1 LESSON 5 Prophecy - The rest of the story Some people think that if you live a good and moral life you will go straight to heaven when you die. The Bible does not teach that. It teaches that good works don't save you, only a faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior does. As we saw in lesson IV, doing good works that count is the result of the Holy Spirit working in you after you are saved. Jesus Christ starts the process of transforming your life. Adding anything to the salvation process (doing good deeds, getting baptized, or performing a ritual) as an accessory to Jesus Christ s work on the cross is to trivialize this event. Taking anything away from what Jesus did on the cross is to say that Christ didn t really accomplish all of your salvation on the cross in which case, He will have died in vain. It is finished would actually be a lie, since it would not be finished until you added your contribution. This is why we cannot add anything to what Jesus did. Q. If There Was Another Way To purchase Our Salvation, Do You Think God Would Have Allowed His Son To Be Crucified? Lesson V deals with prophecy and the end of the story. One third of the total Bible is prophecy, and four fifths of all the prophecy about the end times has ALREADY been fulfilled! The Bible deals specifically with three groups of people: Jews, Gentiles (all non-jews), and the universal church of God (Christians regardless of their respective denominations). It is important to know that conflict develops in interpretation when you inter-mingle these groups, prophetically. When they are left "prophetically" as separate groups and one applies the prophecy to the context in which it is given, we ultimately can see very clearly that all prophecy in the Bible is related to the purpose of God through Christ. An interesting point is there is NO PROPHECY in ANY other religious book An interesting point is there is NO PROPHECY in ANY other religious book (not the Koran, the Hindu Veda's, Baghavad Gita, the Ramayana or the sayings of either Buddha or Confucius or the Book of Mormon). This is just one proof that God's stamp of approval is on the Judeo-Christian faith. Because Biblical prophecy is 100% accurate, it proves that the author of the Bible (God Himself) is who He says He is, and that the Bible is literally the inerrant Word of God! The Old Testament (OT) prophecies were fulfilled exactly-- (some to the day and some even to the minute). The Question Is if the OT prophecies were fulfilled that exactly, will the New Testament (NT) prophecies also be fulfilled exactly? Isaiah 46: 8-11 "Remember this and be assured; recall it to mind, you transgressors. "remember the Former things long past, for I am God, and there is no one like me. Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying 'my purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all my good pleasure; calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my purpose from a far country. Truly I have spoken: truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely I will do it. (NAS) 1/3 Of The total Bible Is Prophecy! and 4/5 s of all the prophecy about the end times has ALREADY been fulfilled!! 103

2 PROPHECY CAN There are 8,352 verses of prophecy in the Bible (27% of the total 31,124 scriptures). The Bible contains 1,817 individual predictions. Depending on what you call a prophecy, there are more than WE TRUST IT? 2,000 prophecies in the Old Testament alone. Taking only 10 of the many concerning Jesus (i.e., born in Bethlehem etc.) the actual odds of these all coming true are a staggering: 1 In 97,500 Trillion!1 Prophecy, by its very nature, is the foretelling of the future. Therefore, any discussion on prophecy deals mostly with events that have NOT happened or when they were initially written down were events in the future. The Bible has given us so many prophecies that it is possible to clearly see whether we are truly in what the Bible calls the Last Days. The prophecies given in the Bible contain not only prophecies that will happen instantaneously, but also many that require a build up or a setting in place to fulfill. Remember that for 400 years prior to the birth of the Messiah Jesus, there was seemingly no direct communication from God with man. God was however, setting the stage for His Son through the rise of the Greek and Roman empires. If the prophesies that pertain to the Last Days require some stage setting, and we are truly in those Last Days, then we should be seeing many of these prophecies either already fulfilled, coming true or physical evidence of these prophesies somewhere in the process of being fulfilled. In the first 35 verses of Daniel 11, there are 135 prophecies alone! The incredible thing is that SECULAR history books document that all 135 prophecies came to pass! When most people think of prophecy, they think of the New Testament book of Revelation as THE prophecy book in the Bible. Revelation is filled with its fantastic descriptions of beasts, dragons and other images. Several things are very important to understand about this: The visions and descriptions John is writing about in Revelation are from a man who has been allowed to look into the future and see tanks, helicopters, automobiles, jets, nuclear war, AIDs and chemical warfare. John must then try and describe this to an audience that will span 2000 years! Up until the last 50 years much of what John saw was not even invented yet, so the keys to the secrets of Revelation were not even available until our generation. In the Old Testament, the prophet Daniel was also given an incredible vision of the end times. At the end of the book of Daniel, God says this: Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. (KJV) So from both the Old Testament and the New Testament we see that the end times would not be understood until the time of the end (or until now)! However, at the time of the end we would be able to unlock the secrets. This is just one clue showing us how close we are to the end of the time of man on planet earth. many shall run to and fro - This is the first Biblical record of frequent flyer plans (ha!). 104

TODAY, the rate knowledge doubles is less than two years! Knowledge has increased 10,000 times since 1945! Jesus is speaking: The Parable Of The Fig Tree Luke 21:15-31 For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. [16] You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. [17] All men will hate you because of me. [18] But not a hair of your head will perish. [19] By standing firm you will gain life. [20] "When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. [21] Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. [22] For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. [23] How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. [24] They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. [25] "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. [26] Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. [27] At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. [28] When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." [29] He told them this parable: "Look at the fig tree and all the trees. [30] When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. [31] Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near. The Fig Tree Is Mentioned six Times In The Old Testament And Is Always Symbolic Of Israel. Example: Hosea 9:10 "When I found Israel, it was like finding grapes in the desert; when I saw your fathers, it was like seeing the early fruit on the fig tree. But when they came to Baal Peor, they consecrated themselves to that shameful idol and became as vile as the thing they loved. (see also in Judges 9:10,11, I Kings 4:25, Jer. 24:1-3, Hosea 9:10, Micah 4:4, Zach. 3:10, Joel 1:7, (Also Jer 24:1) ) 105

4 Let s look at the former passages of Scripture in Luke and then paraphrase them to reflect current events: Luk 21:29 He told them this parable: "look at Israel (the fig tree and all the trees). Luk 21:30 when Israel becomes a nation (they sprout leaves) you can see for yourselves and know that this time is near. Luk 21:31 even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the Kingdom of God is near. (Original words inside these) Today we would paraphrase the other passage in Luke as: Luk 21:20 "When you see Jerusalem become a nation where there was none and is being surrounded by Arabs, Palestinians, Syrians, Iraqi s, you will know that its desolation is near. The fig tree is the nation of Israel which came to the Holy Land (given in the Abrahamic Covenant) on May 14, According to Jesus, the generation that is alive at this time will see the end of time! Luke 21:32-33 "I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. [33] Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Before 1948 you would say one was crazy if he had told you that Israel would be in the Holy Land, would be surrounded by enemies and that the whole world would be watching this area of the world that is smaller than Massachusetts. Yet today this is exactly the case. The name Israel did not exist as a place and the land that is now called Israel was barren desert land called Palestine. As usual, God makes something good out of something bad. Satan tried to exterminate the Jews in Germany. Out of the horror of that time, the world finally conceded that a place for the Jews must be established. Out of all the barren desert land in the world that they could have chosen to give them, the place they chose was the exact same land that God had promised to Abraham in the Abrahamic Covenant! Ezekiel 4:3-6 Then take an iron pan, place it as an iron wall between you and the city and turn your face toward it. It will be under siege, and you shall besiege it. This will be a sign to the house of Israel. [4] "Then lie on your left side and put the sin of the house of Israel upon yourself. You are to bear their sin for the number of days you lie on your side. [5] I have assigned you the same number of days as the years of their sin. So for 390 days you will bear the sin of the house of Israel. [6] "After you have finished this, lie down again, this time on your right side, and bear the sin of the house of Judah. I have assigned you 40 days, a day for each year. Amazingly, God set the exact day that the world would give them back this land almost 2,600 years ago: God, through the Prophet Ezekial, said that for Israel's sin she would have to suffer 390 years and for Judah's sin 40 years for a total of 430 years. 106

5 Both of the Kingdoms were in captivity for a total of 70 years so if you deduct that time served, you end up with 360 years of further suffering. The Babylonian captivity ended in the year 537 BC. Israel sin Judah s sin Total Less Total 390 years 40 years 430 years -70 years served in combined captivity 360 years However, Israel In Leviticus 26:18 did not repent " 'If after all this you will not listen to me, I will punish you for your sins seven times after her over. captivity. God told Israel that if she did not repent, He would prolong the punishment seven times. (Israel by the way, did not repent!) 7 x 360 Years =2520 Biblical years (of 360 days each*) Biblical years x 360 days = 907,200 days converted to our calendar of 365 days = 2483 years, 9 months, 12 days. {Keep In Mind There Is Only 1 Year From 1 B.C. To 1 A.D.) Starting from July 23, 537 B.C. (end of Babylonian rule and end of their captivity) 537 years, 7 months, 23 days (July 23, 537 BC) + 1 year (1BC to 1AD) years, 9 months, 12 days (see above) = 1948th year, 5th month, 14th day What happened on May 14, 1948? Israel became a Nation....Or you can simply add the 907,200 days to the day Artaxerxes declared the temple to be rebuilt and you get exactly the above. God even gives us the EXACT day of the rightful restoration of Jerusalem to the Jews using this same scripture passage. The starting point is the third siege of Nebuchadnezzar, which began the Desolation s of Jerusalem. On August 16, 518 BC the completion of the Desolation of Jerusalem was accomplished (this is the day that the Jews lost control of Jerusalem). Starting with the day of completion, we have: 518 years, 8 months, 16 days (August 16, 518 B.C.) + 1 year (1B.C.-1A.D.) years, 9 months, 12 days (the same exact number of days as in the former example) = 1967th year, 6th month 6 days What happened on June 6, 1967? Israel regained control of Jerusalem in the 6 day war. *The Jewish calendar was a lunar calendar and was 360 days, not our 365 days. 107

6 Once again Prophecy fulfilled EXACTLY to the day. This begins the fulfillment of Jesus prophecy in Luke 21:24 that Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. This prophecy will be fulfilled in our lifetime, and literally means that you and I, as Gentiles, are truly living on borrowed time. The time frame for the Gentiles is up, according to the Bible. According to the Bible, How will we know When Will The "End Times" Start? Jesus Himself tells us in Matthew 24: 3-14, 21-25, (also Luke 21:25, Mark 13:4-37. Note: Prophecy is very specific when dealing with the Jews, but very general for the Church. As noted in the above prophecy, the prophecy for the Jews is fulfilled exactly to the day, while the times of the Gentiles is a general time frame. Matthew 24:3-25 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" [4] Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. [5] For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. [6] You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. [7] Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. [8] All these are the beginning of birth pains. [9] "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. [10] At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, [11] and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. [12] Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, [13] but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. [14] And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. [21] For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again. [22] If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. [23] At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it.[24] For false Christ s and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible. [25] See, I have told you ahead of time. Note: All these are the beginning of birth pains. Birth pangs start slowly and increase in intensity and severity. We will see that this is the picture that is taking place as we speak. While all of these things have been with us for many years, it is only now that they are increasing in severity. The examples in Matthew that Jesus gives us are: Nation against nation: actually these words in the Greek mean ethnic group against ethnic group. Example today is: Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Bosnia, Kosovo, etc. Since 1945 some 15 million people have been killed in conflicts involving ethnic violence. 7 Worldwide, 35,000 children die each day due to hunger. This would be as if the combined populations of New York City, Los Angeles, Detroit and Boston were wiped out every single year. The World Bank estimates that 1.1 billion people live on less than $1.00 per person per day. There are about 35.7 million Americans living in poverty or 14.2% of the population -- the highest in 20 years. 9 Besides the information that is given in Matthew 24:3-25, two very critical things have to happen before the last battle of the world. They are: Jews must be re-gathered into Israel and must be in control of Jerusalem. The Rapture of the Church will occur to end the Church age and allow God to take the Jewish nation off the shelf and deal strictly with them. The first has happened; the second has not. WE ARE GOING TO LOOK AT JUST 10 POINTS OF PROPHECY OUT OF HUNDREDS TO SEE IF WE REALLY ARE IN THE LAST DAYS. I. The Jews Jerusalem! Must Be In Possession Of Q. Which covenants tells us this? A. (Abrahamic, Davidic and the New Covenant). This is another reason why we studied the covenants in the first four lessons. Understanding prophecy understanding the covenants. requires Abrahamic: Ezekiel 20:34-37 I will bring you from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered--with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with outpoured wrath. [35] I will bring you into the desert of the nations and there, face to face, I will execute judgment upon you. [36] As I judged your fathers in the desert of the land of Egypt, so I will judge you, declares the Sovereign Lord. [37] I will take note of you as you pass under my rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant. Ezekiel 20:41-42 I will accept you as fragrant incense when I bring you out from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will show myself holy among you in the sight of the nations. [42] Then you will know that I am the Lord, when I bring you into the land of Israel, the land I had sworn with uplifted hand to give to your fathers. Has God brought them out of the lands where they have been scattered? Did God bring them into the desert of the nations? How long do they get the land? Forever! 111

The name Israel is mentioned 17 times as part of the last days: Israel was not possible until 1948, Jerusalem was not possible until June 6, PROPHECY FULFILLED IN THIS GENERATION. (This is also just one possible explanation for Satan using Hitler in the 1940 s to try and exterminate the Jews.) If you have NO Jews, you have NO Last Days or End times and NO finishing off Satan!... And I will bring you into the bond of the covenant. Q. Which Covenant does Ezekial 20:37 refer to? Ezekiel 36:25-28 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. [26] I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. [27] And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. [28] You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God. 112

11 A. The New Covenant: BUT THIS REQUIRES ACCEPTING JESUS AS THE MESSIAH! Do the Jews accept the New Covenant now? No. So something major has to happen to change an entire country's heart. This is the KEY to understanding the horror of the last seven-year period. God will allow Satan a "free hand" in the world because the Jews must not be in a position of self-reliance. They must come to the point of relying on GOD, and accepting the New Covenant! Not only are they coming back, but also they are returning in THE EXACT ORDER as prophesied: ISA 43:5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east (Asia) and gather you from the west (USA). ISA 43:6 I will say to the north, (Russia) 'Give them up!' and to the south, (Ethiopia) 'Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth ISA 43:7 everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made." Note: Russia initially would not give them up and in Ethiopia they had to be airlifted out. An interesting phenomena is that Israel is now the recipient of 33 1/2% more rain than was recorded before the return of the Jews! This was prophesied in: JOE 2:22 Be not afraid, O wild animals, for the open pastures are becoming green. The trees are bearing their fruit; the fig tree and the vine yield their riches. JOE 2:23 Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before. Israel's great military strength against all odds is miraculous, is God- given and is prophesied in: EZE 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet--a vast army. By the way, are helicopters mentioned in the Bible? think so! I Isaiah 31:5 Like birds hovering overhead, the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will 'pass over' it and will rescue it." II. THE JEWS ONCE AGAIN WILL BE LOOKING FOR THE MESSIAH. In fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant 113

12 Ezekiel 37:21-22 and say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. [22] I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms. One King (not a Prime Minister or President) - The Messiah! (Also Ez. 37:10-14, Zech.. 12:3,6,9) When the state of Israel was founded in 1948, David Ben Gurion, the first Prime Minister, said in an interview with the BBC: Whether you believe it or not, our people are coming back to Palestine to prepare the way for the coming of the Messiah. We are living today in the days of the Messiah. Asked later, Do you believe that the present state of Israel is a fulfillment of prophecy? he replied, It would not have come into being... I cannot imagine how it would have come into being otherwise. Jews are coming from Iraq, from what was previously Babylon, from India, Yemen and from all over the world. What has moved them to come? It was the Book. What is the Jewish description of their Messiah? ( Jesus is the Gentile description.) Excerpted from this news report: BELOW IS VERY IMPORTANT! Ultimately the job of the Messiah is to gather the nations under the banner of the One God and to bring the world to Peace We shouldn t think that the King Messiah will have to perform miracles and wonders, and create new things in the world, or cause the dead to rise. Instead, the model of the Jewish Messiah is a human being involved in human activities, dependent upon the military expertise and ethical religious accomplishments of the nation. The proof that one is the Messiah is that he brings Israel national sovereignty and the world peace. (Maimonides Laws of Government Chapter 11, Law 3.)4 114

I Believe The Rapture Of The Church Will Have Occurred (The Great Escape) According to the Bible, Messiah believing Christians of all denominations will be snatched away without warning in a twinkling of an eye. The Word Rapture is not found in the Bible! The English word rapture is from the Latin word raptere, which means snatched away. From 300 BC until 11 AD the only translations were in Latin. After the Gutenburg press was invented there were other translations. 115

14 1 Cor. 15:51-53 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed-- [52] in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. [53] For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 1 Thes. 4:13-16 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep*, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. [14] We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. [15] According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. [16] For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. (A Resurrection) *means died 1 Thes. 4:17-18 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up* together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. [18] Therefore encourage each other with these words. *Raptere in Latin Luke 21:32-36 "I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. [33] Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. [34] "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. [35] For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. [36] Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man." If it were not possible to escape it, God would not have asked us to pray that we will escape it. Matthew 24:36-44 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. [37] As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. [38] For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; [39] and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. [40] Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. [41] Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. [42] "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. [43] But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. [44] So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. 116

15 There are 7 Jewish festivals (or rehearsals as the word is known in Hebrew). Jesus fulfilled the first four spring festivals EXACTLY to the day in his first coming. The Jewish festival Rosh Hoshana (feast of trumpets also known as the Day of Atonement) is known as the "no man knows the hour or day feast. It is also the only festival that is over 24 hours (it is two days in the Middle East and into three days in the west). Who knows maybe the Rapture will happen on one of the three Jewish festival days that Jesus did not fulfill at His first coming. If so, Rosh Hoshana is the 5 th festival and the first of the last three fall festivals. It would be the next feast in order that would be fulfilled exactly to the day by Jesus. NOTE: Q. Is There An Old Testament Reference to the Rapture? Isaiah 57:1 The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Q. Why Are We Taken Away? A. To be spared from evil (Also in Psa. 12:1). I believe this is also why God takes some Christian s home early they are raptured (snatched away) through death. Isaiah 26:19-21 But your dead will live; their bodies will rise. ( Dead in Christ rise) You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead. Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; ( Rapture of the living) hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed upon her; she will conceal her slain no longer. ( Tribulation period) There are four other circulated theories for the timing of the Rapture : Mid-Tribulation Rapture (halfway through the Tribulation period) Post Tribulation Rapture (at the end of the Tribulation period) Pre-Wrath Rapture (2/3rds of the way through the Tribulation period) NO RAPTURE. (The book of Revelation is just allegory not relevant to us today) Timeline of the End-times 7 years of tribulation Rapture I believe Scripture points to a Pre-Tribulation Rapture. But only God knows. Anyone who sets dates is being un-biblical because the Bible clearly states that no one but God knows the day. However, we are told to know the general time: Millenium Luke 21:28 (already reviewed) When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." 117

16 The pre-tribulation rapture: why do I think we escape the tribulation? Romans 5:8-9 But God demonstrated His love for us in that when we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Much more, having been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. I Thessalonians 5:9 For God has not destined us for wrath but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. I Thessalonians 1:9-10 KJV...ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. Rev. 6:16-17 They called to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! [17] For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?" The Tribulation is a period of time when God pours out His wrath on an unbelieving world. Many Gentiles will be saved during this time, but its primary purpose is to bring the non-messiah believing Jews under the bond of the Covenant. God has promised to bring the Jews into a personal relationship with Jesus the Messiah. God has already poured out His wrath on ALL sin which Christ bore on the cross. When Jesus cried out It is finished!, He was declaring that God s wrath against the sin he bore in his body was finished (God had exacted the penalty). His body would never have to experience God s wrath again. Who is Christ s Body today? The answer is found in the following scriptures: Ephes. 2:14-16 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, [15] by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, [16] and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. Ephes. 4:4-6 There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to one hope when you were called-- [5] one Lord, one faith, one baptism; [6] one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephes. 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. The church (Messiah believing Believers of ALL denominations called Christians) are the BODY of Christ. God s wrath will never again pour out on Christ s BODY again. It was finished on the cross. 118

17 Pre-Rapture Christians are promised this: Rev. 3:10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. (see also Luke 24:36-44 already reviewed) Many times in the past there have been extreme tribulations; however, they have always been regional. This tribulation period is like no other because it involves the whole world. Some people say we have been in this tribulation period since Jesus Christ left planet earth. As shown in Rev 3:10, this is impossible since we have had many times of relative peace and prosperity especially the USA! Nowhere in the Bible are there ANY instructions about how the believing Church is to endure the Tribulation period, nor is it mentioned when Christ Himself taught about the Tribulation in Matthew 24. The only church that is mentioned in the Bible that is operating on earth during the Tribulation period is the FALSE CHURCH under the leadership of the False Prophet (to be reviewed later)! THERE WILL BE NO CHRISTIANS ON PLANET EARTH FOR ONLY A FEW SECONDS FOLLOWING THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH! Immediately after, hundreds of thousands will fall to their knees accepting Jesus (hoping to be taken up). These will be those know about the Rapture and who have heard, but did not accept the Gospel - People who have been through Bible Studies like this one, but never made the conscious decision to accept Jesus as their Lord. Unfortunately, these people will ultimately die for their new faith. The Rapture of the church will plunge the world into worldwide chaos. The day the Rapture occurs will be a day of death as cars driven by Christians crash on the roads and planes flown by Christian pilots crash. Later, there will be financial collapse, as all those mortgages and credit card bills are not paid! The Rapture may be the one thing that the New Agers* need to propel the lie that we were spirited away because we are holding back the collective consciousness of the world on its way to "Godhood." A possible explanation may be that we (Christians) have been taken away by UFO's. REMEMBER THE HEAVENS GATE CULT! We can see a kind of pre-conditioning now in the movies that are being made and the intense increase in paranormal and alleged UFO encounters. Who knows! From TIME Magazine, The Harmony Of The Spheres, February The discovery of life beyond earth would transform not only our science, but our religions, our belief systems and our entire world view. For in a sense, the search for extraterrestrial life is really the search for ourselves who we are, and what our place is in the grand sweep of the Cosmos. Belief that mankind has a special relationship with God is central to the monotheistic religions. The existence of alien beings, especially if they are more advanced then humans intellectually and spiritually, would disrupt this cozy view. 119

18 *After Islam, the New Age religion is the fastest growing religion in the world. It is really an old religion (pantheism) newly dressed. All religions (except those who believe in a personal God i.e. Christians, Jews and Moslems) are accepted ways to god in the New Age. A freebie lesson - Close Encounters of the Third Kind: Matthew 24:37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Besides rampant sin, the days of Noah were characterized by a tremendous amount of demonic activity (literally and physically) taking place (Nephlim - see Bible Trek lesson I). We live in a time when "paranormal, psychic activity is proliferating" worldwide. Demons/extra-terrestrials or ET's are reported to be taking people hostage and doing tests on them (many of a sexual nature). These correspond exactly to the legends of the Middle Ages when the same type of activity was reported. It also corresponds to what God Himself tells us in Genesis -- that the fallen angels/sons of God engaged in sexual deviant behavior with humans. According to UFO researchers, virtually all those who have had UFO experiences have had occult experience as a precursor to the sighting. Interesting is the incredibly high incidence of UFO sightings in Israel (and none in nearby Syria or Jordan) including the reports of giants being sighted. If demons are the source of UFO s, it makes sense that they would have a tremendous interest in Israel. The Bible even hints of this very phenomena: 2 Cor. 11:14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. End of freebie lesson IV. A Great Lie Will Be Perpetuated (The New Age?) Someone will have to come up with a plausible explanation for the instantaneous disappearance of millions of Christians worldwide. For example, there are estimated to be more than 300 million Christians in China alone (where it is illegal to be one). This is more people than the total population of the USA! A powerful charismatic leader will arise out of this chaos with plausible answers. The Bible calls this man the BEAST and /or the ANTICHRIST. He leads through the power of Satan. 2 Thes. 2:5-11 Don't you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? [6] And now you know [a] what is holding him back, so that [b] he may be revealed at the proper time. [7] [c] For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the [d] one who now holds it back will continue to do so [e] till he is taken out of 120

19 the way. [8] [f] And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. [9] The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, [10] and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. [11] For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe THE LIE. (emphasis mine). Q. At the writing of this verse who would be [c] the secret power of lawlessness already at work? (v.7) A. The Devil himself. Q. Who is [b] He, and [f] " the Lawless One? A. The Antichrist Q. [a] [d] What is holding "him " back? ( him = the Ruler of the secret power of lawlessness already at work ) A. Only the Holy Spirit [a,d] has the power to hold back Satan. He restrains Satan from all out assault on this world [e] till he is taken out of the way. The Holy Spirit dwells where now? In Christians- any one who has accepted the New Covenant! To take the Holy Spirit out is to literally take Christians out of the world! You and I do not have the power to hold back Satan, only God does! Therefore, the restraint of Satan can only be the other power working in the world (the opposite of the secret power of lawlessness )--God through His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit s function today is to convict people of sin and be The Comforter. However, the Holy Spirit is part of the Godhead who is OMNIPRESENT (everywhere), which means that after the Rapture, Gosd will still be working in the world, because His desire is that no one shall perish. The Holy Spirit s ministry after the Rapture of thc Church will be different then it is presently and will revert like it was in the Old Testament. Note: This Scripture (2 Thess. 2:5-11) tells us that [f] the lawless one (the Antichrist) will not be revealed until after the Holy Spirit is removed (I believe this is the rapture of all Christians). Christians before the Rapture probably will not know who this Antichrist is. But I believe he is alive today waiting for the world to turn upside down and to be readied for his brand of world government. Note: Why does it seem there is always one despot in power in the world? Satan, like us, does not know the hour or the day of the Rapture either. So all through history he has had to have his man ready to go. A quick look through history will show you that they have been pretty easy to spot: Hitler, Mussolini, Attila the Hun, to name a few. What Is The Lie in verse 11? [11] For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie. The Lie (as opposed to a lie ) is mentioned only four times in the Bible (Romans 1:25, John 8:44, Ephesians 4:22,24, Genesis 3:5). The Lie is Satan s oldest trick and also the one that got him thrown out of heaven. It is: You can be like God The Lie Is. Man Becomes God: The Truth Is... God Became Man. 121

20 Hitler said " Tell a lie, tell it often enough, and the people will believe it." With the exception of atheists, Jews, Christians and Moslems, the people of the whole world (including Mormons, Hindus, Buddhists, New Agers etc.) ALREADY BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN BE LIKE GOD! The universal sightings of UFO s/et s, the disappearance of Christians and the simultaneous explanation that Christians were spirited away because we didn t believe that man could make the quantum leap into godhood would certainly be a powerful delusion. I don t know if this is how it will be presented but it could be. V. There Will Be A Tribulation Period For A Period Of Seven Years. The Rapture of the Church creates such chaos that the world is thrown into total turmoil, setting the stage for the last seven-year period! Dan 9:24 "Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. Dan 9:25 "Know and understand this: from the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the anointed one, the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' it will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. Dan 9:26 After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the anointed one will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: war will continue until the end, and desolation s have been decreed. Dan 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him." According to God, the nation of Israel is given 70 sets of 7's or seven-year periods. There are three distinct periods: First "seven" or 49 Years (445 B.C. to 396 B.C.). -This is the period when the streets and walls of Jerusalem were Second (62) "sevens" or 435 Years (396 B.C.To 30 A.D.) -Culminating to the day when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. Third "seven" The Tribulation Period. According to God, one seven year period remains for the Jewish people! actually built. For your Jewish friends: according to the OT, the Messiah had to come before the temple was destroyed or the OT is wrong! The temple was destroyed in 70 AD! It is also interesting to note that the famous Rabbi Mehumiah, who lived 50 years before Jesus Christ, concluded that based on Daniel's prophecy the Messiah could not be delayed longer than 50 years

21 Why the seven year tribulation? GOD IS FULFILLING HIS PROMISE TO THE JEWS THAT THEY WOULD HAVE 70 SETS OF SEVENYEAR PERIODS: THIS COMPLETES THE MISSING SEVEN YEARS. God is specifically dealing with the Jews during this seven-year time, fulfilling the Covenants. God must fulfill the: Abrahamic Covenant (Land forever) Davidic Covenant (One king over Israel--the Messiah) New Covenant (Bringing the Jewish people under the bond of the Covenant ) If God does not If He is a liar about this, than maybe He is lying about our salvation? If God is a liar, we are all in BIG TROUBLE! fulfill these covenants, He would be a liar. There Will Be 21 Specific Judgments On The World Which Are Found In The Book Of Revelation. During this seven-year period, two thirds of the world will be wiped out, there will be famines, plagues, wars, nuclear holocaust, wholesale slaughter of humans and persecution so horrible that Hitler will look like a walk in the park. (See Revelation 6-9) Jeremiah 30:7 How awful that day will be! None will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, * but he will be saved out of it. * This is a direct reference to Jewish people God changed Jacob s name to Israel. (Gen 32:27-30) Daniel 12:1 "At that time Michael*, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people--everyone whose name is found written in the book--will be delivered. *Michael is the angel in charge of protecting Daniel's people (the nation of Israel), not the Gentiles. Matthew 24:21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again. Timeline of the End-times 7 years of tribulation Rapture Remember that the Church was raptured and is in heaven now; it will not experience God s wrath on the sin in the world. We are in heaven at the Judgement Seat of Christ. Here we are Millenium 123

22 rewarded for our "faithfulness because we are saved by grace not works. Luke 14:13-14 But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, [14] and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous." (The Rapture is the Resurrection of the Righteous) 2 Cor. 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. Whether good or bad! We are not judged with punishment because Romans 5:1 says that Christians are at peace with God and Romans 8:1 says we are no longer under condemnation. But here we give an account of our motivations for the works we did on earth. Remember, our good works (that count) are the result of the Holy Spirit working through us, not the things we have done on our own. Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, (See also II Corinthians 5: 1-10 and Romans 14:7-12.) Specifically for the JEWS (not Gentiles) during this period: 1) There will be two Witnesses who prophesy to the nation of Israel (Rev. 11:3, Heb. 9:27). Rev. 11:3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth." These could be: Elijah (2 Kings 2:11, Malachi 4:5) Why? He never died. Enoch (Genesis 5:24, Jude 14,15) Why? He never died. Or even Moses (Hebrews 9:27). Why? He was at the Transfiguration of Jesus and is the most venerated of the Old Testamnet Prophets. Who better to tell them to worship Jesus the Messiah. God is not specific except that these two witnesses will be wholly devoted to prophesying to the Jewish nation. 124

23 Q. Is CNN in the Bible? I think so. Rev. 11:7-12 Now when they [the two witnesses] have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. [8] Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. [9] For three and half days, men from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. [10] The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth. [11] But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. [12] Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on. This was not possible until Ted Turner s CNN Network and Global Satellite technology. (Note: the removal of the two witnesess by God is also a rapture!) 2) And there will also be 144,000 Jews who specifically evangelize the Jewish Nation. Rev. 7:3-5 "Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." [4] Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel. [5] From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben 12,000, from the tribe of Gad 12,000, (Also Rev. 14:1) There are only an estimated 38,000 missionaries in the world today - imagine 144,000 for the Jews alone. After three and a half years these 144,000 will also be raptured (Rev 14:1-5). As shown above in Revelation 7:3-5, the Bible specifically tells us that the 144,000 are, in actuality, Jewish ( The Servants Of Our God" -- 12,000 from each tribe of Israel). 125

24 VI. An alliance of countries will arise that will control the world in a political/economic (and eventually a religious) system that is one-world/one-government/onereligion. This alliance already exists and came to power on January 1, 1993! Who is it? Let s see. At first, this part of prophecy can seem very confusing. So let s outline it first, then we ll see who best fits this description given in the Bible almost 2,000 years ago. The Last Evil Empire how to recognize it. The Bible states that a World Empire, that was part of the four ancient empires (called great beasts) that affected Biblical history, will exist, go away and then come back. [see Rev. 17:11]. The Prophet Daniel is given a vision of four great beasts: Daniel 7:16-19 I approached one of those standing there and asked him the true meaning of all this. "So he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things: [17] 'The four great beasts are four kingdoms that will rise from the earth. [18] But the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever--yes, for ever and ever.' [19] "Then I wanted to know the true meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws-the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. The four great empires that affected the whole known world are: Babylon Medio Persia Greco Roman Empire Rev. 17:11 The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction. The fourth beast (Roman Empire) is different, exists, goes away and then comes back as a world power. Additionally, the description, "he belongs to the seven," means that this beast is part of the seven empires (total) that will affect Biblical history. Two of these other three affected Biblical history but they were not worldwide powers. The third was a future power at the time of this writing. Add to the other four: Egypt Assyria And the seventh -- the Revived Roman Empire (the fourth beast of Dan 7:16 and Rev 17:11). The fourth beast (Ancient Roman Empire) will be different from all the other empires for two reasons: 1. The Roman Empire was not conquered it collapsed from within. 126

After a long period of time at the end times, it will resurrect as a New World Empire or alliance.since it once was the Roman Empire, when it comes back it will be located in the same general geographical region as the old Roman Empire. Note: Only one other country (not an empire) existed, has gone away and then resurrected ISRAEL! The Beast is a classic counterfeit; Satan s empire vs. God s chosen people. (Sounds once again like David and Goliath!) This empire will be united religiously, economically and politically and will be symbolized as a woman riding a beast (Rev. 17). Rev. 17:3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. Rev. 17:7 Then the angel said to me: "Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns. Amazingly, the original design for the new European Union (EU) dollar depicted a woman riding a beast. Today--The New redesigned Euro The influence of this new empire will dominate the whole world. Daniel 7:23 "He gave me this explanation: 'The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole 127

26 earth, trampling it down and crushing it. Daniel 7:23 "He gave me this explanation: 'The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. Dan 7:24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. These ten kings could be ten actual countries or also ten economic trade blocs of which, most are already in place (i.e. NAFTA, Mercosul, EU-Maastracht treaty) [see Dan 7:7]. According to Dan 7:24 above, this group increases to eleven and this eleventh king subdues three other kings. The Bible further confirms this group for us: Rev. 17:10 They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for a little while. Five Fallen Egypt Assyria Babylon Medio Persia Greece One is: The Roman Empire One to come: The Revised Roman Empire or???? Additionally, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) also has divided the world into ten economic blocs in their quest to create a one-world government. (More on them later.) Are we headed for one-world Government or as it is termed for those who are in the know; a New World Order? AAS 3/19/2000 From USA Today US More Talk Than Action On Treaties 10/29/98 Today, Europe is moving steadily to become a player in the Middle East region: French President Chirac angling to boost Europe s role in Middle East politics.... Only such a partner [meaning himself and France] will be capable of making and adhering to the commitments that are necessary for the security of Israel. Chirac declared himself a friend of Israel. 7 Sounds just like the precursor to a future covenant! 128

27 On August 14, 1949, the International Herald Tribune reported: The European movement is justifiable....it must be considered an expedient and at the same time a transition. We are not dealing with Europe alone. A WORLD ORGANIZATION REMAINS OUR GOAL. Make a United States of Europe, but integrate it IN ADVANCE with a universal superstate; make a Europe, but at the same time think of the world; think FOR the world. Today, the EU consists of a three-tiered, evolving system that consists of an inner circle committed to full-blooded monetary, military and social union. This core group (Germany, France, Belgium and The Netherlands) is committed to relinquishing its sovereignty for the chance to be the prominent players in a new United States of Europe. A second core group, consisting of Britain, Italy and Spain, will join for purely economic reasons and the third group of Denmark, Greece, Poland, Ireland and the nations of Eastern Europe will form the third tier. Henri Spaak, former Secretary General of NATO, in a interview with the BBC regarding the creation of the European Union with the Treaty of Rome in 1957, said the following: We felt like Romans that day We were consciously re-creating the Roman Empire once more. From EUROCOM, 4/97 (page 2) The... European market in financial services... has been a resounding success. The EU wants to see similar benefits spread worldwide, not just for European operators, but for emerging economies... we will give every bit as much impetus to the creation of a lasting WORLDWIDE FINANCIAL SERVICES REGIME by the end of the year. This Union will be united by a powerful man who will initially bring the world together by diplomacy NOT force. Rev. 6:2 I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest. Note: The rider has a bow but no arrows; this is a picture of the Antichrist conquering by diplomacy. Remember that during the Apostle John s time a leader bent on conquest entered the city riding a white horse. Jesus, as the Suffering Messiah, entered on a donkey, symbolizing that He came in peace. In Rev. 19:19 (discussed later) John writes of Jesus' second entrance back on Planet Earth. This time He is riding a white horse as the Conquering Messiah. Interestingly, the United Nations (UN) Council On Foreign Relations (CFR) has as its logo, a white horse with a rider making the Devil sign -- almost the identical picture of the first horse of the Apocalypse (the Antichrist) in Rev. 6:1-2. Who is the CFR? The (UN) CFR has 2700 worldwide members who "advise" the President of the United States as well as other foreign nations. One if its published goals is to replace the US Constitution and replace it with a model one of its own, 129

28 which includes no Bill of Rights (no right to bear arms, no right to freedom of religion or assembly, etc.). The other stated goal is to bring the USA (and the rest of the world) into a one-world government! James P. Warburg (CFR member) warned in testimony to the US Senate Subcommittee on Foreign Relations (on Feb. 17, 1950) the following: "We shall have world government, whether we like it or not. The question is only whether world government will be achieved by consent or by conquest." In CFR member Brezinski (National Security advisor to Jimmy Carter) and David Rockefeller set up the Trilateral Commission (TC) to co-ordinate plans to set up a one world government between what it felt were the three most important areas of the world; the USA, Japan and Europe. When President Bill Clinton took office EVERY officer of his new cabinet and sub-cabinet was drawn exclusively from the CFR or the TC. "The Trilateral Commission doesn't run the world, the Council on Foreign Relations does that!" --Winston Lord, Assistant Secretary of State, the U. S. State Department Moslems also believe in this Antichrist. It is interesting that they define him with the same initials as the Council on Foreign Relations - CFR. Nor is ANTICHRIST unknown to Mohammedan theology in which he is called Masth al Dajjal, the false or lying Christ... He is to be one eyed and marked on the forehead with the letters C.F.R.. This is why the Prophet Ezekiel makes such an issue of no bars, etc. He was seeing a time in the future (i.e. today) when walls would be no match for things like SCUD missiles. God will not allow humans to trust in anything but Himself. This worldwide, UNIFIED coalition of the EU and the United Nations (UN) will create a false peace. Why the addition of the UN? It 130

29 encompasses the rest of the free world INCLUDING THE USA! Is the USA buying into it already? We have already set the stage for the transfer of power. Senate Document #87 (on page 289) states: "The charter of the United Nations has become the supreme law of the land and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the constitution or the laws of any state to the contrary not withstanding." State Department Paper #7277 calls for the disbanding of all US military bases and prohibits their reestablishment other than those contributing to a United Nations Peace Force. Q. What area of the world uses the United Nations Army as it's International police force? A. Europe and the coalition forces of the free world (remember Desert Storm?). We have seen the uniting of countries militarily already in Desert Storm (Iraq and Kuwait), and in Kosovo. There is only one area of the world that meets the Biblical description of this Beast. That area is the European Union or the EU! This Alliance, through the leadership of the Antichrist, will have a temporary solution for the middleeast problem and will sign a treaty protecting Israel for seven years. Daniel 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him." A seven year Covenant is a TEMPORARY treaty not a treaty designed to be forever! This is the only hope to get peace in the Middle East. Recently a man has appeared in the News who fits the exact description of the Antichrist given by Daniel the Prophet and the Book of Revelation. He is in charge of the WEU, the powerful 10 nation military wing of the Revived European Empire or European Union. Javier Solana, is also the head of the European Defense Agency, and Secretary General of the powerful 10 nation Western European Union. As High Commissioner he is attempting a Peace Treaty with Israel through the confirmation of a seven-year covenant of peace in the Middle East by successfully advocating the Palestinians and Israelis to allow the European Union to play a larger role in Middle East peacemaking. I do NOT know if this is the AC but certainly he fits the description. From his united base somewhere in Europe, the Antichrist will launch his satanic plan. In this verse (Dan 9:27) it is he (not they ) who will make the deal with Israel guaranteeing Israel peace and protection. The Antichrist will come initially with a plan to solve the Middle East problem. He comes initially as a peacemaker. This fulfills the Jews own description of what a human Messiah will be (already reviewed on page 113). Ultimately, the job of the Messiah is to gather the nations of the world under the banner of the one God. says Rabbi Riskin. We shouldn t think that King Messiah will have to perform miracles and wonders, and create new things in the world, or cause the dead to rise. Instead, he says that the model of the Jewish Messiah is a human being involved in human activities, dependent on the military expertise and ethical religious accomplishments of the nation. Everything is the same except that Israel will not be subservient to other nations. The proof that one is the Messiah is that he brings Israel national sovereignty and the world peace. see 4 132

31 The Antichrist will later come to Jerusalem and declare himself to be God. 2 Thes. 2:4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God. The Antichrist will now reveal his true NATURE. He will know that his time is short (42 months) and will hunt down and kill ALL that refuse to worship him as god. For three and a half years God s Saints will be mercilessly persecuted. It will appear to be a losing battle for the Saints. Dan. 7:25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time (Note: These Saints are post-rapture Messiah Believers.) Rev 13:7 He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. When the Jews see this "treaty maker" declare himself to be god in the temple (called the abomination of desolation in the Bible, found in Matthew 24:14, Mark 13:14), they will realize that they have made a drastic mistake and will have actually made a pact with the Antichrist. This will cause many Jews to immediately come to Christ, accepting the New Covenant. Up to this point the devil has had three and half years to set the stage, put his man into power and have the world, globally united in a common cause. If you happen to be here (you missed the Rapture!), you can count the days until Jesus Christ comes back on earth. Rev. 13:4-7 Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?" [5] The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. [6] He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. [7] He was given power to make war against the Saints and to conquer them. On the 1261st day Jesus returns TO THE DAY and throws the Antichrist alive into the Lake of Fire (Rev:19:20) (Note: this is another reason why I do not believe in a post-tribulation Rapture. There is too much precise information to pinpoint this actual date: in this case, you could literally count the days so you would know the day. This is contrary to the scripture which states that no man will know the day or hour). VIII. The Jewish Temple must be rebuilt and sacrifices have to be resumed. 32 out on him." In the context of this verse, he refers to the Antichrist. (see also 2 Thess. 2:4) Q. Is There A Temple Now? A. NO! The Moslem Dome of the Rock is on the Jewish Temple Mount What are some of the problems with building the temple now? The area is Arab controlled and the second most holy religious site to an Arab (the Dome of the Rock (Omar) is there). How close might we be to the temple being built? It is estimated that the Jews can rebuild the temple in less than six months. The stones are already cut. The plans are already drawn. The funds have already been collected. The men of LEVITICAL descent (chosen by computers) are being trained (interestingly, since the records were all lost when the temple was destroyed). As we also know now, the DNA of the Cohanin (men of Levitical descent) is different than all other people in the world, so this might be used to check their authenticity. (See Bible Trek, lesson I). A high priest has already been chosen and his crown is being made. The priestly garments are already woven. The original oil used for anointing the priests was found in All the harps and vessels for the worship have been /or are in the process of being made. The last attempt to lay the temple cornerstone was stopped by police (Oct. 6, 1998) and the time before that resulted in a riot on the Temple Mount. 134

33 In addition, it is reported that a perfect red heifer for cleansing the Temple Mount has been found. Since Gentiles have walked on the Temple Mount for almost 2,000 years, it is ceremonially unclean. It cannot be consecrated for worship without being cleansed according to the Levitical law. This requires the ashes of a red heifer. Miraculously, after 2,000 years one (named Melody) is born in Israel. HOLY COW! This is the first red heifer born in the Holy Land in two millennium. The red heifer is one of the most important signs that we are living in a special time. Melody s birth is a sign the time is right to rebuild the temple AUSTIN AMERICAN STATESMAN 5/29/97 left. Numbers 19:2 "This is a requirement of the law that the Lord has commanded: Tell the Israelites to bring you a red heifer without defect or blemish and that has never been under a yoke. Numbers 19:10 The man who gathers up the ashes of the heifer must also wash his clothes, and he too will be unclean till evening. This will be a lasting ordinance both for the Israelites and for the aliens living among them. Melody: Is this She was born of miraculous circumstances from a black and white Holstein. Melody would be the tenth red heifer ever in Israel. The tenth red heifer is said to be the Messiah s according to the red heifer? the Jewish Rabbi s! If it is true that the authentic tenth red heifer is alive, she must be sacrificed by the time she is three years old. In other words, temple sacrifice could begin very soon. That 135

34 means that if the Rapture is pre-tribulation, the Rapture could occur any moment. Three and a half years after the temple sacrifice begins the Antichrist will stop the sacrifices. (Note: They don t need a temple; a tabernacle or tent will suffice in the interim, just as it did in the desert for the early Jews. They also could simply sacrifice this heifer and hold the ashes to a more opportune time considering the fervor building in Jerusalem for a temple this appears unlikely but is possible). (They could also sacrifice her and hold on to the ashes until the right time - Also they don t need a temple they can sacrifice in a tabernacle as in the OT. They could also clone the red heifer and always have one ready to go! This was not feasible until this generation! Or gather the ashes and hold them. I don't know if the Jews will accept a CLONED animal since in reality - this would be essentially a manmade animal? UPDATE 6/01/01: Melody appears to be not suitable now due to 2 white hairs being found.. HOWEVER, Pure red heifers have been found on Lyle Lott's farm in Mississippi and are being transported to Israel. Why is this important in relation to prophecy? Temple sacrifice (and the Temple area must be sanctified before sacrifice can take place) is a precursor to the MIDDLE OF THE TRIBULATION!! Where might we be on the ramp up to the Tribulation? IX. a world religion will form, which is satanically inspired and controlled. A False Prophet (religious leader)--urges the world to "worship the Beast". The leader, the Antichrist will be able to perform miracles and will either fake a resurrection or will actually die and Satan will come inside him and literally will become his life. Either way, he will be totally satanically controlled. Only one other time in history has this happened and that was when Satan entered into Judas to ensure that Jesus was delivered into the Roman judicial system (Luke 22:3, John 13:27). Rev. 13:1 And the dragon [Satan] stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast [Antichrist] coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. Note: in the Bible, the sea symbolically stands for the nations or humanity as a whole. Rev. 13:3 One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast. Example: What if today, the newscaster announced that a very famous person was here to greet the world for the first time in many years. Out on the stage walked John F. Kennedy! We have all watched his head get blown apart at least a thousand times on TV. If he came back, the world would be astonished and worship him. Now don t misconstrue this. I am not saying that JFK might be the Antichrist. I am only giving an example of how this would work and how powerful this type of miracle would be in persuading people that the Antichrist is god. Incidentally, Hitler not only studied this part of the Bible, it is generally believed by many Christian scholars that Hitler thought he was the Antichrist and that when he shot himself he would be resurrected. Why? Although Hitler had a cyanide pill there for himself, he chose to shoot himself in the head rather than follow Eva Braun and their German Shepherd dog in death by poisoning. 136

35 Ironically, had it been God s timing, Hitler probably would have actually been Satan s Antichrist, but God had more people to bring into the Kingdom first. In 1974 Foster Bailey, (New Age leader Alice Bailey s husband) wrote the following (indirectly referring to Adolph Hitler) regarding a Master New Age Plan given to us [the humanistic world] by what he calls Ascended Masters (His name for extraterrestrial beings more advanced than humans): Another approved hierarchical project is the uniting of the nations of Europe into one cooperating peaceful community One attempt was to begin by uniting peoples living in the Rhine River Valley using that river as a binding factor. It was an attempt by a disciple but it did not work. Now another attempt is in full swing, namely the European Common Market 9 Bailey further states that he got this information directly from an ascended master which is a fancy name for what the Bible calls demons. Obviously, this is a demonic plan. Henri Spaak, former Secretary General of NATO, said in a speech, "What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the allegiance of all people and to lift us out of the economic morass into which we are sinking. Send us such a man and be he god or devil, we will receive him. The false prophet will rise up from the religious sector and give credibility to the Antichrist and will urge the world to follow the Antichrist. He uses the supernatural power of Satan to perform miracles and deceive the world. Rev. 13:11-14 Then I saw another beast [False Prophet], coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. [12] He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. [13] And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men. [14] Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. Rev. 19:20 But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. Rev. 13:15 He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed Note: the image - that could speak might be John s way of describing a TV speech or even a hologram from 2,000 years ago. 137

36 This false prophet will be the head of the worldwide religion that will worship the beast or Antichrist. It is hard for people in the United States to imagine oneworld religion now until one realizes that the New Age Religion says ALL religions are a part of the same. The New Age doctrine can be summed up as we are all gods (or in the process of becoming god) and all paths to God are acceptable - except Jesus Christ! Therefore, for example, Buddhists will not have to give up Buddhism, they will just be part of a larger movement called the New Age. The so-called Christian churches that still operate AFTER the Rapture will, of course, be filled with those who missed the Rapture. These are non-believers, people who did not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They considered themselves religious but, as we know, God is not in the religion business he is in the relationship business. Some of those people left after the Rapture will be saved, but they will quickly recognize (at least after the first Sunday in church!) that their particular church has not taught, nor will they now teach, that you must be saved by the Grace of Jesus Christ. These true Believers will be forced underground, just like the believers in China are today (and the first believers in Rome). These so called Christian churches will then take on the challenge of spreading what the Bible calls The Lie, which is you can be god. This movement will culminate in the actual real unification of all the world s churches, i.e., what is left of the Protestant, Catholic and other world religions. The amalgamation of the two churches is imminent. Probably this will take place before the year 1997, but certainly before the year The representatives of the Roman Catholic and Protestant churches agree on this. The actual problem for the Evangelical representatives is merely, How do I tell my child? from SCHREI UM MITTERNACHT 12/95 (a German newspaper) William Grasse, Professor of Religion at Temple University says:... United Religions Initiative From their Web Page: Q. Who will refuse to worship the beast? We now have a World Wide organization called the United Religions Initiative - that was launched this year (2000) to Unite the worlds religions as one! ( Note all the symbols INCLUDING CHRISTIAN shown as part of one uniting the world. A. Believers in Jesus Christ the Messiah, who have been saved following the Rapture (Rev. 13:8). Today, believers (as well as other groups including cults) are already being set up or targeted for this coming persecution. Strasbourg- A directory of religious cults looks likely to be approved by the Council of Europe in the wake of the Waco disaster in the USA, in which 80 sect members burnt to death this week. A report before the 26 nation council of ministers voices concern over religious cults. Member governments are asked to set up and collect information, which should then be "widely circulated" to the general public.12 The initial group put together included the Full Gospel Businessmen's Association and the Assemblies of God Church! USA Today (4/21/95) reports: "Today the groups tend to believe the Bible predicts the end of the world is near.... Such seemingly unrelated events as the Israeli's gaining control of Jerusalem in 1967, the threat of nuclear war and shifts in the global economy are among the signs cultists see that - as prophesied in the Bible the end is near and Jesus Christ will return." Just recently, the USA Attorney General s office established something called "The Cult Awareness Task Force." They created a document that describes just what a cult is. Here is their definition of a cult: "A cultist is one who has a strong belief in the Bible and the Second Coming of Christ; who has a high level of financial giving to a Christian cause; who home schools his children; who has accumulated survival foods and has a strong belief in the Second Amendment, and who distrusts big Government." 10 That is the definition of a cult according to our government, via its Cult Awareness Task Force. 139

38 In other words, TODAY ACCORDING TO OUR GOVERNMENT, IF YOU BELIEVE THAT THE BIBLE IS TRUE, YOU ARE A CULTIST! These cultist (as believers will be called) will be forced underground because society will determine LEGALLY that they are a threat to the common good of society. Can they do this? Yes, and more, TODAY! US Government Executive order "provides for the mobilization of all civilians into work brigades and work camps under government supervision." Public law calls for the elimination of the entire US Armed Forces and the elimination of all weapons from the hand of the public. Who will do the persecution and eventually the killing? John 16:2 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. 140

Everyone in the world will be forced to receive a unique physical identifier called the Mark of the Beast in the Bible. 666 Rev. 13:16-18 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, [17] so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. [18] This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666. During the Tribulation Period an identification system will be put in place that will initially lock us INTO an economic system Later, it will be used to lock Christians OUT of this same system There are many instances of this system already being put in placed. In Canada, for instance, today if you are a frequent flyer, you can opt to have an invisible bar code tattooed on your hand so that you simply scan yourself through customs at the airport. USA TODAY, July 21, % of Americans would accept a nationwide ID system for use in health care and curbing illegal immigration. Almost 2/3rds say they will accept a UNIQUE PHYSICAL IDENTIFIER. INFORMATIONWEEK, January 16, 1995 Note: where are they putting these numbers? In the FOREHEAD! Without the proper identification no one will be able to buy or sell (Rev. 13:17). In only a few days they will be able to flush out many who have refused to take the Mark, since crying babies without food will make it very difficult to refuse the Mark for very long. 42 Trilateral Commission Logo As shown left, the Trilateral Commission s logo is the shape of a triangle with three 6 s pointing towards the center (symbolizing that all will eventually come under the rule of ONE). The triangle is an occult symbol whose origins can be traced to ancient Babylon and in occult worship represents the unholy trinity of deities. The Trilateral Commission was set up to unite the three most prosperous areas of the world (Japan, Europe and the USA), hence Tri, and form the basis for Global Understanding that will bring the world into one-world government. In addition, many New Age groups reference the triangle as well as Satanic groups. Is the Trilateral Commission the 666 in the Bible? I doubt it, but it sure is uncanny how far they will go to imitate this Satanic Last Days organization. Alice Bailey further says in her speech, at the close of the age, the three major centers will be complete, unified and synchronized. 144

43 ARE THE LEADERS THAT ARE INVOLVED IN THE EU REALLY THIS ANTI-CHRIST? Some EU leader(s) had to approve this poster. The Winds of Change, was created to announce the arrival of a New Europe or the EU by The Council of Europe. The caption says, Europe: Many Tongues, One Voice. Ironically, it depicts the REBUILDING OF BABYLON (where God confused the languages of the world and forced the world to separate). It also depicts ELEVEN stars (remember Dan 7:24 called for 11 horns!). These stars are not ordinary stars, however...they are satanic pentagrams! The satanic pentagram is a welcome symbol in the New Age. The use of this so called divine symbol signals the awakening of the cosmic consciousness. Eliphas Levi, was the first to adapt the inverted pentagram as a symbol of evil. The Baphomet (upside down pentagram to allow the Goats head to be viewed) is the official symbol of the Satanic church which was started by Anton Szandor La Vey in The Circle in the Wiccan (an ancient pagan religion celebrating witchcraft) logo (left) symbolizes eternity and infinity - the obvious reference to the snake refers to their belief in Satan s eternal and infinite reign. Why use these symbols to announce the coming of the EU? The answer is that it will initially be perceived as a good thing. The elimination of cash will have probably preceded this, creating the way to use an identifying mark! The Mark will initially be used to lock us IN to a economic system and then later lock us OUT of the system. Why will people accept this mark? According to Dec. 26, 1992 TIME magazine, "It is estimated that today, 80% of all currency printed in the USA cannot be located because of being concealed by drug dealers." "The US government is exploring the use of smart card technology for it's universal health card, because the microchip in the smart card can retain... 4 megs or the equivalent of 16,000 single space typed text! Toshiba has developed a chip that can retain a gigabyte of information for up to 100 years! 145

44 In an article entitled, "I've Got You Under My Skin," BUSINESS WEEK magazine (May 19, 1997) announced the invention of a small liquid crystal display that can be implanted beneath the skin on the wrist. The display is visible through the skin, and can serve as a watch or as a monitor of biological functions. The author of the article, Catherine Arnst, says that Interval Research Corp of Palo Alto holds the patent for the device. Interval was started by a group that includes Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft Corporation. This technology is coming whether we like it or not says Terry Galanoy, former Director of Communications for Visa International. "Protesting too loudly about it isn't going to help either, because the disturbance you kick up is going to end up in one of your files. And on that come and get it day when we are totally and completely dependent on our card - or whatever security device might replace it you might be left all alone without one!" [republished in Parade Magazine pg 12, Dec. 26, 1999]. The Mark of the Beast is his followers agreement about the Antichrist's opinion of God. It is, in essence, a covenant! Followers will know that by taking it they are buying into the Antichrist's agenda. The economic impact is secondary to the spiritual impact: Rev. 14:9-11 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, [10] he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. [11] And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name." NOTE: Worship of the beast PRECEDES the taking of the mark! This passage is all about worship, not about taking the mark! Those who do not take the Mark of the Beast will not have the ability to buy or sell. Imagine, not being able to buy food for your young baby, or gasoline to escape persecution. Your assets will be frozen and you will be locked out of the economic banking system. This is not a time to be here on planet earth! Truly, we can see that the power behind the scene is Satanic. 146

45 XI. The Russian army (called the "king of the north") as well as the southern army (Egypt) will invade Israel. God will supernaturally wipe them out. But I thought that the threat from Russia was over? As this is being written, Russia is in terrible turmoil, in economic crisis and is the most unstable it has been since it moved away from communism. Russia presently has over 5 million soldiers in its army. Is this for peace keeping purposes only? Russia has over 1 million KGB agents operating as interior guards. Russia has failed to initiate any of the nuclear arms inspection agreements announced by Yeltsin and Pres. Clinton. Russia has a doomsday machine they call DEAD HAND. It is a computerized system that will fire its nuclear arsenal in wartime if its commanders are dead and unable to direct the battle. The Russians have a super plague developed that the west has no antidote for. Only 440 pounds of this material sprayed from planes could kill over 500,000 people. President Clinton has allowed Russia to move its mobile SS-ICBM s (or sell them) as long as they are reclassified as space launchers. Russia still has over 30,000 nuclear weapons (although 46 of them are known to be missing). They (in the west) repeat over and over again that our army is in total disarray. To use a not so literary term, it is an utter lie. Boris Yeltsin in an article entitled WE WILL NOT FLIRT WITH NATO, Los Angeles Times 1999 Let me quote Dimitri Manuilski, Mikhail Gorbachev's teacher in the late 1930's: " War to the hilt between communism and capitalism is inevitable. Today, of course, we are not strong enough to attack. Our time will come in thirty to forty years. To win, we shall need the element of surprise. The bourgeoisie...will have to be put to sleep. So we shall begin by launching the most spectacular peace movement on record. There will be electrifying overtures and unheard of concessions. The capitalist countries, stupid and decadent, will rejoice to cooperate in their own destruction. They will leap at the chance to be friends. As soon as their guard is down, we will smash them with our clenched fist." 12 You may recall that Gorbachev was the architect of Russia s Perestroica (the unbelievable about face from communism to western style government). Today, Gorbachev may still be the most powerful world figure in the world, although he exercises his power behind the scenes. His organization, which is housed on the grounds of the ex-military compound in San Francisco, regularly holds meetings with top world leaders. Was Gorby (as he is affectionately called) simply initiating his teacher s plan? Time will tell. Daniel 11:13 For the king of the North will muster another army, larger than the first; and after several years, he will advance with a huge army fully equipped. Daniel 11:40 "At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. 147

46 Notice: At the time of the end, the King of the South is Egypt and head of the Islamic coalition. A quick diet: Russia now has a bomb they call the Elipton Bomb, which literally dissolves flesh off the skeletons of people. This is prophesied in: Zech. 14:12 This is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. (Also Ez.39:1-12) From the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs: Israel Acquiring Banned American Laser That Melts Eyeballs of Enemies by Tim Kennedy July 1996, pgs. 36, 112 [The weapon is] an intense beam of laser light can melt the eyeballs of a soldier before he has a chance to blink." Simply put: total, permanent blindness, says a staff eye specialist at the Walter Reed army hospital in Washington, DC who served as a medical consultant for several antipersonnel laser testing programs. The laser light literally melts the eyeball. In order to finally have the USA capitulate to Russia, Russia must control two strategic supplies: oil, and the minerals of South Africa. (There are 12 strategic minerals mined ONLY in South Africa and Russia that are essential for the production of advanced technologies and missile defense.) According to Soviet Secretary Leonid Brezhnev in the 1973 Brezhnev Doctrine: " We will take the two great treasure chests upon which the west depends: The strategic oil reserves in the middle-east and the strategic minerals in Southern Africa, and then we will dictate the terms of surrender to the USA and the west. This alliance with all the players is being put into place even as this is being written. This end time (not THE end time battle) is revealed to us in the OT book of Ezekiel: Ezekiel 38:1-23 The word of the Lord came to me: [2] "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him [3] and say: 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. [4] I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army--your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. [5] Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, [6] also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops--the many nations with you. [7] " 'Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. [8] After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. [9] You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land. [11] You will say, "I will invade a land of unwalled villages;* I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people--all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. [12] I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land." [13] Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages will say to you, "Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?" ' [14] "Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? [15] You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. [18] This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord.. I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur** on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. [23] And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.' * At the time of Ezekiel s writing an unwalled village was unheard of. The chief means of defense was a strong, walled village. Yet Ezekiel tells it like it is. He includes this (at that time) incredible description twice because he foresaw a time when unwalled villages were no longer effective against things like SCUD missiles. ** I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur. This is a pretty good description of a limited nuclear confrontation. All of these countries are presently being put into their respective coalition even AS YOU AND I SPEAK! The instruments being used are NATO, The Euro Corps (under Germany) the Islamic Coalition, and Russia. Interesting: The Great Wall of China, which is built on the Russian/Chinese border, is called in China "The Wall To Keep Out Magog." 149

49 Is Israel setting up ties with Germany (Gomer)? Left UK Sunday Telegraph 3/11/01 So the Bible Says that Germany and Russia will play significant roles in the Last Days! With her back against the wall, Israel has no choice but to defend herself. Against such overwhelming odds Israel fires off a nuclear response raining down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on her enemies. This will have to be a last resort effort since the giving away of land for peace (the West Bank and Golan Heights) to the Palestinians, means that she will have to partially expose herself to nuclear fallout. ** It is not clear from the text in Exekiel 38, whether NATO enters to protect or to join. My opinion is that they enter to protect since the majority of NATO forces are also the EU. The text even suggests this because it specifically refers to Gomer (Germany) with all its troops. It could also be a separate army such as the Eurocorps which, as shown, already exists today for some unknown future purpose. The reason they enter might be due to the contract the Antichrist has made with Israel, or to protect their interests in the strategic metals of South Africa as well as their oil interests. Whatever the case, they appear to enter late. 151

51 thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? * from Eaton's Bible Dictionary 1996 describing the Biblical city of Tarshish:...there can be little doubt, however, that this is the name of a Phoenician port in Spain, Columbus sailing under the authority and flag of Spain discovered America, although Columbus was Portuguese. The ancient people groups of Sheba, Dedan and Tarshish also settled England whose symbol is The LION. The USA could very well be the exact fulfillment of this prophecy since we would be known in our relationship to England as her strong lion! Can I say with all authority that this is the way it is or will be? No, but it certainly is uncanny how accurate the scenario could be. What are the odds of depicting this future scenario with any kind of accuracy in Ezekiel s day? Absolutely astronomical! Yet, ironically, he got every country, every alliance and (if the USA is included) every power and geographical location pinpointed with incredible accuracy. Was it Ezekiel or was it God? XII. China crosses the "dry" Euphrates River and marches to Israel with 200 million soldiers. (Turkey now has in place 15 dams to dry it up!) Rev. 16:12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. Rev. 9:14-17 It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." [15] And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. [16] The number of the mounted troops was two hundred million. I heard their number. [17] The horses and riders I saw in my vision looked like this: Their breastplates were fiery red, dark blue, and yellow as sulfur. The heads of the horses resembled the heads of lions, and out of their mouths came fire, smoke and sulfur. Incredibly, the Chinese army uniforms are dark blue, and their flag is fiery red and yellow as sulfur (in the same way that the USA flag is red, white and blue). 153

52 When John wrote Revelation, there were only about 200 million people total in the whole world! This is why he felt compelled to say, I heard their number in the passage. Until World War II only 12 battles in all of history had ever had more than 50,000 people on any one side. From the CIA World Factbook Military Manpower (1997 est.) This will grow to over 125 million men by the year 2000!17 If you want to create an incentive to get these men to move somewhere, tell them there are women in another area! According to (TIME Magazine March 25, 1996): There are presently over 100 million unemployed migrant workers in China now. 30% of China's total budget is earmarked for defense and increasing at 40% per year! According to the US Defense Department "...{sic China's} long term goal is to be a global military peer of the USA. The peace and prosperity of the world in the next century depends in many ways on what Beijing does." They have built a road throughout the south of China heading straight towards Israel--yet no one is allowed to use this road today! It is built for some future unknown purpose! What are the odds of picking the exact geographical area, the exact colors of the army and flag, and the exact number of soldiers in this army 2,000 years ago? Astronomical! Unless of course you are - - God. Q. What does China need to complete her journey through the Industrial Age and into a world power? A. OIL! Whoever controls the oil of the Middle East will control the world. For example, Japan and Europe have less than 100 days of oil reserves NOW! From the Kansas City Star 5/4/97 (Page A10) on the closing of the Strait of Hormuz through which 20 % of the world s total oil supply travels: If Iran feels that its security is threatened it will definitely not allow the region to remain safe for the passage of oil. (Re-quoted from the English speaking Tehran Times.) There is a very interesting set of verses in Deut. 33:19, 24,25... "They shall call the people unto the mountain: there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid 154

53 in the sand." {Oil is a treasure hidden in the sand.} "And of Asher he said. Let Asher be blessed with children: let him be acceptable to his brethren: and let him dip his foot in oil..." Asher today is a county in Israel located on the Mediterranean Sea, and at the southern end (the feet) Israel has found a massive deposit of oil--the only place in Israel! God predicted this 3,000 years ago. A man by the name of Andy SoRelle, a Christian, read this passage, and got permission to drill on the spot where they found oil. (This is all chronicled in the JERUSALEM POST, Sept. 11, 1981). XIII. The Armies of the World gather On the Plains of Armageddon And Here God Takes Them Out They come Antichrist! initially AGAINST the Daniel 11:40-45 "At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. [41] He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. [42] He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape.[43] He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Nubians in submission. [44] But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many. [45] He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him. They then turn to take on Jesus Christ Rev. 19:19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. This rider is Jesus! Rev. 16:16 Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. Zech. 14:2-5 I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. [3] Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle. [4] On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. [5] You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him. 155

54 There is now a newly discovered fault line directly under the Mount of Olives that was never known to be there before. Note: The instructions to flee in the above Scripture only make sense to a Jew. Most Christians don t even know that there was a King Uzziah in the Bible let alone the route they took during an earthquake. This is just another clue that this time is for the salvation of the JEWS (although millions of Gentiles will be saved). Today we live in the time when Gentiles are the majority being saved, yet more Jews are being saved at this time then the total amount of Jews since the first Christian church. Note: Verse 5 all the holy ones with him. These are those people who were raptured before the Tribulation. This is another reference to the Rapture PRIOR to all of this carnage? Also: Col. 3:4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. The only way we can appear WITH Him " in glory" is to have already gone to be WITH Him in the Rapture. Since the Jews (and all believers in Jesus Christ, the Messiah, converted after the Rapture) are God's only recognizable, attackable and visible people on earth, the Antichrist will try to finish what Hitler started and wipe them off the face of the earth. There is no other reason to come to Armageddon! The New World Order and the Mark of the Beast are all that is needed to prove that the world does not want need or have any interest in God! Mass persecution of God s people takes place and, if God did not shorten those days, no human life would remain on earth. 156

55 Matthew 24:22 If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. Finally, Jesus sets foot back on planet earth and takes care of The Beast, The False Prophet, the Kings of the earth and their armies. He takes back His rightful position of authority (won on the cross, but laid aside until this very moment) on this planet. Rev. 19:19-21 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. [20] But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. [21] The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh. * * Ironically, the greatest migration of wild birds in the entire world occurs every year over Israel as birds from Europe and Russia migrate south to Africa. This time they will stay a little longer, because a feast is waiting for them. XIV. Jesus returns to Planet Earth as the Conquering Messiah in fulfillment of the OT Prophecies. Jesus never said He might return; He said I will return. One twentieth of the New Testament speaks of His return. There are over three hundred references to His Second Coming. Twenty-three of the twenty- seven books of the New Testament speak of it! There are more references for the second coming of Jesus than the first! According to a recent US News and World Report poll (12/15/97, pg. 65), 66% of all Americans (including one third who say they never attend church) believe that Jesus will return to earth some day (up 5% from just three years ago).14 What s it like after Jesus comes back? Satan is bound for a thousand years Rev. 20:1-2 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. [2] He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. Jesus finally sets up the Millennial Kingdom. The Kingdom is finally put back on track. Rev. 20:4-6 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. [5] (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. [6] Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no 157

56 power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. Jesus will return the world to the pre-flood conditions and humans will once again live in a perfect environment. (Romans 8:20-21, Is. 2:2-4, 11:1-16, 65:17-26, Rev. 20:1-5) Jerusalem becomes the capital of the world (Isaiah 2:2-4). All nations and peoples will come to Jerusalem to worship Jesus the Messiah (Isaiah 11:1-16, 65:17-25) During that time, if you live to be only 100 years old you will be thought of as accursed of God. Isaiah 65:20 "Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; he who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere youth; he who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed. God has fulfilled ALL the Covenants! For the Jews: They have an earthly inheritance. The Jews will now rule and reign from Jerusalem in fulfillment of the Abrahamic Covenant (LAND FOREVER!). They have one King over them, Jesus the Messiah. in fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant. They have had their 70 sets of seven years and they now finally accept Jesus as their Messiah. They have been made forever zcleansed, their sins are forgiven and forgotten in fulfillment of the New Covenant. Zech. 12:10 "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. For Christians: They have a heavenly inheritance. We will now rule and reign from Heaven in fulfillment of Jesus promise in: John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 2 Tim. 2:11-12 Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; [12] if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; This means that we will literally LIVE in heaven, but because we have NEW bodies we will be able to do as Jesus did when he got his new body - go through walls and travel back and forth between heaven and earth at will. Isaiah 2:2-4 In the last days the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, 158

57 and all nations will stream to it. [3] Many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. [4] He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation,nor will they train for war anymore. We will not remember those who didn't make it, nor will we have any sorrow Babies will not die in infancy We will work and build houses etc. Isaiah 65:17-25 "Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. [18] But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy. [19] I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more. [20] "Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; he who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere youth; he who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed. [21] They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. [22] No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands. [23] They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them. [24] Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear [25] The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent's food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain," says the Lord. 159

58 After the Millennium or 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ on earth Satan will be released. What! Rev. 20:7-10 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison [8] and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth--gog and Magog-to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. [9] They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. [10] And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Q Why Must Satan Be Loosed? To tempt those who were born during this period. Not every Christian during the Tribulation will be killed. These enter the millennium period with human bodies, human desires, human emotions and these believers repopulate the earth. Timeline of the End-times 7 years of tribulation Rapture Jesus returns Millenium All God s enemies are gone Their children will then have the opportunity to make their choice. Only those who have made a choice of their free will are saved; everyone will have the opportunity to choose God or not, even in the millennium. Why? Even in a perfect environment, people's hearts are still basically wicked. Those who are born during this period will not have Satan and his demons to tempt them for a thousand years; however, since they are born with a sin nature they will have to choose. Satan is defeated again and thrown into the "Lake of Fire". Rev. 20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. After Satan is thrown into the Lake of fire, the Great White Throne Judgment will take place. Rev. 20:11-15 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. [12] And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. [13] The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. [14] Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. [15] If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. 160

59 Here the dead without Christ are judged and thrown into the Lake Of Fire (Rev. 21:11-15). Note: The Lake of Fire was built to hold super beings called angels who had rebelled. God did not create it for humans. However, humans who have not chosen God have already made a choice. That choice is to remain in the condition they are born into (which is separated from God). They will be given their wish and join Satan, separated from God for all eternity in the Lake of Fire. Rev. 20:4-6 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. [5] (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. [6] Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. Q. If you die without Christ today when will you meet your maker? A. The interim of time between now and the Rapture + seven years +1,000 years! Q. What about the Jews? Only one third of the Jews have survived the Tribulation holocaust, but all of these will be saved. Zech. 13:8-9 In the whole land," declares the Lord, "two-thirds will be struck down and perish; yet one-third will be left in it. [9] This third I will bring into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are my people,' and they will say, 'The Lord is our God.' " Zech. 12:10 "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. 161

60 Q. Is anyone else saved during this Tribulation Period? Yes! Rev. 7:9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. Rev. 7:13-14 Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes--who are they, and where did they come from?" I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. John could count 200 million soldiers from the Kings of the East, but could not number the amount of people saved during the tribulation. The last great harvest of believers in Jesus Christ the Messiah will occur AFTER Christians have gone in the Rapture. During the Tribulation, people who become believers in Jesus Christ the Messiah (this will be very difficult since the Holy Spirit will be removed with the Church) will have to resist the Mark Of The Beast (666) (Rev. 13:16-18) and will be persecuted and eventually die for their faith. Q. Why does God not stop this earlier? A. When God set into motion this whole time period called MAN, He saw the end from the beginning. He saw every person who would live on the earth and He saw whether they would reject Him or receive Him. To stop this any time prior to the last person who will receive Jesus as the Messiah of his or her free will is to condemn that person and all in between to eternal damnation. God will not do this. The last person into the Kingdom of God is going to be the happiest person in the universe. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' [23] Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' A warning to religious people! This passage is about religious people. These are people who were in church every Sunday, who in their minds were doing their religious duty. However, while they looked religious they never had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This is why Jesus says, I never KNEW you. But is this what God wants? 162

61 What is the will of the Father? John 6:40 For this is the will of my Father, That everyone who beholds the Son and believes in him may have eternal life: and I myself will raise him up on the last day. NAS Could all these prophecies up until now be fulfilled as a matter of coincidence? I believe God has eliminated that possibility by giving us way too many signs, all culminating in this generation, that would have to come true. It is a virtual impossibility that chance has chosen this generation to see the end. Prophecy is a tremendous affirmation that God is the one true God. No one but God would stake his reputation on foretelling the future. NO OTHER RELIGIOUS SYSTEM IN THE WORLD INCLUDES PROPHECIES IN ITS SACRED WRITINGS! WHY? Because religious systems designed by MEN cannot run the risk of having their spiritual house of cards demolished by unfulfilled or wrong prophecies. This is the FIRST and ONLY generation that has seen all of these pieces come together. At all times in the past SOME of the prophecies looked like they were coming true but not until this generation have all of these signs come together. We have only scratched the surface by looking at only a few prophecies -- there are hundreds more. All are either fulfilled or in the process of being fulfilled. Daniel 12:4 But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge." Luke 21:31-33 Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near. [32] "I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. [33] Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Isaiah 46: 8-11 "Remember The Former Things Long Past, For I Am God, And There Is No One Like Me. Declaring The End From The Beginning... Truly I Have Spoken: Truly I Will Bring It To Pass. I Have Planned It, Surely I Will Do It. (NAS) The will of the Father is that all that behold Him (Jesus) will believe and accept His free gift of salvation. We have seen the Lord Jesus from Genesis all the way through the Book of Revelation. WE HAVE BEHELD HIM! According to the Bible, we must have a personal relationship with Jesus. Going to church, getting baptized, giving money to the church are all nice -- but they won t save you. 163

Accept His free gift as your conscious choice Believe in your heart Confess it with your mouth. - Just Do It - End of Lesson V How do you enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? You can enter into this personal relationship at this very minute through believing and sending that prayer to God. Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Here is how to do it: Tell Him you have sinned and have led your life apart from His direction and will. Tell God you repent of your selfishness and that you desire to enter into a personal relationship with Him. Tell God you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and ask Him to forgive your sins. Invite the Holy Spirit direct your life from this time until you die. If you have sincerely prayed to accept Jesus Christ into your life, congratulations! You are now a child of God, destined to spend eternity in heaven. In order to establish an ever-increasing relationship with Jesus, you need talk to Him through prayer and seek His will for direction of your life. Get a Bible and read parts of it on a daily basis. A good place to start is the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1-7:29). The gospel of John is an excellent place to begin learning more about Jesus. 65 Who is Scott Barkley and who does he think he is that he can teach the Bible in a 5 week study called Bible Trek? I was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania USA in My parents were divorced when I was 10 years old and I then lived in a series of abusive foster homes. After graduating from High School, I traveled to California during the heyday of the late 1960 s and early 70 s. This started a lifestyle of alcohol and drug abuse. Due to my childhood and later counter-culture influence, I ended up at the point in my life where I literally hated God for the childhood that I had endured. Literally shaking my fist at God, I told God to leave me alone. I wanted nothing to do with a God who would allow this childhood nightmare. That hate would eventually influence every relationship I had. It eventually drove me to the lowest point of my life. Caught in an adulterous affair, I watched my wife and young daughter leave. The affair happened at work and I lost my job, my house and everything that meant anything to me. At this point, I asked God to pick up the pieces of my life never really expecting that the God I hated would do so. God answered that prayer, delivering me from substance and alcohol abuse, restoring my marriage and the relationships that I had ruined over the many years of running from God. For 22 years I worked for large International companies in Sales and Marketing in both the water filtration and in the software industry. I am a graduate of the Institute of Latin American Studies, Cuernavaca, Mexico and have an MBA from Columbia State University. I currently own a Foreign Exchange Trading Software company. I live with my wife of over 34 years outside Austin, Texas USA and have three daughters and three grandchildren.
