1 MCGRATH/PIPKIN COMMUNITY GROUP Brad Arakelian - Ministry Location: Tijuana, Mexico bradleynelarak@att.net (DP 3/22) Pray for Hector and family as they seek a new church to attend and be involved with. Pray for Brad as he disciples and mentors men in Tijuana the 2 nd & 4th Saturdays of the month and in San Diego each Sunday before Sunday School. Pray for Brad as he seeks to discern where God is calling him now. Francisco Juachin Ministry Location: Buen Pastor, Tijuana, Mexico (DP 3/22) Pray for the Presbyterian Church of Mexico to follow through on their decision to discontinue involvement with the PCUSA and to revoke the ordination those women who have recently been ordained. Pray for the men s group to go through the Peacemaker s video series. Pray for the elders & pastor to work diligently to pastor the church in that place. Pray for them to stand firm for right doctrine. Pray for the Sunday School class on Grace. Pray that those recently ordained will teach the truth. Pray for the presbytery as they strategize on how to have a reformed seminary in Tijuana. Pray for Ramon Beltran, that he will faithfully attend SS and church. Emma and Allen Kiwanuka Ministry location: Kampala, Uganda zanpresb@infocom.com (4/12) That God will bring the students of his choice to the college and seminary. Pray for the Ugandan incorporation of the college and seminary as a university. This is important because graduates find it difficult to pursue further studies without the program being accredited. Graduates cannot get good employment in Uganda and neighboring countries. 99% of the pastors are bi-vocational as they cannot be fully funded by their churches. They must find jobs or begin micro-finance projects to sustain their families. Pray for a teacher training program to be started to prepare Christian teachers with Bible knowledge to be an influence in the nation and all of Africa. Churches are starting Christian schools but have no properly trained teachers. Pray that God will raise up an administrator to take over some of Emma s duties so that he can focus on preaching, teaching and mentoring students. Pray for wisdom and direction as planning is done for a pastoral internship program. For their busy schedule to have time for family & spiritual nourishment. Pray that God will raise up laborers. Pray for faith and integrity in the midst of a difficult situation. Pray for Uganda as the price of gas and commodities is skyrocketing. Pray for Joshua and Joel as they become more independent of their parents. Pray for Tessara, a young US teen who is living with them and helping with their church school. For Allen as she teaches and has leadership responsibilities at the newly started Secondary school at Zana & for these children to come to the Lord. For finances to build a high school complex, including laboratories for the science subjects. For more scholarships & funds from the students due to the rising food prices and other necessities. Pray for the college as it starts a work in Juba Sudan to extend training to churches there. Pray for unity in the church and Emma as he resumes preaching. 1

2 PIERCE/PARKHURST/WILLIAMS COMMUNITY GROUP Dave and Darlene Eby - Ministry Location: Kampala, Uganda ebyuganda@gmail.com (8/12) Pray for them as they are parents to 5 children, grandparents to 8 children and spiritual parents & grandparents to so many. Pray for much fruit from their trip to the US and their trip to Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi, where they met with former and prospective students, Dave preached at a church and on the radio, did a radio interview and taught a preaching conference for two mornings and Dar taught two ESL classes. Pray that their walk with the Lord will remain strong in the midst of spiritual warfare. Pray for encouragement and strength in the battle as the Seminary and College continue to expand. Pray for peace in Uganda - that the unrest that is occurring now will cease. Pray for the 27 who graduated from the seminary in December, that they will have places of ministry and means to make a living. Pray for the college and the seminary as they seek accreditation by the government of Uganda. Pray for plans to start a school of education and a school of nursing so that pastors may receive bi-vocational training. Pray for staff and students as a new seminary term began August 20 th and went for two weeks and then the college opened on September 3 rd. Pray for good health, physical strength and protection from accidents. 2

3 NUTTING/WITSKEN/MATSUO/FITZPATRICK COMMUNITY GROUP David and Eowyn Stoddard - Ministry Location: Berlin, Germany stoddards@missiontoberlin.com (5/12) Praise God they arrived safely. Praise God for a good place to live near the school. Pray for wisdom in how to use their time and what ministries to be involved with. Pray for healing for Eowyn from the antibiotics administered for diverticulitis. Pray that all numbness, burning, panic attacks, and severe joint pain will go away so that she might function each day. Pray that a from the insurance company which acknowledged that the Stoddards were living overseas will help to bring the insurance judgment to a quick and satisfactory settlement. Pray for provision for their mortgage payment while this remains unsettled. Pray that their passion for Berlin would be re-kindled as they prepare to return. Pray for them as they seek to adopt an older child. Pray for a good match for their family. Uganda Children s Sponsorship Program (Sue 3/22) PTL for provision of funding for all students. PTL for a good trip for Sue and Pat to provide accountability. Pray for strength for Sue Walson and Pat Vawter as they work administrating the program. Pray for helpers to take on various roles in administering the program. Pray especially for Charles L. who will be traveling about making sure all the students have their school fees paid. Pray for the students that they may have good health, safety, and provision for their daily needs. Pray for Emarine that she might be part of a church. Pray that the students who do not know Christ, will hear of their need for a Savior and believe in Jesus Christ. Pray for Mary Nakato, for healing from surgery to remove a tumor. Pray for David Galiwango who is going to be learning what may help him see better. Pray for two eight-year-olds, Ruth and Esther, who will attend school for the first time. Pray as procedures are established for holding secondary and post-secondary school young people accountable in their studies. Pray for wisdom for all involved as financial procedures and plans are made. 3

4 ADAMS/KITABJIAN COMMUNITY GROUP Bruce and Pam Sinclair - Ministry Location: Kampala, Uganda bpsinclair@gmail.com (4/12) PTL for a teaching job for Celeste. Pray that the King of Glory will grow bigger in our eyes and in the lives of those with whom we serve. Implore the God of all nations to send a powerful working of His Spirit, bringing a great awakening and revival to East Africa. Ask the Lord of the Harvest to continue to use WTC graduates (including those who will finish in May) for His glory. Beseech the God of all Wisdom to guide the WTC faculty and board through the accreditation process. Pray for special grace in the fall semester as we will be on Home Ministry Assignment. Plead with El Olam (the eternal God) to use our months in the USA (May - December) for His eternal glory. Bid Jehovah-Jireh to provide for the needs of our ministry in Uganda as well as for the Edging and Church families. Beseech the Lord our Sanctifier to complete the good work he has begun in both us and in our children. Keith & Debbie - Ministry Location: Montreal, Canada - (8/12) Opportunities are opening for us to be a ministry resource for people and churches starting outreach to Muslims. Pray that God would give us the wisdom to be able to encourage these people. Pray for MBBs to be raised up to reach other Muslims. Pray for regular meetings that will include MBBs, local Christians and Muslims for Muslims to hear the gospel, have their questions answered and get to know real live Christians from both Christian and Muslim backgrounds. Pray that God would use these things to lay a foundation for planting churches for MBBs. Pray that God would continue to move Christians and churches here to reach out to Muslims. As the summer nears an end in Montreal, pray that we would be well organized for the fall and winter. Pray for roles in teaching English as a second language. Many Muslims desire their children to learn English so it is an excellent open door. Pray for an affordable, strategically located place to live on the island of Montreal for January. On the family side, pray for our son Colin who serves on the USS Oklahoma City. We have not heard from him for some months. We would really like to hear from him! Pray for his physical protection and health, that he successfully completes his qualification exams, and that God would continue to encourage his faith. 4

Building Relationships: Deepening love for the peoples of the ministry region. Protecting their Witness: Vibrant and consistent prayer life. Resources: Greater numbers of short-term workers returning for long-term service. Home & Family: For missionary kids issues of transition, schooling & friends; love for team & adoptive peoples. Our Global Family: Courage in persecution. People in Restricted-Access Countries: Fellowship for believers. The Church at Home: Enthusiasm for sharing the gospel. Behind the Scenes: Biblical & effective missions vision, strategies, & methodologies. Juan & Martha Arjona Ministry Location: Escondido, CA pastor@misionvidanueva.org (DP 8/12) Pray for provision for their financial needs. Pray for them as they work in the church plant, that God will strengthen them. Pray that God would raise up and for training of elders and deacons. Pray that the Food Distribution and devotional service every Saturday will grow and that more people will be encouraged to attend church through it. Pray that God will open hearts to the gospel. Pray for provision of 1-3 other churches who will help with the children s program on Saturdays during the food distribution. Pray for opportunities to share the gospel through the after school Safe Walk to Home program. Pray for wisdom for Martha as she works two jobs and ministers to the women of the church. Pray for the home Bible studies and pastoral discipleship. Pray for much fruit from the annual Día del Niño in April and for continued good relationships with the city and school district. Pray for comfort for the family and for ministry holes as their daughter, Lillian, is at Covenant College. David & Dawn Diaso & Ray & Michelle Call Ministry location: California/Mexico border (DP 5/12) (We look forward to cooperating with them although NCPC does not yet support them financially.) DIASOS: For the final part of their support to be provided. Pray for provision for those who desire to support them. For a house to buy here in San Diego. For a donated car or an inexpensive replacement for their car that died. For healing thru physical therapy of David, Jr s torn meniscus so that he won t need surgery. For comfort for them as they left children behind in Colorado. CALLS: Physical healing for Ray from kidney stones and intestinal problems. Friendships for the family. Strength for Michelle who is pregnant. MINISTRY: For wisdom, energy, and stamina for David and Ray as they work together. That the Lord will raise up people to be an administrator, trainer/educator, coordinator of mercy ministries, church planters and evangelist. Pray too for interns to join and help. For their partners, especially Stephen and Bradford Phelan as they lead and give direction to Harbor Mid-City. Pray for their team Edgardo & Elizabeth Avila, who lead the Spanish ministry. For Daniel Nunez and his ministry with Lo Mejor Del Trigo in Tijuana. For the Lord to raise up many Hispanic leaders. For those thinking and praying about joining the team: Zach, David Jr, Mario & Silvia, a couple in Denver, a veteran missionary with experience in Mexico, and people from a retreat in Sept. Pray for Zach as he is in San Diego this summer, working with Ray. For the ESL program to gain students and this ministry to expand to other churches in other areas. 5
