3 Foreword If I miss to read the Holy BIBLE a day, I become like a weak lion whose tooth is plucked. Beloved young readers, warm greetings to you. There are millions of books all over the world which are compiled and written by different authors. Few readers gain wisdom when they read these books. But the only book that speaks to us, when we read it, is the Holy BIBLE. This book is very powerful that it can transform the reader s life and can do wonders and miracles in their lives. How can a book bring such a massive transformation and do wonders? BIBLE is solely written by few dedicated people who were truly inspired by the Holy Spirit. So this book is not of man s mind but it is purely inspired by God and carries His powerful words. This gives hope and strength to the weary and depressed souls irrespective of their circumstances. At the same time this guides how a person must live and corrects him when he goes wrong. This also uplifts and strengthens when we are feeble and depressed (2 Timothy -3:17). King David tells that word of God is a powerful weapon which enables a young man to overcome Satan, lead a victorious and a holy life, if he reads and guards God s word in his heart. If I miss to read the Holy BIBLE a day, I become like a weak lion whose tooth is plucked where it can ferociously roam around but cannot defend itself on its own Man of God. When a person obeys the Word of God, he is able to guard his path with all holiness, though he walks amidst temptations and sins. Whereby he can lead a holy life. This word of God is TRUTH, so when Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will never pass away. - Mathew 24:35 you believe in His word you can escape from the lies of the enemy and lead a successful life. If your foundation is laid strong in the word of God, you will not be shaken. Though the storms may come and the winds may blow your life will not be shaken when you stand in His word (Matthew 7:25). Practically talking, many times we feel reading bible is a waste of time, even if I read I will not understand anything or it s boring to read Understand, this is the lie from the enemy. In my life, the enemy sowed this lie deep in my mind that I will not understand anything that is given in this black book. This book is just like your history book which has histories and you will feel bored and sleepy when you read this book. It won t be exciting and interesting for you to read. These were the lies that the enemy had sown in my life when I was young. I was deceived by these lies till my 9th standard. I read the Bible for name sake and for my parent s compulsion. But the very first time when I read Acts-1:8, I was encouraged. Can I receive power and be strengthened? Vow, that s great. So I started to read this Bible with great desire in order to receive God s strength. As days passed by, I understood the power of this word and started to carry His word to different places. Yes, truly I was strengthened and received His power in my life. Till this day, I can tell you that, this word strengthens, revives, encourages, ignites and moulds me every day. Beloved, this Bible is a love letter from your creator exclusively for you. To refurbish and mould your life more beautifully, read this Bible with great desire. 4 Counsel Roselind Rex Heart Beat I am doing 2nd year B.Com., Although I am born in a Christian family, I m finding it difficult to read the Bible daily. My parents advise me every day, but I have no interest at all to read the Bible. I don t know why, whenever I start reading the Bible, I feel sleepy. Even if I continue to read overcoming my sleepiness, I am not able to understand few portions of the Bible. Also, as I am having my project work and exams, I am unable to allocate a proper time for reading the Bible. If someone asks me if I have read the Bible for that day or not, I feel guilty and ashamed in front of them. Will I be able to read and meditate the Bible daily as many ministers of God do? Kindly advice me. Reuben To stand upright Dear Reuben, I really appreciate you as you have decided to open up your struggle in seeking a solution for it. It s my pleasure to help you in this problem. Reuben, since you are a knowledgeable and a thoughtful person, I would like to ask you a few questions to challenge your thoughts. Do you think that God doesn t know about the challenges and responsibilities that you are going to face in your life tomorrow? Are we busier than our God, who created the heavens and the earth and sustains it till now? The copy of the Bible you are having did not come overnight. God used 40 different persons to write it. He also paved the way to translate the Bible into various languages. Till now, amidst various changes in the world. he has protected and given His Word for us to read and meditate. Should we not understand its importance that it s much more important than our work and studies? Will God ask you to do something which is impossible and irrelevant for you to do? Think about it. I want you to read a verse which Apostle Paul wrote to his disciple Timothy, For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come (1 Timothy 4:8) Paul says that physical training is of some value only, but training for Godliness has greater value for now and for the life to come. I would like to further explain this with an example. Take our Indian cricket team, which recently won the T-20 series against England. After a team is selected for a series, the selected team should undergo various practice sessions before meeting the opponent team. They will be participating for 3 to 4 days continuosly until they are trained well. Apart from this, they will be having individual net practice sessions. Then, they will play a "Warmup match" with the opponents. Our new Indian criket team captain Virat Kohli said in an interview that only when the team has the same winning goal and a personal body fitness, they can win the match as a team. Every cricket player, even during their non-match days, they will maintain a perfect diet and workout a routine to Youth Life 4 march 2017

5 keep themselves fit. If we keenly notice the winning teams, they will have a proper practice sessions and a disciplined effort behind their success. Reuben! If the cricket players take so much effort to win over their opponent, then how much effort should we take to win over our strong opponent, the satan, who is so cunning and deceiving. Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:11-12) For everyone who decides to live holy for the Lord, their only enemy is satan and his troops. He comes only to steal, kill and destroy. His plan is to pull us into the lake of fire. He is the father of lies; deceives and fools us; gives us false promises and traps us into sin. He steals our happiness, hope, and our future and tempts us to commit suicide. Secretly through our thoughts are closed ones, to ruin our lives. If we want to overcome these acts of satan, we should be well-versed in handling the sword, which is the Word of God, the truth, which exposes satan s cunningness. It s all powerful. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17) When Jesus was tempted by satan, He overcame the satan through the Word of God. (Matthew 4:1-11) When a believer meditates the Word of God and obeys it, the satan trembles at him. For that very reason, he keeps you away from the Bible; he has planted false ideas the Bible about in your mind that it will be boring and difficult to understand. I believe that now you would have understood the importance of reading and meditating the Bible. Allocate a particular time and place to meditate the Word of God, which is your spiritual exercise. God is waiting to reveal the truth and to equip you with greater strength to bring down the strongholds of satan. How to get ready for exams? Here are some suggestions to the students who are preparing for their examinations and parents who are helping them To the parents Don t force them to study all day and all night. Staying up all night will weaken their health and concentration. Try to avoid watching TV shows during exam days. Refrain the kids from watching them too. To the students Make a timetable for all the subjects, and allocate lessons for each day. Complete the allotted lessons for that particular day in your timetable. Practice to write your answers once you have learnt them. This helps in retaining what you have learnt. Don t delay your preparations thinking that you have enough time. Start as early as possible and do not waste time Don t stay up all night and study. It affects your health and you will feel tired the next day. Finish it up by 10 pm and have at least 6 solid hours of sleep. Some students do not eat properly during their examination. This is wrong. This will weaken your body. It is necessary to eat healthy and sufficient food always. Youth Life 5 march 2017

6 Testimony Compiled by: Jishya is strength Hin my weakness We finally reached Rachel s house in Tanjore, after crossing all the obstacles in our travel. We were really energized by the hospitality of her family. Her father, Godson, is a pastor in Tanjore and is ministering there for many years with his wife and kids. Rachel s family shared a lot of things about Rachel with us. As we listened to them, it was so evident how God was involved in her life. To our Youth Life readers, this article is about our meeting with Rachel. Rachel, why don t you share with us about your childhood? Hello sister, it s a pleasure meeting you all here. Like my parents said, the Lord has done many, many things in my life. Particularly, when I was just 5 months old, I suffered a brain fever and was admitted in a hospital for 18 days. Around that time, many who had brain fever like me died. My parents prayed for me fervently when the doctors said nothing can be done in my case. The Lord answered their prayer and saved my life. But the doctors said that even if I regain consciousness, my body would incur some level of damage like blindness. Nonetheless, Jesus gave me a complete healing and saved me from the snare of death. That s why I like him so much. Wow! What an amazing thing that the Lord has done in your life! Tell us about your school days Youth Life 6 march 2017 Yes, it is truly a miracle that I am alive today. Very early in my life, I started reading the Bible, prayed and talked to God daily. My parents encouraged me to read the Bible and pray more. That s when I came across the verse - Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. I understood that it is very important to fear the Lord and respect our parents. I am trying my best to obey them till now. When I obeyed the Lord, he gave me wisdom like he promised and blessed me in my education. I did really well in my studies when I was in school. Rachel its evident that you excelled in your studies. How was it during your public exams? I didn t take any special measures for my exams. I believed in Jesus and studied the same day whatever was taught in that day. But I never skipped going to the church because I have to study. I gave the time that I should give to God. That is the reason how I scored 476/500 in my 10th grade and 1023/1200 in my 12th grade exams. The doctors had warned me not to study or put my brain to work, which could give me headaches. But I never had Rachel

7 a headache. Jesus guided me throughout and blessed me in my studies. That s really amazing. How were your college days? Everyone usually hate Maths. But I love Maths. So I chose to do B.Sc. in Mathematics in college. That is when I started getting headaches. I never achieved anything in my school, so my aim was to achieve something during my college. And this headache was a challenge to me. But I was very determined in my prayers with Jesus. Jesus, you are always first in my life. I always obey you and my parents. I have taken up your ministry. Only you should cure me from my headache and heal me. This was my constant prayer to him. He heard my prayers and healed me from my headaches. Not only that, he blessed my education again! Bharadhidhasan University has 250 colleges under it. Jesus not only made me to write my exams well, but I also won a gold medal for the 10th place in the university. Now I am pursuing my first year in M.Sc. Mathematics. Your faith and belief didn t go vain. Are you giving back to Jesus who gave your life back? Something about your spiritual life please? Yes, I am trying my best to not conform to the behavior of this world and lead a holy life for Jesus. I do not have friends as such. Jesus is my best friend. When I am really distressed, I seek my mother s advice. She would encourage me through her prayers. I would join with my sister and lead the worship at our church. I take Sunday school for kids. I am planning to take up full-time ministries once I graduate. Rachel, your testimony truly inspires me. What do you want to convey to the youngsters who read this article? I would like to ask them to pray daily. Seek wisdom from God and concentrate on your studies. Do not focus on your small flaws and lose bigger targets that you have to achieve. When I was young, I used to tell Jesus that he is my study partner and I would study with him. He gave me all the knowledge I needed to Rachel with her family study. I suggest you to hold on to Jesus firmly. Do not forsake the advices and counseling of your parents and always obey them. Jesus will definitely make you successful. I wouldn t have won a Gold medal if I had stood all by myself. Everything is possible through him. It was a delight meeting you, Rachel. 8 Cover Story Roselind Rex God s Word Come Let s Talk Last month Riya is the youth secretary for the past two years in her church. Last month, two youngsters, Sarah and Silas knocked Riya s door with lot of questions in their minds and Riya patiently answered them. As they were satisfied with sister Riya s response, Sarah and Silas accepted the Lord and began to attend the youth meeting every week. Now they came again to Riya s house with more questions. During the reign of Alexander the great, king of the ancient Greek kingdom, the whole of the Old Testament was translated into Greek language with the help of 70 theologians Riya: Welcome Sarah and Silas! You ll are on time, unlike the youngsters these days, who are never punctual! I am so proud of you ll. Sarah: Not so sister. We heard from others that you are punctual and expect the same from others. So we made it a point to be on time. Silas: Sister, I noticed in the last two youth meetings you always questioned others have you read the bible? So today we have come with some questions regarding that. Riya: I think I am in the situation of the governor of Tamil Nadu hmm.. You have come to ask, so please proceed. With the help of the Holy Spirit I shall answer. Silas: I shall question first! Who wrote the Bible and when? Riya: Like the flashback in Tamil movies, look up we are going back by approximately 3500 years. In an interval of 1600 years, of God wrote the Holy Bible by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17). Farmers, Shepherds, Doctor, Tent makers, Priests, Prophets, Kings, Wise men, Philosophers, Preachers etc. have written the bible. Youth Life 8 march 2017 Sarah: 1600 years! Each of them would have written with many years of intervals is it? Riya: Yes Sarah! Though many have written in different situations, there is no contradiction and that s the speciality of the bible. Silas: It s so surprising sister! I ve heard people saying old and New Testament, what does it mean? Riya: Good question Silas. Testament means Covenant or Agreement. So it simply means the old and new covenant made by our Lord with His people. Sarah: In which language was the Bible originally. Written sister? Riya: The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and Aramaic languages and New Testament was written in Greek language.

What is the benefit of reading the Bible every day? The Bible was translated to Latin, Syrian and Coptic languages in the year A.D.180. For those who are newly born in Christ, it is the pure milk to grow (1 Peter 2:1, 3). To grow deeper in spiritual life it s a solid food to meditate more (Hebrews 5:12-14). Those who do not read Bible cannot grow in the relationship with the Lord nor live in His relationship. Sarah: Oh, so much is there! Since my mom and dad ask me to read the Bible every day, I thought that it was just a ritual. Riya: God speaks to us through His word and He gives answers to all your questions. He also helps us in taking the right decision, points to all lies and errors and leads us in the right path. Above all, we will get to know about who But he answered and said, it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. 10 God is and how much He loves us, only when we read the Bible. Silas: Sister, I think our small brain is getting to know some truth now. Without getting angry please answer another question. Why has God written this Bible for us? Riya: Good question Silas. You have a good way of thinking. God gave us the Bible to know Who is our God? How is He? What is His character? What does He expect from us? God has written the Bible and given to us so that we may get to know the One Triune God God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and to worship that One God in spirit and in truth. Sarah: What will happen if we read Bible everyday? 19:7). God s word is a seed, when accepted in the good ground of our heart, it produces the fruit of the Spirit (Luke 8:15) Silas: Sister, youexplained to us in detail about the Bible and the benefits of reading it daily. All these days we have not used the Bible in the right way. It would be helpful if you could tell us how to read it now. Riya: Of course Silas. To know the true incidents in the Bible, you can begin reading from Genesis or Matthew whenever you find time. You can read two or three chapters daily. But meditating on God s word is important. You read an incident or a chapter twice or thrice, make a note of the verse through which God is speaking to you and go deeper by asking questions and the Holy Spirit will Like a fire, God s word burns the filth in us and breaks the false walls built by Satan in our hearts. Riya: Many youngsters consider the Bible as a book of old age because they don t know about it. The verses in the Bible are true. It s not like other books. As it was written by the persuasion of the Holy Spirit, the words speak to us when we read it. As a sharp double edged sword, it will cut all the bad things within us. (Hebrews 4:12). At the same time when you obey the words and resist the Satan, he will flee away from you (Ephesians 6:11, 17). Using the Word of God, Jesus was victorious over Satan (Matthew 4:1-11). It breaks down the walls built by Satan in our hearts (Jeremiah 23:29). God s word is a light to our path (Psalm 119:105); when we are weary it refreshes our soul (Psalm Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Matthew 24:35 Youth Life 10 march 2017 beautifully speak to you and teach you. Write that down in a notebook and obey to the truth that you have learnt. Try to memorize at least one verse per day. When you do this your nature and your character would change. Thereby your life would become a blessing. You will have the beautiful experience of speaking to the creator God, to live a holy life and receive the privilege of going to heaven. Sarah: Sister, please pray that God would help us as we take efforts to read the bible. Thank you sister for taking time to explain to us about the bible. 12 Few testimonies I joined with the Friend of Jesus prayer group and prayed for our country. My father suddenly fainted and rushed to the hospital. Doctor examined him and said his pulse rate is dropping and the situation is critical. I informed it to the prayer group. They prayed as a group. According to the verse By his wounds you are healed God completely healed my father. Hannah Amutha My father was affected by kidney stone in the gall bladder and Jaundice disease. God graciously enabled him to undergo the treatment in a miraculous way. Jeevitha Selvam We prayed for my sister s marriage. God heard our prayers and helped us to conduct the marriage in May 2016 in a wonderful way. Shobana Gnana Pratha By God s grace I scored good marks in 12th std. exam and was able to choose my desired course according to His will. Agnes Freeda God enabled us to build a house and to get loan by His grace. My mother had skin disease. We prayed as a group, and God gave her good health. Every Saturday we gather and pray with the oneness of mind. God has answered our prayers and has done a lot of miracles. 13 Last month, we discussed about the life of a missionary named Jonathan. We saw that he was born in Canada and received Christ when he was just ten years old. He dedicated his life to be a missionary in his early youth. As soon as he finished his seminary, he travelled to China to be a missionary and suffered many difficulties. He had lost his house and four of his children s lives due to a flood. His house was burnt down and the couple had changed 7 houses in 7 years. He was physically attacked during the Boxer Rebellion. He was thrown to a situation where he had to leave China. Amidst of all this tyranny, he stood strong in his faith. We saw in our last issue that he continued his mission even when persecutions pertained. Now Jonathan and his wife Rosalind continued in their missionary journey by going to different places separately preaching the gospel for 8 hours everyday. Even though many were saved, none came forward to be a missionary along with them. The husband and wife were praying particularly for this. One day, a rogue-looking young man who was a drug addict-and-seller, came to meet them. The moment he entered their place, he experienced the touch of God. He gave his life to Christ and became a new creation the very same day. He joined along with them and started doing the missionary work. Together, they led 25,000 Chinese men and women to salvation in their first five months. A revival fire started spreading rapidly among the Chinese. In 1908, Jonathan organized special gospel History Compiled: Jishya Jonathan Revival meetings in West China at Man-Churi. They had previously missioned to many South-Chinese and led them to Christ. At the initial part of the first day s meeting, a lot of church authorities confessed before thousands of people about their malpractices and swindling of church money. They repented tearfully before the believers and to God. Many lost souls, church pastors, believers and many who attended the meeting surrendered their life in tears to God. Many others came to witness whatever happened in those two days. When they saw what was happening, they were convicted. They confessed their sins and surrendered their lives to God. This led to all the churches to be overflown with believers. Revival was spreading like a forest fire in China through not just village missionaries, but through prophesying and through miracles happening everywhere. Jonathan might have died as a single seed to the ground. But his prayers, ministries and his dedication led to the growth of many missionaries arising from China and spread to other places outside it. They are continuing to spread this fire of revival throughout. Every effort and every ministry of Canada-born Jonathan and his wife Rosalind yielded fruits. They changed a communist country like China into a Christian country. Dear brothers and sisters, are you really zealous to stand for Christ in every circumstance? 14 Message Mohan C. Lazarus The Power of God s Word! Beloved youth, I am very happy to meet you through this March month edition. I would like to write to you about the importance of God s word. And, you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free. (John 8:32). The word of God which is the truth will set you free. Your word is truth. (John 17:17) How can we receive the deliverance through the word of God? For the word of God is alive and active. (Hebrews 4:12)It is because our God is powerful. His words are powerful and full of life. Yes. It means it has a life. It can speak to people. That s why we are delivered through it. All Scripture is God-breathed (II Timothy 3:16). The Bible was written by many holy people not with their own wisdom but being filled by the Holy Spirit. That s the reason, the Holy Bible is completely different from other books. We can never compare any book to it. Just like how we cannot compare Jesus Christ to any other God, we can never compare the Holy Bible to any other book in this whole world. Sanctify them by the Truth; your word is Truth. (John 17:17). Only the word of God has the power to sanctify a person. By continuously reading the Bible, a person is cleansed. It is because it has life and power in it and hence makes the person realise the mistakes. There was a Hindu boy who used to regularly attend the Miracle Deliverance Prayer conducted at Nalumavadi every Thursday. He shared his testimony: I belong to a Hindu family. Jesus Christ did a miracle for me. Hence I decided

15 to read the Holy Bible written about Him. The Bible verses made me realise that I was a sinner and I am engrossed in sin. Hence, I confessed my sins and was saved. I dedicated myself to God and began to lead a holy life. How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. (Psalm 119:9). Do you desire to live a holy life? You have to read the Holy Bible and meditate on it. As we begin to read it, it will cleanse us. That is the power of God s word. 24 Biblical Research Leena Avinash 3 GIFT GIFT OF DISCERNMENT Spiritual Gifts "Discernment is God's call to intercession, never to faultfinding". - Corrie Ten Boom Friends, we have been discussing about the gift of wisdom and the gift of knowledge in the previous articles and in this article the gift of discernment which is one among the three revelational gifts will be discussed. This gift is an extremely valuable gift and I encourage you all to desire, develop and exercise this gift.... to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.(1 Corinthians 12:10) Definition The gift of discernment not only helps us to identify an evil or demonic spirit, but it also helps us to discern the Spirit of God. For example Youth Life 24 march 2017 Paul was able to identify the evil spirit inside a girl (Acts 16:16-18) and John s spiritual eyes was opened and had a vision of the resurrected Jesus (Revelation 1:9-18). The discerning of spirits also helps us to understand the true motivation behind a person or a situation. For example, someone may appear to do a good thing, yet we may feel wrong about that person inside. A person who is passionate about the Truth of God may be gifted with discernment. PURPOSE Satan is a father of lies (John 8:44) and he wears the strong suit called DECEPTION. And no wonder for satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). He hides or disguises himself but appears upfront as if he is good and harmless. Hence, the Holy Spirit through His children gives the gift of discernment to protect themselves and the body of Christ from satan s deception. Satan knows that his time is very short (Revelation 12:12) and in these last days he has already started to send many False Prophets and False Christ s. Jesus had also warned about this in Mathew 24:24. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. In order to protect God s children this gift of discernment is given to test the spirits (1 John 4:1).

25 Example from Old Testament and New Testament Elisha was gifted with the spirit of Discernment, but his servant s spiritual eyes were not opened. When prophet Elisha prayed for his servant to open his eyes he saw the fierce army of war like angels had jam-packed the spiritual horizons ready to fight on their behalf (2 Kings 6:17).This is what Elisha wanted his servant to see and God answered his prayer to give the gift of discernment to his servant. One of the most remarkable manifestations of the discerning of spirit in the New Testament occurred to Apostle Paul in the city of Philippi. A slave girl who had an evil spirit of fortune telling was identified by Paul and was casted away from her (Acts 16:16-20). When satan uses such people to deceive Christians and demolish their godly endeavours, God gives the gift of discernment through His people to disclose the evil intent of the people around us. Practical ways in which this gift can be exercised Discerning the Lies - The person with the discerning gift will be able to identify easily the false teaching and false prophecy. Discerning the Will of God - A person with this gift can assist others in seeking the will of God. Discerning the Holy Spirit People who are gifted with discernment will be able to recognize the presence and the work of the Holy Spirit in the believer s life. Discerning Worldliness - satan cunningly replaces worldliness instead of godliness in our culture. The believer with this gift is able to obviously distinguish the worldliness attached to a system. Discerning the Spiritual Gifts - People with the gift of discernment are able to ensure that the spiritual gifts are exercised properly bringing honour and glory only to God. They will be able to discover if the gifts operated are not in agreement with the scriptures. Discerning Wisdom (In 1 Corinthians 6), Paul mentions that believers who are gifted with discerning should lead in settling disputes among believers as they will be able to identify easily what is right and wrong. Discern to Protect - The believer with the gift of discernment should take efforts to protect, direct, teach and shepherd the new and immature believers in God s truth. Dear young readers spiritual gifts should be used not to dominate, manipulate, criticise or tear down the body of Christ rather it should be used to edify each other in the Lord. Spiritual discernment is certainly needed in our churches today to identify the deception work of satan and to expel him. So the gift has to be used under the clear promptings and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Constant practice of studying and meditating the scriptures (Acts 17:11), will help us to detect those conflicting sounds that are not in harmony with the scriptures. So I encourage you to seek, pray and desire for this gift of discernment so that you can be an overcomer and also protect the body of believers in your surroundings. Unpacking Gifts will continue. With a burden to proclaim the gospel to all the scattered Jews, he started his first missionary journey throughout the whole Asia and preached the gospel vigorously. There are many opposition and tribulations in many islands and cities. God not only gave me an open doors for the gospel but also did a lot of miracles and wonders among the Jews and created a huge revival. NOW A JOURNEY WITH PAUL Paul and Barnabas continued in Syria preaching the gospel keeping Antioch as the centre. For all the Christians, Jerusalem church is the main church. Only from there, apostles sent many and preached the gospel to the Gentiles. At that time some brothers came from Judea to Antioch without receiving any command from the Apostles and preached wrongly. They preached that the non Jewish Gentiles must circumcise to become a member in the church according to the Law of Moses. By this He proved that there is no difference between us and the gentiles. Finally, James stood up and came up with the solution for this problem. When the Gentiles come to God, we should not insert useless rituals on them and terrify them. Instead he advised about the ways to live a pleasing life for God, without defiling themselves, and leave all the sinful things and safeguard their holiness. Let us pray for the peace in Tamilnadu. Let us pray against the satanic devise for riot. Let us stand together in the gap for a minute daily to pray for our nation in accordance with the date. Let us pray whole heartedly. Share your testimonies with us YOUTHS 80,000 youths were addicted to smoking just because of passion, style and fashion. Let them be delivered from this addiction. Let us bind the spirit of murder which is destroying our youths. Let us bind the spirit which brings sin in their life and let them guard their holiness. Let us pray for the deliverance of homosex partners and let them repent. Let us pray for the deliverance of alcoholic youths. Let them be redeemed. Let us bind the spirit of lust which brings love affair. Let the Lord protect our youths from unethical relationship REVIVAL Let the fire of revival spread among all the churches in Tamilnadu Let miracles happen in our Church as it was happened in days of Apostle. 30 Thilagavathi I was born in a hindu family and was always affected by some or the other illness during my young age. Due to my constant illness for about 3 years, from 4th std till 6th std, I wasn t able to attend school regularly. Though I am irregular to school, my teachers used to pass me out and promote me to the next class considering my health factor. When I reached 10th std I was in dreadful fear. I used to study well in all the subjects except Maths which I ve always struggled upon. I remember getting just pass marks like 35 or 40 in Maths in a couple of tests which was conducted internally in the class. I don t remember of anytime passing out in this subject during any of the revision exams. Whereas I used to score good marks like 90 and above in all the other subjects.during the last revision exam I was affected by Chicken pox but I still attended my exam. At that time (2014) Jesus Redeems Youth Ministry conducted ACHIEVERS meeting in Tirunelveli which was specifically for students who were appearing for their exams. I attended this meeting with lot of fear towards examination and I was also troubled due to my health condition. The testimonies and the tips on how to appear for the exams was really apt for my situation and I remembered everything what was taught and shown to us during that meeting. I committed and prayed within myself to Jesus during the meeting that I will stand and share my testimony during next year s ACHIEVERS meeting and left from the meeting venue. I started to pray with the prayer card which was given to us during the meeting and also started to prepare myself well to appear for the exams. By the grace of God I wrote all my exams without any fear. God enabled me to score good marks in Maths subject with 74 marks in the Board exam which was a big surprise to me and to all in my family. Now I am studying in class 12 and God has given me good wisdom and knowledge to study well. Praise be to God alone. Preethi Itruly believe that God has rewarded me with good knowledge and wisdom because I sincerely put my heart and soul to build His kingdom. This is my testimony which I would like to share with you all and I believe it will empower and strengthen you to work more to build His kingdom. During my 10th std, I have always had difficulty with the language subject - Hindi and I failed twice during the preliminary exams. I have always had a fear if I would pass in this subject during my board exams. Just before my board exams could start, I attended ACHIEVERS prayer meeting which is specifically conducted only for students who are appearing for their exams. In ACHIEVERS prayer meeting I was able to see few students who had passed out of their exams and we also had motivational talks which strengthened me. We were also given few tips on how to prayerfully appear for the exams and also a good message on how God will bestow His wisdom in our lives when we completely depend on Him. I also volunteer myself to help Jesus Redeems Youth Ministry during the meetings they conduct and I believe that He gave me good wisdom and knowledge to pass out with good marks in my board exam in this subject which I was constantly failing. 31 Womens' Day Over the past several decades there is not a field where women has not made a mark. Their history is full of pioneers who have broken gender barriers and worked hard for their rights and made progress in the field of politics, arts, science, law etc. March 8 We want to focus our spotlight in the lives of women throughout history and around the world who defied stereotypes and broke barriers. Maria Montessori Maria Montessori was an Italian physician, educator, and innovator acclaimed for her educational method that builds on the way children naturally learn. Maria was a sterling student, confident, ambitious, and unwilling to be limited by traditional expectations for women. At age 13 she entered an all-boys technical institute to prepare for a career in engineering. In time, however, she changed her mind, deciding to become a doctor instead. She applied to the University of Rome s Medical Program, but was rejected. Maria took additional courses to better prepare her for entrance to the medical school and persevered. With great effort she gained admittance, opening the door a bit wider for future women in the field. When she graduated from medical school in 1896, she was among Italy s first female physicians. In 1907 Maria accepted a new challenge to open a childcare center in a poor inner-city district. She opened the first Montessori schoolin Rome on January 6, There are now more than 22,000 Montessori schools in at least 110 countries worldwide. Valentina Tereshkova Valentina Tereshkova was born on March 6, 1937 a village in Western Russia. Her father was a tractor driver. Valentina's mother worked in a textile plant. Valentina started school when she was eight years old. She left school to begin working in a textile plant in Valentina became interested in parachute jumping when she was young. She was chosen to be trained as a cosmonaut in the USSR s space program. On Jun 13, 1963, she became the first woman to travel into space abroad Vostok 6. In just under three days, she orbited the earth 48 times. Their daughter, Elena, was born in Elena was the first child born to a mother and a father who had both traveled in space.valentina Tereshkova never made a second trip into space.
