2 Temple in e making On e premises of e Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Powai, Mumbai is a beautiful and unique Shiva temple called Shri Jagadeeshwara Mandir. From afar one can see e Shivalinga on e temple roof (instead of e usual gopuram), at beckons people to visit it. The Prana Pratisha of is temple was pe ormed by Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, on 10 November It is e first temple built by Swami Chinmayananda. We are celebrating Jagadeeshwara Mandir Suvarna Mahotsava - e Golden Jubilee of is temple on 10 November 2018 (Saturday). In 1968, when e temple was inaugurated, holy water from Gomukh, e very source of Moer Ganga was brought in for e Kalash Abhisheka, at was pe ormed on a grand scale. This year also, to celebrate e Suvarna Mahotsava, a Sahasra-Kalash-Abhisheka shall be pe ormed on Lord Shiva who is pleased wi Abhisheka! You are welcome to contribute towards e Kalash of your choice and pe orm e Abhisheka or nominate a representative to do it on your behalf. Deities in e Temple The presiding deity of e temple is Lord Jagadeeshwara (Shiva), in spotless white marble, si ing in e meditative pose. Wiin e Sanctum Sanctorum, in e centre below e ground level is a Shivalinga. Daily rituals like Archana, Abhisheka, etc. are done to e deity. Lord Shiva represents e power of destruction and devotees invoke His power for e annihilation of ignorance and a achments and to unfold one s True Nature which is Tru-Awareness-Bliss.

3 Jagadeeshwara-Linga Abhisheka As your body requires daily cleansing, so does your mind. Live in e inner temple of Godliness. Surrender e mind in devotion unto e Lord. He will purify it and return it back to you. - Swami Chinmayananda Abhisheka is done to express our love and gratitude to e Lord & invoke Divine Grace. May e Lord purify our mind and bless us wi more devotion, knowledge and selfless service. Water from 8 sacred rivers including e Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati will be brought togeer and Yajmans will offer special Abhisheka on e Utsava Linga.
