Under Capacity Building Component of SOFWMP, FO received various training during and after that FO didn t receive any training. The current training was given to new general body members of FO, who were recently elected through re-election for 3 rd tenure during Dec

Under Capacity Building Component of SOFWMP, FO received various training during and after that FO didn t receive any training. One day training on Planning & Channel O&M was held on 16 th May 2014 at FO Office Bhan Minor Jhudo. The training was organized by Social Development Cell-Transition Wing - SIDA with joint collaboration of Nara Canal Area Water Board. Brief Description The General Body Members of FO Bhan & Bilalani Minor attended the training. The participation percentage was overall good. 32 FO members participated in the training. The resource persons from SIDA, AWB and FO delivered the lectures and also conduct field exercise on Abiana Assessment. The whole training session was focused on Organizational Management and Abiana Assessment & Collection. All resource persons played vital role while delivering the lecture to FOs. The training Modules on Organizational Management and Abiana Assessment and Collection including SWMO-2002 were given to participants in local Sindhi language. Training Observations & Impact As the new body of FO Bhan attended the training. The area is extreme tail end so there was acute water shortage and due to this Abiana recovery was also a big issue. FO member showed their displeasure regarding water shortage. The questions and observations that they raised regarding Abiana assessment and collection were well replied by Treasurer Baghi Minor, Mr. Abdullah Khoso. That was first time that another FO representative gave training on practical approach of Abiana Assessment and Collection. He said them that till the Water Allocation Committee may not be formed at FO the issues will not be resolved. As Baghi Minor is a role model FO and we tried to resolve FO issues through a FO of tail end. The experience was too good and hopes that

4 Bhan & Bilalni will form their WAC to resolve their water shortage issues.
