Join us of for the set-up and promotion of Christmas Village! There are many things to be done and we would be so grateful for you to be a part! This sign up is for promotions in the Main Lobby and for the Set-up and Decorating Day on November 25, 9 AM - 2 PM. We will need construction, painters, seamstress, decorators and those who are willing to lend a helping hand. What s Going On Here? 1 What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Rom. 4:1-3 5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 6 just as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, In you all the nations shall be blessed. 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. Gal. 3:5-9

And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Heb. 11:8-9,17 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. Eph. 2:8-9

Well what about this? 20 But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? 22 You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected. Jam. 2:20-22

Found only in the Gospel of John, the Greek word translated it is finished is tetelestai, an accounting term that means paid in full. When Jesus uttered those words, He was declaring the debt owed to His Father was wiped away completely and forever. Not that Jesus wiped away any debt that He owed to the Father; rather, Jesus eliminated the debt owed by mankind the debt of sin.
