1 Celebration Leader Come to a special staff training meeting and get ready to become a citizen of Nazareth. Become familiar with the helpful material in the Celebration Leader Manual. Learn the music and motions for the 10 amazing Hometown Nazareth Holy Land Adventure songs so you can lead Tribes in several songs each day. Brush up on the Bible story and Bible verse in advance, and use the daily Bible Point often during the opening and closing activities. Share the excitement as participants report their daily God Sightings and create a field full of reminders of God s presence in everyday life. Be a go-to person for the Hometown Nazareth Director when extra help is needed.

2 Drama Team We ll need to fill these roles: Mary Jesus mother Eunice Mary s nosy neighbor Tax Collector (optional role) Come to a special staff training meeting and get ready to become a citizen of Nazareth. Learn your script, and participate in rehearsals as necessary. Dig into your role so you can stay true to your character as you interact with Hometown Nazareth Tribes. As Mary, you ll meet groups of Tribes at four sessions each day, welcoming them to your home and telling them what it was like to be Jesus mom. You ll help children and adults understand that God loved us so much that he sent his own Son, Jesus, to earth. As Eunice, you ll join Mary as you meet groups of Tribes at four sessions each day. Your character, who doesn t believe Jesus is God s Son, will provide an opportunity for kids to share their own faith with you. As the Tax Collector, you will roam the Marketplace and ask if people have paid their taxes. You can make up taxes on different Marketplace items, such as beads or food, and suggest that Tribe members should pay up. You don t bully or frighten people, but you do provide a safe sense of danger.

Lead Tribes in high-fun, low-tech games at four sessions of Fun & Games each day. Be the coolest character in town in your Bible-times costume, and talk with Tribes about the kind of games kids played in Jesus hometown.

4 Shopkeepers We ll need shopkeepers for Come to a special staff training meeting and get ready to become a citizen of Nazareth. Collect the necessary supplies for your shop, and be ready to guide Tribes in making the hands-on craft projects. Check out the interesting historical facts in the Shopkeeper Manual so you ll be ready to play the role of a Bible-times artisan or merchant. Have a great time as you visit with kids and adults while they work. You ll give them the opportunity to share their belief in Jesus, God s Son.

5 Tribe Leaders Come to a special staff training meeting and get ready to become a visitor in Bible-times Nazareth. Become familiar with the helpful material in the Hometown Huddle Leader Manual, and brush up on each day s Bible story, Bible verse, and Bible Point. Lead your small group (named after one of the 12 Tribes of Israel) in fun activities (with the help of an Assistant Tribe Leader) that help them make the connection between what they learn in Nazareth and their everyday life. Participate with your Tribe as you sing at the Celebration opening and closing, play at Fun & Games, talk with shopkeepers in the Marketplace, and visit Mary s House.
