3 Bonus Lesson & Prayers Samson s Last Prayer

4 Dear Reader: Do you know this story? A scorpion needs to cross the river. He asks a friendly-looking frog to carry him across. Do you think I m stupid? asks the frog. You re a scorpion. You ll sting and kill me. No I won t, says the scorpion. That would be completely against my self interest. If I sting you, I ll fall in the river and drown. The frog sees the sense in this and agrees to carry the scorpion across the river. Halfway across, the scorpion stings him. Why did you do that? asks the dying frog. I m a scorpion, answers the drowning scorpion. It s my nature. Who are you asking to take you across the river? This painful little story illustrates something we ve all seen, but sometimes forget. Lie down with dogs and you ll get fleas. Go to bed with scorpions, and you ll get stung. Do business with the devil (or his agents) and you'll have your destiny stolen. Right now as I write these words, a well-known medium (i.e. a satanic

5 agent who describes herself as a psychic) is visiting a town close to where I live. In two weeks time. Tickets to her show are almost sold out. What's her stock in trade? She claims to bring messages from the world of the dead to the living. You know, from dead relatives, friends, and parents. And who are the people flocking to see her? Will you be surprised to hear that many Christians still secretly consult with: psychics mediums astrologers sorcerers occultists fortune tellers witches etc. I just checked one of my 10 inboxes and found, to my consternation, that someone just forwarded me an entitled: 2010 Horoscopes And this person is a Christian! Lord have mercy. But what does God have to say about this? 9 When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations.

6 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. 13 You shall be blameless before the LORD your God. 14 For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not appointed such for you. - Deuteronomy 18: 9-14 Beware! Scorpions on the Prowl... For some reason, in the secular world, most practical information about how to live successful lives has come from scorpions people who secretly draw their power (of vision, prophecy, healing) from strange places, even though they may be using the Bible and the name of God.... people who teach un-biblical shortcuts.... people who preach only blessings and miracles, without the requisite righteousness, holy living and prayer. Some of the scorpions have interesting things to say. Some of them are even brilliant. And many of them can teach you good techniques. But they re scorpions. And you don t want to find yourself at their

7 mercy when you re halfway across the river. No wonder the LORD solemnly warned His people in those days: If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, Let us go after other gods which you have not known and let us serve them, you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put away the evil from your midst. - Deuteronomy 13: 1-6 Things are changing... fast Have You Noticed? Something fascinating is happening in the world today. Maybe it s the widespread adoption of the Internet that s made the difference. When everyone can Facebook, Twitter, and blog, all of a sudden it s very hard for the scorpions to pretend to be good guys.

8 The shortcuts get revealed. The light of the gospel gets turned on to show the little (and large) deceptions. The flip side is, now it s easier than ever for great biblical stuff to get found. Think for a second. How did you find this site? Our site, was an outlier from the beginning. The LORD led me to use the Internet to share with my readers what the Holy Spirit has been teaching me these many years how to combine the Esther Method with midnight prayers and strong, hit-the-nail-on-the-head targeted prayer points To deliver truckloads of blessings and miracles daily to 21 st century believers who are prepared to learn and practice. Samson's Last Prayer The LORD also showed me that His people are discouraged more than ever... thanks to the myriads of things that the enemy is throwing at them daily. Just like Samson of old, the eagle has become the chicken. But, like many believers today, Samson himself walked into the camp of the enemy with his own two feet. As a result he was reduced to praying this last prayer: O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes! - Judges 16:28

9 How did he end up praying to die with his enemies? Once upon a time, a crafty scorpion named Delilah had sunk her tentacles into his life, and drained out all his spiritual power and authority... leaving in its place and empty, hollow shell. When you read the story, you could almost feel the invisible manipulation tentacles slithering around Samson's throat as this wily scorpion systematically drove the nails into his coffin... Now a question for you: Are you still palling around with satanic agents disguised as ministers of light? You shall not die with your enemies in Jesus' name. Recently we held a 21-day Prayer Marathon to deal with stubborn problems in the lives of God's people. One of the areas we focused on was the generational carryover and other effects of consulting with scorpions and others of their ilk.
