Prayer to Our Lady of Knock Our Lady of Knock, Queen of Ireland, you gave hope to your people in a time of distress and comforted them in sorrow. You have inspired countless pilgrims to pray with confidence to your Divine Son, remembering His promise: Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find. Help me to remember that we are all pilgrims on the road to Heaven. Fill me with love and concern for my brothers and sisters in Christ, especially those who live with me. Comfort me when I am sick or lonely or depressed. Teach me how to take part ever more reverently in the Holy Mass. Give me a greater love of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Pray for me now and at the hour of my death. Amen. Card Reference Code: M102 Remembering Everybody loves to be remembered. But if we want to be remembered we have a duty also to remember. Memory is a powerful thing. Wrongly used it can bring death rather than life. Rightly used it is a form of immortality. It keeps the past alive. Those we remember never die. They continue to walk and talk with us. Their influence is still felt among us. There is nothing stronger or more helpful than a good remembrance. We want you to know that we haven t forgotten you. We remember you, and your memory most definitely brings life to us today. May it also assure us of life for you, that eternal life Christ came to earth to give to us. Cherished Memories Our Lady of Knock Intercede for her M101 Grace O Donnell. March 2nd, 1979 ~ May 12th, Age 29 years. Rest In Peace Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her and may her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in Thee Sample M102 Joe Smith. March 2nd, 1979 ~ May 12th, Age 29 years. Thou hast made us O Lord for Thyself and our hearts shall find no rest till they rest in Thee. Thou hast made us O Lord, for Thyself and our hearts shall find no rest till they rest in Thee. We did not see you close your eyes, We did not see you die, All we knew was that you were gone, Without a last goodbye. It was a sudden parting, Too bitter to forget, Only those who loved you, Are the ones who will never forget. The happy hours we once enjoyed, How sweet their memory still, But death has left a vacant place, This world can never fill. Your life was one of kindly deeds, A helping hand for others needs, Sincere and true in heart and mind, Beautiful memories left behind. Distance takes us far apart And darkens my today. I have to keep remembering - You re just a thought away. When the world is too confusing, Times are hard to bear, I pull your precious meaning, Your bright spirit, from the air. If I sometimes drift into A lonely state of mind, I gather up the memories Of days we left behind. And though you re not beside me, I can tap into my heart And draw upon the warmth and love That lives when we re apart. And with these fond reflections On the times when you were near, I sense a little bit of what It s like to have you here. Card Reference Code: M103 Your life was love and labour, Your love for your family true, You did your best for all of us, We will always remember you. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, He closed his arms around you, And whispered Come to Me! Our lives are all so different now, From what they used to be, All because you are not here, To share our company. Life brings us happiness, But can quickly turn unkind, It brings a grief that s hard to bear, For loved ones left behind. Your resting place we visit, We place some flowers with care, But no one knows the heartache, As we turn and leave you there. Joe Fahy Those who die in grace go no further from us than God and God is very near. M103 Joe Fahy who died on the 12th of December, Age 69 years. All I ask of you is that wherever you may be, you will remember me at Mass and at Holy Communion Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die Card Reference Code: M104 4 God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference. St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina intercede for him M104 who died on the 00th of Month, Age 00 years. You were strong through all your fears, And for you we shed so many tears, Now your suffering has gone away, You are with the Lord this day. Don t remember me with sadness Don t remember me with tears Remember all the laughter We ve had throughout the years. Then when the summer sunshine Awakes the flowers in bloom I ll walk that light from Heaven Around the corners of every room. Do the things we did before The same in every way Just whisper a little prayer to me At the dawn of every day. Just think of me as present Don t think of me as past For a father s love s a blessing In death it still can last. Forget your troubles and your worries They re mine forever more I ll watch and care and love you From Heaven s open door. And when your road gets rough and rocky Or you re down and need a crutch Remember I m right beside you Just an inch too short to touch.

5 The Memorare Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence I fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother, to thee I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy clemency hear and answer me. Amen. We Give Our Loved Ones Back to God We give our loved ones back to God And just as He first gave them to us And did not lose them in the giving, So we have not lost them in returning them to Him For life is eternal, Love is immortal, Death is only a horizon And a horizon is nothing but the limit of our earthly sight. We hold you close within our hearts, And there you shall remain, To walk with us throughout our lives, Until we meet again. So rest in peace dear loved one, And thanks for all you ve done, We pray that God has given you, The crown you ve truly won. IN FOND REMEMBRANCE Remembering Louise IN LOVING MEMORY OF LOUISE KELLY Truly, I say to you, today, you will be with me in Paradise. M105 who died on the 00th of Month, Age 00 years. O Mary, conceived without sin, Pray for us who have recourse to Thee Loved with a love beyond all telling, Missed with a grief beyond all tears. M106 Louise Kelly Greenhills, Ballinteer, Co. Mayo who died on the 25th of July, Age 48 years. Safely Home M107 Louise Kelly who died on the 25th of July, 2008 Age 68 years. No matter how life changes, No matter what we do, A special place within our hearts, Is always kept for you. Mother God bless you, Mother, in your grave God keep you in His care, And may He listen to my heart, And hear my fervent prayer. I pray that you are safe with Him For all eternity: And He will bless you for your love For all your family. May you have peace and rest at last From every care and woe; And may you sleep in comfort from The winds and rains and snow. God bless you for your smiling lips. And all you tried to do, To bring us happiness on earth; And make our dreams come true. And up in Heaven, Mother dear, Please say a prayer for me And for all your family. Death beckoned her with outstretched hand And whispered softly of an unknown land But she was not afraid to go For though the path she did not know She took death s hand without a fear For God who safely brought her here Had promised He would lead the way Into eternity s bright day You know her love is with you still For she loved you in life and always will For love like yours can never end Because it is the perfect blend Of joys and sorrows, smiles and tears That just grows stronger with the years And love like this can never die For you take it with you to the sky So think of your loved one as living above No farther away than your undying love And now she is happy and free once more And she waits for you at eternity s door. Love Doesn t Die Give what s left of me away now that I m gone. Remember me with a smile and laughter And if you need to cry cry for your brother and sister, who walk in grief beside you. And when you need me, put your arms around anyone and give to them what you need to give to me. I want to leave you something Something better than words or sounds. Look at me in the people I ve known or loved or helped in some special way. Let me live in your eyes as well as in your mind. You can love me most by letting love live within the circle of your arms, embracing the frightened ones. Love doesn t die, people do So when all that s left of me is love, give me away as best you can, I ll see you at home, where I ll be waiting. No matter how life changes, No matter what we do, A special place within our hearts, Is always kept for you. Along the road of suffering You found a little lane; That took you up to Heaven, And ended all your pain. You may be out of sight, We may be world s apart; But you are always in our prayers, And forever in our hearts. M108 M OST merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy, You impart Your grace in great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the abode of Your most compassionate heart and never let us escape from it. We beg this grace of You by that most wondrous love for the Heavenly Father with which Your heart burns so fiercely. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon faithful souls, as upon the inheritance of Your Son. For the sake of His sorrowful passion grant them Your blessing and surround them with Your constant protection. Thus may they never fail in love or lose the treasure of the holy faith, but rather, with all the hosts of Angels and Saints, may they glorify Your boundless mercy for endless ages. Amen. Jesus I Trust in You! M151 We have loved him in life, let us not forget him in death M109 Joseph Greene who died on the 15th of February, Age 54 years. I greet you, great Saint, seraph of divine love. I rejoice at the favours our blessed Lord Jesus has liberally bestowed on you. In humility and confidence I ask you to help me, for I know that God has given you love and pity as well as power. Then, behold my distress, my anxiety, my fears. Tell Him my wants. Your requests will crown my petition with success, will fill me with joy. Remember your promise to do good on earth. Please obtain for me from God the graces I hope for from the infinite goodness of our Blessed Lord, especially.. mention your petition here When God was making Mothers, He must have made a fuss He spent a lot of time on one And gave that one to us. Of all the gifts in life However great or small, To have you as our Mother Was the greatest gift of all. Because you were so special No words could ever say How much we love and miss you Today and every day. I m Free Don t grieve for me now I m free, I m following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that peace at close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy, A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow, My life s been full, I ve savoured much, Good friends, good times, a loved one s touch, Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don t lengthen it now with undue grief, Lift up your hearts and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free. We have loved him in life, let us not forget him in death M109 Joseph Greene who died on the 15th of February, Age 54 years. Thou hast made us O Lord for Thyself and our hearts shall find no rest till they rest in Thee. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal. M112 Martina Keane who died on the 19th of May, 2008 Age 88 years. You gave us years of happiness, Then sorrow came with tears, You left us lovely memories, We will treasure through the years. Deep in our hearts your memory is kept, to love, to cherish, and never forget. M113 Paul McGrath who died on the 20th of May, 2006 Age 24 years. A light is from our household gone, A voice we loved is stilled, A place is vacant in our home, That never can be filled. FIELD OF FLOWERS Walking in the Field of Flowers When this life on earth is through Flowers that will never wither In a land that s ever new. All the colours of the rainbow In this place of rosy hue Aches and pains now disappearing Light-foot in the morning dew. In the distance stands the shepherd Waving gently Come to me Let me wipe the tears of sorrow Never more those tears shall be. Grief and sadness left on earth We will mourn for a while Then we ll carry on our journey With the memory of Martina s smile. Tom Heneghan HIS JOURNEY S JUST BEGUN Don t think of him as gone away his journey s just begun. Life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears. In a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today. How nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched For nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. M114 NOVENA PRAYER to the Immaculate Heart O Most Blessed Mother, heart of love, heart of mercy, ever listening, caring, consoling, hear our prayer. As your children, we implore your intercession with Jesus your Son. Receive with understanding and compassion the petitions we place before you today, especially...(special intention). We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer. We trust to your gentle care and intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting. Help all of us, Holy Mother, to bear our burdens in this life until we may share eternal life and peace with God forever. Amen. of MARY Thou hast made us O Lord for Thyself, and our hearts shall find no rest till they rest in Thee. Sample M114 who died on the 00nd Month, 0000 Age 00 years. Your life was one of thoughtful deeds, A helping hand to others needs, Sincere and true in heart and mind, Wonderful memories you left behind. When I Must Leave You When I must leave you for a little while, Please do not grieve and shed wild tears, And hug your sorrow to you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile, And for my sake and in my name, Live on and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer, And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near. And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky. 6 M115 Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes O Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, you are the refuge of sinners, the health of the sick, and the comfort of the afflicted. You know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings. By your appearance at the Grotto of Lourdes you made it a privileged sanctuary where your favours are given to people streaming to it from the whole world. Over the years countless sufferers have obtained the cure for their infirmities - whether of soul, mind, or body. Therefore I come to you with limitless confidence to implore your motherly intercession. Obtain, O loving Mother, the grant of my requests. Through gratitude for Your favours, I will endeavour to imitate Your virtues, that I may one day share in Your glory. Amen. You were strong through all your fears, And for you we shed so many tears, Now your suffering has gone away, You are with the Lord this day. Miss Me But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom filled room ~ Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared ~ Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take And each must go alone. It s all a part of the Master s plan ~ A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart Go to the friends we know And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds ~ Miss me, but let me go.

You'll Never Walk Alone When you walk through a storm, Hold your head up high, And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of a storm, There's a golden sky, And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Though your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, And you'll never walk alone... Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, And you'll never walk alone... You'll never walk alone. You were so very special and had the nicest ways, You did so very much in life and never asked for praise. Remembering you is easy, we do it every day, But losing you is the heartache, that never goes away. You had a smile for everyone, you had a heart of gold, You left the sweetest memories, the world could ever hold. Life goes on that s true, but it s not the same without you. Softly the leaves of memory fall, Gently we gather and treasure them all, Unseen, unheard, you are always near, So missed, so loved, so very dear. IN LOVING MEMORY OF NAME Safely Home M121 who died on the 00th of July, Age 00 years. No matter how life changes, No matter what we do, A special place within our hearts, Is always kept for you. God called your name so softly, That only you could hear; And no one heard the footsteps, Of angels drawing near. The golden gates stood open, God saw you needed rest; His garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. M121 FOOTPRINTS ONE night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky floated scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said once I decided to follow you, you d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me. The LORD replied, My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you. Loved with a love beyond all telling. Missed with a grief beyond all tears. Those who die in grace go no further from us than God and God is very near. M122 Alison Greene Greenhills, Ballinteer, Co. Mayo who died on the 18th of January, Age 58 years. The Golden Gates stood open, God saw you needed rest, His garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. O Sweet Jesus, for the sake of Thy Bitter Passion and the sorrows of Thine Immaculate Mother, have mercy on her soul and let the light of Thy Countenance shine upon her. Fold her O Jesus in Thine arms and let her henceforth be a messenger of love between our human hearts and Thee. 8 M128 You were so very special and had the nicest ways, You did so very much in life and never asked for praise. 9 Safely Home I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last. Did you wonder I so calmly Trod the valley of the shade? Oh! but Jesus love illumined Every dark and fearful glade. And He came Himself to meet me In that way so hard to tread; And with Jesus arm to lean on, Could I have one doubt or dread? Then you must not grieve so sorely, For I love you dearly still; Try to look beyond earth s shadows, Pray to trust our Father s Will. There is work still waiting for you, So you must not idly stand; Do it now, while life remaineth You shall rest in Jesus land. When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; Oh, the rapture of that meeting, Oh, the joy to see you come! Safely Home I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! M131 NAME ADDRESS WHO DIED ON 00 MONTH 0000 AGE 00 YEARS. A Letter from Heaven I am writing this from Heaven, where I dwell with God above, Where there are no more tears or sadness, there s just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy, just because I m out of sight, Remember I am with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me, and He said I welcome you. God gave me a list of things He wished for me to do, And foremost on that list, was to watch and care for you. And I will be beside you every day, week and year, And when you re sad I ll be standing there to wipe away the tear. And when you lie in bed at night, the day s chorus put to flight, God and I are close to you every moment of the night. When you think of my life on earth and all those living years, Because you re only human, they re bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain; Remember there would be no flowers unless there was some rain. May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the Palm of His hand. M129 M130 M131 Standard Memorial Cards Today and every day. A smile for all, a heart of gold, The very best this world could hold, Never selfish, always kind, Those are the memories you left behind. M132 Softly in the morning, You heard a gentle call, You took the hand God offered you, And quietly left us all. The day you left us father, Our hearts just broke in two. The smallest part is still with us, And the biggest part with you. For the rest of our lives, We will miss you father. Our secret tears still flow. Oh, how we really loved you, No one will ever know. Our Lady of Knock Pray for Us To live in the hearts of those we love is not to die.
