The word for this season is.resilience! Isaiah 40:31 says, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. As we look at the word WAIT, in this context, it means, to bind together by twisting (qavah, Strong s 6960). It is like the twisting together of two ribbons. As they become intertwined, they are no longer two separate pieces but become one. That is what it means to wait on the Lord: to bind together and become one with Him. We are to bind together with Him in prayer and wait on Him in worship. He says if we do so He will renew our strength, which means He will cause us to start again, begin anew, and He will cause us to return to our original place of strength, of might, and ability. The word strength also means substance and wealth (koach, Strong s 3581). This is not the season to be discouraged. God is saying, Put your trust and hope in Me, and I will make you resilient." To be resilient means to spring back in shape and to recover quickly from difficulties. It is the ability and power to become strong, healthy, and successful after something bad or negative has happened. It further means to withstand stress and respond with a bounce in your step - to respond with endurance and success. Our strategy for 2014 should be: 1. Spend time with God, waiting in His Presence. Bind together with Him 2. Reflect on your past year. Write down what you experienced, both good and not so good. 3. After reflecting on the past year, ask God A. What do you want me to learn? B. What do I need to let go of? What do I need to change? 4. Write your goals (not resolutions) for the New Year! Learn to rule your world by taking the necessary steps to accomplish goals. 5. Ask God for HIS strategy on how you are to advance into the new season ahead. Let Him renew your vision as you wait on Him. As you use those strategies, I believe He is going to renew your strength, make you resilient, and give you the resilience that will last all of your life so that you can rejoice in the days ahead.

2 As we are moving and going forth in this year, let s also be intentional in our saving. One great idea is to begin doing the money chart (see below). If you follow this chart, in 52 weeks you would have saved $1,378. I am asking each Eagle to go on this quest with me. If you use this formula, it will give you plenty for the Summit and for Christmas next year. Save more if possible. Get a calendar mark it so that you won t forget! To receive differently, you must do differently. Love you so much and I am excited for what God will do in each and every one of you this year! PAGE 2

Eagles International School of Worship In one sentence, state what you received from your year(s) in that particular school: During my year in EITISOW, I had the privilege of sitting at the feet of Apostle Elizabeth Hairston-McBurrows and receiving a major impartation from a loving spiritual mother, while also receiving a deeper understanding of obtaining and maintaining a lifestyle as a true worshipper. 8. How are you making or how do you desire to make an impact in your region through what you gained from your particular EITI school(s)? I will make an impact by being an example of a true worshipper and teaching others the importance and purpose of our worship. According to John 4:24, For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth." The word "must" makes it absolute; therefore we cannot worship the living God any way we choose. Worshipping in spirit and in truth is the only way our worship is acceptable unto God. The Eagles International School of Worship is a 10-month journey to worship. Many believers have settled for "praise" and not pushed through to the deeper intimacy the Lord desires to give His children- an intimacy that comes only through worship. 5 The Privilege of Prayer Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 One of the greatest and most powerful tools God has given us as His children is prayer. Prayer is a direct line of communication with our Father in heaven, giving us immediate access to Him at all times. It is also a privilege, being called on to meet with God daily in His throne room. We build a strong relationship with God through prayer and it should not be viewed as a burden, but as a privilege. To meet with God in prayer means that we have been given the freedom, the right, and the power to pray! This is the privilege of prayer, because God has placed the authority in our hands, it is up to us to simply use it. We are instructed in Ephesians 6:18, To pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. This scripture tells us that we are to make prayer our daily habit. Whether it is a prayer of faith or a prayer of intercession, we are to make our petitions clear before the Lord. We are to watch, pray, and meet God on behalf of everyone. When we come before His throne in prayer, we become open vessels that He can flow through. It is in the throne room where God gives us the responsibility to pray for others. This is the privilege of prayer. Prayer becomes a mirror in our lives and God will use our time of prayer to reveal who we really are. Have you ever found yourself in prayer on behalf of someone else only for God to begin to show you areas within yourself? This is the power and privilege of prayer. Prayer shows us our true state of being and lets us know that we must come into His presence with a clean and sincere heart. It is that heart to heart connection with God in prayer that allows Him to move here on earth. It is a privilege to be able to pray! Where would we be if we couldn t call on our Father, meet our Father, hear our Father? What if we were unable to access the presence of our Father in order to intercede for our family, friends, churches, communities, and even our nation? Prayer is power! It builds you, strengthens you, and keeps you. Prayer is not a burden but it is a privilege! Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
