Knowing the Mission Field The Democratic Republic of Congo: The Democratic Republic of Congo (D.R.C.), is a country located in central Africa, northeast of Angola. Capital: Kinshasa Population: million (2013) World Bank Official Language: French National Languages: Kikongo/Monokutuba, Lingala, Tshiluba and Swahili. Total Area: 2,344,858 Sq Km Life: Life expectancy at birth men/women 58/62 years (2015 World Health Organization). Daily life is a struggle for many people in the Democratic Republic of Congo because years of unstable political, economical, and social conditions have left many households unable to earn decent pay to feed their families ( Over half of the population in the Democratic Republic of Congo lives below the poverty line. Everybody is living in survival mode. Regardless of all these miserable conditions in life, Congolese people are very open to the Gospel, hungry for God and seek help for their daily life. This country has been blessed by the mission work of western Catholic and Protestant missionaries for years. We thank these missionaries for their sacrifice and mission work done across the country. Most of these western missionaries left the country around 1990, this created a vacuum and the Congo was left unstable. In our perspective, the task of mission according to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20) is not finished yet, many different tribes are still un-reached for the Gospel of Jesus and many villages across the country do not have an established local Christian church for worship. Many of the people who were Christianized now express an urgent need of discipleship training for their spiritual growth. It is clear that the mission task is not over in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The need for holistic mission work is greater and greater now with the growing population of this nation. The merchant Muslims of North Africa and other parts of the world are targeting the Democratic Republic of Congo as their new mission field in central Africa. This Islamic move to the Congo raises awareness about the urgency of the need for more Christian holistic mission work to be done now in the Democratic Republic of Congo. That is why the All Nations Holistic Church of Congo is welcoming Christian missionaries to join us in a holistic mission endeavor for the Democratic Republic of Congo now before it gets too late.

Knowing the Church that Welcomes Partners in Mission All Nations Holistic Church of the Democratic Republic of Congo is a local holistic mission-minded church established in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2010 by Rev. Bishop, Jonas Muyima, Ph.D. and his wife Eleonore Muyima through the missionary work of All Nations Holistic Church of United States of America. All Nations Holistic Church of the Democratic Republic of Congo (D.R.C.) is a classified Non Governmental Organization (N.G.O.) The mission of All Nations Holistic Church of the Democratic Republic of Congo is Every village for Christ. Through this mission, All Nations Holistic Church of the D.R.C. is committed to reach: Every Tribe, Every Village, Every Home, Every Family, and Every Person for Christ Jesus! The All Nations Holistic Church of the D.R.C. now has seven local churches with a total of 2,500 members and six ordained ministers. One of these ordained ministers (Reverend Emily Gambembo), is working overseas in the Republic of Angola as a missionary assigned for planting a new church. All Nations Holistic church of the D.R.C. has the privilege of working in one of the vast countries in the center of Africa. The freedom of worship and the receptivity of people to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Democratic Republic of Congo is a blessing and a great opportunity for the work of evangelism, church planting, mission, peace building programs, community development initiatives and more. This spiritual climate testifies that the harvest in this country is ready. God is looking for the harvesters to reap for His Kingdom. Isaiah 6:8 says, Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said Here am I. Send me! All Nations Holistic Church of United States is seeking men and women of faith, Christian churches and other organizations within the Body of Christ to come and join us as volunteer partners in reaching out to the Democratic Republic of Congo for Christ and empowering His people spiritually, socially, and economically in their communities.

Challenges and Holistic Mission Opportunities to Investing in God s Kingdom The need of All Nations Holistic Church in the Democratic Republic of Congo offers great opportunities for partnership in missions and covers different areas of life such as: 1. Planting new local churches in each village. Many villages we visited through our mission trips from 2010 to 2016 in the territory of Gungu and Idiofa don t have a local Christian church. A special holistic evangelical ministry (Congo Pygmies Holistic Ministry) is also needed to reach out to Pygmy people who live in the equatorial forest of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is estimated that there are between 250,000 and 600,000 Pygmies living in the Congo rainforest (Wikipedia.org/wiki/Congo-Pygmies). Pygmy people are short-statured, naturally not exceeding five feet in height and live partially on the wild products of their environment. Permanent Christian Holistic mission is rare among Congo Pygmies communities. 2. Discipleship: Equipping church members for a solid Christian life and effective ministry. This biblical foundation of new life in Christ will help Congolese Christians to stand firm in their faith before all pressure and influence of the traditional and non- Christian religions emerging fast inside the country. 3. Construction Ministry (building churches for worship, schools, libraries and medical clinics in the villages). In rural areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo, people lack adequate structures (buildings) for worship, education, medical care, missionary housing and more. Most of our local churches are renting residential spaces for worship services. Sometimes, when the landlord sells the property, the local church faces many challenges before finding a new place for activities. Some others in the villages worship in unhealthier housing or outside under a tree exposed to climate. Because of the lack of adequate medical facilities in most of the villages of the Democratic Republic of Congo basic assistance such as: routine checkups, consultations, medical treatment, prenatal care and more are almost inaccessible. Women, men and children walk 50 miles or more to get access to a clinic or hospital. In most villages, children are attending school and preparing for their future under the most precarious conditions. Classrooms lack even the most rudimentary supplies and equipment such: desks, books, blackboards, toilets and even water. To empower children, youth and adults through Christ centered education we now have 3 schools in the Congo: Academia Elementary and High School in Kinshasa, Nightingale Elementary and High School in Gungu, Duren Elementary and High School in Lwende, and

a nursing school in Lwende as well. These schools constitute a great platform for evangelism and discipleship of children and youth. For college degrees, we have two Bible schools in Gungu and Mukedi, a three year program based on church ministries, peace building, counseling, leadership and computer technology. We have established a medical clinic in Gungu village providing medical services to people in Gungu and surrounding areas. This medical clinic brings help and hope to the underprivileged in this growing population of Gungu Territory. To better serve rural populations through these holistic ministries (Christ-centered education, medical assistance and habitat), All Nations Holistic Church of Congo is seeking and welcoming volunteers and passionate people of faith who can join us with their skills and resources to build safe, healthy and badly needed rural structures (buildings) like: Churches (temples) for worship Schools for education of children and for future generations Medical centers for health assistance Mission centers for housing of missionaries, mission training, spiritual retreats and more. Libraries for educational support, tutoring, research and community development. We want to create a library with 3,000 books which can help the students of Gungu and Mukedi Bible School as well as other schools within Gungu and surrounding areas. This is needed because Gungu territory doesn t have a library open to the public. The need for volunteers willing to invest their time, life and their resources in this construction ministry is badly needed and will be much appreciated. 4. Alleviating poverty by providing women and men in villages sustainable opportunities that lift themselves, their families and their communities out of poverty. These sustainable opportunities are: training in gardening, composting, seed conservation, raising of livestock, establishing taxi s for transportation of people and their products from the villages to the cities, micro financial credit which can empower underprivileged women and men to create small enterprises, and planting of edible forest and medicinal plants such as Moringa Oleifera. 5. Promoting Farming God s Way, Good Food Production, Moderate Rural Transportation and Forest Protection. The presence of a forest brings many benefits to the environment such as clean air and help in regulating climate. The unhealthy practices we have witnessed through our mission trips in the Democratic Republic of Congo regarding the use of the forest have endangered people s lives and the development of rural communities. Practices such as
charcoal production, cutting trees for habitat, burning of the forest and savanna for agricultural needs have damaged the environment. All Nations Holistic Church of United States has been working with volunteers to promote green practices. Using holistic mission trips to raise awareness to the people in the villages of Gungu and the surrounding territory on how to be good stewards of God s given nature and environment. Organic farming and food production work needs to be done because people in the villages of Gungu and Idiofa Territories are almost starving. The common diet that people can afford is the mix of Cassava (a local starch) and a side dish of dry food or vegetable. This diet lacks a many of the basic nutrients necessary for good health. Promoting good food production balanced nutrition education through farming in rural communities is urgent. More work and investment on this matter needs to be done before it gets worse. In the same perspective of good food production, the issue of rural transportation also requires special attention and efforts for improvement. In the villages of the Democratic Republic of Congo women transport food products daily from the fields to the houses in the baskets on their heads and sometimes with babies also on their backs for 20 miles or more. Men push bicycles loaded with food products or merchandise on sandy roads for days to provide for their families needs. Bringing moderate rural transportation to the villages of Gungu and Idiofa territories will be good news that brings relief to the population and a stimulus for more food production and markets. All Nations Holistic Church of Congo welcomes beloved Christians who are skilled and who have the resources to invest for changing the horrible conditions of the rural transportation in the villages of the Democratic Republic of Congo. These Congolese people need the whole Shalom (Peace in Spirit, Mind and Body). 6. Establishing a Christian radio station which will help spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in the village of Luende and surrounding areas. This radio will be the first Christian radio in the region. 7. Establishing an Internet CYBER Café with a capacity of 30 computers at each location. This offers internet access to the public and becomes a learning environment for people to get basic computer skills such as: writing, , access to social networks and academic research. Computers, monitors, and speakers have been shipped to establish these CYBER Cafés for the academic year in the villages of Gungu and Mukedi. We plan to expand capacity from 10 to 30 computers at each location. 8. Building Orphanages and Establishing a Foster Family Program for the Holistic Care of Orphans. We want to let orphans understand that God cares about the whole person (Spirit, mind and body) as a unique and awesome creation. Across the Democratic Republic of Congo, orphans are victims of injustice,
civil wars, economic hardship and poverty. Because of the unstable political, economical and social conditions the number of orphans has increased. They cry for shelter and for bread to eat. They never live a lovely and better life until they die. Many of them do not have a place to call home. All Nations Holistic Church of Congo works with a specialized N.G.O. named Second Chance in fulfilling this program across the Country. Giving a second chance for better life to these orphans is crucial and can make a big difference in their lives and in their society as well. Giving your financial support to this project in Kinshasa, Kikwit, Gungu and Mukedi is an investment in God s kingdom by saving lives. Come help us give a second chance to these orphaned children by feeding, clothing, schooling and caring for them which will empower them to take care of their lives. 9. Building Water Wells in the Villages for Clean, Clear, Pure, Fresh Water. Clean water is a concern in rural areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Finding clean water is a daily challenge for young boys, girls, mothers and elderly people. Women spend several hours a day collecting water from distant, often polluted sources. Schools and even health facilities lack a safe water source. We are passionate about solving the water crisis and providing quality sustainable sources of water to thousands people living in the rural areas of Gungu, Idiofa and more. On our mission trips, we spend money buying pure bottled water from the capital Kinshasa and other cities to bring wherever we go because of the lack of clean water in most of the villages. Sadly the local people we serve in these rural areas do not have the financial power to buy imported water bottles and live their whole life lacking clean water. Through our holistic vision of mission work we are committed to bringing to the Congolese people the whole Shalom in their spirit, their mind and their body. We believe that providing water wells for pure and clean water in each village is a crucial part of the Shalom that Jesus-Christ wants to give to God s creatures in the rural areas of Democratic Republic of Congo. Our mission is to build water wells as a source of clean water in each village. The fulfillment of this clean water project will bring many benefits to the populations in the rural areas such as: Offering free access to a reliable and safe water source that unlocks potential and lifts the burden of the population. Improving the health and lively hood of children and their families. Reducing the time spent in collecting water increases school attendance for children and youth. Eliminating health related problems and diseases (diarrhea, typhoid, dehydration, and chronic malnutrition) within the rural population and reducing health care cost.
Donate to help a person with disabilities and their family! Your commitment for financial support (one time, monthly, or annually) is needed to make a difference and will make the missionary work in Congo sustainable and more productive.
Reducing the percentage of death among children and elderly people from water-borne diseases. Improving sustainable sanitation for families, schools, heath care facilities and other public places. Promoting success for socioeconomic development of the rural population. Your financial support for this life saving and humanitarian project is needed to help us buy a portable water well drilling rig and supplies. Bishop, Dr. Jonas Muyima is also welcoming volunteers skilled in water well drilling and operations to come and join us in implementing this technology for underprivileged and destitute villages of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Get involved now and donate today to help a village in Gungu or Idiofa get clean water. 10. Assisting Persons with Disabilities. In the rural areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo children and adults with disabilities are left behind. Most of the time persons with disabilities are labeled as unproductive and a burden for their families and society. Often they are even labeled as demons or considered to be the results of witchcraft. The majority of the villages across the country do not have any special educational infrastructure or care programs appropriated in schools, churches or hospitals for these people. During our 2016 Congo mission trip in Mukedi, Gungu and Kahemba we met and counseled more than 50 people with disabilities and their relatives struggling with the challenges of disabilities. There are many causes for physical disabilities, but some of them were victims of Polio. Their stories were heart breaking and overwhelming. Bishop Dr. Jonas Muyima felt called by God through prayer to be their voice and start a special ministry assignment to the Democratic Republic of Congo. His ministry will provide holistic care to persons with disabilities in underprivileged villages across the country starting from the territories of Gungu, Kahemba and Idiofa. Our ministry is committed to identifying the challenges, the needs, and the potential of people with disabilities and providing them with holistic care (spiritual, social, educational, medical and material) that will empower and improve their lives for God s glory. In this endeavor we are dedicated to educating persons with disabilities, families, churches and the communities on Biblical values that give hope. We plan to heal psychological wounds, lift up the sanctity of life, and encourage acceptance and respect of each individual regardless all physicals and mental issues they may face. We will provide persons with disabilities holistic assistance to empower them. Helping them to enjoy life and be productive in the society and in God s kingdom as well. Our Lord Jesus and his ministry to people with special needs in the New Testament constitute

an inspirational example for our holistic ministry for persons with disabilities. We believe that we are serving our Lord Jesus- Christ when we care about persons of all ages with disabilities (Matthew 25:40). Persons with disabilities we will be serving through the love of Christ include children and adults who face life challenges such as: Intellectual& developmental disabilities Physical disabilities Visual and hearing impairments Behavior disorders Autism spectrum disorders And more. Get involved in this ministry and help us establish and build a special education and rehabilitation center for persons with disabilities in Mukedi (SERCM). This center will provide therapy, mobility equipment such as PET (personal energy transportation) or hand cranked wheelchair, work skills training, pastoral counseling and any other assistance needed for people (children & adults) with disabilities. 11. Other Elements Badly Needed in this Holistic Mission Assignment of Bishop, Dr. Jonas Muyima Donate a Bible to a man in uniform in Gungu and other church members in the villages ($15 for one Bible in local language). Most of the church members do not have a bible or a hymn book due to scarcity of literature in the villages. Donate a motorcycle to a regional evangelist and help him spread the Gospel of Jesus village by village. The cost of one motorcycle is $2,500. We need 4 motorcycles as taxi for the Gospel preacher. Help us ship 10,000 pairs of eye glasses to the needy in the villages ($400 needed for the shipment of a 50 gallon barrel to transport 1,500 pairs of eye glasses). Give children supplies and soccer balls for a school (50 kits of school supplies for $50 each and 20 soccer balls for $7 each). Give a goat or pig to empower a poor family for food production and to earn money for their children s education, health care and other necessities (cost of a goat $60 and $120 for a pair of goats). Give seeds to women for amazing harvests of healthy food such as: beans, garlic, onions, potatoes, carrots, ginger, okra, watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, amaranth, peanuts, millet and more (seeds for one family $25 and seeds for 2 families $50).

Give basic garden tools; wheelbarrow, machete, hoe, and shovel to empower a poor family for good food production ($50 for one family). Help us build and equip a clinic and maternity at Luende Nzangala, a village of 10,000 people (in Idiofa territory). The cost of this project is $15,000. This humanitarian investment will surely save the lives of women and babies in this village and surrounding areas. It will also create jobs for the students at our nursing school in Luende. Help us buy a 4x4 Land Cruiser or a Ford F- 150 Pick up 4- DR/4WD which will be used as a missionary bus. Since 2010 we have been renting a 4x4 Land cruiser at high cost for three weeks of mission. We hope that Bishop, Dr. Muyima will have more freedom and capability to accomplish things in the mission field if we own a Land Cruiser or Pick up truck. This is extremely needed now! COME JOIN US AND BE PART OF THE SOLUTION FOR THESE CHALLENGES! A Special Thank You to Our Mission Partners. We thank God almighty the master of this mission work for all He has done in fulfilling His promises to us throughout these years of labor for his kingdom. We thank our volunteer short-term missionaries; Marvin Arthur Duren, Marvin Wesley Duren, Dwayne Lee Davidson and Jeanne Nightingale for their dedication and sacrifices of going physically to serve the Congolese people in their villages and cities. We are thankful also to our awesome supporters, partners, ANHC board members, individuals and churches. You are all making a big difference! Thank you to you all, because of your help through prayer, financial support and more these amazing projects have been done throughout these years. Your support is still needed and much appreciated to keep the mission work going on.
