3 Overall Strategy, Nehemiah 1-4 Rebuilding & Restoration God s people are free from captivity but living in the rubble of their former lives. As they rebuild and restore that which is broken (in their case the city wall and later the temple.) We can see how this applies to us and to those to whom we minister. We have been freed from the slavery of sin and death (through salvation), but often we are still living in the rubble of our former lives (bondage) we all need rebuilding and restoration (God s freedom and healing) and that is what this Seminar and Retreat are about. In these chapters, see God s plan for us and how we will serve, now! Scripture 1:1-2:8 The King gives the authority to rebuild. 4:13-14 The leadership assigned the people to strategic positions behind lower parts of the wall at the openings by family with swords (close warfare,) spears (mid-range warfare,) bows (long-range warfare) Exhorting the people to focus on the Lord and the truth Do not be afraid, remember the Lord, fight for your brethren Leaders positioned behind 4:16-20 The people s jobs were defined half of the people rebuilt with a sword at their side half took a battle stance 6:15-16 They prepared for war but God finished what He began So the wall was finished they perceived that this work was done by God. Application Jesus gives us authority to rebuild our lives and assist others. Let s take our assigned places, serve humbly, and know that the positions we have been given are meant to strengthen the vulnerable places. We need to establish the truth it is not us it is God so fight! Leaders provide direction and assist in warfare! The anointers combat the enemy at close, hand-to-hand, warfare. The intercessors combat the enemy at mid-to-long range, guarding and defending the work (restoration) and workers (ministry team). We need to prepare for battle being confident that God will bring the victory. All will see the finished work and will know that GOD has done it! - 2 -

6 Retreat Assignments & Guidelines During Teaching o Everyone intercedes at their seats during teaching. o During teaching times, breaks are allowed and encouraged when you begin to feel weary and/or need to use the restroom. Breaks are used for rest and to rebuild strength, therefore, please keep socializing to a minimum. During Ministry o Everyone into their battle stance and position during ministry. o You are stationed in your assigned positions. If at any point, you observe an individual manifesting from their seats, begin to keep them covered in prayer and notify a Ministry or Intercessor General immediately. o Please do not leave your assigned position until you are released by either the Retreat Leader or a General. Pray according to information under each specific topic and as the Holy Spirit leads. Worship everyone participates. Everyone has the opportunity to receive ministry after participants. Leadership Intercessor Trainer Responsible for training of the intercessors and is the liaison between the Retreat Leader and Intercessors Intercessor General Responsible for intercession at the retreat site and for all the team captains and intercessors Your Team Team Captain Responsible for the team of intercessors assigned to them. They will designate a medic. Team Medic Responsible for praying (encouragement, peace, etc.) over those intercessors on the team who may be struggling

7 About Pride Ministry: No On-the-Line Ministry Notes: The End of Rejection Ministry: Healing to Deliverance Theme Scripture: John 14:18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Definition: Rejection is the most painful emotional wound we can experience. The definition of rejection is: the absence of love. Application: Intercede for the participants For acceptance, belonging, and adoption For clarity of revealed truth and ability to embrace the truth That they would be set free from abandonment connected to the rejection Intercede for the anointers To break the lies over the participants To reinforce truth revealed to participants To demonstrate sensitivity when ministering in these areas To discern the difference between rejection and abandonment in ministry Notes: Anger Management Ministry: Healing to Deliverance Theme Scripture: Ephesians 4:26; James 1:19-20; Matthew 7:4 Definition: This spirit can distort the words and actions of others. It does so by speaking lies and filtering what we hear and perceive. This lying spirit always links uncontrollable anger to a memory of known or hidden pain. Application: Intercede for the participants Intercede for the anointers To let go of anger caused by abandonment, feeling misunderstood or devalued, frustration and disappointment, unfulfilled expectations, deception, and any other reason for their anger For release from associated symptoms of anger To remain non-judgmental To pray healing over their wounds and painful memories To assist the participant(s) in taking authority over the spirit of anger To close any doors of unrepentant anger in the generational lines - 6 -

8 To identify the root of the anger To release in to the Father s care all people and situations that Holy Spirit reveals That they would be set free from unrighteous anger Notes: No Longer Ashamed Ministry: Healing to Deliverance Theme Scriptures: Psalm 34:5 They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed. Definition: Guilt: How we feel about what we have done/been involved in. Shame: How we feel about ourselves because of what we have done or what has been done to us. Condemnation: The accusing voice of the enemy saying we are unworthy vs. conviction: God s invitation to forgiveness and reconciliation. Application Intercede for the participants To see how this separates them To release the shame To break the lies of condemnation For the opposite to be established in their lives - ability to receive forgiveness, grace, and mercy Notes: Intercede for the anointers (Combined with UnBroken) To have wisdom/discernment on how to pray for each participant To lead participants in releasing guilt after confession To lead participants to God s identity for them To lead the participants in receiving their full healing and deliverance UnBroken Ministry: Healing to Deliverance Theme Scripture: Luke 4:18-19 He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives to set at liberty those who are oppressed Definition: Where verbal, physical, emotional, sexual, spiritual, and self abuse have touched our lives. 9 Intercede for the participants Intercede for the anointers To let go of all anger, hatred, bitterness, self-pity/victim mentality. To see that the abuse was not their fault. To break the agreement with the lies of the enemy. To receive healing, comfort and restoration of the Lord. For the opposite to be established in their lives (for themselves) new heart, trust in the Lord, trustworthy relationships, and intimacy; (for others) compassion, patience, kindness, and self-control. To pray for word pictures that will reach each participant, To have wisdom/discernment on how to pray for each participant (fear and death, present - current abuse). To demonstrate the love of God through the gifts, holy embraces, etc. To impart the Father s love through hugs. To know how to handle current abuse situations. Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit. Notes: Ties that Bind Ministry: Healing to Deliverance Theme Scripture: Isaiah 1:18 Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow Definition: Soul tie: an attachment of our soul to a person or object involving both thoughts and feelings (mind and emotions) and the choices of our will. Application (Ties that Bind) Intercede for the participants To be honest with themselves and God regarding any unholy ties of any kind To make the choice to rise up with strength to break through each wall of this stronghold For healing, love/ acceptance/ adoption to be received Reject the lie that comes with friends with benefits Upon receiving their freedom, holding fast to their convictions and not opening the door again Notes: Intercede for the anointers To exhibit the love and acceptance of God while being ruthless with the enemy To demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit To be sensitive to the Holy Spirit in revealing any additional unholy ties - 8 -

10 Hope Again Ministry: Healing to Deliverance Theme Scripture: Proverbs 13:12 "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." (Reference 1Kings19:10) Definition: Disillusionment - The realization that something is not what it was expected or believed to be. Application Intercede for the participants For God to remove the veil of disillusionment For the Lord to reveal the lie they ve been believing To fully embrace who God says they are To rest in the expectation of God s promise in His perfect timing and way To let go of their expectation of how they think things should be Notes: Intercede for the anointers To be sensitive to discerning unforgiveness That the Lord would shine a light on the healing that is needed That the anointer would clearly hear the voice of the Lord as the blessing is spoken Open Session (if applicable) Ministry: Healing to Deliverance or Deliverance to Healing Theme Scripture: I Peter 5:7, 2 Corinthians 3:17 Definition: Open Session is a time for the participants to come up for prayer with any challenges they may have. Whether it is a stronghold in their life, someone they need to forgive, or a generational tie that needs to be broken, be prepared to respond accordingly. Application Intercede for the participants Intercede for the anointers To identify the specific challenge To identify any lies To receive and embrace the truth To trust and accept the changes that God is making To break the lies over the participants. To reinforce truth revealed to participants. To demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit

11 PRAYERS AND DECLARATIONS About Pride Prayer Father God, I acknowledge and confess the sin of pride in the generations of my family. I choose now to step away from that. I repent for my own sin of giving in to the spirit of pride. I repent for considering myself more important than others. I repent for rebelling against you and those you have placed in authority over me. I repent of being unteachable and resistant. Spirit of pride, I renounce you. I renounce every work of darkness associated with you, and I renounce every place of influence you've had in me or in the generations of my family. I renounce the crown of pride, and all arrogance, self-centeredness, rebellion, and unforgiveness. I renounce all the ways I have judged or criticized others. Spirit of pride, I break your yoke of bondage over me. I break all agreements with you, with selfrighteousness, self-will, self-promotion and all criticism and judgment of others. I separate myself from all generational bondage to pride. Spirit of pride you must leave me now! I choose to walk in humility with my God and with others. In Jesus Mighty Name! Amen! The End of Rejection Prayer 1 st Wall Rejection of God Father God, I m sorry for all the times and all the ways I have rejected you. Please forgive me. I repent for not believing you for not listening to you, and for refusing your love. I repent for not trusting you, and for doubting your love for me. I repent for all the stubbornness, pride, selfwill, and rebellion that I have walked in. In the name of Jesus, I renounce all rejection of God. I renounce all involvement with any spirit that would lead me to reject God. I renounce and break all vows and covenants, all soul ties and generational ties that would bind me to the rejection of God. I choose to love God with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all my mind. I renounce every spirit that has to do with the rejection of God. And now, as a choice of my will, I break down this wall now in the mighty name of Jesus. CLAP AND SHOUT! 2 nd Wall Self Rejection Heavenly Father, I repent for rejecting myself. I repent for all the negative things I have thought and said about myself. I repent of not accepting myself, and for trying to be someone I was never meant to be. I repent for not believing I have worth and value, just as I am. I turn away from rejecting myself, and I renounce all the lies I have believed about myself. I renounce and break every curse I have thought or spoken about myself. I choose to accept

12 myself. I break all ties with self-rejection, and every spirit that would lead me to reject myself. I rise up now against this wall of self-rejection, and I break it down in Jesus name. CLAP AND SHOUT! 3 rd Wall Fear of Rejection Holy God, I repent for giving in to the fear of rejection. I repent of all lying and deception, suspicion and mistrust, and control or manipulation that either I, or my family, have given place to. I repent of trying to please people instead of you, Lord, and I repent of my self-protective behavior and all self-pity. And now, I renounce the fear of rejection and all the destructive behavior it has lead me into. I renounce and break all soul ties and generational ties to the fear of rejection, and I break its hold in my life. I refuse to be bound to this fear any longer, and I break down this wall of the fear of rejection I break it down now, in Jesus mighty name. CLAP AND SHOUT! 4 TH Wall Rejection of Others Heavenly Father, I repent of rejecting others. I ask you to forgive me for all the hurt and pain I have caused them. I repent of my unforgiveness and resentment toward those who have hurt me. I repent of judging, blaming and criticizing them and for wanting to hurt them or tear them down. Spirit of rejection of others, I renounce you. I renounce all the ways I have allowed you to influence me to reject others. I renounce all anger, unforgiveness, resentment, and bitterness toward others. I renounce all soul ties and generational ties to the rejection of others. I choose to be a forgiving person, and I release forgiveness toward everyone who has hurt me. Spirit of rejection, I rise up against you, and I break down this wall of the rejection of others I break it down now in Jesus name. CLAP AND SHOUT! Spirit of Rejection, the blood of Jesus surrounds and engulfs you. You have no right; you have no authority to stay with me. I turn your sword against you. Rejection, - I reject you! You are on a slippery mountain and have nothing to hang on to. I break all agreements with you. I reject your lies. The ground you have taken, I now take back. I reaffirm my trust in God, and His Word, and I renounce every work of darkness associated with you. I reaffirm that I am His child and He is my Father. I sever all ties with you. I shut the door on you. You are exposed. In the name of Jesus I cast you out of my life. Be gone! Let go! Now leave me in the name of Jesus!!

13 Anger Management Repent: Father God, I repent of my sinful anger. I no longer want to live under the influence of the spirit of anger. I do not want to keep hurting others with my anger and rage. I come to you now to repent for all the ways I have allowed the spirit of anger to control or manipulate me. I repent for all the hurt and damage I have caused in the lives of others, and for bringing fear and intimidation on them. I repent of all verbal abuse, all mental, emotional, or physical abuse resulting from my anger. I also repent for any place the spirit of anger has been allowed to have anywhere in the generations of my family. Renounce: Lord, thank you for opening my eyes to the truth and helping me see that anger and rage, fear, intimidation, and violence are tools of Satan to bring hurt and destruction in the lives of others. Spirit of anger, I renounce I renounce you and all the destructive behavior you have led me into. I want nothing more to do with you or your hurtful and destructive ways. I shut the door on you now and seal that door closed in the name of Jesus. Break: Spirit of anger, I break your hold in my life. I have repented of you and I have renounced you. In the Name of Jesus, and by the blood He shed for me, I take authority over you and I tell you you will no longer have influence over my life. You will not control me or my emotions. I sever every hold you have had on me. Spirit of anger, I require you now, cease your activity against me and get out of my life in the Name of Jesus, Amen! No Longer Ashamed Prayer Father God I repent of doubting your love for me. I also repent of not believing that you have really forgiven me and that the blood of Jesus has cleansed me from all of the sin, all of the guilt, and all of the shame of my past. Holy God I repent of listening and agreeing with the voice of the accuser telling me that I am an evil person, that I am dirty, and that I am unworthy to come and receive your love. Here today I renounce guilt, false guilt, and shame. I renounce condemnation, selfcondemnation, and all sense of unworthiness. I renounce every spirit assigned to work against me with guilt, shame, and condemnation. I renounce what they have done to keep me from becoming the person God created me to be. I break all agreements I have made with the lying voices of guilt, shame, condemnation, and self-condemnation. I break all word curses I have spoken about myself. I break all soul ties and all generational ties that would bind me in any way to past guilt, shame, or condemnation. I break every vow, covenant, or agreement, and all word curses that would give these spirits any power or influence in my life. All spirits of guilt, shame, and condemnation I break your power over me in the mighty Name of Jesus. Father God I choose to open my heart to receive your unconditional love, your grace and forgiveness, and a full release from all guilt and shame in my life. And, by your grace I also choose to forgive myself, in Jesus Name

14 UnBroken Prayer Holy God, I confess the sins of my former generations where they gave place to the spirit of abuse. I repent of all involvement with abuse or the spirit of abuse in my own life. I choose this day to separate myself from any and all connection with the spirit of abuse. Spirit of abuse, I renounce you and all you stand for. I renounce all the hurt and pain you ve caused, and the damage you ve done in the lives of others. Spirit of abuse, I break all agreements I have made with you. I break all claims you have had on me or on my family. I break all curses, vows, covenants or agreements that have given you any power in my life or in my family. You have no further claim on me. Your rule in my life and in my family ends today. Never again will you torment me mentally, emotionally, or physically. In the mighty Name of Jesus! Amen! Ties that Bind Prayer Father God, I specifically repent and renounce all immoral sexual activity in which I have participated. I renounce all spirits of sexual impurity behind these acts. Lord, I ask you to forgive me and cleanse me of all bondage in my life because of these sins. I renounce every lie of the enemy telling me that I am dirty, or that I am unacceptable because of my past sexual activities. I also choose to bring all memories of past sexual involvement under the covering of the blood of Jesus. Lord, I also repent of making someone else s approval and acceptance of me more important than Yours. I repent of any way I have desired someone's love more than Yours. I repent of any way I have made them an idol in my life. I confess the sins of idolatry in my former generations and I repent of all idolatry in my own life. I repent of abdicating my will to another person. I renounce all unholy emotional soul ties. I renounce all the lies that have made me look to others for my comfort, my sense of worth or value. I renounce and separate myself from everything of idolatry in my family lines. In Jesus name, I take authority over all spirits of sexual sin, and I break their hold over my life. In Jesus name, I take authority over the spirit of idolatry and I break it s hold over my life. You will not keep me emotionally bound any longer and I command you to leave me now. I break all unholy soul ties in the Name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you fully accept me and love me unconditionally. I choose to put you first in my life, to place you above all others. I now present my body to you as a living sacrifice and I ask that you fill me afresh with your Holy Spirit

15 Hope Again Prayer Part I "Lord, please reveal to me any inner vow I've made that is causing me to be less than I am as Your child. Please show me if I have believed any lies that have been spoken against me". Part 2 "Lord, I stand before You, humbled by the knowledge that I can trust you to hold my destiny in Your hands in all of creation, I realize my future matters to you. I choose to set aside any misconceptions or wrong beliefs I have received from others or even from myself. I invite You to reveal Your calling upon my life. Even if knowledge of the full calling is yet to come, I pray you deposit a fresh anointing and sense of destiny in my soul. Please give me the ability to hear Your voice now as You speak the words of encouragement You have for me."

16 ROAMING TEAMS Armor Bearers 1 Samuel 16 (especially verses 18, 21) - David was an anointed, brave warrior and the Lord was with him. He became Saul s Armor Bearer and his ministry caused strength and refreshing, and sent demonic fleeing! 1 Samuel 14 (especially verses 6-12) - Jonathan s focus as a leader was on God; it was His battle. The heart of his armor bearer was unified with his leader, wholeheartedly moving in the same direction, allowing God to bring the victory. Role: Protecting, covering, releasing, and defending key leadership. What to pray: Specifically for Key Leadership Retreat Leader, Discipleship Trainer, Intercessor Trainer, Anointer Trainer, Worship Leader, and Operations Leader, asking the Lord for revelation of His strategy to protect, release, and defend. Where to pray: Based on the revelation received from those praying for and through the Team Captain s/intercessor General s/intercessor Coordinator s direction Trumpeters Numbers 10:9 When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the LORD your God, and you will be saved from your enemies. Role: Guarding, monitoring, and watching points of entry and exit. Informing leadership of revelation obtained through prayer and intercession What to pray: Asking the Lord for revelation of His strategy. Constantly seeking revelation of gaps and low places and dealing with what is revealed. Where to pray: Based on the revelation received and as the Team Captain/Intercessor General/Intercessor Trainer directs

17 STATIONARY TEAMS Messengers 2 Corinthians 8:2 If anyone inquires about Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker concerning you. Or if our brethren are inquired about, they are messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ. Role: Seeking revelation from the Lord concerning ministry time for youth participants, and acting as a messenger when assistance is needed with them. What to pray: For youth participants and those ministering to them. Where to pray: Behind assigned Ministry Team and to cover the span of that area. Shepherds (Ministry Flow Front or Section/Aisle) Jeremiah 23:4 I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking, says the LORD. Role: Ushers What to pray: Specifically for the Participants. Generally intercede for the participants in your section and as they wait. Where to pray Section/Aisle position ministry flow from the rows to head of aisle. You release by row according to flow. Front of an aisle position ministry flow from you to anointers. You graciously direct the participants to anointers (or another shepherd). Be alert for those going to the same anointer repeatedly. During Retreat During Training Friday Night Reserve a seat for yourself in that section or by your station by taping the blue reservation slip to your chair. During Saturday Morning Front of Aisle Receive training for water ministry for "No Longer Ashamed." Aisle Pass out paper and pens for "Ties that Bind" as needed. During Saturday Afternoon Offering Pass the baskets from left, as you face the front (the baskets will be under your seat or the left end of each row). Turn to the section on your right, pick up ALL baskets. Take baskets out of the room. Help pick up ALL baskets. Help take baskets out of the room

18 Shepherds (Gatekeepers) Jeremiah 23:4 I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking, says the LORD. Role: Door monitors What to pray: Specifically for the Participants Generally: Intercede for all those who enter, especially participants. Intercede for them to be able to remain in the Session. Intercede for those who leave the sanctuary, not to be distracted, and return as quickly as possible. If a participant flees from the sanctuary: Intercede for them to return. Check with them and see if you can help. Get leadership involved when you discern it is needed. DO NOT minister one-on-one to them. Where to pray: At the entrances to the Sanctuary. During Retreat During Training Friday Night Reserve a seat for yourself near your station. For the Leadership Prayer Times Arrive 15 minutes before the beginning of each leadership prayer time. Check for blue badges and white badges with blue dots on back for entry into the leadership prayer times. As Participants Enter Greet them warmly and bless them. Check for badges. If they have a badge but are not wearing it, gently ask them to do so. If they do not have a badge, refer them to the registration table. The host church, pastors and staff may want to look in on their people. Brief visits like this are usually acceptable; again refer them to the information booth to obtain a badge before entering (as appropriate). For all others, politely deny entrance with the explanation that this is a closed retreat for those who completed the four Sessions and have registered for this Retreat. Saturday Afternoon Men and Women are on separate sides. As participants enter, direct them to the appropriate side

19 ROTATING TEAMS Prophets, Priests, Kings Prophets Acts 2:17-18 And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy. Role: Listening, seeking, and obtaining wisdom/knowledge from the Lord. Priests 1 Peter 2:5, 9 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Role: To stand in the gap and pray that people come into alignment with God s will. 25 Primary Ministry Prayer Model The following takes place with participants for most ministry topics: Before coming to receive ministry, participants will be guided to ask the Lord what He wants to show them. They will then ask the Lord, What have I been tempted to believe concerning this experience? What lies have I embraced? They will also ask the Lord, What is the truth that you want to convey to me about this experience? Participants will be invited to come and receive ministry. On the line, ask the participant to share what God has shown them. (For Guilt, Shame and Condemnation, have them first wash away the veil of shame with the water.) Minister healing to the places of hurt and wounding in their heart, incorporating the truth. Lead the participant to take authority and cast out the spirit. Pray a prayer of blessing and filling over the participant, opposite of the lie they have believed. (For Guilt, Shame and Condemnation, as you are praying a blessing and filling, ask the participant to lift their face to the Lord, reminding them of Psalm 34:5 that says their faces were radiant before the Lord and they were unashamed.)
