8 SIN CAUSES BONDAGE 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

9 EGYPT IS A PLACE OF BONDAGE Exodus 2:23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. Exodus 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. Exodus 6:5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.

10 EGYPT IS A TYPE OF THE WORLD S SYSTEM Isaiah 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: Isaiah 30:2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Isaiah 30:3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

11 EGYPT IS A TYPE OF THE WORLD S SYSTEM Isaiah 31:1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! Isaiah 31:3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit

12 TRUSTING IN PHARAOH REPESENTS SERVING THE GOD S OF THIS WORLD Isaiah 36:6 Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him. Jeremiah 46:25 The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and all them that trust in him:

14 YESHUA IS OUR PASSOVER LAMB 1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

15 THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB WAS PUT ON THE DOORPOST Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

16 BELIEVERS IN MESSIAH ARE HIS HOUSE Hebrews 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. 1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

17 THE DOORPOST IS A CIRCUMCISED HEART Deuteronomy 10:12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul Deuteronomy 10:16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked. Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

18 THE BLOOD OF YESHUA REDEEMS US FROM SIN Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 1 Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold 1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

19 THE BIBLICAL PATTERN OF BONDAGE AND DELIVERANCE 1) The people of the God of Israel quit following Torah and teaching Torah to their children 2) The people of the God of Israel go into spiritual bondage 3) The people of the God of Israel cry to YHVH because of their bondage 4) The God of Israel sends a deliverer to redeem His people from spiritual bondage

21 NOT FOLLOWING TORAH CAUSES BONDAGE Isaiah 42:22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. Isaiah 42:24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.

22 THE CARES OF THIS WORLD CAUSES SPIRITUAL BONDAGE Mark 4:14 The sower sows the word. Mark 4:18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, Mark 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

23 WE ARE COMMANDED TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN TORAH Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: Deuteronomy 6:5 And you shall love the LORD thy God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. Deuteronomy 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in your heart: Deuteronomy 6:7 And you shall teach them diligently unto your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.

24 WE ARE COMMANDED TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN TORAH Psalm 78:5 For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: Isaiah 54:13 And all your children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

25 NOT TEACHING OUR CHILDREN TORAH CAUSES SPIRITUAL BONDAGE Isaiah 30:9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

27 THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL GO INTO SPIRITUAL BONDAGE Exodus 1:13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: Exodus 1:14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour. Deuteronomy 26:6 And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

28 THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL GO INTO SPIRITUAL BONDAGE Judges 2:11 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim: Judges 2:13 And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth. Judges 2:14 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.

30 PRAYING TO YHVH BECAUSE OF SPIRITUAL BONDAGE Exodus 2:23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

31 PRAYING TO YHVH BECAUSE OF SPIRITUAL BONDAGE Judges 10:10 And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, saying, We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim.

33 THE GOD OF ISRAEL SENDS A DELIVERER Exodus 3:9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. Exodus 3:10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that you may bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

34 THE GOD OF ISRAEL SENDS A DELIVERER Judges 3:9 And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother. Judges 3:15 But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite

35 THE EGYPTIAN PASSOVER Exodus 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: Exodus 12:4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. Exodus 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: Exodus 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

36 THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB WAS PUT ON THE DOORPOST Exodus 12:7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

37 THE LAMB WAS EATEN WITH UNLEAVENED BREAD AND BITTER HERBS Exodus 12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Exodus 12:9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

38 THE LAMB WAS EATEN WITH A STAFF IN YOUR HAND Exodus 12:11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover.

39 THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB WAS PUT ON THE DOORPOST Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

40 THE HEBREW WORD FOR PASSOVER IS PESACH TWO SPIRITUAL MEANINGS OF PASSOVER 1. Passing Over from death and sin to salvation in Yeshua the Messiah 2. Allowing by faith, the blood of Yeshua to Hover Over our lives and give us divine protection from the evil one

41 PASSOVER IS THE BEGINNING OF MONTHS Exodus 12:2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. Repenting of our sins (leaving Egypt) and putting the blood of Yeshua upon our heart is the first step in our salvation in Messiah

42 ACCEPTING YESHUA AS MESSIAH IS THE BEGINNING OF OUR WALK Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin [remain in Egypt], that grace may abound? Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin [left Egypt in with the staff in our hand], live any longer therein? Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death [put the blood of the lamb upon our doorpost / hearts]? Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life [be servants of the God of Israel in Messiah and keep His commandments]

43 ACCEPTING YESHUA AS MESSIAH IS THE BEGINNING OF OUR WALK 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away [left Egypt]; behold, all things are become new [redeemed by the blood of the Lamb].

44 THE LAMB WAS HIDDEN FOR FOUR DAYS Exodus 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb Exodus 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. Yeshua was hidden for four days (4,000 years) since the creation of Adam in the Garden of Eden

45 EACH DAY IN CREATION REPRESENTS 1,000 YEARS OF TIME Psalm 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. From Adam to Yeshua is 4,000 years of time

46 YESHUA WAS EXAMINED FOR FOUR DAYS FOR ANY BLEMISHES Matthew 21:1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, Matthew 21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. Matthew 21:10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? Matthew 21:11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

47 YESHUA WAS EXAMINED FOR FOUR DAYS FOR ANY BLEMISHES Matthew 21:12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves [remove leaven from the house of YHVH] Matthew 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. Matthew 21:17 And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

48 YESHUA WAS EXAMINED FOR FOUR DAYS FOR ANY BLEMISHES Matthew 21:18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. Matthew 21:23 And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority? Matthew 22:15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk. Matthew 22:17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

49 YESHUA WAS EXAMINED FOR FOUR DAYS FOR ANY BLEMISHES Matthew 22:23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, Matthew 22:24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. Matthew 22:25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: Matthew 22:26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. Matthew 22:27 And last of all the woman died also. Matthew 22:28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

Matthew 27:11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Are you the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest. Matthew 27:12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

53 PILATE FINDS YESHUA WITHOUT BLEMISH Matthew 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

54 YESHUA EXAMINED BY HEROD Luke 23:4 Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man. Luke 23:7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time. Luke 23:9 Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing. Luke 23:11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

55 YESHUA EXAMINED BY ANNAS THE HIGH PRIEST Luke 3:2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. John 18:12 Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him, John 18:13 And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year. John 18:24 Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

56 YESHUA EXAMINED BY CAIAPHAS THE HIGH PRIEST John 18:14 Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people. John 18:19 The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine. John 18:20 Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing. John 18:28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

57 YESHUA EXAMINED BY JUDAS Matthew 27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Matthew 27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

58 YESHUA EXAMINED BY THE CENTURION Matthew 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

59 YESHUA EXAMINED BY THE REPENTENT THIEF Luke 23:39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. Luke 23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? Luke 23:41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

60 WE MUST EXAMINE YESHUA AND FIND HIM WITHOUT BLEMISH 1 Peter 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

61 THE LAMB OF YHVH IS YESHUA Genesis 22:7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.

62 A LAMB OF THE FIRST YEAR Exodus 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: The firstborn of both man and beast is to be set aside and given to the God of Israel

63 THE FIRSTBORN IS GIVEN TO YHVH Exodus 13:2 Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine. Exodus 13:11 And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee, Exodus 13:12 That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the LORD'S. Exodus 13:13 And every firstling of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shall you redeem.

64 YESHUA WAS THE FIRSTBORN OF MIRIAM AND YOSEF Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: Matthew 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

65 YESHUA IS THE FIRSTBORN OF MANY BRETHREN Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Colossians 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

66 A MALE LAMB Exodus 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: Sin came into the world through a man (Adam). As a result, a male (Yeshua) died to atone for the sin of Adam

67 SIN CAME INTO THE WORLD BECAUSE OF ADAM Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 1 Timothy 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

68 YESHUA DIED ON THE TREE TO ATONE FOR THE SIN OF MANKIND Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

69 A LAMB FOR A HOUSE Exodus 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: The God of Israel wants an entire household to be redeemed / saved / delivered.

70 THE REDEEMED FAMILY OF THE MESSIAH ARE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Ephesians 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

71 SALVATION / REDEMPTION IS FOR AN ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD Genesis 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all your house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Genesis 18:17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Genesis 18:18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? Genesis 18:19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
