3 Kian Hodgson's skin is dark and she has black hair while her sister, Remee, is blonde with pale skin. Both their dad and mum are mixed race people as they both came from white mothers and black fathers.

4 There is really only one race the human race. The Bible teaches us that "God that made the world and all things therein And has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth (Acts 17:24, 26) There are a few Bible verses about people being black through illness but there is only one verse about having a black skin. Song of Solomon 1:5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem The Bible distinguishes people by tribal or national groupings, not by skin colour or physical appearance as follows: Exodus 3:8 unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. Ezekiel 23:23 The Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them Revelation 5:9 has redeemed us to God out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.

5 People say are only three main people divisions, the Caucasian (generally white people groups ), Negroid (generally black people groups ) and Mongoloid (generally yellow people groups ),

7 The, very few, albino people, whose skin is very white or pink, because they do not have any melanin in their skin. If our skin produces little melanin then we will be pale in colour. If our skin produces lots of melanin we will be a dark brown in colour. Melanin consists of two pigments which also account for hair colour. Eumelanin is very dark brown; Phaemelanin is redder. So the main reason for skin colour is the quantity of melanin and the proportion and distribution of its two components.

8 Genes, which are made up of DNA, defines something about who you are, and transfer inherited physical etc features from a parent to their offspring. At a position a, a gene has M which says make melanin. Another form of gene has m which says make a little melanin. So the result could be Ma,Ma (lots) or Ma,ma (medium) or ma,ma (little) melanin. We could have the same thing at a position b resulting in Mb,Mb (lots) or Mb,mb (medium) or mb,mb (little) melanin. So when they fuse together to make a baby it could be as Ma,Ma,Mb,Mb which would produce dark skinned people. Or if they fused together as Ma,ma,Mb,mb this would produce a medium colour skinned person. Or if they fused together as ma,ma,mb,mb this would produce a light skinned person.

9 Dark skinned parents will generally produce dark skinned children. White skinned parents will generally produce white skinned children. Brown skinned parents will generally produce some type of brown skinned children. Dark and white skinned parents will produce brown skinned children. Brown and white/dark skinned parents will produce different colour variations. If any of the above marry a yellow skinned person then the skin colour will be different again. If anyone lives in an area of only black or only white or only yellow people then that area will be marked by that people group.

10 DNA is deoxyribonucleic acid, a self-copying material which is present in nearly all living organisms. In it is information for inheritance, codes for proteins and the genetic information of life. So what is the DNA difference, as a percentage, between any two people in the world?

17 Noah and his family could also have been mid-brown with genes for both dark and light skin. After the flood God said to Noah in Genesis 9:1 and replenish (or fill) the earth. Noah had three children. Ham is thought to have produce all black children, Shem produced all the brown children, including the Jews, and Japheth produced the white children, and many scholars would add the Orientals as well. Between the flood and Babel was about 100 years when there was only one language and one culture group. The average colour would probably have stayed much the same but with some possible extremes of skin colour and other characteristics but such people could inter-marry others again. As the Lord Jesus Christ was a Jew He would have had a mid-brown skin.

18 The people said, And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven... (Genesis 11:4) But God said, Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth (Genesis 11:5-8). So the people went off according to their new language groupings.

19 Once there were separate languages there would be immediate barriers. This meant that people would only marry people that they understood and so they would become different groups and move away to different areas. One group might have had darker genes, on average, than another along with other characteristics like eye and nose shapes. As they intermarried within the group their descendants would have emphasised the differences. However this natural selection would act on the characteristics that were and they did not evolve new ones.
