3 Scriptures for America Worldwide Ministry From the Ram SFA Greetings to the once lost but now found sheep of the house of Israel! You may have noticed, that I have changed the way I sign my correspondence, writings, and thank you letters; from in Christ s service, to in Jesus the Christ's service. As of late, with all the research I have done regarding the Catholic church, the Holy Spirit convicted me that the Roman Catholic church and the Papacy do not have a problem with using the name Christ. They do however have a big problem with using the name Jesus, Jesus Christ, or Jesus the Christ! Then it hit me, duh! What do they call the Pope? The Vicar of Christ. You see, there can be more than one Christ, but there can only be one Jesus, and only one Jesus Christ! The definition of Christ (in ancient Greek) is Christó's, means anointed. In Hebrew it means Messiah. Searching the Septuagint we find that the word Christ was used to translate into Greek the Hebrew mashiach (messiah), meaning "anointed. Christó's, in classical Greek usage, could mean covered in oil, or anointed, and is thus a literal translation of messiah. We, as true Christians, believe in the Gospel; the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ! And He is our LORD and Savior. We are the only religion that does. By contrast, the Jews do not accept Jesus as their LORD and Savior or messiah; but they still await their messiah s first coming. Judaism rejects the belief that Jesus was (and is) the awaited Messiah, arguing that he did not fulfill the Messianic prophecies in the Tanakh (the early Hebrew Bible). 4 Page 2 While Islam considers Jesus one of God s important prophets, the bringer of Scripture and the child of a virgin birth, they do not regard Him as Divine, or acknowledge the great price that was paid through the crucifixion. The bottom line is that we are in a war of good versus evil. Either you are for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ or you are against it. From the Ram SFA Taught in Public Schools, 2013 School Year! Period. And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. 1 Kings 18:21 KJV Baal had 450 prophets, and Elijah was the only true prophet of God left at that time. The hearts of the children of Israel were halting between two opinions. The Baal priests were the first to call to their gods, and in the heat of the day as well as with the dry wood on the altar, they sought to prove their gods. They called loud and long, and even cut themselves until blood gushed forth, to get their gods to answer by fire. Then, at the time of the evening sacrifice, Elijah repaired the altar by building one of twelve stones and ordered great quantities of water to be poured on the wood and around the altar so as to fill a trench. After doing this he humbly prayed quietly for the LORD to make Himself manifest and to prove to Israel that He was the LORD God Almighty and that He had turned the children of Israel s hearts back again to Him. Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the

And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God. 1 Kings 18:38,39 KJV Time is short. The enemies of God are crafty and sly, manipulating words and names to suit their own desires. They use sorcery, false signs, and false wonders to deceive the people. And, that is also what God Himself will send upon His people who just will not receive a love for the truth. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. 2 Thessalonians 2:11 KJV. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. 6 Page 4 Jesuits. Who or What are They? Jesuits. Just who or what are they? Part 1 In a nut shell, the Jesuits are the military religious order of the Vatican and the Roman Catholic church. To understand the importance of revealing the true Jesuit agenda, we must start at the beginning. It all started with a man named Ignatius Loyola, a Spanish king (born on October 23, died July 31, 1556). He founded the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) on the 19th day of April 1541, and he then became its first Superior General. Ignatius, the official leader of the Roman Catholic religious order, emerged as a leader during the Counter-Reformation (a response to the Protestant Reformation). Loyola's devotion to the Roman Catholic church was characterized by absolute obedience to the Pope. The position is generally addressed as the Father General, also known as the Black Pope (remember that name!). The order is still in existence even today, and the Father General (or Black Pope now) is currently held by Adolfo Nicolas. Nicolas (coincidence to the Nicolaitans? I think not; see the article on the Nicolaitans in this DragonSlayer issue, page 20) was elected on the 19th of January He was only the 30th man to hold the coveted title of the sacred order. Getting back to Ignatius Loyola, after being seriously wounded by the battle of Pamplona in 1521, while recovering from his injuries, he underwent a spiritual conversion (he made a deal with the Devil). He experienced a vision of the Virgin Mary and infant Jesus. And from this, he gave up his military career and sought to be in the service of god (not a spelling mistake here). While praying for days in a cave, he formulated the fundamentals of the spiritual exercises (a set of Christian meditations, prayers, and mental exercises). These he divided into four thematic weeks of variable length, designed to be carried out over a period of 28 to 30 days. This, in a booklet, was formally approved in 1548 by Pope Paul III, the head of the Roman Catholic church from October 13, 1534 to his death in He came to the Papal throne in an era following the Sack of Rome in 1527, an era rife with uncer-

During his Pontificate, and in the spirit of the Counter- Reformation, new Catholic religious orders and societies, such as the Jesuits, the Barnabites, and the Congregation of the Oratory, attracted a popular following. He was also responsible for convening the first Council of Trent in The Council of Trent was an Ecumenical Council of the Roman Catholic church. It is considered to be one of the church's most important councils. The Council issued condemnations on what it defined as Protestant heresies. It was essentially formed to combat the Protestant disputes and solidify the Roman Catholic position regarding Salvation and the Sacraments. It was convened in Trento, Italy; then the capital of the Prince-Bishopric of Trent of the Holy Roman Empire, between December 13, 1545, and December 4, 1563, in twenty-five sessions for three periods. During the pontificate of Pope Paul III, the Council fathers met for the first through the eighth sessions in Trento ( ), and for the ninth through the eleventh sessions in Bologna. The Council met in Trento ( ) for the twelfth to sixteenth sessions, and under Pope Pius IV, the seventeenth to twenty-fifth sessions took place in Trento ( ). The Council issued condemnations on what it defined as Protestant heresies at the time of the Reformation and defined church teachings in the areas of Scripture and Tradition, Original Sin, Justification, Sacraments, the Eucharist in Holy Mass and the Veneration of Saints. It issued numerous reform decrees. By specifying Catholic doctrine on Salvation, the Sacraments and the Biblical

8 Page 6 Jesuits. Who or What are They? Canon, the Council was answering Protestant disputes and entrusted to the Pope the implementation of its work. As a result, Pope Pius IV issued the Tridentine Creed in 1565; and Pope Pius V issued in 1566 the Roman Catechism, in 1568 a revised Roman Breviary, and in 1570 a revised Roman Missal. Through these the Tridentine Mass was standardized (named after the city's Latin name Tridentum). In 1592, Pope Clement VIII issued a revised edition of the Vulgate Bible. Tridentine Creed In accordance with the task of the Council, to defend the church against Protestantism, it professes many important parts of the Catholic faith. It contains the text of the Nicene Creed, along with affirmations of the Catholic church s authority in interpreting the Scriptures, dispensing the Sacraments, assent to the sacrificial nature of the Mass, acknowledgement of Purgatory, fidelity to the Pope, and condemnation of the heresies repudiated by the church. It was revised during the First Vatican Council, and was once used as an oath of loyalty taken by theologians and converts. Roman Catechism; written to expound doctrine and to improve the theological understanding of the clergy. It is primarily intended for priests having care of souls (ad parochos), and it enjoyed an authority within the Catholic church equaled by no other catechism until the Catechism of the Catholic church (1992). The need of a popular authoritative manual arose from a lack of systematic knowledge among pre-reformation clergy and the concomitant neglect of religious instruction among the faithful. Roman breviary: Latin liturgical rites of the Catholic church containing the public or canonical prayers, hymns, the Psalms, readings, and notations for everyday use, (especially by bishops, priests, and deacons in the Divine Office). In general, the word breviary, may be used to refer to an abridged version of any text or a brief account or summary of some subject, but is primarily used to refer to the Catholic liturgical.

Roman Missal: This is the liturgical book that contains the texts and rubrics (ecclesiastical) for the celebration of the Mass (liturgy) in the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church. 1. Rubrics: In education terminology, scoring rubric means "a standard of performance for a defined population." The traditional meanings of the word Rubric stem from "a heading on document (often written in red--from Latin, rubrica), or a direction for conducting church services". 2. Roman Rite: While other rites use more poetic language, the Roman Rite is noted for its sobriety of expression. In its Tridentine form, it was noted also for its formality. The Tridentine Missal minutely prescribed every movement, to the extent of laying down that the priest should put his right arm into the right sleeve of the alb before putting his left arm into the left sleeve. A. Tridentine -The adjective Tridentine refers to anything or person pertaining to the City of Trent, Italy. B. Alb - is an ample white garment coming down to the ankles and is usually girdled with a cincture. It is simply the long linen tunic used by the Romans. In early Medieval Europe it was also normally worn by secular clergy in nonliturgical contexts. The Council of Trent, delayed and interrupted several times because of political or religious disagreements, was a major reform council; it was an embodiment of the ideals of the Counter -Reformation. More than three-hundred years passed until the next Ecumenical Council. When announcing Vatican II, Pope John XXIII stated that the precepts of the Council of Trent continue to the modern day, a position that was reaffirmed by Pope Paul VI. 1. Ecumenical Council: This include 21 councils over a period of 1700 years. While definitions changed throughout history, in today's Roman Catholic understanding, Ecumenical Councils are assemblies of Patriarchs, Cardinals, residing Bishops, Abbots, male heads of religious orders, and other juridical

10 Page 8 Jesuits. Who or What are They? persons, nominated by the Roman Pontiff. They meet to discuss matters of faith and church discipline. Council decisions, to be valid, are approved by the popes. 2. Vatican II: (important) He addressed relations between the Roman Catholic church and the modern world. It was the twenty-first Ecumenical Council of the Catholic church and the second to be held at Saint Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. The council, through the Holy See, formally opened under the pontificate of Pope John XXIII on October 11, 1962 and closed under Pope Paul VI on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in When Pope John Paul XXIII called for the second Vatican council, it shocked the world. There was outrage within the Catholic church members, maintaining that with the definition of Papal infallibility in 1870, further councils were no longer needed. There had not been an Ecumenical Council called for in one hundred years! The Council called to order between twothousand and twenty-five hundred bishops to four sessions, resulting in sixteen documents, with the theme being reconciliation! They allowed for Catholics to pray with other Christian denominations, encouraged friendship with other non-christian faiths, and they opened the door for languages other than Latin to be used during Mass. Others addressed education, media, and divine revelation, essentially opening up the Catholic faith to all of the world. Ever notice how you cannot just read about the Roman Catholic church without having to stop over and over to seek the definition of a word they created? It s almost as if they have their own language, designed to confuse the people and keep them from the truth. Imagine that? For God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV The good news is that, now that we have some of the definitions out of the way, and we have a better understanding of the significance of some of the early church history, we can delve deeper into the mystery of just who the Jesuits are.

In the meantime, take some time and read carefully and ponder this Jesuit Oath (realizing that it has not been 100% proven that it is authentic). Although if you look at the history, as well as the current condition of the churches, as well as the entire world, I believe it to be true! The deception is much deeper than people could have ever imagined. The text of the Jesuit Extreme Oath of Induction is meticulously recorded in the Journals of the 62nd Congress, 3rd Session, of the United States Congressional Record (House Calendar No. 397, Report No. 1523, 15 February, 1913, pp ). It was however subsequently ripped out of the record. "When a Jesuit of the minor rank is to be elevated to command, he is conducted into the Chapel of the Convent of the Order, where there are only three others present, the principal or Superior standing in front of the altar. On either side stands a monk, one of whom holds a banner of yellow and white, which are the Papal colors, and the other a black banner with a dagger and red cross above a skull and crossbones, with the word INRI, and below them the words IUSTUM, NECAR, REGES, IMPIOUS. The meaning of which is: It is just to exterminate or annihilate impious or heretical Kings, Governments, or Rulers. Upon the floor is a red cross at which the postulant or candidate kneels. The Superior hands him a small black crucifix, which he takes in his left hand and presses to his heart, and the Superior at the same time presents to him a dagger, which he grasps by the blade and holds the point against his heart, the Superior still holding it by the hilt, and thus addresses the postulant:" The Superior General speaks: "My son, heretofore you have been taught to act the dissembler: among Roman Catholics

12 Page 10 Jesuits. Who or What are They? to be a Roman Catholic, and to be a spy even among your own brethren; to believe no man, to trust no man. Among the Reformers, to be a Reformer; among the Huguenots, to be a Huguenot; among the Calvinists, to be a Calvinist; among other Protestants, generally to be a Protestant; and obtaining their confidence, to seek even to preach from their pulpits, and to denounce with all the vehemence in your nature our Holy Religion and the Pope; and even to descend so low as to become a Jew among Jews, that you might be enabled to gather together all information for the benefit of your Order as a faithful soldier of the Pope. You have been taught to plant insidiously the seeds of jealousy and hatred between communities, provinces, states that were at peace, and to incite them to deeds of blood, involving them in war with each other, and to create revolutions and civil wars in countries that were independent and prosperous, cultivating the arts and the sciences and enjoying the blessings of peace; to take sides with the combatants and to act secretly with your brother Jesuit, who might be engaged on the other side, but openly opposed to that with which you might be connected, only that the Church might be the gainer in the end, in the conditions fixed in the treaties for peace and that the end justifies the means. You have been taught your duty as a spy, to gather all statistics, facts and information in your power from every source; to ingratiate yourself into the confidence of the family circle of Protestants and heretics of every class and character, as well as that of the merchant, the banker, the lawyer, among the schools and universities, in parliaments and legislatures, and the judiciaries and councils of state, and to be all things to all men, for the Pope's sake, whose servants we are unto death. You have received all your instructions, heretofore, as a novice, a neophyte, and have served as co-adjurer, confessor and priest, but you have not yet been invested with all that is necessary to command in the Army of Loyola in the service of the Pope. You must serve the proper time as the instrument and executioner as directed by your superiors; for none can command here who has not consecrated his labours with the blood of the heretic; for "without the shedding of

Therefore, to fit yourself for your work and make your own salvation sure, you will, in addition to your former oath of obedience to your order and allegiance to the Pope, repeat after me:" This is interesting given the fact that the new Pope is the first self proclaimed Jesuit Pope ever! The Extreme Oath of the Jesuits "I,..., now, in the presence of Almighty God, the Blessed Virgin Mary, the blessed Michael the Archangel, the blessed St. John the Baptist, the holy Apostles St. Peter and St. Paul and all the saints and sacred hosts of heaven, and to you, my ghostly father, the Superior General of the Society of Jesus, founded by St. Ignatius Loyola in the Pontificate of Paul the Third, and continued to the present, do by the womb of the virgin, the matrix of God, and the rod of Jesus Christ, declare and swear, that his holiness the Pope is Christ's Vice-regent and is the true and only head of the Catholic or Universal church throughout the earth; and that by virtue of the keys of binding and loosing, given to his Holiness by my Savior, Jesus Christ, he hath power to depose heretical kings, princes, states, commonwealths and governments, all being illegal without his sacred confirmation and that they may safely be destroyed." "Therefore, to the utmost of my power I shall and will defend this doctrine of his Holiness' right and custom against all usurpers of the heretical or Protestant authority whatever, especially the Lutheran of Germany, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and the now pretended authority and churches of England and Scotland, and branches of the same now established in Ireland and on the Conti-

I do now renounce and disown any allegiance as due to any heretical king, prince or state named Protestants or Liberals, or obedience to any of the laws, magistrates or officers." "I do further declare that the doctrine of the churches of England and Scotland, of the Calvinists, Huguenots and others of the name Protestants or Liberals to be damnable and they themselves damned who will not forsake the same." "I do further declare, that I will help, assist, and advise all or any of his Holiness' agents in any place wherever I shall be, in Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, England, Ireland or America, or in any other Kingdom or territory I shall come to, and do my uttermost to extirpate the heretical Protestants or Liberals' doctrines and to destroy all their pretended powers, legal or otherwise." "I do further promise and declare, that notwithstanding I am dispensed with, to assume my religion heretical, for the propaganda of the Mother Church's interest, to keep secret and private all her agents' counsels from time to time, as they may entrust me and not to divulge, directly or indirectly, by word, writing or circumstance whatever; but to execute all that shall be proposed, given in charge or discovered unto me, by you, my ghostly father, or any of this sacred covenant." "I do further promise and declare, that I will have no opinion or will of my own, or any mental reservation whatever, even as a corpse or cadaver (perinde ac cadaver), but will unhesitatingly obey each and every command that I may receive from my superiors in the Militia of the Pope and of Jesus Christ." "That I may go to any part of the world withersoever I may be sent, to the frozen regions of the North, the burning sands of the desert of Africa, or the jungles of India, to the centers of civilization of Europe, or to the wild haunts of the barbarous savages of America, without murmuring or repining, and will be submissive in all things whatsoever communicated to me."

"I furthermore promise and declare that I will, when opportunity present, make and wage relentless war, secretly or openly, against all heretics, Protestants and Liberals, as I am directed to do, to extirpate and exterminate them from the face of the whole earth; and that I will spare neither age, sex or condition; and that I will hang, waste, boil, flay, strangle and bury alive these infamous heretics, rip up the stomachs and wombs of their women and crush their infants' heads against the walls, in order to annihilate forever their execrable race. That when the same cannot be done openly, I will secretly use the poisoned cup, the strangulating cord, the steel of the poniard or the leaden bullet, regardless of the honor, rank, dignity, or authority of the person or persons, whatever may be their condition in life, either public or private, as I at any time may be directed so to do by any agent of the Pope or Superior of the Brotherhood of the Holy Faith, of the Society of Jesus." "In confirmation of which, I hereby dedicate my life, my soul and all my corporal powers, and with this dagger which I now receive, I will subscribe my name written in my own blood, in testimony thereof; and should I prove false or weaken in my determination, may my brethren and fellow soldiers of the Militia of the Pope cut off my hands and my feet, and my throat from ear to ear, my belly opened and sulphur burned therein, with all the punishment that can be inflicted upon me on earth and my soul be tortured by demons in an eternal hell forever!" "All of which, I,..., do swear by the Blessed Trinity and blessed Sacraments, which I am now to receive, to perform and on my part to keep inviolable; and do call all the heavenly and glorious host of heaven to witness the blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist, and witness the same further with my name written and with the point of this dagger dipped in my own blood and sealed in the face of this holy covenant." He then receives the wafer from the Superior and writes his name with the point of his dagger dipped in his own blood taken from over his heart.

Superior: "You will now rise to your feet and I will instruct you in the Catechism necessary to make yourself known to any member of the Society of Jesus belonging to this rank." "In the first place, you, as a Brother Jesuit, will with another mutually make the ordinary sign of the cross as any ordinary Roman Catholic would; then one cross his wrists, the palms of his hands open, and the other in answer crosses his feet, one above the other; the first points with forefinger of the right hand to the center of the palm of the left, the other with the forefinger of the left hand points to the center of the palm of the right; the first then with his right hand makes a circle around his head, touching it; the other then with the forefinger of his left hand touches the left side of his body just below his heart; the first then with his right hand draws it across the throat of the other, and the latter then with a dagger down the stomach and abdomen of the first. The first then says Iustum; and the other answers Necar; the first Reges. The other answers Impious." (The meaning of which has already been explained.) "The first will then present a small piece of paper folded in a peculiar manner, four times, which the other will cut longitudinally and on opening the name Jesu will be found written upon the head and arms of a cross three times. You will then give and receive with him the following questions and answers:-" Question:- From whither do you come? Answer:- The Holy faith. Q.:- Whom do you serve? A.:- The Holy Father at Rome, the Pope, and the Roman Catholic Church Universal throughout the world. Q.:- Who commands you? A.:- The Successor of St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus or the Soldiers of Jesus Christ. Q.:- Who received you? A.:- A venerable man in white hair. Q.:- How? 22 Page 20 The Nicolaitans The Nicolaitans: who were they? (This was originally brought to the Church remnant in December, It is expounded on in this article.) The Nicolaitans are only mentioned in the Bible twice that I know of, and both are in the Book of Revelations where Jesus warns the seven churches of Asia. The Message to Ephesus "To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this: 'I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot endure evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false; and you have perseverance and have endured for My name's sake, and have not grown weary. 'But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 'Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you, and will remove your lampstand out of its place-- unless you repent. 'Yet this you do have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God. Revelation 2:1-7 (emphasis added) Message to Pergamum But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit acts of immorality. 'Thus you also have some who in the same way hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Revelation 2:14-15 (emphasis added) The word, Nicolaitans, in Greek means followers of Nicolas. The name, Nicolas, means victor of the people.

Some Bible commentators believe they were a heretical sect who followed the teachings of Nicolas, whose name means one who conquers the people, who was possibly one of the deacons of the early church mentioned in Acts 6:5. And the statement found approval with the whole congregation; and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch. Acts 6:5 It is possible that Nicolas became an apostate, denying the true faith and became part of a group holding to "the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Israel to sin." They seem to have held that it was lawful to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit the immoral deeds of the heathen, in direct opposition to the decree of the Church rendered in Acts 15:20. But that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. Acts 15:20 As well as in Acts 15:29: "That you abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication; if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell." Acts 15:29 Mingling themselves in the orgies of idolatrous feasts, they brought the impurities of those feasts into the meetings of the Christian Church. Clement of Alexandria says, They abandoned themselves to pleasure like goats, leading a life of selfindulgence." "And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left." Matthew 25:32-33 Their teaching perverted grace and replaced liberty with license. Still others believe that these Nicolaitans were not so

24 Page 22 The Nicolaitans called from any man, but from the Greek word, Nicolah, meaning "let us eat," as they often encouraged each other to eat things offered to idols. Whichever theory is true, it is certain that the deeds of the Nicolaitans were an abomination to Jesus Christ and His true teachings. They, like the Gnostics and other false teachers, abused the doctrine of grace and tried to introduce licentiousness in its place (there s another word I did not understand). A one-sentence description of Gnosticism is: "a religion that differentiates the evil god of this world from a higher, more abstract God revealed by Jesus Christ, a religion that regards this world as the creation of a series of evil archons/powers who wish to keep the human soul trapped in an evil physical body, a religion that preaches a hidden wisdom or knowledge only to a select group as necessary for salvation or escape from this world." If we judge them by their fruits, we see other excellent examples of what appears to be referring to just that, Nicolaitans and Gnostics in Scripture.

25 Scriptures for America DragonSlayer Volume 8, 2013 The Nicolaitans Page 23 Forsaking the right way they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness, 2 Peter 2:15 Promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved. 2 Peter 2:19 For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Jude 1:4 The Doctrine of Balaam Notice that their teachings are comparable, or the same, as the doctrine of Balaam. Remember Balaam, the arch apostate deceiver and prophet who tried his divine magic against Israel? He later taught the Midianites and their allies to seduce Israel from their faithfulness to God by sending their daughters and wives to use their sexual charms on them, and to entice them to commit immorality. And also to get them to partake of pagan festivities and idolatrous worship, combining paganism with the worship of God, something which God thoroughly detests! The blending of the truth of God with paganism and wicked pagan festivals is known as religious syncretism. Definition of Syncretism: "the combining of different, often seemingly contradictory beliefs, involves the merger and analogizing of several originally discrete traditions, especially in the theology and mythology of religion, thus asserting an underlying unity and allowing for an inclusive approach to other faiths." The Nicolaitans, therefore, were the early Christian-pagan workers of Syncretism, (Jesuits?) the false teachers that crept into the Church, who disguised themselves as followers of Christ, confessing to be His ministers and servants, but who led the people astray. But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought

26 Page 24 The Nicolaitans them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; 2 Peter 2:1-2 We read on in 2 Peter 2: And especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they do not tremble when they revile angelic majesties, whereas angels who are greater in might and power do not bring a reviling judgment against them before the Lord. But these, like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed, suffering wrong as the wages of doing wrong. They count it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are stains and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you, having eyes full of adultery and that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children; forsaking the right way they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness, 2 Peter 2:10-15 (Pre-1961, before Billy Graham bought the rights to the book, another story in itself) Halley s Bible Handbook tells us of the Nicolaitans, that sexual vice was actually a part of their heathen worship, and recognized as a proper thing in heathen festivals. Priestesses of Diana and kindred deities were public prostitutes. The issue had been a troublesome question for Gentile churches from the start, during which great multitudes of heathens had become Christians, and holding onto some of their old ideas, they brought them into their new religion. Working diligently to harmonize these heathen practices with the Christian religion, multitudes of professing Christian preachers and teachers, claiming to be inspired from God, were advocating the right to free participation in many of these heathen immoralities. In Ephesus, however, the preachers and teachers refrained from such teachings. While in Pergamum and Thyatira, although they did not teach such perversion, they did tolerate it within the body. This is represented well in:

And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their deeds. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 As we read on in Revelation 2:20-25, we see that the same practice and teaching of immorality and of idolatry appear in the church of Thyatira, leading to the conclusion that although they are not mentioned by name, the Nicolaitans were probably present in this church as well, ushering in the woman Jezebel who represented the group of apostate heretics. It is a powerful church in conflict with the true Church, masquerading as the true Church. In the warning to Thyatira: "But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray, so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols." Revelation 2:20 (emphasis added) The LORD says of that heathen church, which introduced pagan practices and festivals into its church calendar, Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit ADULTERY [idolatry!] with her into GREAT TRIBULATION, unless they repent of their deeds." Revelation 2:22 (emphasis added) "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel about on sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves." Matthew 23:15 It has become clear throughout Church history that what began as a small sect of heathens, had in the third and fourth centuries grown to become the foundation of a strong dominant church (the Papacy and the Roman Catholic church?) described in Revelation chapter 17 as the scarlet beast, Mystery Babylon.

28 Page 26 The Nicolaitans And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns. Revelation 17:3 Before we continue reading, we must remember that in Isaiah 54:5-6, Jeremiah 6:2 and 2 Corinthians 11:2, Scripture confirms that a woman in the Bible represents a church. The pure woman in Revelation represents God's true Church; therefore the harlot woman in Revelation 17 represents an apostate, fallen church. Continuing on in Revelation chapter 17, we read: And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality, and upon her forehead a name was written, a mystery, "BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HAR- LOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." Revelation 17:4-5 By the middle ages the church had become a great prosecuting church, guilty of shedding the blood of countless true saints, those that would not waver from the True Gospel. And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered greatly. Revelation 17:6 So just what was the main crime that this "church" committed? Spiritual fornication and spiritual adultery! They combined pagan practices and doctrines with the true Word of God, replacing the Biblical teachings of God s Word with corrupt, pagan deceptions and lies; straight from the mouth of satan and the pits of Hell. As the Nicolaitans over the centuries have become more powerful, her apostasy has become full blown. They have worked diligently to change the whole Church. Their desire is to completely replace Almighty God s True Church with their counterfeit, and they have almost succeeded. However, God still has His repentant, baptized, truthseeking Remnant!

They are literally the Synagogue of Satan! In closing: The early Church fathers also spoke of the Nicolaitans. Tertullian (classified as one of the early Church fathers) reports the lust and luxury of the Nicolaitans, cites evidence from Revelation, and adds that there was another sort of Nicolaitan. A satanic sect, called the Gaian heresy, the worship of Mother Earth, which has reared its ugly head today and is rapidly being implemented before our very eyes through the United Nations and Agenda 21; but that s a story for another day! Father, You are our support, our refuge and our deliverer. My God, the living God of Israel is my helper, and in Him I trust; He is my protector and the horn of my salvation. He is my defender. In songs of praise and prayers we will call our LORD and He will save us from our enemies. For who is god besides the Great I AM; who is God save our God? It is Thou, oh God, who girdest me with strength, and made my way spotless; Who makes my feet like those of a hind and who steadies me on high places; Who instructs my hands for battle and has made my arms like bows of steel. He gives me defense for safety. Help us, oh LORD, to pursue our enemies and overtake them and not turn back until they are destroyed. I will harass them that they may not stand and have them fall down under our feet, for thou hast girded me with strength for battle and have subdued all under me that have rose up against me. Thou hast given me the backs of my enemies and has utterly destroyed them who hate me. Although the tares and snakes cry aloud, there is no savior for them. Father, break the teeth out of the evil ones mouths, destroy and frustrate their plans. Drive them far from Your assembly, let dishonor and shame be their cloaks. Repay them double for the false doctrine and leaven that they have fed to Your sheep. Jesus, gather bundle and burn those tares and snakes. We bind them now in Your Name and loose them before Your throne for destruction. Let those enemies who hate You feel Your righteous wrath. Make them, Holy Father, like an oven of fire, and let them shutter at Your presence. May Your wrath confound them and Your fire consume them. Destroy their fruit from the earth and their seed from among the sons of men. Heavenly Father, we praise You. Create in us a clean heart and a right spirit in us.
