4 How Do You Feel Right Now? Powerful? Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

5 Or Do You Feel Powerless Like David? Psalm 32:4 my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. See also Psalm 22:15; 31:10

6 Power is Key To The Kingdom 1 Corinthians 4:20: For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power.

7 Psalm 21:13 Worship Him For His Power Be exalted, O LORD, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power. See also Psalm 59:16; 105:4

9 1. The Unique Power of the Gospel To Change Hearts

10 Power to Testify Acts 4:33: And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. See also Acts 9:22; 18:28; Micah 3:8

11 The Word is the Power 1 Corinthians 1:17-18 For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. See also 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

18 Power to Endure With Patience and Joy Colossians 1:11: May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy,

19 Strength Through Exercise Colossians 1:29 I toil (labor), struggling (agonizing) with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.

22 Extraordinary Power Acts 5:12-15 At the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were taking place among the people... Acts 19:11-12 God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, See also Acts 3:1-8, 2 Timothy 4:16-17

24 How do I get the Power?

25 First, Get Right With God. James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

26 Pray for Strength God will Answer Psalm 138:3 On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased. See also Psalm 86:16; 119:28

27 Claim The Promises Acts 1:8: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you...and you shall be my witnesses.

28 NOT MY BUT THY WILL BE DONE Isaiah 41:10 I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. See also Isaiah 40:29, Psalm 10:17

29 Wait on the Lord Isaiah 40:31 but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
