He lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, 31 proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness UNHINDERED. 5 T/S: So let s take a closer look at this closing word of Acts First, let s understand the root word hinder [hin-der]ell 1. to cause delay, interruption, or difficulty-in; to hamper; to impede: 2. to prevent from doing, to stop: 3. to be an obstacle. thus UN - hindered Phonetic Pronunciation of Greek: ak-o-loo'-toce is defined 1. to disallow delay 2. to ignore interruptions 3. to defy difficulties 4. to hammer- out hamperings 5. to press through impediments 6. to persevere thru preventative measures 7. to overcome obstacles 8. to NEVER stop no matter what!

6 So what? Question: Does it matter if the Church is unhindered?! It s a matter of worship! It s a matter of love! It s a matter of appreciation! It s a matter of obedience! It s a matter of mission! It s an eternal matter! From what?! Man? No! " Ephesians 6:20 " Colossians 4:3-4! SIN... and it's countless faces...! The WORLD, FLESH, & the DEVIL! UNBELIEF! IDOLS! PRIDE! PERSECUTION! ADDICTIONS! RELIGION

7 ! GREED! MATERIALISM! DOUBLE- MINDEDNESS! FEAR! INDIFFERENCE (lukewarmness)! DISTRACTIONS! PROCRASTINATION! BUSYNESS! ANGER/FRUSTRATION! UNFORGIVENESS! LACK of VISION! DECEPTION! PEOPLE! UNKNOWNS! FOOLISHNESS! WEARINESS! SELF- RIGHTEOUSNESS! EXCUSES For what? 1. Growing God s glory and glorifiers! 2. Matthew 4:19 (follow & fish / worship & work) 3. Matthew 28: Acts 1:8 (to love & disciple- make) 5. Acts 28:30-31 (to BE the Church)

8 Now what?! This is a personal question It's ALL about faithful obedience! - You are unhindered to obey! - 2 Peter 1:3 - Romans 8:37 - Philippians 4:13 - Galatians 2:20 (privileged)! Again, no fire- hose today just 1 word.! Have you been living hindered?! Are you now hindered?! How will you live moving forward?! Will you BE Acts 29? T/S: Expressions of Truth in love Unhindered! - 2 Corinthians 11: Luke 8:39 - Luke 10 (harvest vs. harvesters) No matter what!

9 Where the true people of God live Unhindered: Worship wins over the world... Faith flourishes over the flesh... The Spirit soars over Satan! 10 Acts 1:8... Matthew 28: John 20:21 * ALL equate to an UNSTOPPABLE force * NT Church was unstoppable force... Cultural church is unstartable... The difference is PASSION!

11 CLOSE: Again What do you want? Do you want to bloat with the hippos? Do you want to run with the Rhinos? What s holding YOU back? The Acts 1:8 Church/Christian is UNHINDERED! The Devil said to the warrior, You can t handle the storm. Then the (discipled) warrior replied: (on the promise of Acts 1:8) I am the storm! Amen & AMEN May we BE an unhindered hurricane for Jesus!
