Europa-Mobil Team 2012 Marie Boyette, France I am Marie Boyette. I am 20 years old and come from Nancy in the northeast of France. I am student at the Franco-German and European Campus of Sciences Po Paris. I am going to spend one ERASMUS-year in Berlin. Currently I am a volunteer on an East European Film Festival (Aye Aye Film Festival) and I am very excited to be part of the Europa-Mobil project. Agathe Bruhat, France Agathe is a French student in the Institute for European studies in Paris. She has leaved in Montreal (Canada) for 4 years, studying art management and working for music festivals as the Jazz Festival and the Nuits d Afrique Festival. She has taken part of several international projects like international young volunteer camps, Woofing (world wide opportunities in organic farms) and CouchSurfing. She is interested in contemporary photography, art house cinema and social projects. She used to play theater and now she sings classic music. In the future, Agathe would like to work for the cultural exchanges in Europe and particularly for the Franco- German Friendship. Adina Cristina Calacian, Romania My name is Adina Cristina Calacian and I am currently studying European Studies at Trinity College Dublin. My focus is on European issues and the phenomenon of global migration but I have a particular interest in the study of languages and culture diversity. I am looking forward to taking part in the Europe Mobile Project in September!
Raul Dumitraşcu, Romania I was born in God s year 1991, in Braila, a city with a travelers tradition. I was raised in Dobrogea, a splendid region with beautiful hills and a splendid Danube, during my childhood I tried to know more about Europe and our ancestors, the love for my people determined me to travel throughout Romania, also the books of many European authors and history encouraged me to give more attention to Europe future. Currently, I m studying economic sciences in Bucharest. I m keen on literature, music, plays, sports (football and swimming - even I do am a bad swimmer), travels, photography, history, geography, culture, Europe and other parts of the Universe. I would like to start a rap revolution in literature, or not quite a revolution, just I would like to read rap literature and maybe more. Theresa Herrmann, Germany My name is Theresa Herrmann. I just obtained my BA in European Studies at Maastricht University. From October onwards I will pursue a Master s degree in Public Policy at Erfurt University s Willy Brandt School. Besides my studies, I volunteer for the Dutch foundation Books4Life, play badminton in a student sport association, and am fond of reading and writing. Coming from a small village in the north of Germany, foreign languages (English, French, Dutch, and Spanish) and stays abroad such as a high school exchange year, a summer university, an Erasmus semester have broadened my horizon in unimagined ways. I have greatly benefitted from getting to know these places and fellow European citizens and would like to share my experiences in the framework of the Europe-Mobile project and more importantly, encourage the students to take advantage of their opportunities. I believe in European integration and cultural cooperation across borders and am therefore enthusiastic about the Europe-Mobile project which brings together young people from various EU Member States. Lea Hürter, Germany I m Lea, 22, from Germany and I m studying European Studies in Magdeburg in my last year. I m really looking forward to take part in the Europamobil project, to meet students from all over Europe and to realize the workshops with the Polish pupils. I m curious to get to know different views of Europe and to discuss European topics. Moreover I m especially happy the Europamobil will travel through Mazovia as I passed an exchange semester in Poland. I can t wait the project to start!
Paulina Jaskulska, Poland My name is Paulina Jaskulska and I study European Communication at European Culture Institute in Gniezno (Poland). I participated in two students exchanges during my studies (bilateral agreement between universities in Germany and Erasmus Programme in Slovenia). I also did the European Voluntary Service in a German academy dealing with non-formal education. I strongly try to believe in truth and people and until now it works and brings happiness. Sara Jud, Slovenia I am Sara Jud, 22 years old BA student of International Relations at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Previous study year I spent as an erasmus exchange student in Istanbul, what resulted in increased interest in the Middle East region and some travels in the region, as well as prolonged stay in the metropolitan city during the summer while doing an internship in international office at one of the city s universities. Many international experiences I had gained also as a member of AIESEC and nowadays being the European Student Think Tank Ambassador for Slovenia. I have applied for Europamobil in order to learn more about different perceptions of the European Unions and try to make also other people aware of its importance. At the same time I am sure the project will bring together lots of interesting people which will exchange their experiences and contribute to better Europe of tomorrow. Lucie Kuipers, France My name is Lucie Kuipers, I am a 23 year-old French student. After having studied law and languages for three years, I am currently studying European affairs in Paris. I have always been interested in learning languages and discovering different cultures. I am looking forward to meeting the other students involved in the project as well as the Polish pupils.
Sandra Kuna, Germany My name is Sandra, I am 21 years old and grew up in a Polish family, though born in Hanover, a city in the north of Germany. Due to my background, I feel at ease living in a multicultural environment where I can exchange thoughts and experiences. Since I started studying European Studies in the city where everything began, Maastricht, a year ago, I realized how important it is to be part of this project of common ideas, shared responsibilities, though so complex: the European Union. I joined AEGEE, a student association for European students, where I organize trips to other AEGEE antenna throughout Europe. Other projects like the European Model United Nations (EuroMUN) gave me another insight (Einblick) into how to find solutions for problems that occur when different countries and their interests come together and start negotiating. I am happy to contribute to this fantastic project Europe mobil, where everyone can learn from each other to understand how great it is to be able to say: I am European! Hey! Mirjam Michel, Germany/France My name is Mirjam Michel, I am 21 years old and I am both German and French. I like music, films and theatre and am very interested in Politics which is one of my two subjects at university. I study in my hometown Kiel, which is a beautiful city on the seaside in the North of Germany. But I really like to visit other places, meet new people from other countries and learn about their culture. After my studies I would like to work for an international organisation in politics. In my opinion, the European Union is so important because it has made peace possible in Europe for more than 50 years now and has made friends of former enemies. I believe that if people in Europe keep working together and respect each other we will be able to face the future and overcome the current obstacles. Maša Ocvirk, Slovenia My name is Maša and I am a 20- year old student from Slovenia. As I am a student of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana one of my interests is the European Union and because of that I can help the Europe-mobile project by sharing my knowledge to others. The reason why I applied to the Europe-mobile project is to encourage young people to learn more about the European Union so that they can seize the opportunities the European Union offers and as well to acquire new experiences that would help me in my further studies. My biggest passion is travelling, because every travel gives you a unique experience and I enjoy getting to know other cultures and meeting new people. In my spare time I teach children karate, volunteer at different events and workshops and as well hang out with my friends.
Hjørdis Petersen, My name is Hjørdis and I was born and raised in Stuttgart/Germany but have also lived in India, Canada, Belgium and in the Netherlands. I am 22 years old and currently taking Business and Economics classes at Amsterdam University. My background, however, lies in European politics: I am studying European Studies in Maastricht and will receive my Bachelor degree in One of my biggest passions is to gain intercultural experiences in life. I love travelling, moving to other countries, experiencing new cultures and meeting people from diverse national and cultural backgrounds. I have joined Europamobil because I am convinced of the importance and necessity of European integration. At the same time, I enjoy sharing my knowledge, especially when working together with children and young adults. All in all, I hope that my participation in Europamobil helps to advance the European cause by promoting the unique characteristics of the European Union: a union of countries which distinguish themselves by their diversity, yet which all share common values and democratic principles. I hope that I can make the pupils aware of the benefits of European integration and also convince them that the European integration process requires constant participation from all parts of society and especially from the young people. Julie Royer, Fance My name is Julie Royer and I study European affairs at the Institut d Etudes politiques in Strasbourg (France). Two years ago I spent one year in Prague as an erasmus student. This year brings me to travels around Europe and incresed my interest for european affairs. Europamobil is an opportunity to bring together young europeans, and will allow to discuss about European integration. Joao de Seixas, Portugal I m João and I m 21 years old. I m Portuguese, but I was born in Luxembourg, where I lived for 17 years. I am currently studying Politics at Loughborough University, in the United Kingdom. I am also really into the arts, especially music and literature. Being myself a true product of the European spirit, I ve always taken a keen interest in European politics and in World politics in general. I especially think that the European project has been the most important attempt at achieving and maintaining peace and understanding in the last 50 years. I do hope that the European construction is not jeopardized by the current economic conditions and that the European leaders will be able to find a way to overcome difficulties, allowing this enterprise to continue and flourish.
Astrid Soufflay, France I am a french student of political sciences who specialized in European Affairs two years ago. I have a love for travels and the discovery of new cultures which naturally led me to study the EU. I have just finished a six months long internship in Brussels at the heart of the European Community, and am looking forward to new adventures with Europe Mobile. Weronika Świsłocka, Poland I am 21 years old and I am from Gdańsk. I am currently studying Ethnology and Anthropology of Culture in Cracow, because I am interested in cultural and ethnic diversity. The best way of studying it is learning from other people. I love travelling, theatre, smiling people, Polish folk culture, sociolinguistics, dialectology, beautiful landscapes, trains, sun and Baltic Sea. I really enjoy working with children using creative methods, when they learn more and are not bored. I believe that Europamobil will be a very interesting challenge, so I am looking forward to the project. Marcin Szczurski, Poland My name is Marcin Szczurski and I am a 20- year-old in Poland and I am studying Quantitive Methods in Economics and Information Systems at Warsaw School of Economics and Roman Studies at University of Warsaw with lead language French. I originally grew up in a small city called Opoczno and now live in Warsaw. Life in such a microcity gave me ability to cross borders and have my mind wide open. I have always been a citizen of the world willing to overgrow my weaknesses. There are three passions in the world, each of which I can deeply relate to. These are: music, economics and working with people. I love singing and listening to music- I move to a complete different dimension while giving life performances with my rock band called InCorso. My dream is to be successful in music industry so that I would be doing music for living. My biggest life achievement is also connected with music- I took part in music competition "Guess the tune", where I was to guess songs listening to some piece of its melody. I am totally into volutary work, now I co-operate with the Centre for Thought of John Paul II where I am providing tutoring in subjects: mathematics, German, English. So I cannot help being so excited about joining my fellows form across the Europe on the board of our Mobil!:)
Roberto Noguera Vivo, Spain Hello, my name it s Roberto Noguera, I m from Spain I have my Bachellor degree in Business.
