3 Romans 11:33-12:2 33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! 34 Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? 35 Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?

4 36 For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. 1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God this is your true and proper worship.

5 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will.

6 Worship is not part of you, it is the whole you Worship is not occasional, it is continual Worship is not about taking, it is about giving Worship is less about what we do at church, it is more about what we do at work Worship is not the Sunday event, it is everyday

7 There can only be one call to worship, and this comes at conversion, when in complete repentance we admit to worshiping falsely, trapped by the inversion and enslaved to false gods before whom we have been dying sacrifices. This call to true worship comes but once, not every Sunday, in spite of the repeated called to worship that begin most liturgies and orders of worship. 9 1) Sunday s Doxology (vs )

11 Leviticus 23:3 3 There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a sabbath to the LORD.

12 Numbers 15: While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day. 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly, 34 and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him.

13 35 Then the LORD said to Moses, The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp. 36 So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses.

14 A) Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath (Matthew 12:8, Luke 6:5)

15 Mark 2:27-28 The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.

16 B) A Conviction Rather Than Specification

17 Romans 14:5-6 5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. 6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord.

18 According to Romans, the doctrine of justification by faith is the greatest stimulus for worship

19 Hebrews 10: And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

20 2) Monday s Sacrifice (Romans 12:1)

21 Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God this is your true and proper worship.

23 The spiritual high of Sunday will always lose its effect by Monday

24 Every year is made up of 52 one-week sprints

26 If you do not worship God seven days a week, you do not worship Him on one day a week. There is no such thing known in heaven as Sunday worship unless it is accompanied by Monday worship and Tuesday worship and so on. - A. W. Tozer -

28 A) The Entirety of my Body

29 Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

30 Worship is a whole body experience

31 B) The Sacrifice of my Body

32 Everyday worship will occupy your time and consume your energy and pinch your wallet

33 1 Corinthians 9: Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

34 C) The Holiness of My Body

35 A Holy God will not receive defiled worship

36 Acts 17:30 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.

37 3) Tuesday s Transformation (Romans 12:2)

38 Romans 12:2 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will.

39 John 17: My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

40 With the mind of Christ we can better assess: Will this help me in my worship or will this distract me from my worship? You can now say yes and no to things with worshipful conviction

41 The moment we stop transforming is the moment we stop worshipping

42 Colossians 3: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are [worshipping].

43 Because God is God, we are worshippers. That is our real primary occupation.
