2 By Mark R. Anderson Unreached Village Area 4,300 Turn To Christ Sharmila and I had a very fruitful trip to Northern India and Nepal. Three people from the USA joined us on these outreaches. Scott Lundgren, Sylvia Jenkins and Lisa Yow. They were a great blessing to have as part of our team. Our first outreach was to a rural area consisting of 40 villages near Sukhar, Nepal. It was an unreached area, with only 4 churches. We brought in people from many of these villages and other areas with tractor trollies. We conducted a three day open air campaign and saw about 4,300 villagers (mostly first time decisions) turned to Christ as word spread about all the undeniable miracles Jesus was doing. During the second day the local radio One of our team members Scott Lundgren takes time to take a photo with some villagers near Sukhar, Nepal. Mangri 101 years old was suffering with asthma and pain in his chest for 35 years. Instantly healed by Jesus! Main pastor who brought us into Sukhar, Nepal. Sita Ram - Deaf for seven years! Healed by Jesus! station came out and broadcast our entire service live. This station has a listening audience of over 1 million people. The radio manager, a Hindu was so impressed by what He saw Jesus do, that he invited us to his station the next day and offered us a half hour daily program spot to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is only costing us $125 per month. The closing night around 3,800 villagers gathered. We also spent three days training the few pastors and their leaders and distributed our books to them free of charge. Because of the anointing on our team for teaching, training, getting these leaders baptized in the Holy Ram Devi - One of many healed of kidney stones. Suffered for 4 years! Spirit and imparting to them I only spoke at one session. They did a great job! During the last evening I introduced the pastors who helped organize the campaign. After seeing many people healed during the mass prayer I asked the pastors to go out into the crowd and pray for those still needing healing. When the pastors prayed we gathered testimonies on the stage of the many undeniable miracles by Jesus. Latest word from this region each of the four churches have grown by 20 to 70 new members. Follow up continues. We sent money for 1,000 new testaments. Many healings continued on page 4 3

After finishing the outreach we visited our campaign coordinator Pastor Binod s training center where he is training church planters and others for the work of the ministry. We hope to send church planters over to Sukhar as we raise support to do so. Testimonies from Our Team Thank you Mark & Sharmila for the opportunity to join you all in Western Nepal and North India. Loved traveling with you guys and I was very excited to see how powerfully God moved during the meetings. I appreciate the fact that your heart is to go where others don t want to go, You re willing to spend your time and resources to reach the unreached. There are so many wonderful testimonies that have touched my heart. A young boy had severe eye sight problems. I prayed for him the first night but no noticeable difference, but the next night during the mass prayer time, he came running up on the platform testifying that Jesus healed Rashu - Was blind for 3 or 4 years. Instantly healed by Christ! Sukhar, Nepal Radio station manager wants us to broadcast 30 minutes daily, the Gospel of Jesus Christ on his station. This station has a listening audience of over 1 million people. Leadership conference in Sukhar, Nepal. Many had powerful encounters with Holy Spirit during prayer for baptism of the Holy Spirit and impartation time. 4

He could see clearly! Also, a very elderly lady came up for prayer and was gasping for air. The translator said she had a lung condition and she couldn t breathe and was very weak. After prayer, she displayed the most beautiful toothless grin I have ever Arun Chaudhary - 12 years old could not see for 5 years. Prayed for by pastor now can see clearly! seen! With a sparkle in her eyes, she declared that she could breathe and the weakness had left! She was covered in the glory of God! Lisa Yow This trip to India was a little like stepping into Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts...in present time Sylvia Jenkins Jesus used each one of our team members in Nepal in a powerful way. Bandi Kumari - 78 years old, bent over for last 12 years! Now back has straightened out after a pastor prayed over her. 8 By Mark R. Anderson Laying An Unshakable Foundation For Healing 1 Timothy 6:12 says, Fight the good fight of faith... Often when we are standing in faith for a particular need to be met by God, it can be a fight. We cannot fight successfully without understanding and walking by faith. Hebrews 11: 6 says But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Standing for your Healing Jesus said in Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. When do we believe we receive the thing for which we have prayed? The instance we pray for it! Therefore we should believe to be healed the instant we pray or are prayed for; whether it is manifested or not. This does not mean we ignore the problem but we let God s Word have complete authority over that circumstance. Once again the foundation of faith plays a vital role in standing for healing when not manifested. When do we need faith? Lets say I have a physical need in my body. I pray and am healed instantly. Now do I need faith for healing? Absolutely not, as I have received healing. However if my healing is not manifested immediately, then I need faith to stand for my healing. We should speak His word to our circumstance after receiving prayer. Our tongue sets on fire the course of nature (see James 3:6). Praise to God and confession of His word is an expression of Faith in God. Faith is the title deed to our prayers being answered (see Hebrews 11:1). Being Certain of God s Will for Healing Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven (James 5:14-15). According to this scripture the prayer of faith will raise up the sick. It would be absurd if I prayed for a sick person; with the phrase if it is your will added. This is undoubtedly a prayer of uncertainty, not a prayer of faith and will not produce the results of health for the sick person. How can we pray the prayer of faith if we do not know God s will? We cannot have faith for divine healing (or anything else) unless we are certain it is God s will. Hosea 4:6 says My people are destroyed 8

9 for lack of knowledge. Many buy into the lie that what one does not know cannot hurt you. Lack of knowledge can and does cause harm, especially from a biblical perspective. F.F Bosworth says in his classic book Christ The Healer It is impossible to boldly claim by faith the blessing which we are not sure God offers, because the power of God can be claimed only where the will of God is known Faith begins where the will of God is known. If God wills to heal only some of those who need healing, then none have a basis of faith unless they have a special revelation that they are among the favored ones. Faith must rest on the will of God alone, not on our own desires or wishes. Appropriating faith is not believing that God can, but that God will. When it comes to healing there are no ifs and buts. Healing is irrevocably God s will and the Bible is very clear on this. A number of Christians put question marks where God put a period concerning healing. By Jesus stripes I was already healed 2,000 years ago! 1 Peter 2:24 says who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed. Healing was provided in the atonement (see Isaiah 53:4-5). My body has to line up with His word. Many people say God does not heal some, assuming God is the reason some are not healed. Divine healing many times comes down to your focus and how we perceive our Heavenly Father. Are you zeroing in on what He has provided and done already or what you think He has not done? Look at the boy who was a deaf-mute and had epilepsy in Matthew 17: The disciples could not help cure the boy. Some would throw in the towel and say I guess God is not going to heal that boy and it is not His will. The boy not getting healed had nothing to do with God s will. What if I said God does not save everyone. Then I am putting uncertainty in people s hearts on whether they can be saved when we know it is His will that that all be saved (see John 3:16, 2 Peter 3:9, etc). Yet we do that with healing. We put question marks where God put a period. Healing was provided 2,000 years ago just like forgiveness of sins and salvation. It s all included in the word salvation/saved (Greek word sozo or soteria). We just need to receive it. The onus is not so much on God but on us to take Him at His Word. Jesus said the boy was not healed because of faithlessness (vs 17) and unbelief (vs 20). Then He proceeded to heal and deliver the boy. If that was a problem in Jesus day, with all humility do you think that could be problem today? Then the onus is on us if we are humble enough to admit it and change. Our Experiences -vs- His Word Too many believers build their life on their experiences rather than the truth of His Word. They wonder why healing is so hard to obtain. It is because their foundation is shaky if it is not built continued on page

10 Laying An Unshakable Foundation For Healing continued from page 9 on The Word. Jesus said you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32). What is truth? His Word! You can make a choice, believe the negative facts in the physical realm or believe spiritual truth? Spiritual truth super-cedes physical facts and sets people free. You can choose to live your life by the negative experiences you have encountered or you can build it on God s Word in order to have a foundation that can not be shaken. Jesus said heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away (Matthew 24:35). Psalms 138:2 says For You have magnified Your word above all Your name. My mother had breast cancer in 1974 and was close to death. She had no teaching or belief in healing in the major denomination we were raised in. However my parents got ahold of God s word concerning healing from a little book put out by Kenneth Hagin called God s Medicine. All it had was verses on healing. Each day my parents claimed the promises of God s word concerning healing. They said we are taking our Gospills. One day the Doctor said a mystery has taken place and we can no longer find cancer in your blood cells. 11 80 s. My parents taught us by example not to live our lives by the negative circumstances that come our way but by His Word. Little did I know how much that example would shape my life and belief system helping me carry the healing power of Jesus to many thousands over the years. This belief system has been tested. The first time I started out in healing ministry I prayed for lady who was dying of cancer. Within days she passed away. I could have built my belief system and theology on that negative experience and said I guess God does not heal all the time, like so many do but instead I built it on the truth of His word. Since then I have seen many 100 s healed of tumors, cancer, goiters, leukemia in Jesus name. My own son Jesse was in a coma with leukemia. Thank God His Word works. He was supernaturally healed by Jesus, happily married today with two children and not a trace of leukemia in his body. Acts 10:38, How God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power, who went about doing good healing ALL who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. The Gospel concisely states that Jesus healed all who came to Him, or that He healed every manner of sickness. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Jesus said He who has seen Me has seen the Father (John 14:9). If we desire to know God the Father s will for healing, we need to look no further than Jesus. He is perfect theology! He said For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me (John 6:38). Jesus was the express image of the Father (see Hebrews 1:3), who healed all who came to Him. Galatians 5:6 talks about the faith that works by love. The Bible states that Jesus was often moved with compassion when He was confronted with diseased humanity. That compassion for mankind drove Him to heal them. God the Father, the Almighty is moved with compassion at our frailties and yearns to heal us, if we would just believe in His implicit will to heal. In fact there is more of a basis for faith and trust in healing if we behold His love and compassion for humanity, rather than just His power. His love reveals His will to heal. Simply put, He has all the power to heal; yet unless people know His will to heal, expressed in His love, they might never experience His healing power. Jesus said in the Great Commission these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover (Mark 16:17-18). Some try to say that has ended. Jesus did not put a time limit on the Great Commission. He expects us to fill every word of the Great Commission today. In this scripture the word believe is an action verb and connotes a lot more than mere belief in something. It continued on page

12 Laying An Unshakable Foundation For Healing continued from page 11 implies undeniable faith, trust, reliance and dependence in the name and person of Jesus Christ and the work He did at Calvary. Jesus paid the price for our salvation, spirit, soul and body (see Galatians 3:13-14). Salvation is not only forgiveness of sins, but includes healing, prosperity, deliverance and protection. Yet unfortunately some have only embraced the forgiveness aspect of salvation robbing themselves of all the other benefits that come with it. With the uncertainty of health insurance, it s very good to know about health assurance that comes through the word of God. 3 John vs 2 says Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Divine health and prosperity are dependent on our our minds and hearts prospering in the knowledge of His Word. I love ministering at churches where pastors have laid an unshakable foundation for the miraculous. Over the years I would have to say our favorite church to conduct healing services at is Faith Heights in Grand Junction, Colorado. Pastor John Cappetto has laid a solid foundation for healing in the lives of his church members. It is easy ministering in that kind of environment where miracles and healings flow. Once while ministering at Faith Heights I had a word of knowledge that someone had lymphatic cancer. Theresa Stoner came forward to be prayed for and was instantly healed. She felt like dancing. That week the enemy tried to put the cancer back on her twice but she stood her ground putting into practice what she was taught by her pastor and the cancer never reared it s ugly head again. I tend to believe if Theresa did not have the proper foundation in God s word laid by her pastor she might not be alive today. If we are to see a move of God where healings and miracles are a regular occurrence we need ministry leaders to lay an unshakable foundation in God s word. Kamya 8 years old. Was born blind in her left eye. After laying hands on her she could see. Later that night she could not see out of her left eye. Kamya and her mother returned on the third night. I shared with them how to stand in faith for her healing. Then we prayed for her again, then she could see out of her left eye - Ballabhgarh, Harayana, India, February

13 By Sharmila Anderson Outreaches In North India Shubham - 10 years old! Had stomach aches since birth! Felt heat and coolness go through his body and was completely healed by Jesus. We conducted a 3 day mini campaign and 2 day leadership seminar in Ballabhgarh, Harayana, India a satellite town of New Delhi. The anticonversion law is in effect in Harayana and public Christian meetings are not permitted. The pastors we worked with operate with tremendous integrity and for a small budget set up a fruitful outreach. Approximately 350 people made first time decisions for Jesus. We were energized by the awesome miracles Jesus did there. Munshi Lal met with an accident 18 months ago that shattered his leg. He had a titanium rod in his leg that caused him severe pain. His leg never really healed. He walked very slowly with the aid of a cane, could not bend his leg, or sit Indian style on the floor. Prior coming to the campaign in the evening Munshi Lal went to doctor, Rehka - Had broken her wrist. Bone on bone! Healed by Jesus. Her hand was still shaking as she came forward to demonstrate her healing. requesting the rod be removed. He was told it would cost him $3,000, which he did not have. During mass prayer he felt something change in his body and the pain left his leg. He walked up to the stage without the cane, bent his leg and sat Indian style, without pain. He felt 80% better and felt he no longer had the rod in his leg. Rekha had broken her arm and it had not been set properly. It was bone on bone. She too was in severe pain and was unable to raise her arm or even move her fingers. The first night Mark laid hands on her and prayed, but there was no change in the way she felt. The second night she was instantly healed during mass prayer. She raised her arm high above her head and we could see her fingers shaking as she felt the power of God continued on page

14 Outreaches In North India continued from page 13 flow through her arm. Our team then travelled to Agra to minister to the girls at Karishma Girls Home. Little did we know that the girls would minister to us. They sang beautiful worship songs in English and Hindi and even danced for us. They also gathered around each one of us in groups laid hands on us and prayed for us. The undisputed feeling amongst all of us was one of being uplifted and energized by Holy Spirit. We just heard that Robin, the house father had injured his back and was bed-ridden. The girls prayed for him every day and within 2 days he was completely healed without visiting a doctor or taking any medication. Our final ministry stop was on Sunday morning where we ministered at the Family of Lord Jesus Church. This house church started a year ago with 8 people and today has about 100 members, 95% of them previously Hindus who have just accepted Jesus in the past year people attended Girls from Karishma Girls Home love praying over our team members. 15 the Worship Service about 50% of them Hindus. People were crammed into all the rooms and the balcony too. There was barely any room to move about. The Worship was so beautiful, intense, pure, full of life and passionate. It came from such grateful hearts. Worshiping with these new believers and Hindus was so very energizing and uplifting. There was so much reverence for the Lord. About 100 people came to Christ and many were healed. Pastor Ankit mentioned that they were hoping to move to a larger facility in a more central location but the lady they were trying to rent from was indecisive. However she attended the Sunday service, was very impressed with what Jesus did and agreed to rent the facility to them. The favor of the Lord truly rests upon this group of radical Jesus lovers. Their passion in pursuing Jesus, His healing, His presence, His compassion etc. at all cost is convicting. One 24 year old man from this church prayed for a man with AIDS. When the man doubted if Jesus could heal him, the young man told him that if Jesus did not heal him, then he (the man with AIDS) could spit in his face. This is confidence in Christ the Healer. 2 days later the doctor and a medical report confirmed that the sick man was AIDS free. (See our Fall 2013 Good News Magazine, page 8, Growing up with the demonic). Manju - Traveled a great distance to come for surgery because of severe blot clot on uterus. Instead of going for surgery came to our meeting where Jesus instantly healed her.
