5 JOHN 15:1-8 1 I am the true vine, and My Father is the vineyard keeper.

6 JOHN 15:1-8 2 Every branch in Me that does not produce fruit He removes, and He prunes every branch that produces fruit so that it will produce more fruit.

7 JOHN 15:1-8 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

8 JOHN 15:1-8 4 Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me.

9 JOHN 15:1-8 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me.

10 JOHN 15:1-8 6 If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown aside like a branch and he withers. They gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

11 JOHN 15:1-8 7 If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you.

15 JOHN 15:1-4 1 I am the true vine, and My Father is the vineyard keeper.

29 TRUE VINE: True source of real life, joy, satisfaction.

30 FALSE VINE: Promise life, joy, contentment, but do not deliver.

31 Once I have, or once I am, then I will have Life/Happy/Satisfied.

45 JOHN 7: On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out, If anyone is thirsty, he should come to Me and drink!

46 JOHN 7: The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.

47 JOHN 7: He said this about the Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit, for the Spirit had not yet been received because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

48 2 PETER 1:3-4 3 His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.

64 WHAT IS FRUIT: The life of Christ expressing itself in you.

65 JOHN 15:11 11 I have spoken these things to you so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.

66 JOHN 14:27 27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.

67 JOHN 15:8 8 My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be My disciples.

68 APPLICATION: 1. To remain in Christ is to keep on obeying.

69 JOHN 15: As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. Remain in My love.

70 JOHN 15: If you keep My commands you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Fathers commands and remain in His love.

71 KEY THOUGHT: Conscious intentional obedience is the means by which we experience the reality of our union with Jesus.

72 JOHN 8:30-32 As He was saying these things, many believed in Him. So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him, If you continue in My word, you really are My disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

73 APPLICATION: 1. To remain in Christ is to keep on obeying. 2. Get alone with God.
