Joh 6:48 I am that bread of life. Man Shall Live by All the Words of God by Victor Torres Joh 6:49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. Joh 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. Joh 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. Joh 6:52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Joh 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. Joh 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. Joh 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. Joh 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. Joh 6:58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. Joh 6:59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. Joh 6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? Joh 6:61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? Joh 6:62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Joh 6:64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. Joh 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. Joh 6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. The words of our Lord are spirit and are life. This means there is a spiritual meaning behind every story and every verse in the Bible. But this is a hard saying for most people for they can t see the spirit behind the letters. The end result of misunderstanding the spiritual words of God is to stop walking with him, regardless of whether we know it or not. Mat 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. Mat 4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. Mat 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 is repeated in Luk 4:4. Luk 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Luk 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. Luk 4:3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. Luk 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. The title of this study is taken from Luke 4:4. If we looked at how the holy spirit has inspired the use of the Greek word translated every, it would be abundantly clear to us that the verse indeed say that mankind...[shall live] by all the words of God. Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: God indeed works all things after the counsel of his own will, with no exceptions. Mat 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: Everything that Jesus spoke to the multitude are parables, no exceptions, without a parable spake he not unto them. Mar 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: Even all of His actions are parables to those He has not given the keys or principles to understand them, with no exceptions. 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,

for correction, for instruction in righteousness: All scripture are profitable for doctrine...for correction, for instruction in righteousness. exceptions. With no Joh 9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. Joh 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Joh 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. Joh 9:6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, Joh 9:7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. The healing of the blind man here happened in two steps, first the Lord formed clay using saliva and dirt. His saliva of course represents His words, but it is still mixed with earthly understanding, so He told the man to wash in the pool of Siloam, which means sent. The Greek word translated sent is apostello. ἀποστέλλω apostellō ap-os-tel'-lo From G575 and G4724; set apart, that is, (by implication) to send out (properly on a mission) literally or figuratively: - put in, send (away, forth, out), set [at liberty]. We first start with carnal understanding before someone is sent to us to reveal the mysteries or secrets of the kingdom of God. Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent [apostello]? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Rom 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? Here we see our Lord healing a man with leprosy. Mar 1:40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. Mar 1:41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched

him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. Mar 1:42 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. The word leprosy comes from the word white. There is a positive and negative meaning of this word, but to see what spiritual leprosy mean, here s an excerpt from a study: That is the negative side of the word white, which is likened to spiritual leprosy which is walking by the flesh and not by faith. The priests of the Lord examine themselves and the brethren for this disease which is identified by white lesions (Lev 13:3-6). Our adversary, the devil, is clever in transforming himself into this white appearing being. 2Co 11:12 And I will continue doing what I am doing now, because I want to stop those people from having a reason to boast. They would like to say that the work they boast about is the same as ours. 2Co 11:13 They are false apostles, lying workers. They only pretend to be apostles of Christ. 2Co 11:14 That does not surprise us, because even Satan changes himself to look like an angel of light. 2Co 11:15 So it does not surprise us if Satan's servants make themselves look like servants who work for what is right. But in the end those people will get the punishment they deserve. Even the resurrection of the dead to sinful flesh is a parable of the true resurrection to an incorruptible body. Mar 5:35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? Mar 5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. Mar 5:37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. Mar 5:38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

Mar 5:39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. Mar 5:40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. Mar 5:41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. Mar 5:42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. Mar 5:43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat. Here s the spiritual reality of the resurrection. 1Co 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 1Co 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 1Co 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 1Co 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 1Co 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 1Co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Let s go back to our verses tonight:

Luk 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Luk 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. Luk 4:3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. Luk 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Is this also a parable? We are already told, everything He did is a parable, a physical symbol of spiritual reality. Here s were Matt 4:4 and Luk 4:4 came from: Deu 8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. Deu 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. You can see the parallels now, Christ was taken into the wilderness, and He fasted for 40 days and all those time He was tempted by the devil. The Lord led Israel for forty years in the wilderness and tried them for forty years. He humbled them and suffered them to hunger. When the devil tempted Christ to command a stone to become bread, His answer was: Luk 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. What is He saying? Being hungry and eating bread in the wilderness. What s the spiritual meaning of being hungry? Amo 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: Isa 3:1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water, What is the spiritual significance of being fed manna? Rev 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the

churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. We saw this verse before: Joh 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. What our Lord is saying, again in parable, is that we must live by all the words of God for the old man to be converted into the new man. We have borne the image of the earthy and we shall also borne the image of the heavenly, but we must go through a process. This process involves living by all the words of God. Luk 13:32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. Third day means the process of perfecting the new man. It involves fulfilling all the words of God in our life, within, spiritually. But who has believed our report? Do we have any part of the words of God which offends us? Any part that is a hard saying for us? 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: The parable of Christ s crucifixion. This verse has been the focus lately: Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. If we say we don t live by this verse, we just rendered this verse unprofitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. People in Babylon cringe on this verse. If you tell them we need to apply it to us they get offended.
