We are pleased to have Bishop Timothy Doherty, S.T.L., Ph.D., speak to us about Safeguarding the Dignity of Every Human Person. He completed his license (STL) in moral theology in 1982 at the Alfonsian Academy of the Lateran University in Rome. In 1996, he completed his doctorate in Christian ethics at Loyola University, Chicago. Bishop Doherty is a member of the Healthcare subcommittee of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). He is a consultant to the USCCB Committee on Doctrine. He is the appointed USCCB episcopal liaison to the Catholic Health Association of the United States Board of Trustees (2012- present), and an episcopal moderator to the National Catholic Council on Addictions (2012-present). Bishop Doherty is an ex-officio board member of the Indiana Catholic Conference. 2

Works of Mercy - by Dr. Jeff Oelker, Director of Ministry and Operations, St. Louis DeMontfort Church, on how what are works of mercy and how to incorporate them into our weekly lives. 12. Ecumenism - by Deacon Jim Rush, diocesan Ecumenical and Interreligious Officer, on best practices in respecting the faith traditions of others with whom we work. 13. Annulments: What you should know. - by Nancy Goldfarb, Pastoral Associate, Holy Spirit Church, on a general overview of the annulment process and the reception of the Sacraments. 14.
