to support by donating to the 12PGN. You shall also be available and ready to answer questions about CCL and the 12 O clock Prayer for a Godly Nation project (you don t have to know everything, though). After the activity you will collect the sign up forms and the donations to be turned over to CCL for proper recording. If you have food donated for refreshment you may end the activity by having some snacks served and to enjoy some time of fellowship. GETTING STARTED It is very important to bathe your planned activity in prayer. Your preparations should consider the items listed in the activity checklist to assure success of your prayer event. The following steps will guide you in your volunteer work as CCL Prayer Ambassador/ Leader: STEP 1: CHOOSE A DATE & TIME Choose a date and time most convenient for you and your guests. This may not be a main issue however, if your hosting party will host the activity in their; home, school, church or place of work. But for your organized prayer event, you must choose a date and time convenient for all. Consider also the location/venue where you will hold the prayer activity. It must be centrally located which is in the public transport route for easy commute. 5

6 STEP 2: SECURE/BOOK A LOCATION OR VENUE Once you have decided to organize your prayer activity, the first thing you should consider together with the date is the venue. It is always best to secure the venue once you have firmed up the event date and time. If you re considering a big prayer event (for 100 or more people) be sure that the venue can accommodate your number of guests comfortably. Check the most ideal set up for your event (theater sitting arrangement, conference type, etc.). Always remember that you do not have to rent out a venue. There are public places that you can utilize free by requesting from your public local officials, churches, offices, etc. You just have to be resourceful to locate an ideal venue. STEP 3: REQUEST MATERIALS FROM CCL CCL Materials to be used for the prayer activity must be requested 2 weeks before your event. We prefer to send soft copies as this is the cheapest and quickest to send out, especially for those requesting outside of Baguio City (you will just have to have it printed yourself). You may request online at our websites and soft copies of the materials shall be ed to you the soonest. For hard copy materials, you may get them during our CCL Leaders Forum in Baguio City. Prayer Verses (Scriptures) 8. 12PGN Activity Report Form STEP 4: PREPARE THE PROGRAM & BOOK YOUR SPEAKERS It is important to draft the event program early on so that you can book your prospective speakers ahead of time. The suggested or sample 12PGN Program is included here for your reference. We have two (2) suggested programs that you can use; the 30 Minutes and 1Hour program, depending on your type of activity. Do your best to make the program a real blessing for everybody. Keep your guests or those who attended challenged to continue praying for a godly nation even after the program. Don t forget to thank everybody especially all those who provided help. We hope and pray for your successful prayer activity. 6

7 THE INVITATIONS After your getting started, you may now create and send out invitations. You will also consider who to invite in your prayer activity. Make an estimate of your attendees and check the capacity of your venue. If your venue is in a local church, you would already have an idea by asking, as to how many attend the regular worship services. Your invitees may include family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, parents, and people you interact with. You may also extend your invitations to their friends and associates. Remember that not everyone you invited will attend. Just pray for the Lord to bless your activity with good number of attendance. The invitation should include the following details: The date and time of your prayer activity Location and directions on how to get to the venue You and your contact person or host s name, cell phone, and address You should also clearly state the purpose of the event and your call to action (state also if you are going to ask for voluntary donation) That the invitation may be extended to their friends and associates. The sample or suggested invitation is included here for your easy reference. You may do the necessary changes that may suite your prayer activity. Once you finalized the invitation, you may re-produce them by photo-copying or by rizzograph. If you re doing the event in offices or schools, be very sure that you first ask permission from the highest decision making officer. Once permission is granted, you may now distribute your invitations. PROMOTING THE PRAYER ACTIVITY After completing the preliminaries (Date/time/venue, etc.), you may now begin promoting your prayer activity. You may use the following promotional vehicle: your contacts and send them copy of your invitation/ flyer (softcopy). Have your prayer activity go viral, like in facebook or other social networking site. Distribute your invitation/flyer in public places. Ask your local paper to include you activity invitation in their publication. In church, you can ask for a brief presentation or ask the pastor to read your invitation. Be sure to ask for your invitation/flyer to be posted on bulletin board. If its possible, have your prayer activity be aired on radio. Promotional work is simply talking about your activity or event, and having the public know about it. It s like advertising your product or services. The more people know about your activity and how they can participate, the more you have a good chance for them to join you. Be passionate about your prayer activity share it every time you have the chance. The Lord surely will bless your effort. The promotional materials you may need are also included in this guide. 7

Your prayer activity program should also be smooth, enjoyable, and God honoring. Having a well thought of program for your prayer activity would surely result to an orderly execution of your 12PGN activity. 9 For big or large meetings, you can prepare a longer program. You have to bear in mind though that the main focus of the program is to PRAY. We have to be cautious that a longer program with many speakers may end up not as a prayer event but a conference or the like. The longer the program should mean the longer time to pray. THE PRAYER ACTIVITY DETAILS As soon as you get confirmation from your contacts to hold 12PGN prayer activity in their location, you should consider preparing the following: MUSIC - will you be needing some music as background during prayer time 12PGN FLYER to hand out during or after the prayer activity PRAYER TIME how will you conduct the prayer time DOCUMENTATION be sure to get pictures or video of the event SEATING do you have enough chair for your guests ASSISTANT you may need one to help you implement the activity SPEAKER confirm with your speaker the time limit allocated for him/her to talk It is advisable to check details of your prayer activity periodically before the event. This will help you find out if you have neglected something. Pour out Your Spirit upon them and make Your Word known to them. Cause them to be men and women of integrity, obedient concerning us, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, in all godliness and honesty. Let wisdom enter their hearts, and let knowledge be pleasant to them. Let discretion preserve them and understanding keep them, to deliver them from the way of evil and from evil men. Make their hearts and ears attentive to godly counsel, doing what is right in your sight. Let the upright dwell in our government. Cause there to be a shaking in all areas. Let those complete and blameless before You stay. and cut off the wicked. Let the unfaithful be rooted out. Bring to light what is hidden in darkness, and expose the secret aims of the hearts. Let this nation remember from where they have fallen, repenting, and returning to doing their first works, setting their hearts and their souls to seek the Lord, humbling themselves, praying, and turning from their wicked ways. Then hear them, O Lord, and forgive their sins and heal our land. Open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light. Soften the hearts that are hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Deliver them from their destructions. Father, You have been longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Raise up a standard in this nation. Cause the rains of Your Spirit to flood this land and revive Your work in the midst of us. Raise up intercessors for this nation to pull down strongholds over this land.
