4 *AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles Creed I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. RESPONSE TO GOD S WORD PRAYER OF INTERCESSION After each petition we enter into the prayer together with these words: Lord, in your mercy, Hear our prayer. INVITATION TO THE LORD S TABLE PRAYER OF CONFESSION Almighty God, in raising Jesus from the tomb you have given us the sure sign of your power to deliver us from sin and death and to renew our whole creation. We confess that we still fall into doubt and fear. We continue to cling to selfish ways and doubt your power to make all things new. Forgive our lack of faith. Have mercy on our weakness. Raise us from the death of sin that we may live with Christ in the joy of his resurrection, now and forever. Amen.

As a forgiven and reconciled child of God, you are invited to give your offerings and gifts to God by placing them in the offering plate when you come forward to receive communion. CAMP G.R.A.C.E. Camp Grace is looking for youth (completed 6th grade by June 2018) and adults who love children and want to share God s love with them this summer! July 9-13 our church will join other area Methodist churches to host Camp Grace at North Belmont Elementary School. This year s theme is Son Rise, sharing the stories of our Easter faith. 8 Youth Happenings youth programs schedule: Sunday 5:30 Youth Choir 6-8:00 Youth Group On Sunday, June 3rd we will recognize all 2018 High School graduates during our 11 o clock worship service. We ll also honor all other graduates. Please share names and graduation information with us for all those graduating from colleges, university and graduate programs. Send information to Margie@fumcbelmont.org by May 21st for inclusion in our June 3rd worship bulletins. June 3rd is Youth Sunday! Students will be leading BOTH worship services this day. Each and every youth is encouraged to participate. We will be planning these services on May 13th and May 20th during our regular youth group time.

9 SPAGHETTI LUNCHEON - JUNE 3RD Immediately after the 11:00 worship spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert Donations will go to support Jack O'Tuel's Eagle Scout project. His project is to build a new and exciting game called GaGa which will be constructed behind the Youth House. Any additional money raised outside the needed funding to pay for supplies will go toward purchasing picnic tables and other outdoor seating opportunities for the youth space. Please come and support Jack in his service project which will help him complete the rank of Eagle Scout.
