1 Notes on Construction of the Prophetic Calendar: [G-1] THE PROPHETIC CALENDAR { {Charts - propheticcal.html propheticcal2.html } 1. This calendar is based on a 360 day year which is indicated in Gen. 7-8 as the original time period of the first calendar. See How Long Was A Day In Genesis 2. The feasts and holy days are based on Lev The number of days counted: 2300; 1335; 1290; and 1260; come from Dan. 8:14; 12:12; 12:11; 12:7; and Rev. 12:6,14 respectively. 4. The last seven year time period is based upon Dan. 9: The Year of Jubilee is based upon Lev The month designations are Jewish but the calendar differs from the modern Jewish calendar in the following ways: a. This calendar begins the year with the month Nisan (March-April) which is the first month of the year according to Lev. 23. The modern Jewish calendar also refers to Nisan as the first month, but not as the first month of the new year! (Rosh Hoshanah) Modern Jews celebrate Rosh Hashanah (New Year) in the seventh month (Tishri.) The original calendar supposedly began in September-October {Tishri} but was changed by the Lord's command in Exodus 12:2 b. This calendar makes no provision for leap days, leap months, or leap years since these are not provided for in Scripture. WHY THIS CALENDAR WAS CONSTRUCTED IN THE FIRST PLACE! This calendar was constructed as a result of personal studies in Biblical prophecy and the inspiration that significant events in Christian history have coincided with the feasts and holy days ordained by God in Lev Note that these holy days are not the Jews' holy days, but God's holy days. (Lev. 23:2) From the Christian perspective we know that our Lord was slain as the 'Passover Lamb' without blemish (Lev. 23:12; I Cor. 5:7) at the required time of the Passover. (Mat. 26f; Mark 14f; Luke 22; John 13f) We also know that our Lord arose from the dead on the day after the Sabbath following the Passover as the first fruits unto the Lord. (Mat. 28; Mark 16; Luke 24; John 20; Lev. 23:11; I Cor. 15: 20) that we might be acceptable before the Lord (Lev. 23:12; Rom. 3:21-26; 8:1-14.) We are further aware of the fact that the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Lev. 23:15-17; Acts 2) was also significant and the same holy day that the Jews received the Law of Moses following their exodus from Egypt. The Prophetic Calendar - 01
2 The results of this insight led me to connect the Passover during the Jewish flight into the wilderness from the pharaoh with the future Jewish flight into the wilderness from the Anti-Christ. (The length of time for the latter, future event is given as 1260 days according to Rev. 12:6,14 and Dan. 12:7) Since 1260 days is exactly 3 1/2 years on a 360 day calendar I decided to create a seven year calendar, place all the holy days upon it and in the middle of the seven year calendar on the Passover place the number 1260 days. From this point I counted downward to day one and upward to day Day one turned out to be the day before the Feast of Tabernacles of the seventh year! (The Feast of Tabernacles is called the Feast of the Lord in Lev. 23:39) (See also Is. 25:6-12.) Immediately I was reminded of Rev. 19:9- "Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb." But this is only the beginning of the discoveries. Upon counting upward to 2300 days I discovered that the day 2300 occurred 10 days before Pentecost during the first year. At first I didn't associate that day with any important day so I recounted the days to be sure no error had been made. Finally satisfied that no errors had been made I remembered that something very important did occur 10 days before Pentecost. Our Lord ascended into heaven on that day! (See Acts 1.) Could it be that Satan will descend upon the Anti-Christ on the very day of the year that our Lord ascended; even imitating the Holy Spirit's descent upon Jesus at His baptism? It certainly fits with Daniel's description of those 2300 days. (See Dan. 8:14) Or could it be that Christians will be Raptured on the same day our Lord ascended into heaven? On April 24, 1982, another interesting discovery appeared to fall into place concerning the prophetic calendar. I recalled that the Jews have three times a year they are required to come before the Lord and that these times are also harvest times. (The Jews bring portions of their harvest to the Passover and Pentecost celebrations, but the final harvest is during the seventh month (September-October).) I also recalled that the first 'harvest' of Christians occurred on Easter during the resurrection of Jesus; the required time for the first harvest. (See Lev. 23:10-11 and Mat. 27:52-53) The final 'harvest' according the 'PROPHETIC CALENDAR' also occurs at the required time. It is therefore quite logical to assume that the second 'harvest' should also occur at its' required time, namely Pentecost! On the original calendar I had the 2300 days, 1335 days, 1290 days, and 1260 days all ending at the same time, namely the day before the Feast of Tabernacles of the seventh year. Having each of the prophetic dates ending up at the final coming of the Lord posed a problem: namely, the dates 1335 and 1290 did not occur on any holy day. The fact that the day 1290 did not occur on any holy day wasn't surprising considering Daniel's description of that day, but the fact that a special blessing is to be offered on day 1335 to all those eagerly waiting upon the Lord (Dan. 12:12) seemed to imply that a holy day should be involved. If the date 1335 is a possible reference to the Rapture and if it occurs on Pentecost at the beginning of Israel's last seven years this would account for several known facts: The last seven years are decreed upon Daniel's people (Israel) (Dan. 9:24), and there is no reference to indicate that gentile Christians will be present upon the earth during the last seven years. If the 1335 days end on Pentecost of Israel's last seven years, where does the count begin? To find out I added another 4 years to the beginning of the 'PROPHETIC CALENDAR' then counted backwards. I suspected that the count would land me on a Yom Kippur which already The Prophetic Calendar - 02
3 I was beginning to associate with the Soviet invasion of Israel (See Ezek ) I originally suspected the possibility that the Soviet invasion of Israel might occur in September, 1988, the Rapture of the Church could occur in May of 1992, and the coming of Christ's Kingdom on earth could come in September, While it is now apparent that the Soviet invasion did not occur as I expected in 1988, nor the rapture of the Church in 1992, I still suspect the 'Prophetic Calendar' will begin in the near future. If this is true, Christians may actually see the Russian mobilization for the invasion of Israel, and have a fixed time period for the Rapture! A couple of problems still exist, however, because there are two days on the earth at one time (this is the reason for the 'International Date Line'). I am inclined to believe all times and dates should be determined by Jerusalem time. Of course we may not be able to determine even then the 'exact day or hour' (remember Mat. 24:36-37) because of not knowing when the actual invasion specifically started, or by following the new moons to keep track of the months other problems arise. Since the destruction of the Russian armies is to include the greatest earthquake in the history of the world (Ezek. 38:19-20), it is possible that the Dome of the Rock may be destroyed at the same time, thus the Temple site which has not belonged to the Jews for nearly two thousand years would once again become accessible to the Jews. We also know that the exact location of the original Temple does not have to have the Dome destroyed to fit on the site. As I counted the days backward on the PROPHETIC CALENDAR, however, I did not end up exactly on Yom Kippur. Instead, I ended up 12 days before the seventh month (12 days before Rosh Hoshanah and 21 days before Yom Kippur.) At first I wasn't satisfied with these results until I decided that another piece of the puzzle may have fallen into place for me. If the two witnesses of God referred to in the Revelation were to begin their witness when the Anti-Christ ends animal sacrifice on day 1290, their death followed by their rapture 3 1/2 days later would place their rapture at 12 days before Rosh Hoshanah and 21 days before Yom Kippur of the last year! I'm still not convinced, however, when the ministry of God's two witnesses must begin. Should it begin at the Rapture, after 30 days of mourning following the rapture, or elsewhere. This is still one of the parts of the puzzle which at the present is still a mystery to me. Also, even with the above analysis of the 1335 day time period, I'm still not convinced of where the 1335 day time period begins or ends. It does seem apparent to me that based upon the grammatical construction of the verse {Dan. 12:12} that the 1335 day time period probably does not end at the same time that the 1290 day or the 1260 day time period do. ADDITIONAL NOTES ON THE 'PROPHETIC CALENDAR' The reader will notice that the calendar starts in the eleventh year before Jubilee. The actual time period for all of the events to take place is just over ten years (ten years, 25 days to be exact) because 2300 days isn't a full seven years. Also the events do not begin until the sixth month of the eleventh year before Jubilee and ends during the seventh month of the year before Jubilee. The Prophetic Calendar - 03
4 Also notice that because of the way I began the calendar (first constructing the last seven years then adding the four preceding years ) the eleventh year before Jubilee does not begin with a Sunday. Of course the day of the week we begin the calendar is arbitrary, but any changes will affect one Easter and therefore the corresponding Pentecost. All other dates are unaffected by any change in days. When I put this last calendar on a chart I discovered another interesting fact. The time periods 1335 days and 2300 days overlap each other by exactly 10 days. I recalled that the Church of Smyrna in the Revelation chapter 2, was told that the devil would persecute that church for ten days! This is the first time I actually considered that ten days as possibly being a literal time period. Remember that the Church of Smyrna received no criticism. Note: The Prophetic Calendar does not correspond to any calendar in existence today. Also, having said all of these things concerning the Prophetic Calendar, I would like to add that I have become convinced in my own mind that the dates may only fall into place at the time the Rapture actually occurs and will probably not be of any benefit to Christians, but will in fact be of tremendous benefit to believing Jews who come to accept Jesus as Lord after the Rapture. I am not 100% convinced whether the rapture should occur at the time of Pentecost or Rosh Hashana. I am aware that many who have undertaken the type of research that I have with regard to the holy days believe that Rosh Hashana is the correct time of the rapture. We may not know until the rapture actually occurs. Without a doubt true, believing Jews will be able to put the rest of the numbers together once the rapture has occurred. [In 2004, I noticed something else that needs commenting on here days is not a full seven years. It is in fact 220 days less than seven years. Seven years of day months is 2520 days. 220 days on a 30 day-month calendar is 7 months and 10 days. The seventh month, the tenth day is the day of Atonement! I do not believe this is a coincidence. At the present time, however, I am not sure of what all the ramifications of this fact are. See propheticcal2.html for another scenerio.] Some interesting questions to consider: Do the two witnesses of the Revelation begin their ministry at the exact beginning of the 2520 day {7 year} time period and end their witness on the day 1260 when the antichrist enters the temple declaring himself to be God? Is the Rapture of the church on day 2520 or earlier? The seventh month the 10th day is the Day of Atonement {220 days from the beginning of the 2520 comes to day 2300 on the Day of Atonement. Is the Rapture on Rosh Hashana ten days before the Day of Atonement? The first ten days of the seventh month are referred to as the days of affliction. If the days of affiction for all the Christians of the world begins on Rosh Hashana of the seventh year, will the Rapture occur on the tenth day {the Day of Atonement} giving a literal fulfillment of ten days of affliction revealed to the church of Smyrna in the Revelation?
