It is an adaptation from hristmas andlelight rama by Melody M. Morris. The programme lasts approximately three hours. The prophet Isaiah prophesied that a Light has dawned on the people who were sitting in darkness, and to those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death. (Matthew 4:15-16). John proclaimed the fulfillment of this prophecy the true Light that gies light to eery man was coming into the world. (John 1:9). The Light of od has come into our world! The Light Has ome uses the Biblical account of the birth of Jesus, intertwined with hristmas carols, to proclaim the wonderful news of the coming of the Saiour into the world. The coming of the Light which took place more than 2,000 years ago brought light to all humanity. It transcends race, language, culture and age. ll oer the world, the hristmas season is celebrated with festiities of exchanging gifts, decorating the home, singing of carols and merry making with family and friends. When a person receies the true Light, his/her life would be enlightened. This is the beginning of a new life. The glory of the Lord has risen upon us as hristians. Let us now heed the Word of od to arise, shine; for [our] light has come. (Isaiah 60:1) Let us go forth and shine our light so others may receie this Light too! od Bless IBH Taskforce 2

21 ppendix BRKIN TH BRRIR ILLUSTRTION xplain to the children that we hae a od who is great and who created the unierse! He created the stars, moon, sun, trees, animals, eerything! (Stick the od sticker) Tell the children that one of His first few choices was to create Man. Yes, He created you and me, He created eeryone! (Stick stickers 2, 3, and 4 and write You and Me in blanks 2 and 3) Share with the children that He created us so that He could spend life foreer with us! (Stick the Life oreer sticker) Tell the children that Man chose not to hae life foreer with od; instead Man chose to do things their own way. They chose not to listen to od and instead chose to do wrong. This is called sin. nd by choosing to sin, we choose to build a sin barrier between od and us. (Stick Sin Barrier sticker) Because of our choice to sin, we cannot be with od, because od is holy and pure. nd the more we choose to sin, the more we are separated from od. nd it leads to us being separated from od. (Moe the stickers down to the corresponding spaces at the bottom of the sheet) xplain to the children that because of this separation, we will no longer hae life foreer, but we will instead be led to death foreer. (Stick eath oreer sticker and stick the pink feet stickers from their names to the eath sticker) 39 Help the children understand that we hae tried many ways to get back to od. Sometimes, we try to do good deeds, like helping the elderly, helping my mummy wash the dishes, but no matter how much we do, we will not be good enough for od (Stick the Being ood sticker). Sometimes we choose to turn to other gods, but there is only one true od (Stick the Other gods sticker). Sometimes we also try to be kind to others, but you know what, we still loe ourseles the most (Stick the Being Kind sticker). nd sometimes, we think we can get back to od by choosing to go to church, but going to church is not enough if we are still the same inside (Stick the oing to hurch sticker). Remember, od chose to create you and me. This means that od chose to loe us, and in fact, He still chooses to loe us. He loes us so much that He chose to send His Son Jesus, down to earth. (Stick the half of the cross pointing downwards) When Jesus was on earth, He chose to share with us through miracles and wonders, how much od loes us! But people still chose to sin. o you think Jesus chose to gie up at that time? No, He did not! Jesus chose to show us just how much He loes us by choosing to die on the ross for us! That was the ultimate price He could pay for our sins. nd guess what, Jesus did not stay dead, three days after He died on the ross, He rose again! nd because He was no longer dead, He had power oer death and broke the sin barrier, giing us a way to go back to od again (Stick the other half of the cross pointing upwards). Tell the children that Today, Jesus wants you to know that He chose to loe you, een when you hae done wrong before. He has chosen to be your friend, but He also gies you a choice. Will you choose to allow Jesus into your heart as your riend? Will you choose to allow Jesus to take away your sins and will you choose to follow Him? If the children s answer is Yes, get them to repeat this prayer after you: ear Jesus, thank You for choosing to loe me. Thank You that Your loe for me neer ends. Today I am making a choice. I choose to loe You. I choose You to be my Saiour and my riend. Please forgie me for all the wrong things I hae done. I choose to belong to You.In Jesus name I pray, men 40
