And He said Please hear my words, if there be prophets among you, in a vision shall I,,ה' make Myself known to him; in a dream shall I speak with him. Not so is My servant מש ה in My entire house he is the trusted one. The תו ר ה relates to us an incident where אה ר ן ומ ר י ם spoke ל שו ן ה ר ע about ה.מש Although they meant him no harm, and it was about their beloved מש ה who was exceedingly humble, nonetheless it was considered evil speech. ה' immediately summoned them to the א ה ל מו ע ד and rebuked them. ה' explained that they had misjudged the relationship between ה' and מש ה which was different than the relationship between ה' and His other prophets. Interestingly the reprimand of ה' opened with the word "נ א" which Rashi explains ו י ח ר אף ה' ב ם says פ ס וק was angry with them as the ה' adds that although ש פ ת י ח כ מ ים is a request. Please hear My words. The nonetheless ה' spoke to them softly. For if His words were spoken harshly אה ר ן and מ ר י ם would not have accepted His words. From this ש פ ת י ח כ מ ים we can learn a profound lesson. Sometimes when we are angry at someone for one thing or another we respond in a harsh fashion, displaying the anger that we feel inside. However this is not the proper way to rebuke, notwithstanding the raging anger inside. When love of our fellow man is the motivating factor in our rebuke we should choose the gentlest tone that would allow the maximum effectiveness. If our words come from the heart with love, they will surely penetrate and be accepted in our friends' heart as well. HAVE A PLEASANT SHABBOS!
