Pastor Scott Velain THE DIVINITY OF THE MESSIAH It has come to my attention my friends That we as true Bible believing Christians are under attack. Those of us who have turned back to the truth of our God breathed Scriptures, are attacked daily by those who still choose the wisdom of men over the wisdom of God. There are those of us who have turned back to the truth of our God breathed Scriptures, and yet to this very day, we are allowing those who still deny the true seventh day Sabbath of God, and still deny that our Messiah died on Passover day, and still deny that our father s commandments, precepts, laws, and appointments still stand to this day to tell us that we who have turned back to the God breathed Scriptures of our Father in heaven, are denying the divinity of our Messiah. Nothing angers me more my friends, then to hear some ignorant and the unstudied professing Christian telling me that we who have turned back to our God breathed Scriptures are denying the divinity of our Messiah who is Yeshua Hamashiach, the only begotten son of the one true God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. Nothing angers me more, than to hear that those of the Catholic persuasion, are winning back our weak and the feeble brothers and sisters who are weak and feeble, because they do not study the word of God for themselves. Even amongst ourselves we find brothers and sisters who are all too ready to return like a dog to their vomit, back to the bondage that they were just delivered from. They know that our Messiah did not die on Good Friday. They know that the seventh day Sabbath is not on the first day of the week. They know that our Father s laws, commandments, precepts, and appointments still stand. And yet They will continually listen to men who are affiliated with these denominational charters of men who teach and preach the wisdom of men and their so-called early church fathers. They themselves deny who the only begotten son of God truly is in order to lead God s people away from him. They do it in order to erase the Father. They do it to take away the power, and the authority, and the eternal Majesty of the one true God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and to replace him with his Son, who never said that he was God his Father. And then they wrongly preach and teach that because Yeshua is really the Father, that we re all once saved always saved, and do as thou wilt is now the whole of the law so it really doesn t matter how you live or what you do. There is a reason that they teach that there is only Jesus, and that Jesus is God and that God is Jesus. You see they don t want the God of the Old Testament to exist. They don t want to deal with the God of the Old Testament. All 1

they want is their own version of Jesus. And I say their own version of Jesus because their Jesus is not the Jesus found in the Scripture! Our Messiah tells them very clearly that he did not come to abolish the law or the prophets, he came to do them. And that not the crossing of a t or the dotting of an I would pass from his father s law until heaven and earth pass away and all things are accomplished, which clearly does not happen until Revelation chapter 21. But you see that s not what they teach. If God is Jesus and Jesus is God as they say this allows them to only deal with what their version of Jesus said. Now they can completely ignore and negate anything that our father in heaven said because he has been replaced by their version of Jesus. And they will viciously point the finger at anyone of us who have turned back to our God breathed Scriptures as our authority, and left behind the authority of men and the idea that our father in heaven has been replaced by his Son. There is not one place in our Scripture that we will find that our Messiah ever said the words I am God. It s not in there, and you can t find it, and the reason you can t find it Is because it s not in there, and yet this is the deception that they will preach in order to hide the true identity of the only begotten Son of God who is Yeshua Hamashiach. I know that we looked at this just this last week but I want to revisit the Scripture again just in case someone new may find this particular teaching online. John 5:19-23: Joh 5:19 So Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. Joh 5:20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel. Joh 5:21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. Joh 5:22 For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, Joh 5:23 that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. Some of what today s modern-day version of Christianity will teach you and your children is that our Messiah was an Angel came down from heaven. Some of them will teach you that our Messiah was a preexistent God came down from heaven. Some of them will teach you and your children, that our Messiah was God himself who came down to murderer himself on a across so that God himself could atone for the sins of man who sinned against God. I would submit to you my friends that none of these things are found within our Scripture. Our Messiah never taught anyone any one of these man-made, man created, man fabricated, demonically inspired doctrines. If anyone is trying to steal the divinity of our Messiah who was given all authority in heaven and on earth by his Father it is these people, who continuously attack those of us who hold 2

fast, and stand on the authority of our God breathed Scriptures. Now with that being said Before we move forward I want to very clearly, and concisely, condemn those, who try to proclaim that we who choose to believe in the authority of our Father s God breathed Scriptures are denying the divinity of our Messiah. Just because we believe what the Scripture says over what they are saying, does not give them the right to proclaim things that are scripturally untrue. And I publicly, and forthrightly rebuke, and condemn the wickedness of their wrongful, and unscriptural accusations before both God and man. It s time to take Christianity back my friends. It s time to stop dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight. This is not the time to hold hands and sing kumbayah with every devil that decides to dress themselves up as an Angel of light. If we ve said it once, we ve said it 1000 times truth does not come from any pastor, priest, Bishop, or Pope. It comes from the Ruach Hakodesh of the one true God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and his only begotten Son. We truly do love our brothers and sisters even those brothers and sisters who only have half the truth. We understand that being saved is a lifelong journey, and not a 62 nd prayer of confession down the front of the aisle. And so, it is today that we will once again contend for the faith. Now With that being said Let s take a close scriptural look at the divinity of the only begotten son of God, who is Yeshua Hamashiach, also known as, and I quote The son of man (we ll come back to this phrase as we move forward). The first thing that I want to do before we get started here today, is to identify the proper definition of the word Divinity. The Definition of Divinity : divinity [dih-vin-i-tee] Spell Syllables Examples Word Origin See more synonyms on Thesaurus.com noun, plural divinities. 1. the quality of being divine; divine nature. 2. deity; godhood. 3. 3

a divine being; God. 4. the Divinity, (sometimes lowercase) the Deity. 5. a being having divine attributes, ranking below God but above humans: minor divinities. 6. the study or science of divine things; theology. 7. godlike character; supreme excellence. Notice my friends That the very word Divinity is not only used to describe the one true God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. The word divinity is a word that also describes someone having divine attributes. Someone ranking below God but above humans. Even minor divinities. So, before we move forward, I want us to understand the proper definition of the word Divinity. The very word Divinity has been reformed, and reshaped, to be used as a weapon against those who know that the son of God does not sit on the throne of God But on his own throne At the right hand of God, who is his father. So now that we can finally know, and understand the true definition of the word Divinity, we can move forward in better understanding the actual divinity of our Messiah who was given his divinity by his Father whom he sits at the right hand of in his father s kingdom in heaven according to the Scripture. One of the first things that I want us to understand is that today s modern-day theologians and their early church fathers, and their man-made council of Nicaea, were influenced by the doctrine of the Gnostics. They believed in their small minds, that in order for our Messiah to have been the Redeemer It was necessary for him to have transcended creation. They teach that our Messiah was an uncreated being, and they completely reject the scriptural fact that he came from the very body, and the very loins, of our Father s beloved servant David. It is these so-called early church fathers and there Nicene Council, that wrongly assume that our Messiah had to be uncreated and that he had to be eternal, and fully God in order to be the Redeemer. But what they did not understand, is that God himself did not sin against man. Man had sinned against God. God had no reason to come down to the earth and crucify himself on a cross for the sins of man. It was man who sinned against God, and man who had a price to pay not God. And we re going to prove throughout the Scripture that our Messiah was indeed a flesh and bone man created by his Father moganas begotten created by his father from the very body, and the loins of our father s beloved servant David. We are going to prove that our Messiah came from the house of David, and the tribe of Judah. We re going to prove that he was indeed a flesh and bone man, and that it was David s throne who God said would rule forever. Not an Angel s throne, not the throne of an immortal heavenly being who came down to earth, but David s throne, and David s throne alone. We are also going to prove 4

that our Messiah himself Did not create all things specifically, nor is our Messiah the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, but is exactly who is red letter words say he is The son of God. And we will also prove that none of this does away with, negates, or tosses to the wind The divinity of our Messiah. The truth Does nothing but exult the divinity of our Messiah, who was given that divinity by his Father in heaven. THE IMPORTANCE OF A RESSURECTED MAN: It is imperative that we understand that only the sacrifice of a flesh and bone man could possibly have atoned for the sins of flesh and bone men according to the Scripture. Gen 3:15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel. Once again it is prophesied here in the book of Genesis, that it would be the offspring of the woman who would bruise the serpent s head. Not an Angel, not an immortal divine being, and not God himself directly But the offspring of a woman. And it was only a flesh and bone man that could have accomplished the atonement of the sins of humankind. And it was only a flesh and bone man that our father in heaven could have resurrected in this way. And it was this very resurrection, that caused such a heated battle back in the days of the apostles. Listen to what Paul tells the church at Corinth in Corinthians 15:12-19: 1Co 15:12 Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 1Co 15:13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 1Co 15:14 And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. 1Co 15:15 We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. 1Co 15:16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. 1Co 15:17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. 1Co 15:18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 1Co 15:19 If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. The resurrection of this flesh and bone man was exactly what caused a lot of the Jewish leadership to fall away. The argument concerning the resurrection still lives on to this very day. Something else that is very profound that we find in the pictures is the fact that according to the Scriptures Angels cannot die. Luke 20:34-36 Luk 20:34 And Jesus said to them, The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, Luk 20:35 but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, 5

Luk 20:36 for they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. Only flesh and blood men can die. Therefore only flesh and blood men can be resurrected from the dead. Therefore for our Messiah to be able to die and then be resurrected he had to be a flesh and bone man, not an Angel, and not God (who also cannot die). Although our Messiah did have the spirit of God dwelling within him just as we who are saved have the spirit of God dwelling within us our Messiah was exactly who he said he was The Son of God. Anyone stating anything more, or less than this is simply calling our Messiah a liar. Our Messiah Was a flesh and bone man, and he According to the Scriptures was created from the body of God s faithful servant David. Second Samuel 7: Sa 7:12 When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. 2Sa 7:13 He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 2Sa 7:14 I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. When he commits iniquity, I will discipline him with the rod of men, with the stripes of the sons of men, 2Sa 7:15 but my steadfast love will not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you. 2Sa 7:16 And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me. Your throne shall be established forever. Now my friends What s important to understand here is that this is not the only Scripture that proclaims that it would be the throne of David that would be established forever. Let there be no doubts in our minds, that according to our Father, it would be the throne of David that would be established forever. Not the throne of an Angel, not the throne of the preexistent immortal being, and not the throne of God God s throne was already well established, and existed long before the throne of David. My friends I must say That much of this is simply going back to the milk of God s word. Let s turn to second Samuel 6:21: 2Sa 6:21 And David said to Michal, It was before the LORD, who chose me above your father and above all his house, to appoint me as prince over Israel, the people of the LORD and I will celebrate before the LORD. 1Ki 8:16 Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there. But I chose David to be over my people Israel. 2Ch 6:5 Since the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be 6

there, and I chose no man as prince over my people Israel; 2Ch 6:6 but I have chosen Jerusalem that my name may be there, and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel. Psa 89:3 You have said, I have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have sworn to David my servant: Psa 89:4 I will establish your offspring forever, and build your throne for all generations. Selah Psa 89:5 Let the heavens praise your wonders, O LORD, your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones! Psa 89:6 For who in the skies can be compared to the LORD? Who among the heavenly beings is like the LORD, Psa 89:7 a God greatly to be feared in the council of the holy ones, and awesome above all who are around him? 2Sa 23:1 Now these are the last words of David: The oracle of David, the son of Jesse, the oracle of the man who was raised on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel: 2Sa 23:2 The Spirit of the LORD speaks by me; his word is on my tongue. 2Sa 23:3 The God of Israel has spoken; the Rock of Israel has said to me: When one rules justly over men, ruling in the fear of God, 2Sa 23:4 he dawns on them like the morning light, like the sun shining forth on a cloudless morning, like rain that makes grass to sprout from the earth. 2Sa 23:5 For does not my house stand so with God? For he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things and secure. For will he not cause to prosper all my help and my desire? Listen to these words my friends Pay close attention to whose throne it is that God will establish in the last days. It is indeed the throne of his faithful servant David. Not according to some early church father, not according to some Bible commentator, not according to some denominational charter of men, not according to the Council of Nicaea, but according to the Scripture and the Scripture alone. 1Ki 2:1 When David's time to die drew near, he commanded Solomon his son, saying, 1Ki 2:2 I am about to go the way of all the earth. Be strong, and show yourself a man, 1Ki 2:3 and keep the charge of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn, 7

1Ki 2:4 that the LORD may establish his word that he spoke concerning me, saying, If your sons pay close attention to their way, to walk before me in faithfulness with all their heart and with all their soul, you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel. Now when the Israelites did not obey the commandments of our father in heaven there was no man on the throne of Israel. But I would submit to you my friends that just because man had broken his promise to God does not mean that God had broken his promise to David. To this very day my friends we now have our Messiah who was and I quote A man, sitting on the throne of Israel. Psa 89:20 I have found David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him, Psa 89:21 so that my hand shall be established with him; my arm also shall strengthen him. Psa 89:22 The enemy shall not outwit him; the wicked shall not humble him. Psa 89:23 I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him. Psa 89:24 My faithfulness and my steadfast love shall be with him, and in my name shall his horn be exalted. Psa 89:25 I will set his hand on the sea and his right hand on the rivers. Psa 89:26 He shall cry to me, You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation. Psa 89:27 And I will make him the firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. Psa 89:28 My steadfast love I will keep for him forever, and my covenant will stand firm for him. Psa 89:29 I will establish his offspring forever and his throne as the days of the heavens. Shall we keep going my friends? Because we could go through this all day and all night. Jer 33:17 For thus says the LORD: David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel, Jer 33:18 and the Levitical priests shall never lack a man in my presence to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings, and to make sacrifices forever. My friends according to the one true God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel. And the Levitical priests shall never lack a man in God s presence to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings, and to make sacrifices forever. That man Is Yeshua Hamashiach, the only begotten son of God, whom God created from the loins of his faithful servant David. And these things my friends are written all throughout the Scripture. First Kings chapter 8 verse 16 Psalms 78 verse 70, Psalms 132 versus 8

11 through 12, first Kings eight verses 25 through 26, second Chronicles 6 versus 16 and 17, need I go on? Are we removing, or taking away from the divinity of our Messiah who was a Jew, who came from the house of David, and the tribe of Judah or are we exulting the truth of who our Messiah is, and acknowledging his divinity through the divine power that our father in heaven gave to his only begotten son, just as we are told in the Scripture? My friends even the devil knew who our Messiah was in Matthew four verse three. And even the Roman centurions new that are Messiah was the son of God in Matthew 27 verse 54. Mark 1:1: Mar 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. But not only was our Messiah known as the son of God. He was also known as the Son of Man. Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. Dan 7:14 And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed. Our Messiah himself, referred to himself as, and I quote The Son of Man. Mark 2:23-28: Mar 2:23 One Sabbath he was going through the grainfields, and as they made their way, his disciples began to pluck heads of grain. Mar 2:24 And the Pharisees were saying to him, Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath? Mar 2:25 And he said to them, Have you never read what David did, when he was in need and was hungry, he and those who were with him: Mar 2:26 how he entered the house of God, in the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those who were with him? Mar 2:27 And he said to them, The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Mar 2:28 So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath. Notice how our Messiah makes a direct correlation between David and himself. Notice also in verse 28, that our Messiah refers to himself as the Son of Man who is lord even over the 9

Sabbath. Why is the Son of Man Lord over the Sabbath? Because his father gave him all authority in heaven and on earth. Now my friends I just want to ask you a simple question Who are we to question who our Father gives authority to? There are those men here on earth who will rebuke the fact that our Father gave his only begotten son all authority in heaven and on earth unless their criteria is met. And less Jesus was preexistent unless Jesus was God himself unless Jesus was God he can t have authority over heaven and earth they will probably proclaim. As for me and my house we already know that we have no power nor do we have the authority to question who God gives all authority in heaven and on earth to. If our Father in heaven says you have authority then you have authority. End of story. No criteria needed from us. The Pharisees challenged our Messiah by trying to say that his disciples were breaking the Sabbath by plucking heads of grain as they made their way through the grainfields. But there was nothing unlawful about what they were doing. The law says that you are not to harvest on the Sabbath but it does not say anything about plucking a few grains as you walking through the field. The Pharisees had added to the word of God. They had added their own laws and commandments, and this is exactly what our Messiah rebuked them for all throughout Matthew chapter 23. And this is why it is written that they had made void the word of God in order to hold onto their own traditions. It is also written that our Messiah had told them that they would travel across land and sea to make a single proselyte and when they had made them a follower he would be a twofold child of hell more so than themselves in Matthew chapter 23 verse 15. Our Messiah is very clear about who he is if we will simply listen to his red-letter words let s turn to Mark 14:21: Mar 14:21 For the Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born. So once again my friends, we can either listen to the babblings and the ramblings and the fruitless doctrines, theologies, and philosophies of men or we can listen to our Messiah s redletter words who says that he is indeed and I quote The Son of Man. He was indeed created as a man by his Father who created him from the loins of his beloved servant David, who was a man. First Timothy 2:5-6: 1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1Ti 2:6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. Even in the Old Testament my friends, this man, who would come from the loins of David, was prophesied about. Even Moses himself prophesied about this flesh and bone man who would 10

come from the Israelite people themselves. John 5:46-47: Joh 5:46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me. Joh 5:47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words? Let s hear those words of Moses found in Deuteronomy 18:15-19: Deu 18:15 The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers it is to him you shall listen Deu 18:16 just as you desired of the LORD your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God or see this great fire any more, lest I die. Deu 18:17 And the LORD said to me, They are right in what they have spoken. Deu 18:18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. Deu 18:19 And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him. Notice once again my friends that even Moses tells the people that their Messiah would come from their own brothers. In fact he says it twice, in verse 15, and then again in verse 18. So once again my friends I would submit to you, that those who say that our Messiah came from anywhere else are not only calling our Messiah a liar They are also calling Moses a liar, and David a liar, and God himself a liar. And yet they claim that it is we who believe what the Scripture say that are taking away from the divinity of our Messiah. I would like us to also turn to Acts 13:21-23: Act 13:21 Then they asked for a king, and God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. Act 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will. Act 13:23 Of this man's offspring God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus, as he promised. Once again my friends just in case we missed it Of this man s offspring God has brought to Israel a Savior, Yeshua, as he promised. Promised who? Promised David. Now there are those who will say that Yeshua preexisted David. They will try to lead us to believe that it was our Messiah who created all things. And I will readily agree, that there are many Scriptures that allude to this train of thought. But what we must understand, is that our Messiah was the word of God made flesh. And the word of God did indeed precede our Messiah 11

and David both. One of these very perplexing Scriptures is found in John 1:1-4: Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with God. Joh 1:3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. Joh 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The man Yeshua, did not precede the man David. But the word of God did, and it was the word of God that created all things. Once again, I like to take us back to the book of Genesis chapter 1: Gen 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Gen 1:2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light, and there was light. Gen 1:4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. Gen 1:5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. Gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters. Gen 1:7 And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so. Gen 1:8 And God called the expanse Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day. Gen 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear. And it was so. Gen 1:10 God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good. Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth. And it was so. Gen 1:12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Gen 1:13 And there was evening and there was morning, the third day. Gen 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, 12

Gen 1:15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth. And it was so. Gen 1:16 And God made the two great lights the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night and the stars. Gen 1:17 And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, Gen 1:18 to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. Gen 1:19 And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day. Gen 1:20 And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens. Gen 1:21 So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Gen 1:22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth. Gen 1:23 And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day. Gen 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds. And it was so. Gen 1:25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Gen 1:26 Then God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Gen 1:28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. Gen 1:30 And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food. And it was so. Gen 1:31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. 13

Was Yeshua, the only begotten son of God, an immortal being who was preexistent, and separate from David? And did Yeshua himself make all things? If we understand our Messiah to be the word of God made flesh then yes one could rightly say that it was Yeshua who made all things. Because the word of God has always been with God. That part of our Messiah was truly used to create all things. This is the part of his father that had been embedded in his only begotten son. The word of God is what God spoke. God spoke And it was so. And so, because our Messiah was indeed the word made flesh it could be said that all things were created through him, because all things were created through the word of God. But the created man who was the only begotten son of God was not always with God according to the Scriptures, because according to the Scriptures God created his only begotten human son from the loins of his beloved servant David. Once again, my friends it s important to understand when our Messiah and his apostles were speaking in the flesh, versus when they were speaking in the spirit. A better way to understand this teaching is to understand that our Messiah was born of both his mother and his father. Our Messiah was referred to as both the son of God and The Son of Man. Our Messiah was part of his mother Mary who was a direct descendent in the lineage of David. But our Messiah was also the word of God who was made flesh. Therefore, it is not incorrect to say that the word of God did not proceed David, because we know that the word of God is what God used to create all things. It was his word, that he spoke, that created the world. In that way Our Messiah did precede David. Not in the flesh, or in his being, but in the word of God, that Yeshua was before he was made flesh. The word of God has always been known to be a living breathing word. The word of God has always been honored. The word of God has always been worshiped. The word of God has always been true because God cannot lie. It is even often said that our Bibles are the living breathing word of God. With this understanding, all things can be reconciled to the Scripture. Without this understanding, we only have half of the truth. And I know that this can be difficult for people who are not spiritually enlightened to understand. I get that. I understand that. But I also know and understand that anyone who asks for the discernment to understand from our Father and his only begotten Son will understand. He s not trying to hide things from us he s just waiting for us to ask him for the discernment to understand. And he s waiting for us to trust in him and his God breathed Scriptures, and to choose his understanding, over man s understanding. Was the spirit of the one true God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob in his only begotten son? We all know that it was according to the Scripture. But we also know according to the Scripture, that the spirit of our Father in heaven left his only begotten Son just before that ultimate sacrifice was made. The Scripture tells us what the last spoken words of our Messiah were. Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani,,, Matthew 27:46: Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, 14

Eli, lema sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? During those last few minutes of our Messiah s life here on earth, you can be sure that as his breath was leaving his body, and his sight was leaving his eyes, and things began to grow dim his Father in heaven had to leave him so that his human body could be that human sacrifice that was required of mankind for sinning against God. The spirit of our father had to leave his only begotten son who had chosen to be our Passover Lamb. Second Corinthians 5:20-21: 2Co 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 2Co 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Believe it or not There are those who think that God came down to be sin according to the Scripture. Notice what the Scripture says my friends. It says and I quote for our sake He Made him To be sin who knew no sin. In other words, he God made him Yeshua to be sin. Is that hard to understand? Nowhere in your Scripture will you find that God ever made himself to become sin. There is a biblical distinction between the father and his only begotten son that needs to be acknowledged by all who seek the truth. And we see it over and over again throughout the Scriptures. There should be no doubt in any Christians mind why it is said that our Messiah prayed in the garden of Gethsemane, and that he was so frightened over what was about to come that he swept drops of blood. Luke 22:39-44: Luk 22:39 And he came out and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him. Luk 22:40 And when he came to the place, he said to them, Pray that you may not enter into temptation. Luk 22:41 And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed, Luk 22:42 saying, Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done. Luk 22:43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. Luk 22:44 And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. There is no doubt in my mind that our Father in heaven had already shown our Messiah what was about to happen to him in full vivid color. There is no doubt in my mind that our Messiah knew full well what was about to come, and he knew full well that he was going to have to endure it alone, and on his own as a flesh and blood man. 15

There should be no doubt in our minds that it was the spirit of our Father who led his only begotten son to that cross. But there should be no doubt in our minds, that the ultimate decision to go to that cross was our Messiah s, and our Messiah s alone. At any point in time, our Messiah could have backed out of the deal. At any point in time he could ve called down legions of angels to minister to himself. But our Messiah knew the cost of backing out. He knew that the sinful nature of mankind would not make it without the sacrifice to atone for their sin. He knew that his brothers and sisters would never have the opportunity to enter through the Gates of his coming kingdom and to be reconciled back to the Father without the sacrifice being completed. Knowing these things a new light is shed on the truth of what our Messiah did, and what he endured, and exactly what it was that he overcame of his own free will in order to become our Passover Lamb. If our Father s heart was grieved in the book of Genesis when he saw that every intention of man was wicked if our father s heart was grieved at having to send the flood upon the earth to blot out the wickedness of mankind you can be sure that our father s heart was utterly broken as he was forced to watch his only begotten son lay down his life for his brothers. And just as it is written There is no greater gift, then a man lay down his life for his brothers. I daresay my friends that most modern-day Christians don t even know why our Messiah was condemned to death. Many of them have been told that our Messiah was condemned to death by the Jews because he claimed to be God. But according to the Scriptures, that s a total and complete utter lie. Our Messiah was condemned to death because he proclaimed himself to be the son of God. Mark 14:55-64: Mar 14:55 Now the chief priests and the whole council were seeking testimony against Jesus to put him to death, but they found none. Mar 14:56 For many bore false witness against him, but their testimony did not agree. Mar 14:57 And some stood up and bore false witness against him, saying, Mar 14:58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another, not made with hands. Mar 14:59 Yet even about this their testimony did not agree. Mar 14:60 And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you? Mar 14:61 But he remained silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? Mar 14:62 And Jesus said, I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven. Mar 14:63 And the high priest tore his garments and said, What further witnesses 16

do we need? Mar 14:64 You have heard his blasphemy. What is your decision? And they all condemned him as deserving death. Once again, my friends I challenge you Do we see anything in this Scripture about our Messiah claiming to be God his Father? Or do we once again see our Messiah claiming to be and I quote The son of God? Was he condemned because he claimed to be God or because he claimed to be the son of God? According to the Scriptures I would submit to you my friends that he was condemned to death for claiming to be and I quote The son of God. Many people will proclaim that Jesus was God because he was called God in John 20:27: Joh 20:27 Then he said to Thomas, Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe. Joh 20:28 Thomas answered him, My Lord and my God! But this did not mean that our Messiah was God the Father. In order to better understand the proper definition of the word God in our Scripture we need to understand that there were other lesser gods mentioned in the Scripture. For instance, let s turn to Psalms 82: Psa 82:1 A Psalm of Asaph. God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psa 82:2 How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah Psa 82:3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Psa 82:4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. Psa 82:5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. Psa 82:6 I said, You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; Psa 82:7 nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince. Psa 82:8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations! As we can clearly see my friends The word God does not always pertain to the one true God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. If the one true God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob proclaims that you are a God Then you are indeed a God just as we can plainly see here in Psalms chapter 82. However, there is only one true God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. He is indeed the God of gods, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, judge of judges. He sees all, knows all, and creates all. And so, we need not be fooled by our ignorant brothers and sisters who are not aware of how the term God is used throughout the Scripture. Even the devil himself is known as the god of this world. Second Corinthians 4:3-4: 17

2Co 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 2Co 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Yes, the spirit of the one true God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob was indeed dwelling in his only begotten son who became the word made flesh. But God s only begotten son was not God himself. The word of God had always existed with God because the word of God is what God spoke, it is what God believes, it is truth, it is righteousness, it is light, and it has been with him from the very beginning because it is his very nature. The word of God is a reflection of who God is. And the word of God was well embedded in his only begotten son whom he created from the loins of David so that David s throne would be set on high forever. Mat 24:33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. Mat 24:34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Mat 24:36 But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. Denying the divinity of our Messiah? Who is it that denies the divinity of our Messiah truly? Is it those who believe that God himself came down to murder himself on a cross for the sins of man? Or is it those of us who believe, that a man, who was the only begotten Son of God, willfully made the choice to lay down his own life by his own accord for the sins of his brothers? The one man who had never sinned. The one man who had kept our Father s word so perfectly that they actually called him the word of God made flesh. The one man who knew no sin. The one man who had to willingly become sin, in order to destroy sin. The only begotten son of God, who is also known as the Son of Man. I would submit to you my friends that the divinity of our Messiah is unknown by most modernday professing Christians today. They have no idea what challenges he faced. They have no idea why he came to do what he came to do. They have no idea why he had to be a man. They have no idea why he was called the word made flesh, and they have no idea who it is that they are commanded to follow, or why. The world believes that it s once saved always saved, and that do as thou wilt is the whole of the law now that Jesus has done away with the law of the God of the Old Testament. The world believes that a pre-tribulation rescue is on the way to keep them from any persecution and to guard them from the trials and tribulations of end time events. The world believes in flying reindeer, and the divination of magical elves, and egg laying rabbits that shout from the pages of paganism. The world believes in a first day of the week Sunday Sabbath not commanded by any 18

high priest, not by any profit, not by any apostle, not by the Holy Spirit, and certainly not by the only begotten son of God. The world has made void the word of God in order to hold onto its own traditions. The world honors him with their lips that their hearts are far from him and they don t even know it. In the end my friends No one is taking away from the divinity of the only begotten son of God by believing what his God breathed Scriptures say. The truth is my friends But no one can take away from the divinity of our Messiah, no matter how hard they might try. The truth will always be the truth. It doesn t matter what men believe. It doesn t matter what men preach. It doesn t matter what men teach. The truth will always be the truth. And it will always be there for those who seek it. And as the infamous Paul Harvey used to say Now you know, the rest of the story. Let God be true and every man a liar. 19
