Hello Ma'am, I can't tell you how grateful I am for sending my unit Christmas stockings. They couldn't have come at a better time. They brought a smile to everyone's face! LOL! The Ramon was a big it with my Soldier from Hawaii. The letters from the kids were so sweet and hilarious at the same time. Some want to know if there's a way to write back to them and say thank you? My most sincere gratitude to you and your team. You are bringing joy in ways I can't fully describe. For most of my unit this is their fist time deploying and being away from their family's around the holidays. They can only hear from those of us that have done this a few times that it will be ok, but your gifts to them made it clear to them last night that it will be ok. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart. Respectfully, SFC Christopher P. 481st Detachment Sergeant Mrs. Travis, I cannot express in words the gratitude my PLT felt towards the stockings and assorted gifts you sent. We really appreciated the work and effort you and your organization put in and we cannot thank you enough. Attached is a picture of the majority of my PLT as a humble token of appreciation. Once again, Thank you very much. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will have a Happy New Year! Very Grateful, 1LT William C. Dear Ms. Travis I want to send a very special thanks to all the organizations involved in the making of the Homemade Christmas Stockings. As a father of 4 and being away for the holidays, receiving these stockings has put nothing but joy on the faces of so many soldiers out here in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Your love and support is the reason that many of us can continue to carry the torch of protecting our nation. Again please give a special thanks to all your organizations and may you all be blessed and Happy Holidays. SSG JEFFERY S. 401st AFS Bn LTF KAF Judy, The Stockings have arrived. I don't think I have all of them yet but I have received 9 big boxes. Can you please tell me how many boxes were shipped to me? Besides yours, I have received an additional 350 boxes for my Company alone so my Office building is a little over stocked right now. LOL 1SG Craig R. 461st En Co (V)

Dear Ms. Travis, Thank you so much for the stockings! We got them just in time for Christmas and were able to surprise everyone by playing Santa - everyone came into the office on Christmas morning to find their own personalized stocking on their desk! I cannot tell you how much everyone appreciates what you did; you really gave us a little piece of home for the holidays. I've attached a picture taken on New Years of our Mosul Dam Task Force; we owe many of those smiles to you! Thank you again and Happy New Year! And Beat Navy!! :) Morgan K. CPT, EN US Army Corps of Engineers Mosul Dam Task Force LNO Good morning, Thank you so very much for all the holiday treats...they'll last us a very long time. 4 Wilmington Elves, I just wanted to let you know that your boxes reached our unit here in Gardez, Afghanistan on Christmas Eve. We can't thank you enough for your kindness and generosity. It is difficult being away from home during this time of year and knowing people are thinking of you makes it just a little bit easier. Again, thank you very much and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season. Mark C. Major, Infantry Operations Officer, TF Spartan, CJTF-101, Paktiya Ms. Judy Travis and Helpers, I wanted to send you a thank you for the care packages and stockings jam packed with stuff for us for Christmas. I was completely blown away by your kindness and generosity because I know that this did not just happen, it took the time and effort of many. This is my third deployment and I never received so much over the Christmas Holidays - this Christmas was a truly a unique deployed Christmas for me and the vets in the unit. For the first term Soldiers, you definitely set the bar high in terms of care packages. The stocking with my first name on it will become part of my family's décor and a reminder of this Christmas. Most importantly, your generosity renewed my perception of the home front. I largely believed that my fellow citizens not in uniform forgot about service members stationed overseas as the war in Afghanistan largely disappeared from the nightly news along with the fight against ISIS. The generosity of you and your helpers reminded me that many on the home front have not forgotten and that you still recognize that many will not spend Christmas with their families. Thank you for restoring my faith in my fellow citizens; my Christmas wish is that more will get involved with the process and the policy decisions that bring me to these places in the first place. My hope is that better policy will result from more people becoming informed and involved. Thank you again and Happy New Year. MAJ Jonathan E. Battalion S3 4-1 Field Artillery, 1 AD Judy, A huge "thank you" from the Iron Ranger family at Camp Humphreys, Korea!! We have started to receive the numerous boxes of Christmas stockings from the Club. Our Soldiers can't believe it!! Please let everyone know that we appreciate the support and care during the holiday season. These stockings make the season better as we're away from our families. Thank you and Merry Christmas!! 5 Hi am SPC KOFFITSE P. from 1670th Trans Co in Kuwait. These few words are just the only way I find to show my gratitude and say thank you for the awesome support. Here are pics of the stockings stuffed and waiting for soldiers to pick up as they head to their rooms. We can't thank you enough for your help and generosity. Thank you all, Stockings for Soldiers!! Briana F. From a Happy Mom: Judy, I got the Christmas Stocking box, wow, I mean WOW, what a great idea and personalized with my name, it was like I was a kid at home with my mother and father, God rest their souls. I loved and needed everything in the box, the hot chocolate packets are delicious, especially on our very cold nights. The very best part is I don't feel alone. I can only imagine how the soldiers must feel. I know you get many blessings for all the time all of you put in these boxes, I could feel the love the minute I opened the box. Thank You is not enough to say for how wonderful I feel. smiling in Indiana. Pauline. Judy, I just wanted to let you know we got all the packages. I didn't tell many people, so it was a surprise for most of my company. I've heard multiple people who want to thank you and your organization for everything you do. We appreciate the support around the holidays because for many of these soldiers, it's their first Christmas away from home. It was a complete morale booster and everyone had a smile on their face. Thanks again and God bless. Sincerely, Tanner C.

Judy Travis, Chief Elf-in-Charge, Please share with all your elves in Wilmington, De that your boxes of wonderful Christmas stockings arrived in the Middle East just in time for Christmas! My chaplain assistant and I are distributing your gifts to Soldiers at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. Needless to say, your gifts are lifting Soldier moral during an important time of the year when we are away from family and friends. The 176th Engineer Brigade has 1,600 Soldiers dispersed in eight countries throughout the Army Central Command theater of operations. Engineers build stuff. So we are busy conducting combat engineer missions and general engineering support missions. Some engineers are deployed forward to remote locations, and desperately need the goodies and necessities provided in each Christmas stocking. All of us appreciate a stocking at Christmas because it is a reminder of home and an expression of generosity. Thank you for your patriotism and support. Merry Christmas! Respectfully, Chaplain (LTC) Maury M. Task Force Chaos Chaplain 176 EN BDE Hello! I already ed a thanks to your wonderful organization but I thought you might like pictures of a couple of the Soldiers that got stockings ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Thank you so very much Judy, I've copied Chaplain Coleman on this and also LT Crook who you also sent some stockings to over at our medical clinic. We cannot thank you and all of your volunteers for the outstanding support you are providing. It means so much to us that organizations like yours care enough for our service members and it is even more wonderful that you have such a solid history of this support. I confirmed with the Chaplains that they did receive some boxes already and both the medical clinic and our office should receive some soon if not today. From all of your new friends here at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, we wish all of you a blessed holiday season. CPT Jon W. Hi Judy and Megan, Just got a package in my mailbox! Thank you so much. The only question now is do I distribute it to the platoon now, do I wait until Christmas, or do I keep everything in the box to myself?? Thanks again! Very Respectfully, Francis A. First Lieutenant, United States Army

Ms. Travis, I am writing to let you know that our Battalion received the stockings you put together for us. I wanted to thank you so much for all that you have done. The Soldiers I spoke with and saw were stunned at the amount of care packages you and everyone at Stockings for Soldiers put together. It s truly amazing and we are all grateful for what you ve done to make our holiday season so much better. I have had a number of soldiers ask me to thank you and everyone else at your organization as well. Thanks again! And I included a few photos below of soldiers receiving their stockings as well as a few other photos I took from this deployment. Thanks again! Sincerely & Respectfully, 1LT Sean K.

Judy, Please accept our heartfelt thank you for the holiday boxes you sent to our unit. It was a wonderful surprise and brought energy to our existence here. We admire the mystery of how you got our names but perhaps that's Christmas magic. I wish you the happiest of holidays. You deserve the best and we're humbled that you included us in your season. Sincerely, COL Rick A. TAAC-South Chief of Staff Kandahar, Afghanistan Hello, I'm 1LT Brad S. of 1st Squadron 3rd Cavalry Regiment currently serving in Bagram, Afghanistan. I received all of your wonderful care packages and distributed them, along with the personalized stockings, on Christmas Eve. I wanted thank you all so much for taking time to think about soldiers this Holiday Season. Your efforts and contributions are appreciated beyond measure and you have put smiles so many soldiers faces. Thank you for your continued support. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and God Bless America. to on Very Respectfully, Brad S. 1LT, IN TF TIGER FUOPS BAF, Afghanistan Ma'am, I want to say thank you for the care package you sent. It is good to know that we have so much support out there. It is very appreciated, and it does boost the moral when you see you got mail. This is my final deployment of my career and I have had so much support on this one it puts the other two to shame. Thank you again, and Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to you also!!! Please give my thanks to all who have donated to myself, and to my shop (if I couldn't use it I brought it in and shared it with the guys I work with). Take care and stay safe, I will do the same, and hope to meet you when I return this summer. V/R SFC Darin L., Theater Spectrum Manger HHC, 1-110th IN, S-6 Joint Training Center, Jordan Hi Judy, My name is Doug and I am in Q-West, Iraq currently deployed with several others here and across the middle east. I wanted to thank you for sending these care packages not only for myself but on behalf of everybody here who has benefited. I believe that we sometimes wonder where our care packages end up and if they are appreciated so it was important for me to ensure that your efforts are acknowledged and appreciated, especially over the holiday season when it is difficult for us to be away from our families. Thank you so much, very respectfully, Lt Col Doug H., USAF Q-West

Ms. Travis/Chief Elf-in-Charge, On behalf of us overseas, just wanted to drop a note and say Thank YOU (and all your elves:) for sending us Holiday wishes while we are deployed. It brings a smile to our faces and we very much appreciate it. Happiest Holiday Season to all of you! SGM Joe C. S3/Base Operations SGM BSTB HQs, Camp Buehring, ASG-Kuwait Judy Travis, I would like to let you know that I have begun to distribute the socking that your organization provided. I know it is a little early, but I think that Christmas can and should come as often as possible. The Soldiers of the 251st ICTC loved them and were excited to receive the personalized stockings. Along with all of the other goodies that you placed in the boxes. The little touch of home was greatly appreciated, as we are a very young company and for most of the Soldiers this is the first time they have been deployed. It is also the first time that they have been away from home, family, and friends for the holidays. It is a learning experience for them and as with all experiences has had some bumps. This is one of the reasons that I choose to hand them out a little early. So, they can remember that even if they are away from home, and their families that they are not forgotten and that they are loved and missed by more than just their families. That there are wonderful organizations and people far and wide that miss and love them and wish they were home for the holidays, but also understand and support the reasons that they are not. I would like to give you and your organization a heartfelt thank you for doing this for us. Please let all the people that were associated with the effort from the West Point Parents club, the area Rotary clubs, the Girl Scouts, and everyone else in Wilmington Delaware know how much we are thankful for the thoughts the prayers, and the little pieces of home that you all have provided to us. There are really not words that can describe what it means to us. It was an honor to receive them and distribute them on your behalf. Thank you, 1SG Matthew S. 251st ICTC Thank you for the stockings that your group sent our unit over here in Korea. Knowing that there are people back home who put in so much effort to send us candy and handwritten notes makes us all feel the warmth that you all have shared. Thanks for all you do and God bless. v/r, Capt Schurman Our great friends at the Delaware State Police delivering extra K9 Goodies to the Delaware Humane Association

안녕 Which translates to annyeong, which means hello in Korean! I just received a stocking sent from a person named Brendan. I want you to know that I am very thankful for your gift. I am a 21 year old soldier currently in South Korea. As Christmas draws near, I every so often feel a bit alone. My family is miles and miles away. The main support that I have is from my battle buddies that train side by side with me every day. But a simple act of kindness like this impacts me greatly. Even though I may be far, far away from home, I know that I have people like you that care and are supporting me. So thank you Brendan and all of the people that joined, for being the people that you are and supporting our troops. My name is Xavier A. and I am from Colorado, and I am indeed, a thankful soldier! Thank you for the stockings and all the wonderful treats that came with them. Our holiday party was a success thanks to your efforts. Our youngest Soldier loved the star from an American flag. The message sunk into him. Others loved the greeting cards. Thanks again. It's good to be able to come together and celebrate the holiday season while being away from home, and be reached out to from those back home. - SSG Williams Judy Travis, Hello, I am Airman 1st Class (A1C) Cameron S. I am from the small mountain town of Charlestown, New Hampshire. I am currently stationed in the 731st Air Mobility Squadron in Osan AB, Republic of Korea. I just wanted to say thank you, and all the organizations involved in putting together the Christmas stockings for my friends and I here in South Korea. When our Commander and First Sergeant called us all together this morning, we thought it would be just a standard Christmas/ New Year s safety briefing. I don't think anyone there expected stocking gifts from people we don't really know back in the U.S. and we were all very grateful for them and appreciated them very much. Thank you again. have a merry Christmas, and a very happy new year. Sincerely, A1C Cameron S. USAF P.S. just a bit of legal type stuff to cover myself... this is not an official thank you from the Air Force, but rather this is just my personal thanks for the goodies.

Mrs. Travis, Ma'am, just wanted to let you and all the fellow members of the Stockings for Soldiers group that our four boxes of stockings arrived today. I just want to extend my gratitude to you and all involved for raising the morale of my men. They work long hours and some days truly test their resolve. They are doing well and we are rounding the corner on this deployment - we are all ready to come home. Thank you again for your generosity and support. Please see the attached photos! God Bless you all and Merry Christmas. Very Respectfully, LT Michael R. Class of 2015 Judy, the troops in Korea have received your Christmas stockings. I received one your stockings and it is greatly appreciated, thank you again and a special thank you to Kylie troop 838 I'm assuming she wrote the Christmas card. Judy, Today I received 4 large boxes from Stockings For Soldiers. I can't even begin to tell you the joy it brought us. My husband's mother just passed away at the beginning of this month. Not only did it take a toll on him mentally, it stretched us very thin financially due to paying for the trip home and the funeral expenses. We are doing ok but had no extra money for groceries or Christmas celebrations. Receiving your packages really made our day, actually it made our entire year! You even sent stuff for our dog, Franky, which made me tear up because we had been out of his dog treats which weren't a necessity but are always nice to have. I can't even begin to describe how happy you made us. I am handing out the extra stockings, blankets and candy to all my Soldiers for Christmas and we re splitting all the dog toys with all the other dog owners here as well. So you not only made our lives better, you are giving to many more Soldiers and dogs in Korea as well. I want you to know that you made a huge difference in our lives. I can't thank you enough. I've included some pics of our dog Franky enjoying the surprise. Jennifer L.

Judy, I would like to take this time out to thank you for the wonderful stocking I received on Christmas Eve while deployed to Djibouti Africa! This is a wonderful idea and it definitely made my night. My card was signed by Ed and Barb McFadden. I've also CC ed my family so they can see how much we are loved! Respectfully, James F. NR NCIS HQ DC MERRY CHRISTMAS! There has been a lot of turnover here at our FOB since we last spoke... I was gone at a different FOB from about 8-19 DEC and didn't realize all the packages had gotten here until about 2 days ago when I was rummaging around all the extra packages I saw in some of our rooms! I hope you all have a great holiday season! Thank you so much for the packages! -Steve Dear Chief Elf-in-Charge, Thank you and your fellow Girl Scouts of Chesapeak Bay, the Delaware Area Rotarians, and the West Point Parents Club of Delaware. All of us here in Afghanistan appreciate your thoughts and prayers. I received a wonderfully packed stocking from you and it brought a feeling of Home on Christmas Eve after our candlelight service. You can tell your girl scouts that funny as that sounds, being a father of 3 daughters, I also am a certified Girl Scout. You can already guess that I miss my wife, my daughters, my son-in-law and especially my 3 year-old grandson terribly during the holidays. Your gift for the holidays is very much appreciated. I am sending you a few pictures of our area near Bagram. You can see the area is surrounding by beautiful snowcapped mountains. It would be a gorgeous location if there weren't so much fighting going on in the country. My fellow Corps of Engineers folks working here mostly come from Huntsville, Alabama and Louisville, Kentucky. My groups mission is to clean up all the unexploded ordnance from target ranges used by the US and it's coalition forces while in Afghanistan. We also do some demining work that is associated with these ranges to keep our troops and the local civilians safe. The information I have is that not only have we been able to dramatically reduce the amount of explosives from these old "bombs" being used as IED's against our troops, we have reduced the number of civilian casualties (mostly children) from /year to only 2 that has been relayed to me during these last 2-1/2 years. I ask that you continue to pray for us and our troops as we attempt to make a safer and better Afghanistan so that the countries children can someday meet and have organizations like the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America in their own country. 17 Dear Ms. Travis, I want to take a moment to thank you and all the "elves" that created a truly special touch to our Christmas here in Djibouti. The traditional Christmas stockings were the perfect reminder of Christmas back home and added nicely to the spirit of the day. My favorite, the hot chocolate complete with small marshmallows, Hershey's kisses and a candy cane was an awesome surprise. The many small acts of kindness you, your team and all of the students provided have made a positive difference in people's lives that are far away from home and family. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year with much appreciation! David B.. P.E. My soldiers are very appreciative and even though we don t really get any days off around the holidays here, it is really nice to get some Christmas spirit and cheer in the mail. I know it is no small feat to get packages here so I want to extend my gratitude toward you and anyone else who helped put these in the mail. We are supporting Operation Freedom s Sentinel in Afghanistan and although it s starting to get a little colder down here (at least at night) and we re starting to get some more sandstorms, our spirits are still pretty high and we are all doing well. Attached is a picture of us taking a break on a patrol and of us opening your stockings and packages we received right before Christmas. I just wanted to take a few minutes and write you an and express me and my units thanks for the stockings that you sent us. You have no idea what it meant to our Soldiers to know that every day people just like you are thinking about them on the holidays. It was a great boost to morale and it was a fun time passing them out. The names on the stockings were a nice touch and it made it personal for all the Soldiers. They couldn't believe that their names were on the stockings. Again, we cannot express enough how much it meant. Thanks again and we hope you had a great holiday season. God Bless Pat

I can not tell you how much the support of our country and the American people means for morale and comfort while we spend months away from our families. Thank you so much and Happy Holidays! CW4 Ned W. 411th Transportation Detachment Kuwait Naval Base, Kuwait

Judy, Thank you for taking the time to send care packages. Your care packages made it to the 1670th Composite Truck Company stationed at camp Buerhing, Kuwait. Our soldiers really appreciated the kind words and treats. It helped lift their spirits and moral during the holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Thank you V/R CW3 Bradley T. 1670th Maintenance Officer Camp Buerhing, Kuwait Ma'am, I hope the holidays have treated you well. Thank you very much for you and your teams hard work. Our Christmas here in Korea was brighter because of you and your teams effort. These acts of kindness and support are truly appreciated. While I do not have a G37 TREX photo, attached is a photo of the living patch that we did on the 23rd in 2ID/RUCD for the divisions centennial this coming year. I wish you and your team a happy and prosperous New Year. V/R LARRY B. CPT, SC (FA-57) 2ID/RUCD Exercise and Simulation Officer Korea Dear Judy, Stockings for Soldiers, West Point Parent Club of Delaware, Area Rotary Clubs, Girl Scouts, friends and Neighbors. I wanted to send a personal Thank You on behalf of my Battery for the gifts and care packages that you sent in order to bring home a little closer to us while we are deployed. Every Soldier received a stocking and I wish you could have seen the excitement that the names were on the stockings as well. It was honestly a great surprise for everyone. And as a former cadet of the Long Grey Line I wanted to thank you again, I remember the times and the things that my parents and sponsors went through and have "suffered" with me. I know it is never easy with everything going on back home to be thinking of loved ones that are away and vice versa. I will continue to remind those around me not to take anything for granted, especially amazing people such as you. Thank you again our honorary Copperhead families. Very Respectfully, Joshua K. 1LT, FA C BTRY Executive Officer 4-1FA, 3ABCT, 1AD

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! From our team to you and all of your supporters, we appreciate the stockings and goodies. What a fantastic surprise to get these from our Battalion in Bagram, Afghanistan. Please pass our extreme thanks for Stockings for Soldiers, West Point Parents Club of Delaware, all the area Rotary Clubs and Girl Scouts, and anyone else who sent cards, well wishes, and support. Your support and understanding for the sacrifices that we make here in Afghanistan is amazing and heartwarming. It strengthens our resolve and strength, so far away from our friends and families during the holiday season. MAJ Patrick R. Logistic Task Force OIC-Kandahar Good evening (at Mosul Dam), My name is Dave P. and I are currently working for the Army Corps of Engineers at Mosul Dam in northern Iraq. I was surprised by a wonderful gift from you when I arrived at the Office on X-mas morning. It was very thoughtful of you to go to all of the effort to prepare and send. I sincerely appreciated the effort. Happy New Year! Cheers, Dave Hello Judy, Thank you and your volunteers so very much!! Here is a picture of some of our Soldiers with their goodies. I also received the extra box today and all of our Soldiers have already nearly emptied it! You and your team are appreciated and thank you for supporting all of our service members here in Djibouti. I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday season. Very respectfully, CPT Jon W. Ph.D. 418th Civil Affairs Battalion Combined Joint Task Force -- Horn of Africa Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti Judy, Please except my sincere thank you for the care package. It was definitely a neat touch to have individualized stockings for the guys in the office here. We really appreciate the outpouring of support. V/R, CW2 Kent R. TF STRIKE S2X Camp Taji, Iraq

Hi ma'am I am SPC Davey and currently deployed with my dog Buster in Iraq and I stumbled upon some letters that were sent to us with stockings. I'm not sure if you had received a response or the pictures you guys love for your page yet. Christmas time was pretty hectic here with everything going on and the papers were just covered up by accident I think. Do you know who these were originally addressed to by the way (just out of curiosity)? But I will try and attach some pictures on this . Thank you! And happy holidays. Me again... Today we just received the rest of the stockings, all amazing stuff. Thank you guys so much!! And buster loves his new bed!!! Judy As I was reading the wonderful cards and seeing all the stockings distributed I was reminded how fortunate we are to have so many people back home thinking of us. Your generosity and time are so much appreciated. Please express my heartfelt gratitude to all who helped in this effort. Wishing you and yours a Happy, healthy and safe New Year! Lt. Col Diane B. Chief Elf-in-charge (AKA Judy Travis), Good morning to you and the entire crew that takes the time to put together these bags of gifts. You all helped us during the holidays and while it may have been a small token of appreciation, some Troopers have a hard time during this time of year. Since you all took much more time making the stockings, purchasing the candy and snacks, stuffing all the goodies into the bags, and then driving your vehicles to the post office to mail us these items...it is the least that one of us could do to send a thank you note back. Thank you very much and happy new year! SSG Gregory B. DET Torch Equal Opportunity Leader DET Torch Fire Marshall

Ms. Travis, I would like to thank the Stockings For Soldiers - Delaware Inc, Wes Point Parents Club of Delaware, Delaware Area Rotarians, and Girl Scouts of Chesapeake Bay Council, Wilmington, DE for the beautiful stocking and the contents within. It certainly brought cheer to my heart over here, not just for me, but many of our Soldiers. I intend to return it back home as a memento of the good and kindness of others. May everyone have a wonderful year! Respectfully, CPT Christine C. Chief Elf-in-Charge, Thank you sooo much! I received one of the care packages you and the other put together. It's good to know that there people we don't even know that would spend their time and energy to send us a care package while deployed. Tell everyone thanks again and maybe I can help put together care packages with you guys one year! Thanks, CPT Alexander B. Platoon Leader A Co, 2-228th Aviation Regiment Hi... We are a Danish K9 team Worning with Americans in Kabul. We received a lot of treats, toys and a lot of dog grooming things Can We send pictures to you of our dog? We also train and mentor 2 Afghan dogs, and the Afghan handler. And What Can we send it to? Thanks for the dog stuff Hi Judy... Here are some pictures of our dog This picture is him with a pair of protecting goggles that We got from you Kenneth Ma'am, I wanted to thank you for everything you all have done to make our Christmas a bit brighter with your generous care packages/stockings. You are amazing people doing amazing things for us and can never thank you enough for your kindness, love and support. Hope you all have a great year ahead as we are gearing up to go home soon. Once again, A HUGE THANK YOU!!! V/R SFC Mark S.
