1 THE WORD TIME OR TIMES 2520 YEARS PROPHECY EXAMINED By Calvin Mariano Introduction: The chart used in 1843 has mistakes that God covered, then reveals afterward what is correct. It is our duty to find out what it is. September 23, the Lord showed me that He had stretched out His hand the second time to recover the remnant of His people, [SEE PAGE 86.] and that efforts must be redoubled in this gathering time. In the scattering, Israel was smitten and torn, but now in the gathering time God will heal and bind up His people. In the scattering, efforts made to spread the truth had but little effect, accomplished but little or nothing; but in the gathering, when God has set His hand to gather His people, efforts to spread the truth will have their designed effect. All should be united and zealous in the work. I saw that it was wrong for any to refer to the scattering for examples to govern us now in the gathering; for if God should do no more for us now than He did then, Israel would never be gathered. I have seen that the 1843 chart was directed by the hand of the Lord, and that it should not be altered; that the figures were as He wanted them; that His hand was over and hid a mistake in some of the figures, so that none could see it, until His hand was removed. [THIS APPLIES TO THE CHART USED DURING THE 1843 MOVEMENT, AND HAS SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE CALCULATION OF THE PROPHETIC PERIODS AS IT APPEARED ON THAT CHART. THE NEXT SENTENCE EXPLAINS THAT THERE WAS AN INACCURACY WHICH IN THE PROVIDENCE OF GOD WAS SUFFERED TO EXIST. BUT THIS DOES NOT PRECLUDE THE PUBLICATION OF A CHART SUBSEQUENTLY WHICH WOULD CORRECT THE MISTAKE, AFTER THE 1843 MOVEMENT WAS PAST, AND THE CALCULATION AS THEN MADE HAD SERVED ITS PURPOSE.] {EW 74.1} Does the word time in Leviticus 26 should mean a year which could have prophetic significance? By analyzing different verses which uses the word time or times with different contexts and compared it to the verses that uses the word time in prophetic context it fails to give a hint that it means a prophetic year or 360 days but rather this chapter is speaking of the intensity, on how many folds of the punishment rather than foretelling of how many years of punishing. 1. Times which mean folds A supplied word which does not exist in Original language or text in Leviticus 26 (compared to Daniel 3:19 and Genesis 27:36). H7655 שבעה shib ah

H7651 שבעה שבע sheba shib ah sheh'-bah, shib-aw' From H7650; a primitive cardinal number; seven (as the sacred full one); also (adverbially) seven times; by implication a week; by extension an indefinite number: - (+ by) seven ([-fold], -s, [-teen, -teenth], -th, times). Compare H7658. Lev 26:18 I will punish you seven times more for your sins. Lev 26:21 I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. H2403 Note: Strong s definition for H7651, the implication as a week I couldn t find this implication as true or being used in the Old Testament for just by the word itself. The context must determine the use of number seven In Leviticus 26 seven does not imply a season but of intensity of punishment to achieve justice. H7655 in Daniel 3:19 gives the correct understanding; Seven times in this case means seven fold and not seven years (prophetic years). 9 The Leviticus 26 time or times as the seven time has never been intended to be a time element as of year or years in nature and be used as prophetic time. It rather implies intensity (folds) of just punishment to the sins if committed.
