2 ISRAEL TOUR 2019 ITINERARY HOSTED BY: DR. RODERICK LOGAN & RABBI ROBERT GORELIK May 24 (Fri.) - DAY 1: We leave the States for a journey to the land where the Bible will unfold before our eyes. We will walk, see, feel and touch the roots of our faith, encounter the divine and sense His Presence. May 25 (Sat.) DAY 2: Flying over the ocean, we reach the shores of God s land. Upon our arrival to the Ben Gurion airport we will be met by our guide and transferred to our hotel on the coast of the Mediterranean, for a wonderful buffet dinner and a good night s rest. May 26 (Sun.) - DAY 3: COASTAL PLAIN After a rich Israeli breakfast, we will begin our tour of Israel at Joppa (Jaffa), the small town where Jonah tried to flee God s Presence (Jonah 1) and Peter was staying when he was asked by the men sent by Cornelius the Centurion to come speak to his family at Caesarea. Cornelius is the first Gentile (that we know by name) to come to Yeshua (Acts 10). We will continue to Caesarea, city of Cornelius the Centurion, the first Gentile to convert (Acts 10). We will visit the Roman theatre, walk on the pier used by the apostle Paul on his way to Rome and see the impressive water aqueduct built by Herod the Great. Leaving the Mediterranean, we will travel north to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah held the contest with 450 prophets of Baal (I Kings 18). At noon, a memorable experience is awaiting for us, as we stop for a typical Falafel Meal at the Druze village of Daliat El-Carmel. We will drive through Nazareth, where Yeshua spent most of His life, make a stop at Mt. of Precipice (Luke 4) for a wondrous view of Nazareth and the Valley of Armageddon. (cont)

STEPHEN'S GATE AND COME TO THE POOL OF BETHESDA, WHERE YESHUA HEALED THE LAME MAN (Day 3 cont) On the way to our hotel, we will drive by Cana of Galilee where Yeshua performed His first miracle at the wedding feast (John 2). We will spend the evening in the beautiful region of Galilee. May 27 (Mon.) - DAY 4: AREA OF THE TRIBE OF DAN Today is dedicated to the spectacular northern part of Israel. Following the accounts described in the Gospel of Luke chapter 9, we will drive through the Hula Valley. Overlooking the magnificent Mt. Hermon, where the miracle of Transfiguration occurred, we will reach Dan Nature Reserve. After a refreshing walk through the beautiful reserve and a taste from the cool water, we will see Jeroboam's Altar (I Kings 12). We will also see a city gate from the time of Abraham the Patriarch and learn about the importance of the gate in the social life of the city in the Biblical times. We will also visit Banias, one of the headwaters of the Jordan River and site of Caesarea Philippi, where Peter confessed Yeshua as the Messiah. The Golan Heights with its lush lands are well known for its wonderful wine industry. At noontime, we will make a stop in one of Israel's famous wineries, before we continue to Capernaum, where Yeshua taught in the synagogue and spent much of His ministry (Matthew 4). May 28 (Tue.) - DAY 5: AROUND THE SEA OF GALILEE Today we will be visiting the places where Yeshua spent most of his public life. Using a replica of the wooden fishing boat from the disciples time, we will sail on the Sea of Galilee and recall Yeshua s experiences with the fishermen. Back on land, we will visit Magdala. Here we will view remains of the synagogue and town of Mary Magdalen and recall Yeshua's teachings throughout the Galilee (Mathew 4). Driving around the lake we will visit Tabgha place of the feeding of the 5,000 (Matthew 14). In the afternoon, we will visit Sephoris (Tzipori), the capital of the Galilee in Second Temple period, and view some of the most impressive mosaics discovered in the land. Finally, at Megiddo we will view the excavations of 21 superimposed cities, the remains from Solomon's days (I Kings 9). May 29 (Wed.) - DAY 6: THE JORDAN VALLEY Before leaving the beautiful Galilee area, we will climb Mt. Arbel, for a breathtaking view of the entire Sea of Galilee and the region surrounding it. Driving by Mt. Gilboah, where King Saul fell on his sword and found his death (I Samuel 31), we will reach the ancient Beit Alpha synagogue, where a spectacular mosaic floor depicting the Ark of the Covenant, the Zodiac and the offering of Isaac, tells us the story of Jewish life in the Galilee. Driving down the Jordan Valley we will arrive at Beth Shean (I Sam. 31), a Decapolis Capital mentioned in the Gospels. Here, we will walk on the ancient streets, view the Roman steam baths, the theatre, coliseum, market and temples. Early afternoon, a nice ride along the Dead Sea will bring us to our hotel, located in the lowest place in the world, 1300 ft. below sea level! We will enjoy the rest of the day swimming in the Dead Sea. Those who wish will be able to enjoy the hotel s SPA as well. WE WILL LEAVE JERUSALEM AND DRIVE TO THE ELLAH VALLEY, WHERE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PICK UP YOUR OWN STONE FROM THE BROOK WHERE DAVID SLEW GOLIATH

4 WE WILL WALK DOWN THE PALM SUNDAY ROAD TO THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE, THE SITE OF YESHUA S BETRAYAL May 30 (Thur.) - DAY 7: THE WILDERNESS -ENTERING JERUSALEM Our first stop will be at Masada. Using a cable car, we will reach Herod's magnificent fortress, site of the Zealots' stand against Rome. Well preserved storehouses, cisterns and palaces will be among the features to visit. Here we will discuss the enormous role that Herod the Great played in the life of Israel. Our next stop will be at Ein Gedi, where David wrote some of his beautiful psalms. After a short hike, we will reach the waterfall where David cut off Saul's skirt (I Samuel 24). We will also make a stop at the Baptismal Site on the Jordan River. Located across from Jericho, the oldest city in the world and a beautiful oasis (Joshua 3), it is believed to be the traditional site where Yeshua was baptized by John (Mathew 3:13). Then, crossing part of the Wilderness of Judea, we will become acquainted with the Bedouin life and start ascending to the Golden City of the Mighty King: JERUSALEM. We end at the Mt. of Olives with a magnificent overview of Jerusalem and an explanation of its history. We will then walk down the Palm Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane, the site of Yeshua s betrayal (Luke 22). how archeology and the Bible interact in understanding the past. The second half of the day will be free. You may want to use this time to revisit a certain site, to stroll on your own or to do some shopping. At the end of the day, right before the sunsets down, we will make a stop at the Western Wall to receive the Sabbath in the most glorious way possible. June 1 (Sat.) - DAY 9: ISRAEL MUSEUM - BETHLEHEM We will spend most of the morning at the Israel Museum. Here we will have a chance to visit the Model of Jerusalem during Yeshua s time to obtain an excellent perspective of the city. We will visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed, and view the ossuary of Caiphas and Pontius Pilatus stone. In the afternoon, we will visit the pastoral Shepherds Fields outside Bethlehem, where David raised his sheep and where the Good News about Yeshua s birth was received (Luke 2). Back in Jerusalem, the rest of the day will be free. This will allow us to rest and absorb in much of the information we have come to obtain. You may want to re-visit a certain site, to stroll on your own or to do some shopping. May 31 (Fri.) - DAY 8: CITY OF DAVID We begin the day visiting the City of David, Hezekiah's Tunnel and the Pool of Siloam, where Yeshua healed the blind man, (John 9). We will also get a chance to participate in the sifting project of reveling the past, as we assist archeologists in the removal and sorting of rubble taken from the Temple Mount, and learn

BUILT IN THE 18TH CENTURY AND DESTROYED IN 1948 June 2 (Sun.) - DAY 10: THE ELLAH VALLEY We will leave Jerusalem and drive to the Ellah Valley, where you will be able to pick up your own stone from the brook where David slew Goliath (I Samuel 17). Using the Old Gaza Road, which Philip rode with the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8) we will reach Tel Maresha, holding outstanding remains from the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine days. We will also visit the Bells Caves, ancient quarries from which material was extracted for the production of cement 2000 years ago!!! Then we will get a chance to leave our mark in God s land, as we plant a tree in one of Israel s beautiful forests. Finally, we will enjoy another of Israel's wonderful wineries, located in the area of Beit Shemesh, city of Samson and Delilah (Judges 13), before returning to Jerusalem. Western Wall, to get a better understanding of how the impressive complex of the Temple Mount was constructed. Towards the end of the day, we will walk through the Cardo and Hezekiahs Wall, towards the Arab Market and bazaar and leave the Old City through the Jaffa Gate. June 4 (Tue.) - DAY 12: THE LAST WEEK OF YESHUA'S EARTHLY MINISTRY We begin our last tour day in the city by retracing Yeshua s last steps in Jerusalem. First, we visit the Temple Mount and the impressive Dome of the Rock. We enter St. Stephen's Gate and come to the Pool of Bethesda, where Yeshua healed the lame man (John 5). Then, we will view the remains of the Antonia Fortress, the site of Yeshua s trial (Mathew 27), and walk through the Damascus Gate to the Garden Tomb, the site of Yeshua s burial and resurrection. June 5 (Wed.) - DAY 13: After fulfilling a lifetime dream of seeing, touching and breathing the very places we have only read about until now. Arriving home our Bible will never be the same, for it will be alive in June 3 (Mon.) - DAY 11: THE OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM After a quiet moment of prayer at the Western Wall, while we enjoy the many Bar- Mitzvah s taking place here on Mondays, we will visit the Ophel digs. We will walk on the First-century Street, used by pilgrims for centuries, while viewing the remains of the Temple and the steps used by Yeshua when ascending to it (Luke 19, Matthew 21). We will continue to the Jewish Quarter. We will visit the newly renovated Hachurvah Synagogue. Built in the 18th century and destroyed in 1948, it is considered the most important and most beautiful synagogue in the Old City. We will visit the impressive Western Wall Tunnel, running along the continuation of the
